Mini books are so much fun!!

Morning Everyone!!!
Now I know that it arrived and Kat has opened it I can post her little book I made her last week for her birthday!!!!
I was going to put it in for the Get funky challenge this month which is pockets!!
I used some gorgeous pink flowery paper from the free romance colourway on my Dreams come true papercraft factory from funkyhand. I adore the whimsical flowers on this one.
I printed it out and popped it through my creatopia to make a huge funky sticker!!!
The card stock I use for my little books is actually beer mats!!! it might seem a funny thing to use but they are just the perfect size and very cheap to get!!! My mum picks them up for me whenever she pops down to her local!!!!!!! romfl!!! (they probably think " hey, its that lady that takes the beer mats home" whenever she goes in!!!")
The little pocket is made out of vellum, there's one on the inside cover and the first page is a pocket on each side ( just fold a little flap of paper up!)

The little pages are lined paper chopped up in my dreamkutz to make sweet little pages.
Now for my confession about the pencil....I too have my mum's genes....it is an ikea pencil!! I always pick up a few when we go as they are just so super handy. I covered it with a bit of my funky sticker to make it match and then made it a little holder from my scraps left over.
The little hearts are just punched out of the paper.
The super cute little annie's card from Tiddly Inks was perfect for the job as she has a plain card in her hand.
I added kats name and then coloured annie in black and pinks, nice and girly!!! she has glossy accents on her shoes and a bit of bling on the hem of her dress, awwwww!!!
Right then, I must dash off and get myself ready for a day of biking at clumber park, it is so beautiful there and we are meeting friends for a good old cycle around and bbq picnic lunch, yummo!!!!

A gorjuss little birthday card!

Hello peeps!!!!!

I have had another fun day with Mo, the combine harvesters are out in the field next to our house so we have spent the day running up and own the side of the feld watching them, the farmer was so sweet and waved back at Mo every time he came past and Mo waved lie it was the first time he had seen him!!!!! Lol !!!!

So today I had a birthday card to make for my niece's little friend, Amelie. The little gorgeous girl looks so sweet!! I coloured her up and then set to work finding some papers to match her!!!! ( I don't know why I do that but it seems to work for me!!!!)

I printed Amelie's name out in a soft brown to keep in with the colours ( i had to use scotts printer as mine ran out yesterday but you can keep a secret can't you?!!!!) and used my SU oval punch set to cut it out. I distressed it a little and then I embossed it on my foam mat then foam dotted it onto the scalloped punch out.

The papers are bloom and grow and the little flower is just punched scalloped circles and the leaves are my fav martha punches!! ( i have a thing for branchy ones!!)

A little bit of lace and a tiny scrap of paper and we-hey, it was done!!! I am just waiting for the fabulous scott to send me some piccies via our network of a little book I made for Kat for her birthday as my camera is on charge!! it has been busy!!!!

back in a bit!!

Playing with fabric!!!

Good morning peeps!!!!!

The sun is shining here in little ole lincoln today so I am playing catch up with my washing pile!!!

Now I have been so excited about my new DT home and I having a good play this last couple of days making some funky hand bits!!! I have printed so much out that my printing ink has run out!!!!! It was so worth it though!!!

I made this cute little fabric bag with my dreams come true papercraft factory and the bag template from the Funky Seasons cd.
As always I was spoilt for choice in the colourways and got little mo to choose a colour in the end!! he said he "I want a sunny colour because it was rainy outside!!" awww, though he did have great fun puddle splashing and a quick bike ride around the block before it started to pour down again!!!
How did I make it into the rub-ably soft material it is?!!!! It was easy!!!
First I got my blackout lining material. I use this because one side of it has the most gorgeous soft almost velour feel to it. I printed out the handbag template my normal printing paper (its 160gsm and fabulous!) then I ran it through my creatopia to make a big funky hand bag sticker!!!!
Then I stuck my funky sticker to the back of my blackout lining and gave it a good rub!! then all I did was trim around the edges and pop it back into the printer, material side up and printed the dreams come true paper on it! It dries really quickly so I just cut and scored it as I normally would and popped the bag together. I used sticky strip as its fab for being strong!! I love the little spotty paper inside the bag as it looks so pretty and covers up the boring bit of the material beautifully!!
I made a little flap for it to make it a bit handbag styley!! I drew an oval for the tag and stamped a quick happy birthday on it, added a little ribbon to it and glued it on.
The closing for the little flap is just a bow tied through a couple of eyelets on both the bag and the flap.
Mo loved the little bag, he found it when I went to make a cuppa and by the time I had get back into my craft room there were 7 little lego men peeking at me from inside the bag!!!!! so today I have the task of making another one!!
Right must go and hang on the first lot of washing and get a second load on (...the pile is rather large!!!!)

Please pinch me, I must be dreaming!!!

Oh my goodness me!!!!! I am so excited. I couldn't even sleep properly last night and I was desperate to email friends and shout from rooftops!!!!!
Why I am so excitable today?!!!!
Check out the top left of my blog.........just under the header......where it says........

I am still not quite sure I believe it and keep pinching myself!!!!!! I am so excited about being on the same team as the awesome ladies whose creations I look at with a dropped jaw every month on the get funky challenge blog and on their own blogs!
I really am just so happy!! Thank you so much team funky for looking at me and thinking I might fit, I hope I can make you all proud.
And little Mo's response to all this was.........
" mummy do you think funky lady will wave to me from create and craft now ?"
I was rolling on the floor with laughter, bless him!!!!!!
Off to make some more funky bits now (....that is if i can reach my printer from here up on the ceiling where I am still dancing and floating!!!!!)
Great big happy hugs

Lilyboo too august challenge!

Hello everyone!!!!!
Its that first day of the month again and the new challenge is up over on Lilyboo too challenge blog!!
This month we are having an 'anything goes' month, so you can have free rein with any card/creation you fancy but it must have a Lilyboo product on it!! but there's plenty of those to choose from over in our shop on Cuddly Buddly! We have digi stamps, rubber stamps, 3D digital decoupage and digital paper packs.
Don't forget there is also the freebie page if you don't own a boo and want to try one before you buy one!!! lol!!!
So over to my little DT creation for the challenge!!
I decided to use my favourite boy 3D decoupage, football fan. He reminds me so much of my big boy Ryan who is 10 and I really enjoyed using him. I actually love the 3D decoupage sheets, they are already coloured up and its so relaxing sitting and cutting out the bits and it all comes together so beautifully.
I made myself a trophy shaped card using the shadow function, in my cricut design studio. I layered it up with a normal trophy cut on both the outside and inside and added a bit of footbally ribbon to the handles.
I cut out and glued up my football fan and glued him to the front using the happy birthday sentiment that comes on the download.
I love the way this one came out and it is going somewhere safe ready for Ryan's birthday in march 2011!!!!!! ( I bet I put it somewhere so safe I can't find it when I need it!!!!!)
It would be so lovely to see lots of entries this month so come and join in with the fun.
I have a very excited Little Mo out in the garden, we have been to revesby fair show today and he spent £1 on an ex army telescopic sight!!! it is a little broken and just looks like a telescpoe but you would think it is made of gold! He is sat at his little table, looking through his telescope with a paper and pencil, " learning about birds and bugs" !!!! lol!!!! oh to be 5 again!!
right must dash, there is something on ebay I need to peek at!!!!

A tilda card I forgot to post!!!

Hello peeps!!!
I have had the most awesome day out with Mo and his little friends and I am absolutely pooped!!!!
The weather held out all day and they ( and the grown ups too!!) had so much fun, I have a few pics to add to my little something for Mo's best buddy, Callum.

Then gorgeous hubby took me to downtown on the way home for a little womble around the crafty bit and hey ho!!!! there they had the most gorgeous martha stewart branch punch I have been searching for for around 2 years!!!!! yey!!!! I am not sure I have ever picked anything up off a shelf so quickly!!!! so naturally that slipped into the shopping basket (well at £10 I couldn't leave it sat there could I?........) I love payday!!!!! romfl!!!!

So this little tilda wiper card I made ages ago (.....but realised just now I never posted it, I am sat in a half comatose state on my laptop flicking through my card piccies for inspiration to move my sleepy self!!!!!)
She was such a cutie. I made a little 'strap' and tucked a folded £5 note in the wiper bit for tiff whose card it was!!!!! I love the way her socks came out!!!

Right must go and try to wake self up, if I go to bed now I will wake up at daft o'clock and be lonely in a house of sleepy peeps!!!
big hugs

Summer birthday card!!

Oh its so dreary tonight, wet and gloomy! so I have just been out to my craft room and spent 10mins cheering myself up with a summery feeling birthday card for a dear friend. She is such a sweet and lovely lady and its her birthday on the 30th July. Its a little mini step card, 3" wide!! awwww.

The gorgeous little beach huts are a freebie from sj's musings. I saw them on caz's blog ( if you don't follow caz already, go and take a peek she is a whizz of a crafty girl!!) and had this little idea for them!!!

I coloured them up all pastelly and cut them out. The cute little girl with the swim ring is Tiddly Inks going swimming, coloured up all summery and cute!!! I even used glaze on her shades!!!! the sea is some adhesive water paper that my friend Fi gave me over a year ago and the clouds are some woodware fluffy stuff, I as quite ginger with it today as I wanted a whispy kind of cloud!! the cute little sunshine 'happy birthday' sentiment I made on my computer on a punched circle and chalked it yellow, a bit of glaze and job done!!! ( its still drying!!). I think this is so cute!!!
well,I am off to warm myself up with a hot vimto and get ready for Ghost whisperer ! it is on at 9pm and I lurve it so a quiet night for me!!!
Hugs Lou xx

Fairy Fae thank you!!

Mo is busy playing with his cousin Lily-boo so I am sneaking in a quick blog post!!!!!!
I know its another Tiddly ink but this girl is way too cute not to share!!!!!! This is Fairy Fae and she is the latest addition to the Tiddly inks shoppe!!!!!
I coloured her up with my promarkers and added a bit of spica glitter pen and gloss to her flowers and the flowers in her hair and her wings are versamark gold brilliance gently rubbed on with my finger!!
I made the card base last night and then it just wouldn't sit right with me so this morning I changed it a little adding a little martha lace to the bottom of the card too and a smaller flower matching the one on sentiment and now I feel much happier about it!!!
Not matter how I try it is just a bit overcast here and I can't get a really good piccy today!!!!
And Fairy Fae a little closer up, I just adore her, I have 2 more coloured up and ready to play with tonight!!!!

Right , must pootle off and play with these cute little guys!!!!! They adore each other and they are so sweet!!!

See you later, thankyou for popping in on me!

Daddy, you rock!!

Oh I just love having the holiday time with little Mo, he is so funny.
We were out again at 6 am bike riding and woofer walking ( which may not of been a bad thing as it is clouding over a treat here now!!!!) and when we got home Mo was off out in the garden with one of my little ikea jars, they are so sweet.

Anyway, I ask him what he is doing, he says " collecting some little rocks for daddy to stop his paper flying away on his desk" ( this is because whilst we were out in the craft room yesterday wih the doors open due to the mugginess of the weather, some of the papers on the desk started floating around with the breeze, mo thought it was hilarious and said daddy needs a paperwieght! of course then I got te super "why, what is one of them mummy?"!! so after I explained he just carried on playing, I thought nothing of it and carried on with what I was doing!

So anyway!! once he had filled up this little jar I had an awesome burst of inspiration! Here's a close up of the filled jar, oooh what fab rocks!!!!

A couple of days ago my bloggy friend Lou made an awesome card with her son George. George had done an absolutely super job of writing his friends name on a tag (take a peek with this linky, its way too cute!)

I got one of my coloured stash of Tiddly Inks out, I had the cutest boy holding a rock , called You rock all ready to go and he rminded me a little of Mo with the blondey hair that I just had to use him!

I punched out a circle and inked the edges in a boy grubby brown kinda colour!!! and then I asked Mo to write 'daddy you rock' (he added 2 kisses but I guess that is his right as the artist for the sentiment!! lol!!!!) All I did then was to stick the cute boy to the circle and stick them to the jar!!!! a little bit of brown gingham ribbon and a bit of crochet thread for rope and it was done!!!

It is now sitting proudly on daddy's desk waiting for him to come home and find it "for a surprise!" from Mo, awwwwwww, I could bottle this little guys lovliness and sell it!!! He wants to make another now forhis little friend who is moving soon,....though Mo is in complete denial about it and keeps getting upset!! so that will be one of our jobs for today. I have another baby card to make for a friend who has just had a little boy ( he and his wife have 3 girls already so I was so excited when they had a boy!) I might be back with that later and I have just bought the gorgeous Fairy Fae from Tiddly Inks, I actually squeeled when I saw her!! so she wil be getting coloured today too!!!!

Off to get on with crafting while Mo is busy in the garden!!!
Have a great day everyone!! Hugs Lou xx

Get Funky - something new challenge!

Hello everyone!!!
I am feeling a little more human tonight (..... bar feeling a little spaced out and tired!!)
Mo and I were out doing more biking at 6am this morning, he wanted to catch daddy up as daddy bikes to work but Scott was probably sat checking his morning emails before we even got started so Mo settled for a good ride around the block!! Today he was even brave enough to check out riding over the speed humps in the road and the giggles that followed melted me!! awww I am just so proud of him I cannot put it into words!!

So today really cute offering from moi is a new baby card to pop into the get funky challenge blogs 'something new' challenge. I used the delicious gingham paper that is on the cd in a beautiful green colour, I love this paper so much!! I used it on my little vamp boto card in the black and I just love its versatility. Be warned though peeps, there are so many papers to choose from in so many different colourways that it will take you 30 mins just to decided on which to use!!!!

I used my cricut wild card cart and cut at 5" on the blackout function for the base. The words 'little one' are from new arrival in both shadow and normal, I glazed them and added a little yellow bling to match the stars on my gorgeous little sleep tight baby from Tiddly Inks. His little blanket is flock which is soooo soft I keep rubbing it!!!!!

I have a stack of coloured images I need to put to good use so I might do a bit of crafting tomorrow too!! plus its easy finding paper to co-ordinate with my pre coloured images now I have my yummy new colour me happy cd!!! Thanks Anice!! lol!!!

Off to put the kettle on, anyone for a cuppa?!!!
Hugs Lou xxxx
