Cuddly Buddly challenge 6- Faux or real stitching.

Morning peeps!!!!

Urgh, we have woken up to rain and grey skies this morning :( but to cheer myself up I have been busy creating a little card to enter in the Cuddly Buddly's lets keep creating challenge blogs Real or Faux stitching challenge.

I love stitching, it is one of the things I find really relaxes me. I used to cross stitch all the time before I was bitten by the paper crafting bug so a bit of running stitch seemed to be in order for my card.

My martha stewart cherish edger is always a fabulous one for stitching. It looks beautiful without the stitching too so its an all round winner of a punch really!!!

My little girly image is from my big sisters new wintery ones and I totally adore her. She is called Cold Days and is a complete bargain at 99p!!! I sized her up so I could fit 6 of her on one A4 size piece of digi smooth cardstock. I haven't finished colouring them all up yet but here's a little close up of her!!! she is just so sweet with her windswept hair and bobbly hat. And of course she needed fluffy wuffy snow to stand in....

The papers are all from my old stash of papermania ones. This little 6x6 pad is slowly fading to nothing now but I love it!! I will be so sad when it is all gone!! I punched out one of the little circles from the merry christmas sheet and embossed it to get my little sentiment button. I love it!

So, thats me for this morning!!! Don't forget to pop on over to the Cuddly Buddly blog as there is still time to enter this weeks challenge using a Cuddly Buddly digi. I am determined to enter earlier next week!! it always seems to be wednesday before I get myself organised!!

Have a fabulous day!!

Fetch a sketch challenge 4.

This is my 2nd post for the day so if you are looking for my Tiddly Tuesday post, it is HERE!!

I was having big bloggy problems last night ( after a totally huge snooze of 4 hours long...ooops!!) so I decided to get busy on my challenge card entry for the Fetch a sketch challenge blog

Here is the current sketch, if you click on it you will be magically pootled over to the fetch a sketch challenge blog....
I turned the sketch on its side and enlisted the help of a wintery edwin to help me get another christmas card make ticked off my list!!! I even did some real stitching on it with some metallic thread ( very threaputic when Mr Blogger won't work for you!!) and a bit of puffy wuffy snow for him to walk on too!!!

The gorgeous flowery black paper is from my Dreams Come True cd from Funky Hand. It is the 3rd paper in on the darkness lifts colourway and I love it.

So thats me for today!!!

Tiddly Inks challenge 61- Thank you teacher!

Image- Teachers Change The World from Tiddly Inks.

Morning peeps!!! Its Tiddly Tuesday again and we all know what that means!!!!!!! fabby new images in the shop and a fun new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and not forgetting ofcourse that there is always something exciting over on Christy's personal blog for you too!!!

This week our challenge is .....

Thank you Teacher.

and us little Tiddly Inkers were set the challenge on creating a little gift/creation/card for a teacher. We all know they do a totally awesome job looking after our little peeps so they need a thank you now and again!!

Well, I am a nursery nurse and I am on holiday with little Mo at the moment but when I go back to work in september I will gain a new group of little peeps who will be my keyworkers. I like to keep all the info I need on them in a little notepad so I can refer to it all easily and thus my little creation is a gift for me!! yey!!!

I coloured up my chosen image, Teachers change the world, all me style!! and added my name to the little chalkboard. Everyone at work calls me Mrs. D and I love it!! its a nickname that even the parents and children call me and it makes me feel at home when I am at work which is so nice.

Here's a little close up of the image.....

I also added some glossy accents to the big yummy apple in the bottom left corner and made a rosette out of my little sentiment by nestifying it and adding a paper ribbon to the bottom!! cute!!
My notepad is a pukka pad so it has a really handy plastic front that will protect my little altered front page a treat.

The alphabet paper was a download from the papercraft inspirations blog, I just printed it out on some cream linen paper.

This was a super fun make and I am thinking of doing a few more notepads now (ya'll know what I am like once I get addicted to something!!!)

Right must pootle off and have a quick look around bloggy land before I go and pick up Lily and Jake for another day of playing!!

Thank you for popping in on me. Daft as itsounds, little comments and visits from peeps make my day.

Huge Tiddly Tuesday hugs

Basic grey -sizzling summer.

Morning peeps!!

How are you all this super monday morning I am fab. I am so enjoying my holiday time with Mo and spending some qaulity time together.

Last night when he had gone to bed I had some time to make a little tent card for the Basic Grey challenge blogs Sizzling Summer challenge.  and Papertake weeklys Anything goes challenge.

There's nothing cuter in summer than seeing the little peeps enjoying it so I just had to ink up my new little tilda baby in her cute fuzzy bunny slippers and pop her in a lovely magnolia summer garden scene!!!

I used papers from my Basic Grey Sugared pad again ( yes, Lou, Fleur and Louise, I am totally blaming you guys for making me use my stroke only papers!!!!!! xx) I paper pieced the bunny slippers and frilly pants so that they matched the papers (How fab is the flamingo and giraffe paper!??)

I punched the edge of the top piece of paper with my martha stewart punch and then nestied out the shape for the cut out bit.

I made myself some teeny weeny but totally cute flowers for around a couple of the corners and tied in some brown by inking the edges and a bit of brown organza ribbon around the top.

Now, its actually quite hard to take a piccy of a tent card!! It took me no less than 16 attempts to get these 2 pictures!! ROMFL!!!

So thats little ole me for today!!!!

In a couple of hours I am taking Mo and my niece and nephew out to the opening of our new asda's ( which is quite daft as it is open already but has had a bit of a shuffle around and a pharmacy put in therefore needs an opening celebration.....) and there are going to be people dressed up as star wars characters. Well, how excited is Mo?.............
This excited!!!!!
Mo-bi Wan Kenobi !!!
(Yup...they are white pj's but I am sure no-one will notice....!!)
Lol!!! he's too funny!!!!
Thank you for popping in on me and May the force be with you!!!!! :)

Allsorts challenge- Red card.

Hello peeps!!
A bit of a late one from me today as I have been having fun with the boys today!!! They have been skateboarding!! Ryan bought Mo one of his old decks and some wheels and they have been practising all afternoon, Mo's first time on a big skateboard but he loved it!!!
I made him wear his bike helmet!!!

And so onto my red creation for the Allsorts challenge blogs Red challenge!!
I had an anniversary card order to fill and felt like getting my funk on with my Funky Hand papers!! this card using papers from Dreams come True ( for the gorguss bottom bit)  and Craft the year away ( for the cool splattery looking top bit).

I cut a heart on my cricut, stamped my magnolia love stamp on it with fired brick distress ink and then distress inked it a bit more with tattered rose and fired brick. Then I covered it with some really pretty vellum and added a couple of SU tiny tags to it. I used the flourish stamp and made a sentiment on my pooter for the other!!

The bit of vellum across the centre is actually really pretty IRL as it is crimpled and shiny and matt, (same on the heart too but doesn't show up in the piccy ,grrrrrrrr.) and I just had to have a bit more of a play with my new pearl maker pen thing, I love it!!!

We have the most mahoosive black cloud over our village tonight so I am thinking big rain soon, yey!! no plant watering needed tonight!!!!

Thank you for popping in on me, I do love a visit!!!!

CES- feeling the blues.

Afternoon peeps!!!

I was having my bloggy womble this morning and realised I hadn't played along at a challenge I fancied this week which was the CES challenge blogs feeling the blues challenge. and the My Mums craft shop Monochromatic challenge.

I wanted to make my big sister a present to cheer her up because she has had a poop week at work. This little mini- kleenex box I saw on my friend Catherine's blog and I just had to try it because it looked so cute. Thank you catherine,  am addicted!! got another one on the go too hun!!!

I bought my little bumble bee gorjuss girl last week from Funky Kits and was so excited when she arrived.
I stamped her in Faded Jeans distress ink and then heat embossed it. I coloured her up with promarkers in cool greys and duck egg and pastel blue to keep her all monochromatic and matching her to my papers. I think she looks really cute.

I made the little flowers out of an old book page and spritzed it with some crafty notions spray and added some pearl maker pen to the centres while it was wet, the colour of the spray bleeds into the pearl and it looks so pretty.

well, thats me for today  think!!! I am off to see what the little peeps are up to!!!

Thank you for peeking in!! huge hugs Lou xxx

LOTV challenge 108- Roses.

Morning Peeps!!

Last night was a late one here in our house, it was just too hot to sleep so Scott got on with his gadget boy pooter stuff and I got busy with a card for this weeks LOTV challenge which is roses.

I was so sad to read of Heather from their DT being unwell, so before I go any further with my post I want to send Heather some huge get well wishes xxxxx

And onto my little card to enter the challenge with. I used 2 stamps from LOTV for this one, one from the sentiment verses sheet and the cute little wedding couple, awwww!! I even tried to make myself some teen tiny roses to egdethe sentiment but I am not sure they came out very 'rosy' so my roses will have to be the brides gorgeous little posy, which got coloured up and then a good old splodge of glossy accents added to it!!! I used a sketch that was on the challenge blog a few weeks back but I love it and have been using it quite a bit!!!!

Today its just me and Little Mo. We are going to go to the library and meet Daddy for lunch. Its forcast rain here today (...oooh yes please!! the air is so muggy!!) so it will be a lazy day all round I think!!!

Have a lovely day and thank you for popping in on me!!
Huge hugs Lou xxx

Pudding Girl!!

Image- Pudding Girl from Lilyboo Designs at Cuddly Buddly.

Morning Peeps!!

I am pleased to report that I am feeling much better today, phew!! Tea stayed where it should last night so I managed to do a little crafting before bed which was lovely.

There are a couple of challenges that I have been desperate to join in with this week and this little pudding girl is just for them. The challenges are:

Cuddly Buddly's lets keep creating challenges are quite a new challenge blog but fabulous as I have quite a few digi's from there and its lovely to be given a push to get using them, they even have lots of freebies for those who don't have any to choose from but with all the designers they have over there now, its a struggle to pop in and not buy a cutie!!! Here's a link to all the digi's at Cuddly Buddly if you need enabling!!!

I had an idea for this card from the minute I saw Pudding Girl in the Cuddly Buddly shop!! I love her to bits!!! she got printed out and coloured up with my promarkers before a bit of nestie-ing treatment!!

and because I was feeling better I decided to stick with my christmassy idea and dug out my little poinsetta flower dimension stickers from a goody bag I got a long time ago. They fluff up beautifully and look so pretty around the edge of my little circle.

The pearls are from a lovely green set of different sized adhesive pearls from papermania ( they are from my stash of oldie but goodie stash too!!).

The papers are some old papermania ones too but I love them.

And that me done for today!! I have some little peeps to go fetch now and a busy day ahead then a few more cards to make!!

Have a great day hugs Lou xxxx

Tiddly Inks challenge 60- We are gel-ling!!!

 Morning peeps!!!

Its time for another fabby challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and the DT have been having great fun with this one!!!
This weeks challenge is....

This week we are asking you to make a gel window on your project---it can represent water or other creative ideas, as you will see below, like crystal balls. Our very own Meredith made an awesome tutorial HERE if anyone is wondering what on earth to do!!!

Little Mo and Dady were most disgruntled when I pinched their hair gel and squished it into a little bag and then added some blue crafty notion glitzy spray!!!! Mo was even more puzzled when I added a few hearts to the bag too!!!
But by the time I had nestied a little card, layered up the inside and printed out the sweet little Catch My Heart tiddly he had clicked as to what I was doing and was rather impressed at my " squishy card"!!!

It was a bit hard to take a picture of the shimmery blue gel though as the camera kept bouncing off the plastic bag but it looks cute. It is just 4x4 size.

Now I must aologise to all my bloggy friends for not popping in much this week. I have been really sick with a tummy bug ( ...shared by the lovely little mo!!..) and have not had the energy to do much at all. Last night I slept from 6pm until 10:30pm, got up went to the loo and then fell back to sleep!! I feel a little less jelly like this morning but rough so hoping to feel much better and back to my bloggy self really soon.

Don't forget to pop in on my awesome Tiddly peeps on the challenge blog and see what they have been making for the challenge to get you all inspired to go!!! we are joined by the extremely talented Lucianna for a while too so go and welcome her in for us as she is fab!!!

Huge Tiddly Tuesday Hugs!!

The big guy golfs by the sea!!!!!!

Image- Mo Manning's Big Guy Golfing.
Magnolia port hole stamp ( cant remember its name!!)

Morning peeps!!!

How many of you love making cards and then get that order ( from your dad...) and say, " Yes of course I can do that Dad" when he gives you your little list of needs for it ( which was... name: kipper. Likes:golf, spent a lot of time at sea and he is retiring from being a DHL truck driver...)
Well, beads of sweat formed on my top lip for around an hour ovwer this one...and then it just all plopped together onto a card and I was quite pleased with myself!!!

I think I remembered everything for it!! I made the sentiment myself in word and googled 'kipper' to get the little kipper picture on it. I did try writing the name kipper but the fish was way more fun so I chse him!!

Lots of distress inking on the background ( ...very theraputic when you are not exactly sure where you are going with the making of the card...!!) I masked the magnolia stamp up before distressing away!!
The big guy is coloured up and popped out with some silicone on top.

And here is inside the card.....

I just had to get the lorry in there somewhere!!!!
The pages on the right are actually 10 pages and I had to sew them in as Dad needed 100 people to be able to sign it!!!!! phew!!!!

Promarkers used-

pastel blue, powder blue and denim blue- shirt and sky
sandstone,caramel and cocoa- trousers, shoes,socks,hat,boat,porthole.
pear green and olive green- jumper and grass.
cocoa,cooly grey 3 and 4- golfclub.
pastel biege- ball
ivory- clouds.
Challenges I would love to enter with this card are....
Totally papercrafts- one for the boys challenge.
I love promarkers- Anything goes challenge.
Allsorts- Free and Easy challenge.

Its such a fun card. Right I had better get my butyt into gear and get dressed. Little mo is actually more organised than me this morning and is dressed already!!
Have a great day peeps!!
