Getting funky and sketchy!!!

Hellloooo!! ok this is a teeny bit late in getting posted as dippy here forgot to schedule on her own blog!! LOL!! I remebered the challenge blog post though so all is good :) :)
Its my turn to post the little roboty card I made using the fab sketch from da boss!!!! if you haven't already seen the original post from our very own Anice here it is......

Its a great sketch to work with and there are oodles of possibilities which the funkettes have been busy posting throughout the month.

You still have a few more days to get busy with one to join in with the fun and don't forget that if you don't own any funky hand papers yet, Anice makes a Funky Freebie each month so you can use that and be in with the chance to win yourself a download to play with for next months challenge!!! :)

So onto my little cutie pie robot! I used the Craft the Year Away papercraft factory and its November Rain colour way for most of my card, and sneaked in a little bit of the fabulous cog paper from the Funky Seasons cd.

The little teeny cog at the bottom of the flap is holding down a cute little surprise down there....

Awwww and here he is on a cute little springy thingy so he just pops out at ya when you open the flap. (Needless to say, Little mo loved this card and promptly stole it!!!!!)

I made the 'Have a robotastic birthday' paper ribbon in the workspace part in Craft The Year Away, its so cool, and I love that you stll don't have to worry about what colours to useas Anice co-ordinated them too when she did all the designing, she is sooooo smart!!! I added a bit of black ink to everything and hey presto!!!
So, please come and join in the fun this month, we love to see your creations. All you need to do is get busy with your funky hand papers or the freebie I mentioned earlier and then add your take on Anice's sketch.

Right, now I am off to run to my crafty room and take a piccy of the card I have made for the new sketch over on the Fetch A Sketch challenge blog...back in a bit.... :)

Cuddly Buddly digi challenge 2- flowers and lace.

Papers- Funky Hand.

Hello peeps!! only me!!!

I have had a lovely day trying to keep Little Mo fairly still so that his poorly neck can heal. He has pulled a muscle and disrupted a lymph node so he has been very sore bless him ( Lou thanks the lord for the invention of junior disprol.....)

My little card tonight is my go at the Cuddly Buddly challenge blogs digi challenge 2 -Flowers and Lace (....I missed the first one because dopey here used a retired digi but didn't realise until she had made the card and went to look for linky, derrrrrr!!) so better luck this time Lou!!!

Naturally I had to use one of my big sis's fabby flowery images, they are too cute and super easy to colour up all pretty!! Her little section over on Cuddly Buddly is Lilyboo Designs. Sam does a bit of allsorts so its well worth a quick visit!!!

I fancied another go at The Sketch File challenge blogs July ovally nice sketch too and this time I turned it up on its side for a bit of a change (ooooh get me all adventurous!!!!) I was also determined to use up some of my overflowing scraps box and managed to get all of this 5x5 card done in bits in my box so  am super chuffed!!!

I didn't have any red or black lace which I really wanted so I had to use my martha stewart punch instead but I am still pleased with that lacey look!! I added a cute little wooden ladybird too. The little flower was white but I coloured it with my black promarker and added a cute red flowery button and bit of black thread.

Right, I am off to get some sleep incase Mo wakes up sore in the night again, hopefully tomorrow it will start to ease up. The very lovely 2 doctors he had looking after him in A&E at 4:30am yesterday morning said it would get worse before it got better so I am figurung after 2 days of poo it should get better?...... :) fingers crossed!!
Thank you for popping in on me, huge hugs Lou xxx

Stamping stitches!!

Morning peeps!!

We had rain last night so its a lovely clear and crisp morning here today, phew! yesterday was so muggy!!

This is my little share for this morning and there are a couple of challenges I would like to pop it in for too.
The challenges are:
Paper Sundaes Faux or real stitching.
Simon says stamp A stitch in time.
A spoonful of sugar Sewing.

Now, my sewing on this project is Faux stitching. It is a stamp set that my very fab friends Fleur and Lou enabled me to find...and buy!! around a year ago and I have to tell you I would not be without this set, it is awesome and I use it all the time.
It is from the Kelly Panacci range of Hampton stamps and is called  SC0370 Kelly's Borders. There are 11 different borders in it and the wibbly stitching is my fav.

The photograph is of my amazing Nana on her wedding day and I adore this photograph. I printed it out onto canvas.  (mmm...confession time....Scott printed it out as I wasn't sure on the settings to use for the camvas in my printer...!!) trimmed it up a little with my scissors and then pulled the threads out a bit to get the frayed edge. Then using white SU craft ink I stamped the white stitching stamp on it.

I had to stain the lace a bit as it was rather white!! so it got a good old distress inks antique linen treatment!! A bit more 'stitching' was stamped onto the patterned paper with versafine sepia ink and the flowers I made with my SU boho flowers punch and a mini papermania one for the teensy stamen bit in the centres. The fronds are martha of course!!!! :)
I made myself a swirl of bling to match with my anita's mini gems and then mounted it all onto some gorgeous thin chipboard sent to me by an absoultely awesome friend in america.

It is 6.5" square and I am going to turn it into a wall hanging for my Grandad. It is their wedding anniversary next month but sadly my Nana is no longer with us so I hope he likes it and it doesn't make him sad. I am going to make my mum one later too.

So I guess thats me for now!! might be back later if I feel awakwe enough to do some crafting tonight (mmmm...doubtful as the dreaded hayfever kept me snuffling and itching my eyes most of the night!!)

Thank you for popping in on me huge hugs Lou xxxx

The little mousey's are from my penny black critter party transparent set. My little flower is actually one that was left over from something else I had been making earlier but I will post that one another day, don't want to max you out with too much Lou stuff in one day!!!!

Right I am off to wallow in my hayfever now and attempt sleeping with scratchy eyes and the blocked nose from hell!! my throat is sore too ( yup, i am feeling sorry for myself, I actually thought I had some sort of fluey bug this morning but now i am sure it is just more hayfever, ack!)

Tiddly Inks challenge 56- Bad to the Bone!!

Morning peeps!!

After a weeks break due to shop changeover the Tiddly Inkers are back!!! and we are ..........

BAD TO THE BONE!

So this week we need you to grab your Tiddly Inks images and use skulls and attitude on your creations this week. Now I don't need to tell you that the Tiddly Inkers have rocked this challenge so pop on over to the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and have a peek at some skully gorgeousness!!

For my card I used the fabulous Lilli Lolita. I love her to pieces, she is such fun to colour. I made my background paper in my PSP programe by using 3 of Christy's awesome papers ( all the linkies you need to find them are under my piccy) .

I added a bit of faux stitching and then cut out on of the skully cupcakes from the paper and added a strip of black martha stewart drippy goo punched paper over the top. I embossed a little oval with my tim holtz ledger embossing folder and added a bit of white chalk ink to it. Then I just had to cut out a skully cupcake from the leftover paper , they are too yummy not to use!!!! I stamped happy birthday on it and added a couple of holes so I could turn it into a rbbon slider.

A few yummy pearls and Lilli Lolita was ready to be to-skully Bad to the Bone!!!

Now, whilst I am on a Tiddly Tuesday poat I just have to share some extremely excitng news!!! Christy from Tiddly Inks and Zoe from Make it crafty have been busying away for a few months now getting some steampunk images ready and OMGoodness, they are awesome!!!
If you click on this little steampunky picture here it will take you right to the place where you need to be to get all the info for the upcoming release on the 14th July. I can't wait!!!
And when you pop over there you will find details on a chance to win 5 images by the very lovely Christy herself so quick, go now!!!!
Don't forget to pop over to theTiddly Inks store and see What's New ( i know for a fact there is at least one gorgeous new little image in there....)

And..... if you are looking for a Tiddly bargain, pop over to the new Tiddly Inks Bargain Basement site. there are oodles of tiddlies at reduced prices over there and for those who need an extra incentive, all orders over $15 in the Basement are still 20% off for the next week only.
Ok thats me for today, I am off to get ready for work and get a rather reluctant Little Mo ready for school. He has worked out this morning that he has just 14 more days left with his treasured teacher, Mrs. Kay. whilst he really likes his new teacher and is looking forward to being in her class, he is absolutely devastated that Mrs. Kay is retiring. Poor chap. Luckily she will still be popping into school to help with choir and guitar group but that hasn't stopped tears and worrying from my little guy :(

see you all later when I come bloggy wombling!!

Airshow celebration scrap page!!

 Afternoon Peeps!!!
Its a really gorgeous day here in our village. The airshow is on and my Grandad is here to watch it with Mo and Scott (...though Mo keeps scooting into the craft room with me whenever there is anything remotely loud going up!!!!!) and I have taken the opportunity of Grandad being here to get some piccies of him with Mo. Mo loves him to bits so its super nice for Mo too as its always a bit of a celebration when Grandad comes here (...it only happens once a year!! romfl!!!!) Mo and I made a yummy chocolate cake especially and Mo has been running back and forth from Grandad and Daddy with picnic food and drinks!! bless him!!
Whilst they are all sat watching the show, next to the field that runs along the side of our house, I have been busy making my June scrap page. Now this one will not be going in my scrap book as I have tied a little twine through it and popped it into my Grandad's car for a surprise for him!! I am not going to tell him it is there but he should find it when he gets home and picks his jumper up!!

Just in the bottom right hand corner I have stamped my new LOTV boy with his little aeroplane and really gently coloured him up with my promarkers.

I used my LOTV vintage postcard stamp to add a bit of fun around the edges of the page and just over the edges of the photographs at the top.
I cut a label out on my cricut and Mo wanted to decorate that so he wrote waddington airshow 2011 and added a little green heart.

He also wrote ' I love you Grandad ' down in the left hand bottom corner so I really carefully stamped over it with the postcard stamp to make it look as if he had written on the postcard!! then I stamped a few of my SU sense of time clocks around the page and distressed all around the edges with some tea dye distress ink.

I used one of theLOTV sentiment cirlcles to write the month and date on and popped that in the middle of the photographs. The little embossed stars piece of card looks really cool IRL.
When I had finished fiddling around with it, I slid it into a scrapbook page protector and added 2 eyelets and some twine so Grandad can hang it up when he gets home. I hope he likes it.

I am entering this in the LOTV challenge blogs celebrate challenge.

and here is the yummy cake Mo and I made....it didn't last very long!!!! It had chocolate and coffee icing! yum!!!
....and here is my little bowl licker!!!!
Right then, thats me for today!!! I have still got to clean up the messy end of my craft table from yesterday!! maybe later.....
Huge hugs Lou xxxxx

oooh Look what my awesome hubby has made me!!

Well, it started off with me saying " Baby, I would really love some pen storage above my workspace" at which point gorgeous hubby wet himself laughing and said " what work space?" mmmmm point taken, it was a bit messy so I promptly moved it all.....down the other end of my desk!!!!

Then off he popped with Mo down to the shed and they came back with some MDF, Yey!!! and off he set to work with all manner of manly gadgety things, isn't he fab??!!!

here it is going up ready for measuring and........yes thats some of the mess on the right handside of the photo...  :) and this is what he was making.....

here it is!!!!!!

isn't it fab??!!! I am so excited!!  I have lost 2 pens recently, I think I threw them away by accident whilst my desk was so messy so I am so excited to have a lovely space to keep them now. I don't have the whole set of promarkers but he did me some extra holes incase I get anymore. I am going to spend some time tonight putting the colour names on and some little stickers to match my pen ends and of course some time will be spent spoiling gorgeous hubby for my awesome pen storage.

Let the christmas cards making begin!!! :)

Morning peeps!!

Its a gorgeous sunny day here, all ready for fabby viewing of the airshow.....and I am making christmas cards!!! romfl!!!
Last year I was the hieght of total and utter unorganised for christmas so I am kicking myself up the butt and getting on with it this year!!!

Of course I had the cutest ever critters from the Tiddly Inks bargain basement to work with!! I love these guys! I printed them out, coloured them up and then cute them up to make my own arrangement from Kathy's sketch over on the sketch file challenge blog.

I have been working through my stash of papers and this one below used one of my papermania ones...

So thats me for today!!
We are going to my mum's later for an airshow day BBQ so that should be fun, we will have to walk as the traffic in our village gets super crazy on airshow weekend. I have had a quick look out of the window to see the roads and at the minute they are ok, cars are starting to trek down to the car parks but they are moving nicely......hoping it stays that way all day as last year got a little crazy!!!!

Have a great saturday everyone!!

Bunny Zoe's- Fairies and Truly Scrumptious-Things with Wings.

Stamp- mini tilda fairy.
 Hello Peeps!!

After several attempts to blog this little cutie for the Truly Scrumptious challenge blogs Things with wings challenge and Bunny Zoe's challenge blogs Fairies challenge this morning and giving up I have finally managed to get it to post tonight!!!!

I promise its not just a black box with magnolia swirls stamped on it!!....... it opens up to show this little magnolia mini fairy!!! she is mounted on acetate and bounces magically as if she is flying...cute!!! so here is a piccy of the open box...

I made the flowers with my SU boho flower punch and filled the centres with some yummy seed beeds. The fronds are of course, martha!! The big 'bubbles' are some clear beads. The bottom of the box I covered with silver mirri card so that the whole bottom and sides reflect on each other.

The paper is ....yep you guessed it....from Funky Hand!!! I just love those swooshy swirls. Heres a close up of inside the box, sorry the pictures aren't great, its surprisingly hard to take piccies of fairies in boxes!!!!

So tonight I  am watching a rather vintage Tron with Scott ready for watching the new one tomorrow night, I have to admit we are having a few giggles at the SFX!! when I was little they were awesome but when you compare them to what we have now its mind boggling how they do it!!!!

Thank you for popping in on me!
huge hugs Lou xxx
