Tanker meets a Sense of Time!!

 Morning peeps!!!

How are you all today? good I hope. I am feeling a bit brighter today and have managed to get myself out into my craft room for a bit of finishing off!!!
I made a topper with a SU Sense of Time stamp set that my lovely friend Hev lent me (....ermmmmm, and it decided it wanted to stay at my house on an extended vacation so I owe Hev some pennies now!! romfl!!!) and I knew when I was making it that I wanted to pop Tanker from Tiddly Inks on it.

I only got round to getting my Tanker image yesterday as I have been poorly for a couple of days. Last night whilst scott and I were watching the Eurovision song contest (...yup I know its a little pants but I love listening to the commentators, I miss Terry Wogan but Graeme Norton did an awesome job and had me rolling with laughter!!) I coloured her up. Now I don't know why but she really reminds me of Amelia Earhart!!! its those cool goggles I think!!!
Anyhow, she got the brown's treatment to match my stamping of the Sense of Time set onto my creamy cardstock. I used Frayed burlap for all the stamping and antique Linen and frayed burlap to distress it all. On the little clock face you can just about make out the crackle glaze ( which is why I took a piccy from kind of above it!!!!)
........And get me.....I even did inside too!!!! wooohoooo Me!!!! lol :)
So Tankers promarkers were.....
Tan, sandstone, caramel, cocoa and burnt sienna. With a teeny touch of sakura clear star gelly roll pen on her eyebrows, bullet belt and boots.

She is such a cool girl!! so I am popping her in the challenge over on the Southern Girls blog which is Lets hear it for the girls.
So Hev will be pleased that I have posted my card I hope!!
I am off for a bath and a bit of breakfast now before Mo and I pootle off to my mums to plant out his strawberry plants into a strawberry pot.
Have a fabulous sunday peeps

Daring Card Makers Flowers for may & Totally Gorjuss sketch challenges.

Image- Bloom Little Lilly from Tiddly Inks.
Papers- Laura Ashley.
Hello peeps!!

This week over on the Daring Card Makers challenge blog it is the first challenge of the month which is always flowers. The flowers for this month are Lily of the valley and Hawthorn. You can you either one or both.

Sadly I didn't have a hawthorn but I did have my sweet little Lilli Claire- Bloom Little Lilly from Tiddly inks so I coloured her up to play along! ( ...someone please pick Kathy up from the floor because Lou has managed to make something and enter the challenge instead of saying she will and forgetting....!!)

I colured her up and followed the sketch from the Totally Gorjuss challenge blog's sketch challenge this week, the sketch is lurvely and here it is....

So this is almost a record for me! 2 challenges in one post!!
I have, however, decided today that 2 challenges for each card will be my limit. That way I know I have done my card with both challenges in mind personally rather than throwing it in for a load of challenges and not really thinking about it twice.

Right onto getting ready for work and school. Mo left his  prized fossil at school yesterday and has been pretty distraught about it, especially after his reading book from school was about them too ( arghhhhh!) so I am hoping it is still on his teachers desk and safe for him to collect at the end of the day.
Thank you for peeking in on me.

My Funky Fifteenth Spots and Stripes make!!!!

Hello peeps!!
Well this is a little later than planned due to Mr. Blogger eating up my scheduled post with its problems over the last day or so but better late than never here is my spots and stripes make for our Deb's Funky Fifteenth Spots and Stripes challenge this month.
There is still a day to go on it so get your Funky Hand papers out and get something made to join in for the chance to win a download from the shop.
A quick reminder that this months gorgeous rainbow stripey Get Funky! Freebie Download backing paper is still available on the funky hand website but you had best be quick as the freebie will only be available until the 14th of May as a new challenge will start on the 15th and there will be a new freebie download paper there then.

I used the extremely gorgeous January Blues colourway from the Craft The Year Away cd for my card, incorporating some of the super sweet digi stamps from the workspace on the inside too.

How fab is the workspace on the Craft The Year Away cd? and the fab news is that when you buy that one it upgrades the Dreams Come True and Colour Me Happy software too!!! Yey!!! 3 workspacesfor the price of one!!!!!

Well I had better get off now as I need to re-post my card for the the Daring cardmakers and  totally gorjuss
challenges as lovely Mr. Blogger has deleted it and my lovely comments from you all too, sob sob :(

Papertake weekly Punch it out challenge.

Image- Did You Hear? from Tiddly Inks.
Punch- Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge.
sentiment- Pink Petticoat freebie stamp set.
embossing- cuttlebug birds and swirls folder.

Hiyah peeps!!

I got some crafty time in over the last couple of days and this card is one I made for Papertake Weekly's challenge this week which is Fancy A Punch!

I just loved the title of the challenge so I had to give it a go!!! and armed with my totally gorgeous new 'Did You Hear' image I got busy!! I still love the fact that I prefer to make a challenge card just for one challenge, then I can just really enjoy making it and not trying to think of plonking stuff on it just to match another challenge too- that would tax my teeny crafty brain too much!! lol ! I am such a slow crafter!!!

I felt like getting a bit messy too so I printed out my firendship defintion paper and distress inked it antique linen, then I screwed it up good and tight!! once I had opened it all up again  gave it a quick rub over with frayed burlap and I love how it came out. I teamed a bit of rafia in to match the colors up and made a couple of mats with some card that matched her boots and top.
I distressed the all the edges of my paper and my punched edge too.

Promarkers I used were....... Skin- blush and soft peach.Hair- sandstone, caramel and cocoa. Overalls and bird- denim blue, powder blue and pastel blue.

Oh and while I remember,  I printed out my image, coloured it in and stuck it on my challenge card....then Christy emailed to say she had changed the thumb on Lilli claire's right hand so if you do love her oodles and go to buy her, she has had a little cosmetic surgery and looks even more gorgeous than this one on my card now!!!

Right got to get me to work. I am feeling a little off colour today :(  so another cuppa is required in Lou land me thinks!!
Have a fabulous hump day peeps!!

Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Mo Da Vinci !!

Morning peeps!!

Well this isn't a me post today, its a Mo post!!!!
When we went to the garden centre on monday Little Mo treated himself to a 6 pack of canvases for £2.99, bargain he said!!!!
As soon as we got ome he set to work on his first painting! he asked daddy what his favourite fruit was and daddy said cherries.......

Then he was off outside for a bit of a play with his little buddies. Half an hour later Mo Da Vinci was back and "fancied doing a bit more artwork" !!! oh he's so funny!!! I was informed it was my turn to have a picture. I was just noseyingat my good friend Christy's new little owl image and Mo saw it on the screen. "Ooooh mummy, I will do you an owl!" and off he set again!!!

Twoo cute!!!!
Then yesterday morning he decided he needed to paint his bestest friend, Dylan Dog. He has had him since the day he was born and Dylan still comes everywhere with us!!so he had a live drawing session with Dylan!!! He set him out as he wanted him and then got busy....

Yup, he's a bit asthma-y and sore in this picture! he was ok for the rest of the day though!

Dylan in the grass with flowers!

Awwwwww, his little face of concentration on each one is so sweet!!I have to admit Scott and I were both fairly surprised by how much time and concentration he took doing them,(... hence the proud mummy snapping away with the camera!!!!)
He drew his main part of the picture with pencil first and made up the backgrounds when painting the main picture! I love them!!!
Well, thats me for today i think, I am hoping to get out in my little crafty garage this afternoon when I get home from work and get some crafty time for me in!!!
Have a great day peeps !!  Hope this post made ya'll smile,
hugs Lou xxxx

I know I was, I absolutely loved it and the Tiddly Inkers and their special guests made some totally awesome cards for you all to drool over!! The Tiddly Inks shop is tip top full of the gorgeous new images so don't forget to pop over and buy some in the sale!!!
I will be announcing my little winners prize of the awesome Me and You image tonight so please pop back in on me later!!
And so onto the Tiddly Inks new challenge for this week which is....

Create a card with a vintage mothers day theme!!

I have had a stash of gorgeous thin cardstock ever since I got my cricut, it seems to be never ending and I love it, I had some beautiful vintage ones in there so pulled one out for this challenge make. It has teeny roses all over the patterned piece and a weathered light brown on the other side, perfick!!!

I used another one of the yummy new images called You are on my mind. I thought she was just perfect standing their with her heart in her hands, awwwwwwww, and armed with my super cute Peek a Boo box template from Adela at AR Designs, I got busy!!
Isn't it just the cutest ever little box?! I cut it using my MTC software. I am going to pop a little bar of gardeners soap on there for my mum as she loves her gardening, especially now it is getting warmer and everything is pretty and beginning to flower, mo loves helping her to water everything with his little watering can!!!
The roses are also cut in MTC and the little swirls are from my BF fi's marianne's die (...which I have warned scott I will NEEEED!) and the little tag is made using stampin up tiny tag punch, love it!! and harrington font on my pooter.

I am entering this little boxy card in the cute and girly challenge blogs May challenge which is anything goes.
Please pop on over to see what the Tiddly Inkers have been creating for the challenge and have a fabulous Tiddly Tuesday!! hugs Lou xxx
