Get funky challenge card!

Hello !!! Happy saturday everyone!!!!
I have had one of those weeks this week!! first i got stung by a wasp on my right buttock and oh boy did it go yukky!!! it was hard, very swollen and very sore for a couple of days!! now it is just sore!!!
than just when I really didn't want it to my mojo took a few days holiday without giving me notice!!! (lol!!!! I hate it when that happens!!!!!)
Luckily this morning I woke up with a little thought in my head and this is how it came out!!!! This is for 2 challenges!!! Firstly it is for the excting new Get Funky challenge. Anice gave us a gorgeous sketch to follow so pop over there to have a peek at it (...if I had popped the sketch here you wouldn't of wombled over for a peek now would you!!!! lol!!!!) I needed to se at least one funky hand paper but I decided on 2 and whipped out my salt and peper download ( oooh, its scrummy and YES you do need it!!!) I cut my oval with one of the papers in the collection and then paper pieced tilda's bow,t-shirt and shoes with the other piece which as super cute skulls and crossbones on it. decided to keep to a black and white theme for halloween and coloured ilda with my copic ciao warm grey's. The 2nd challenge it is for is the UK crafters thread where we needed to use swirls ( hence the pretty swirls in the background!!) a bit of black inking, silver ribbon for bling with my computer written sentiment on a stampin up oval and whehey job done!!!!!
Here is a close up of tilda so you can see how cute the paper is.
Right now I've finished waffling on for tonight so quick, click thatlink and get on over to Get funky
Thankyou for dropping by!!!

Sneaky peek-a-boo reveal!!!!!

Morning everybody!!! it is such a beautiful day here, the sun is out and the family daubney are getting ready to go the our local nature park for a walk with the furry one and tea and cake ( which of course is a necessity!!!)
So here is my sneaky peek-a-boo revealed!!

Isn't the image just so cute!! Find them here at the boutique I love my little SK8R dude!!!!
I decided I wanted to make something a bit different with my image this time and with my nephew Jake's birthday coming up I decided I just had to make him a sketch book ( no surprises here that Jake has inherited some doodling genes from Sam!!!!) He is like a mini version of me and sam combined ( mwhaw haw haw...we have taught him well!!!!!!)
I coloured in my boy with my copic ciao's and trimmed around him. Then I made me a book with my BIA, the pages are just A4 plain paper trimmed down a little, the super cool blue spotty paper is actually a wallpaper sample from my local DIY store!!!!!! I love wallpaper samples, the little blue dots on it are flocked and soooo nice to rub!!!!!!! lol!!!
I attahched a little sketching pop a point pencil with a rubber on to the inside so everything he need to sketch away in in the book!!
I used my george cart to cut some circles and my all mixed up cart to cut his name in normal and shadow settings in some cool silver mirricard. I inked the edges with a dark blue ink ( hard to see in the piccy but because of the pearlescent wallpaper the piccy kept bouncing back on the camera!!!lol!!!) and then I stuck my little boy and circles in a diagonal acroos the front of the book. I couldn't resist a few silver card candy faux brads, they are just so yummy and a bit of blue metallicy thread tied around the binding.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's creations with this collection, they are awesome!!
right then I am off to get my walking boots on!!!!
Thankyou for dropping in on me xxxxxx

Busy,busy,busy!!!!!!

Oh my poor little blog!!! i have been sooo busy that I haven't popped a post on you for a while!!! lol!!!!!
I have been so busy with the picking the new Lily-boo DT ( go check them all out, they are an amazing bunch) that my fingers haven't had the will to pop over here!!!
This is my funky little house on the prairie card that I made using anice's fab freebie from the get funky! challenge blog, (it looks ike it is going to be great fun over there so go and have a nosey!! I must get working on my challenge entry!!!) This card is for my lovely friend sharon who has been running around lie a mad lady for the past few weeks decorating and moving into her gorgeous new house. I just had to use the gorgeous papers and when I saw a little house on my wild card cart that I hadn't tried I just had to give it a go (...lou confesseses to only ever using the doilley card cut really on her wild card cart and slaps her own hand in disgust!! lol!!!)

I chopped the tops off and popped the little trees through my cuttlebug with the tiny bubbles folder and the inked them green and the pots silver and popped some foam squares to make them pop out. I also popped the roof and little window up too and 'fluffed' up the roof tiles. oh and a little basic grey brad for the door handle!!

I think this card is a cutie and I will definately be exploring my wild card cart a bit more!!!!!
Right I had better pop off to work now and see what mayhem me and the small peeps can create today!!!!!
Thankyou for popping in on me xxxxxxx

Tilda with roses leaving card!

Morning peeps!!!!!
I am on cloud 9 today!!! I sent a picture of one of my cards to simply cards and papercraft magazine and its in the letters section!!!!!! I didn't even know it was in there until my friend kate told me!!! so sam and I went to tesco and bought it straight away!!!!!! mind you...I had to get out of my pj's first!!! I know it is only the letters section but I am over the moon!!!!!!
So anyway!! this card I made for a girl at work who is leaving us tommorrow for a new job, I used the gorgeous tilda with roses stamp that I got in a recent stamped image swap I was in, she is just right for a leaving card I think with that big bunch of flowers!!!
I coloured her with my copics ( I even remembered to highlight her hair!!!!) and popped some glitter on the butterfly and glaze on the rose heads to make them pretty.
I printed out " Goodbye and good luck...." on my computer ( i just copy and pasted it a few times to get it to be a background and used a darker green colour, i quite like that bit!!) then I popped that part of the card through my cuttlbug with my script embossing folder and popped abit of green ribbon on the bottom of it.
Then I popped another mat under that and folded the corner over and popped a little basic grey brad through the fold. Then another mat ( i know i cheat by using double sided cardstock but it is sooo much easier to co-ordinate for colour challenged peeps like me!!!!) I gave all my mats edges a little rub with the edge of my scissors to fluff and distress them a little too.
The last mat I just left as it was and then I stuck them altogether on a card base I made myself with plain white cardstock,I inked the edges though so it wasn't too bright. I popped 3 little card candy brads to finish off the front and I used a scrap of paper I had left with a corner swirl for the inside I forgot to take a picture of that bit though!!!
I used my corner chomper a lot on this one ( ooooh i love my corner chomper!!!)
Right I had better get ready to go to work now!!! I have planned some sports day practice for the little people today ready for next weeks sports day!!!
Thankyou for popping in!!!

UK crafters thread challenge- shocking pink and lime green!!

Hello peeps!!!!!!!
well, the weather here today is blurgh!!!!!!! grey, rainy, dull, blurgh!!! so I was quite happy to do my uk crafters thread challege. This week it was to use shocking pink and lime green, they are not colours I have used before so this was a little bit like stepping out of my comfortable colours box!!!! lol!!!!! I had a really nice download called flirty snowflakes from Karen's blog that i love to visit, you should go there she is awesome.
I cuttlebugged the pink with snowflakes and the green with swiss dots to make it a bit more christmassy. I left a couple of the swirly bits from the green on and they just overlapped the pink nicely and I popped a bit of green bling on the ends of them.
I layered up the christmas tree and popped some pink bling on it for baubles ( it was nice to do as there were little baubles printed on there already!! ) and used my scalloped oval and oval punch that I got from rosy again ( oooooh i love, love, love it!!!! if you haven't got it you NEED it!!!!! lol!!!!!)
I did a little bit of pink metallic thread stitching and popped the sentiment on my ovals with my computer!!! the sentiment is part of that lovely 'have yourself a merry little christmas' song!! I decided it was a good one because it was such a bright card!!!!!!!!
Be warned guys, it is crafty night tomorrow night and sam will be bringing more images for the boutique and Ihave had some really cute ideas too!!!!!

My lovely new butterfly punch!!!

My lovely friend Karen got me this lovely butterfly punch for my birthday, when she is punched you can fluff her wings out and she becomes 3d.

I have been desperate to use it properly ( i have spent the last few weeks punching butterflies in scrap bits of paper and card!!!) and the challenge on the Uk crafters thread seemed like a perfect time to use it!!!!!

butterfly butterfly close butterfly open

The challenge was to make a card using plain paper/card and use 3 buttons. I folded my pink card so there would be a little pink edge showing and then ran my white card through my cuttlebug and then punched my little butterfly (shes so cute!!) then i inked stickied her up with my watermark pad and chalked her shimmery pink, (i did the same to the edges of the white card too) then i doodled a fluttery flight path with my fineliner pen and used 3 little pink flower buttons, threaded with a little bit of pink thread to match and it was done!!!!

I have had a busy week with  Ryan breaking his wrist and little mo being poorly (…..again! yey, more antibiotics and the upset tummy to go wit them!!!!) and looking though the entries for the Lily-boo DT call. Please go and peek, there is a gorgeous rose freebie from sam on the blog too.

Thankyou for popping in!!!

Silver anniversary and getting ready to walk 6 miles at midnight tonight for charity!!!

Morning peeps!!!!!
It is a glorious sunn day here in Lincoln (which is fab !!) I am sooo pleased it is sunny at the moment because at midnight tonight I will be walking 6 miles for charity. Lincoln is a lovely little historic town but oh boy do we have some steep hills to climb tonight!!! I don't mind though because it is for a really good charity so me doing a bit of a womble is no trouble at all!!!! Check out my giving page here
My friend Sharon asked me to make a silver annivesary card for her so here it is!! The picture was really hard to take as it is miri card and no matter how I tried to take it everything around the card kept shining beautifully!!!!!
I used my wedding solutions cart to make this one along with the 25 being cut from my storybook cart. I made myself a gatefold card with my scorepal and I used some gorgeous silver mirri card from my stash and embossed it in my cuttle bug with divine swirls for the front panels. A little bit of blingy ribbon went just right on the front. I raided my anitas gems for a bit of bling and computer generated the sentiment inside. I think it turned out really pretty.
Wish me luck for tonight and please no rain!!!!!!!!! lol!!!!

Diaper cake!! no eggs reqiured!! lol!!!

Helllooooo!!!!! not a card or anything made of paper which is wierd for me!! lol !!!!
Tonight I made a diaper cake for a friend at work who is having a baby shower for a friend. I based it on the really cute, squishy teddy I bought to go on top and covered the nappies in some sheer voile that is a champagney kind of colour. I found some brown gingham ribbon and made the flowery thingies at the front by tying an elastic band around a bit of viole and then trimming it, i pulled it around a little to make the flowery/rouchey kind of effect. I think I might get addicted to making!!!
I have to report though that I have been naughty and spent my months allowance on some yummy things from the new 'stampin up' catalogue that my lovely friend rosy sent me (......actually I have decided I was good actually because my wish list is a lot longer than the bits that I did order!!! lol!!!) I ordered 2 lovely oval punches and an oval stamp set and next month I will be starting on the inks and the rollarounds look cute too and ..............!!!! lol!!! Rosy, you bad enabler you!!!! lol!!!!
Well I am off to catch some zzzzz's now!!
thankyou for popping in!!!! xxxxxxxxx

Strawberries and dream....

Good Morning peeps!!!! it is so nice here in Lincoln this morning, we had a little shower of rain in the night and the air is lovely and clear this morning which is nice as it has been so muggy.
I am enjoying the quiet outside as in around 3 hours there will be the constant noise of helicopter rides and big planes!!! I live right near RAF Waddington and it is the airshow this weekend!!! Mo is not a fan of the noisy planes so we are taking a womble into town together and catching the bus back while scott and ryan are at a football tournament all day.
The card is my challenge card for the ukcrafters thread over on the cricut mb, this weeks challenge was to emboss and I just had to use this cute little guy from Lily-boo’s boutique Little mouse collection
I coloured him with my copics and cut him out, then I inked and doodled on a scalloped white card and popped a bit of satin white ribbon on ( ...i always follow robyn's cheater method for ribbon,it saves such lot of ribbon that way thankyou robyn!!!!!) then I glued on the cute mose and made a sentiment in word, I stuck with my "strawberries and dream....." sentiment, its cute with him snoozling away on a tummy full of strawberries!!!!!
Thankyou for popping in!!!!
