A gorjuss girl for my gorjuss mum!!

Stamp-  Sugar nellie poppy gorjuss girl.

Morning peeps!!
I hope you are all having a fab thursday!! I am off to work in a bit but I had 5 mins so I thought I would share the card I was making for my very special mum yesterday. My mum loves poppies (....and dragons too...but I felt girly!!) so I decided to ink up my poppy gorjuss girl for the first time (yes...she has been in the stroke only box for a while but I really wanted to use her for mum) Its her birthday on sunday so I am ready on time!!!

I chose a selection of papers from Funky Hands Happy Happy birthday papercraft factory, these ones are from the Birthday Gal colourway and I love them.
Then I coloured my gorjuss girl up in the same colours as the papers!! I love doing that!! I also stamped a little bit of magnolia swirl around the edges of her for a bit more yumminess!!!

I have been asked by a couple of people where I buy my ribbon to match my images....the answer is that I don't buy coloured ribbon much anymore. I buy lots of white satin ribbon and to make it match I just colour it with one of the promarkers I have used in the image I am using on that card!!! I just lay it out on my desk and swipe the chubby nib of my promarker along it, if I want it a touch darker I do it twice. It makes things sooooo much easier for matching ribbon up so I hope that answers the question peeps xxxxx

So, onto my squidgy little mo!! his face is still "funny" as he describes it!! He is still his happy jolly self, just a bit tired so hopefully its just a bit of a virusy reaction!!

Have a gorjuss day peeps!!
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Little Miss Sunshine!!

Morning peeps!!
How are we all today? Great I hope!!! I feel like a squillion dollars today because Krista, Owner Saturated Canary Digi's asked me if she could feature some of my cards using her image's over on the Saturated canary challenge blog!! I am so excited and feeling teary but in a very happy way!!!!! Its just so nice to know that people like the little bits you pootle away making in your little crafty rooms (....or converted garages as mine is...!!) Thank you so much Krista xxxxxx

Anywhooo!! happy Lou moment sorted!! now onto my little card. I got an order in for a card at work yesterday, the words were " a best friend card for a birthday" so I came home from work at 1pm, had a cuppa, read some emails and then got to work on this little cutie. I chose Little Miss Sunshine  because she is just such a happy little bean and she makes me smile whenever I use her.

I am joining in with a couple of challenges with this little cutie pie. They are...

the papertake weekly challenge blogs Get Into Shape challenge. All you need to do is use 3 different shapes on your card and your card base can count as one of them. I went for a square, rectangle and circle as my shapes and then with the little scrappies of paper I had left after making the card I used my SU Boho flowers punch and made myself a little flowery corner. Now, my little flowery corner obsession at the moment I am completely blaming on my lovely Pops. Whenever I go wombling over to her blog she has the most beautiful flowery corners. I still need to buy me some wild orchid stash, I am a bit slow on the uptake of buying flowers, but I do love how my little Boho punch flowers come out!!! and on the subject of punches...
the whimsy stamps challenge die cuts and/or punches with my little flowers and punched SU sentiment too.
And my mums craft shop challenges Inspired by a song challenge . My song just has to be "you are my sunshine" with that smile, whose day wouldn't she bring some sunshine into??!!!

Right , off for a cuppa and a biscuit or 2 now...anyone want one ??!!! I am kind of phone watching today as Little Mo woke up with his face looking a bit blotchy and funny. He has gone like that a few times now and the Dr always says its a virus. Poor little Mo has had mummy asking every 5 mins if he feels ok this morning and he kept saying " yes mummy, I can't possibly miss school for a funny face, I don't feel funny I just look funny" he he he he!! he makes me smile so much!! but I still had a quick chat with his teacher to keep a squidge of an eye on him incase he goes downhill later to call me.
Have a fabby day everyone!! huge hugs

Tiddly Inks challenge 68- Boys will be boys !!

Morning Peeps!!
Its that Tiddly Tuesday time of week again and so its time for a fun new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog. This week the Tiddly Inkers want to see your....

I really enjoyed this one. Little Mo is really getting into wall hangings now, his room will soon be covered in them. He loves dressing up and pirates and indians are his absolute favs so off I popped into the depths of my tiddlies and dug out this little treasure of a pirate!! he so cute isn't he?
I printed out 2 maps and mounted one straight onto some thin chipboard then I cut around the shape of the map. I cut the corners off the other map and added them onto the board mounted one with some foam squares ( hard to see in piccy but looks real cute IRL!)

Dread Pirate Dylan also got some foam popping out treatment. The little sign part I made in word and then distressed it and added crackle glaze on top, now can I get a piccy of crackle glaze.......nooooooo but it does look awesome I promise!!!

I added a bit of garden twine for hanging it up and cut out the skull from the compass to add to the knot in the string. Yargghhhhh!!!

Now a sneaky little mo has already snaffled this little treasure, little monkey as I was going to put it away for his birthday!!! He has a huge pirate map that my friend shabba bought for him above his head in his bedroom and he was so excited when he saw the sign for his door mummy couldn't say no!!!!

Right must get a wriggle on as am in work today for an extra day and I haven't even thought pack up yet so better get moving!!!

Have a fabulous Tiddly Tuesday!! Hugs lou xxx

Violet.

Old book pages.
Evening peeps!!!!!

I have had a wonderful day with my hubby today. He had the day off so we went out for breakfast and then spent the rest of the day at home, he pootled around on his big boy pooter and I had a little bit of a make!!!

The challenge I am entering with Violet are....
Bunny Zoe's challenge blog is Lace it Up - the lace is pink and layered at the bottom.
.Craft your passion challenge blogs- a card for all occasions.

Violet is coloured in with darker skin tones as this little card will hopefully be going in the post to my little sister in the seychelles. Both my little sisters and my step mum are dark skinned so I was desperate to have a go with the darker brown promarkers. I think I did OK for a first go, she even has little rosy cheeks too. What do you think peeps? Did I do OK? here is a piccy of my little sis, Colette.
She is 16 now! wow, where did those years go and she is my god daughter too. She looks so grown up and beautiful in this picture, its one of my favourites (...though she might cyber bop me for blogging her!!! hey, thats what big sisters are for right??!!!)

So thats me for tonight. Little Mo has been a little off it tonight so I am hoping now he has settled down to sleep he is OK through the night.

Pinky birthday and Boo update!!

Hello peeps!!
Its a late one from me tonight I am afraid!! he he !! :)

I had a very indulgent couple of hours spending a few hard saved pennies at the paper craft show, got myself some yummy new background stamps from my lovely friends Ali and Iian and some papers from my lovely friend clare ( ...and clare's mum of course!!!) and had a quick womble with my BF, Fi.

Now onto my card!!! Pinky was my first ever Tiddly Inks digi and she holds a special place in my Tiddliness as she was the start of my journey into my Tiddly Inks obsession and where I met awesome and dear new friends over on the Tiddly Inks pcp page. It also took me on a journey to being a Tiddly Inker on the Tiddly Inks DT which I am so proud of. So out came Pinky to help me make a quick birthday card tonight.

I made the card base in paint shop pro so that I could print it out as one layer (this little card needs to be posted so I didn't want it to be too thick!!) Once I had printed it out I gave the edges a good old distrezz it all treatment, added the ribbon and charm and stuck it onto my card base.

Pinky is coloured with promarkers and then I cut an oval with my nesties and stamped the grid texture on with some white SU ink. I have to say I am in love with my new background stamps!! (Little Mo particularly liked the distressed dots one!!)

Now for a little Lily-Boo update too! She has a good old break at the bottom of her arm. They needed to take her down to theatre to pop her to sleep and have a good old look at it while she couldn't feel pain. It took them an hour to wiggle it all back into place, which they managed to do for now without pins which is fabulous. We will hopefully know a little more on tuesday when she goes back for some more x-rays. Fingers crossed she will be ok but for now she has a mahoosive plaster going right up her arm to her little arm pits, holding her arm at a 45 degree angle and boy its heavy!!!
I was very touched by Mo and Jake yesterday though. Mo promptly burst into tears when he woke up and I told him Boo was hurt and then they both spent the day wondering how she was despite being busy doing boy stuff like playing on big planet little planet 2, watching Bridge over Terebithia (...and yes, I did cry at it....again!) and Fantastic Mr Fox and eating popcorn!! when we went to drop Jake back off when Boo got home, Mo picked 3 "bestest flavours" mini chuppa chop lollies out of his sweetie box "to take to cheer Boo up". I have an awesome family and am very proud of them too.

Right off for bed now!!!
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

TOMIC- My halloween wall hanging!!

Morning peeps!

Its a bit of a funny day here today. My gorjuss little niece, Lily-boo, has taken a tumble from her bike on the way home from school yesterday :( to make it worse, she has broken her arm in 2 places and as I type away on my potter she is fats asleep in surgery having it fixed :( poor little pickle. So we have Jake ( her big bro) here and Mo is trying to cheer him up with a bit of a play on the PS3, they are playing big planet little planet 2 and a few giggles are erupting from them both so I think its working!!

Onto my crafty share of the day now!!! and its for the Halloween anything but a card challenge over on the TOMIC challenge blog. We lurve halloween in this house so it was fun to make a little spookable wall hanging for little Mo. Now confession time.....this is little Mo's stamp!! he bought it from clare's shop, Cloud 9 in Horncastle, and hasn't used it yet so I bet I will be in a squidge of trouble when he gets this little cutie!! a

The fun halloween papers are from Funky Hands Spooky Dookie download. Its such a fab one for little peeps halloween creations as its funky rather than terribly scary....which Mo wouldn't like hanging on his wall so much!!!!

I lurve my orangey bat material!! how cute is it??!!! my mum bought me it from boyes on wednesday!!! and the spooky web and spiders I bought from the range last weekend, 99p for a bag of web and spiders, bargain!!!!!

Anyway, I am pootling off now and waiting for a call from big sis to see how boo is.
Huge hugs Lou xxx

Deconstructed sketch challenge.

Morning peeps!!

This week Tiddly Inks is sponsoring our very own gorgeously talented Jen over on her sketch challenge blog, The Deconstructed Sketch, and I was super excited to join in (...gorgeous sketch and gorgeous images = total fun!!)

I chose an oldie but a goodie from the Tiddly Inks basement store to make my card with. She is called Katrina and I adore her. I teamed her up with the key paper set, also in the basement store and a complete bargain might I add!! :)

I was having a red hair moment again so out came the poppy, cardinal red and burgundy promarkers for some delicious red hair with a few white gel pen highlights, I lurve red hair. A couple of the girls at work have red hair like this and it looks so pretty.

I embossed a piece of vellum for the triangle with my cuttlebug script folder and then distressed it up some!! I coloured her dress in tan, caramel and cocoa to match the walnut stain distress inks in that I used on the key paper. I really like those bits on the paper that stick out where I cut around the keys.
A little line of pearls just finished it all off.

Please pop over to the Deconstructed Sketch blog and see what jen and her awesome DT have made to get you all going!!! and join in for the chance to win some Tiddly pennies!!

I am off to work now, tea is in the slow cooker so I don't need to worry cooking when I get home tonight, yey!!!!
Huge hugs Lou xxx

The sketch file- october sketch.

Hello peeps!!

Its a quicky card and a quicky post from me this afternoon!!! I have totally got hump day feeling and am mostly vegging out on the settee with a crafty mag but I just had to have a super quick play at kathy's new sketch over on the sketch file and enter the Truly scrumptious challenge blogs Distressing challenge.

I was feeling experimental decided to go all out distressing with no colouring (...boy that was hard because I just wanted to colour those super cute little ragamuffin girls soooo bad!!) and screwed up my book pages and then distress inked them, punched out some scalloped circles from the pages too and inked them and made them into a yummy little corner flower. I very messily stamped my magnolia swirl around the card base (...yup, my little bloggy watermark is attempting to hide the bit where I was a bit too messy....)
and I scrumpled my ribbon on too. So in a nutshell I am as messy as my desk in my crafting today!! romfl!!!

Now if you fancy joining in with this gorgeous sketch challenge below I can magically ping you there with the click of a piccy...yep, the piccy below....
:) did ya'll ping yourselves there yet?!!!! I know Kathy and her teamies will be very pleased to see you if you do.

So messy me is off to get messy in the kitchen now and make some pasta bolognase  for tea tonight!!

Getting a bit more saturated!!!!!

Papers- Christmas Joy by Mindy Terawasa
sentiment stamp- magnolia

Hello peeps!! me again!!!

I just had to share my quicky make of the day with this adorable digi from Krista over on Saturated Canary. Now this image isn't available in the shop yet. Krista made it specially for Tiets club members (thankyou Krista xx) and I am so proud to of been able to use it. Isn't she just beautiful? I think she is going to be released in a couple of weeks.

I decided that I wanted to use some non-traditional christmas colours so using Tiets sketch ( which might I add had all the measurements on it, thank you so much Tiets!!!) I made up my card base in some of the papers I bought a couple of months ago. I got them from the range and they have been my favourite christmas paper buy ever!!!
Then it was onto fun colouring time!!! I kept to the colours of my card base to colour her in so my promarker choices were pastel green and soft green, pastel pink and antique pink, tan and caramel. Her hair is vanilla, tan and caramel and her skin is blush, soft peach and peach. She has some little hints of white gel pen in there too!!

I am entering this cutie into a couple of challenges. They are...

Thankyou for popping in on me, huge hugs Lou xxxx

Tiddly Inks challenge 67- Use paint on your projects!

and Rainbow Forest from Tiddly Inks.
Morning peeps!!!
Yey!!! Its Tiddly tuesday again and its time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog.
This week we want to see......

 PAINT on your creation
it can be any kind (oil, watercolour, distress ink) or any technique - just paint on it!!!

I decided my little art journal was just the right place to get painty and mixed up some blue metallic acrylic paint. I splodged it all over the pages and left it to dry (....for a couple of days!!!)

I stamped a whole lot of the clock faces from my SU sense of time set all over the pages in faded jeans distress ink. I printed out my Rainbow forest and coloured up my little Time will tell to match the forest! I love her little purple dress. When I had finished colouring them, I tore around the edges, added faded jeans ink to them and added them to my pages with some wet glue.

I did the same to my quote and glued that onto the pages, when they had dried I put crackle accents over them but can I get a good picture of it.....Nooooooo!!!! romfl!!!

Christy has been busy drawing up some christmas cuties and today this adorable little Lilli Claire is new to the shop...go get her..you know you want to!! :) if you click on her you will be magically pinged to her...
So I can't wait for you to go over to the challenge blog and check out the Tiddly Inkers gorgeous creations, there are so many ways to include paint on your project, then get our your tiddlies and get painting!!! and we have a gorgeous new Tiddly Inker too so go and leave pops some comments for me please because she is so talented and fabulous.

Huge Tiddly Hugs!!
