By now you must of all gathered that I LOVE Krista Smith's images. I got the most exciting email early this week from Krista Smith of Saturated Canary digi's (....I actually had to read it twice, rub my eyes then read it a whole tonne more before I realised it was actually real and for me!!!!!!) and I am now on the Saturated Canary design team!!!!

OMGOODNESSSSSS!! me a little canary??!! So I am so excited, humbled and completely honoured all in one!! Thank you Krista and huge happy birthday hugs to you too hun xxxxxxxx

Force also has a gorgeous little lady friend too so if you are feeling the love force you will need to get them both to make an awesome valentine card for your other half (...Lou hopes scott isn't reading this or he may just grab the jist of what his valentines card is this year......:)

I coloured my cute little guy up in promarkers and then teamed him up with my 'just chillin' we r memory makers papers. His little light saber actually sparkles but man I could not get a good piccy of that, 8 piccies later and this was the best I could do....
You can just about make out the sparkle.....lol!!!!

I truly feel blessed this week, I have the best balance at work I have had in a very long time, an awesome and supportive husband, son and stepson and great friends,3 awesome DT's . Can life really be any better than that?!

I will be back in a couple of hours for the Funky Hand blog hop so for now I am going to go and get a cuppa, snuggle up on the settee in my pj's with my little Mo and just soak up the love in my house today!!

Tiddly Inks blog hop details!

Morning Peeps!!
So that all you Tiddly Inking peeps are ready and prepared for the hop tomorrow I wanted to share Christy's post so you can get your gorgeous creations ready in time!! so here we go......

Theme: Friends are the Flowers of Life: Use any Tiddly Inks digital image to create a card or project and participate in the blog hop

How to Participate:
This is actually a 4-step process:

One, you have to make the card in advance using a Tiddly Inks image, preferably with friends or flowers as the theme, but it is open to any TI image.  Just have fun! :)

Two, post your photo and information on your own personal blog on January 13 before 12 PM CST--and at least by 5:45 PM CST---so you can meet the 6-hour window to enter the blog hop. The title of your post should be "Friends are the Flowers of Life - Tiddly Inks Blog Hop".

Three, once your blog post is live, visit the Tiddly Inks challenge blog (our enrollment list will be open for 6 hours--see times below) and link your blog hop post at the bottom of the "Flowers" Blog Hop post (there will be an Inlinkz list) in order to be qualified for the prizes. There is no need to sign up in advance---just have a post ready to link.

Four, the enrollment time will close at 6:00 PM (and hopefully we have about 30 to 40 people who linked) and then we hop around and view their cards---and your card---from the list on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog. Sounds like fun, right? Last time we had a hundred-plus people coming around and commenting and it was fun!! :)

Dates:
6:00 PM CST on Friday January 13 to 6:00 PM CST on Saturday January 14

The blog hop will run until January 14 at 6:00 PM. We will have a wrap-up "party" on January 14 in the Tiddly Inks PCP group from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM CST. Stop in and chat with us in the comment section at the bottom of the page. Between 6 PM and 10 PM CST, one lucky PCP commenter will be randomly selected to receive the next 2 Tiddly Inks stamps before anyone else (free of charge).
Prizes: Two blogger participants selected from the Tiddly Inks Inlinkz list will be announced on January 15 and highlighted on the TI challenge blog. Each will receive a $10 gift voucher.

There will also be random prizes throughout the DT blogs, so be sure to comment and visit each one. :)

My february calendar page and Tiddly Inks blog hop!!

Morning Peeps!
I am up bright and early with some exciting news this morning!! If you check out the little Wryn box at the top left of my sidebar you will notice that the first Tiddly Blog hop of the year is amost here!! squeeeeeeee!!  That means of course a few Tiddly Goodies and lots of mouth watering yumminess from the Tiddly Inkers!! yey!!!!! and whats even more exciting is that you get to join in too by creating some of your own Tiddly creations and linking in!!! Love it!! don't worry if you don't own any Tiddly Inks images yet as Christy has some free ones here in the store. Get started on your creations now though as they need to be ready to link in.
If you pop on over to Christy's Blog she has more details and  is having a little early give away and you can grab that gorgeous blog hop blinkie for your own blogs too!! I am just so into Wryn I could plaster her all over!!! :)

And so onto my creation for today!! this is my february calendar page. I made it in word again, this time using Grow a little love Wryn. She is too cute and perfect for february as she has that beautiful heart plant so she is good for valentines day!!!!!

Here's a little close up of cuteness.....:)

I coloured her up with my promarkers and  then distressed and stamped around the edges of my page. I am absolutely loving making my own calendar page and cannot wait to get started on March!!
I am entering this little sweetie into a few challenges, they are:
CES- Anything Goes.
Top Tip Tuesday Anything Goes - my top tip....I wanted my gorgeous Little Wryn to pop over the top of my calendar pages so when I added her picture I chose the 'in front of text' in the picture formatting. This way she just seems to come more alive popping over the top of the box. png's work best as they don't leave any white space
Anything Goes- Anything Goes challenge.

Ok thats me for this morning!! Little Mo and I have a breakfast date with Sophia and then I need to drop them off at school / nursery before I go to the dentists ( ack....my mind is already thinking of suitable excuses instead of having to ring them saying I am terrified and can't go...!) then the most exciting part of my day is a cuppa with one of my oldest and favourite friends, Leah. I can't wait!! we have some catching up to get done!!

Have a fabulous day everyone and don't forget to pop over to Christy's blog for the chance to win a Wryn!!! :)

Saturated Canary - CAS

Hello again peeps!!
2 creations in one day??!!
This one is for the challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog which is CAS.(....gulp!! CAS is not my strong point...I have a layers addiction..!!)

I coloured up my beautiful Crafty Ragamuffin to match the paper and added a little blue in there for contrast.
The paper is from Funky Hand's Funky little christmas, it is paper number 8 and its fab!! its kraft and funk all in one for me and I love the stitched running down through it.

A bit of distressing to the edges with some Frayed Burlap and a little LOTV stamped sentiment and it was done!!

Well, I had better get off really, I have one tired little man to get to bed and then I am going to finish off watching 'New Moon' ( i put it on during my funk this afternoon, I cannot tell you how much a sparkly Edward and half naked Jacob helps your mood lift...:)

Thank you for popping in on me again today!!!!

Wicked Wednesday ATC -60's!

Morning peeps!!
Its a quiet one here. Mo is at school so I have just been pootling about getting my laundry in the washing machine and thinking about what I fancy doing for the rest of my day!

To help me get going I decided to get my ATC done for the challenge over on Wicked Wednesdays. Its a super fun 60's theme this week! yeah baby yeah!!! and I decided to make a calendar for my purse with my entry.
I covered my ATC ( ...simple plain scraps of cardstock cut at 2.5 x 3.5 " ) with a scrap left from my BG two scoops 6x6 pad and coloured up my digi from Tiddly Inks. She is such a cute hippy looking chick with her hair flower and groovy top! I popped her on and then printed out my calendar. It was a gorgeous freebie from Very Merry Vintage.
I just cut each month out and the sewed some thread through so that once it was stuck down, each month can be ripped off easily as it ends. I just had to doodle a little peace sign on there too!!

I love these little ATC's. They are a perfect way to ease yourself into the crafting day and use up some scraps of paper.I quite often end up using my ATC's as a little card topper! they look so cute on a card.

Right then, cuppa, bloggy womble then crafty day!! wohoooo!!
have a fab day peeps

Winter Fun !!

 Afternoon Peeps!!
Its been a lovely morning again here in our little house!!
The weather was pants and Mo fancied going to funfarm ( for my friends over the pond, funfarm is a mahoosive soft play adventure play area!) we got there for opening time and 2 hours later we had one very chilled, hot and tired little man!! we popped to get some shoping on our way home and Scott is watching the football so Mo and I are crafty pootling!!

I had a 3 challenges that I wanted to join in with so I decided to make a card that would include all 3!! they are...

I got my base already a la Jen's sketch. I embossed the top layer of white with my snow flurry embossing folder. I cut my skates and sentiment from my Winter woodland cart. The little swoosh behind them is from my storybook cart, its the fancy corner from the 'w'.
Here's a little side view so you can almost see the skates pooped up a little!!

I also doodled some dots on here and there with my black pen.
Now for the giggles.....do you have any idea how long it took me to get a piccy of a black and white card???!!! omgoodness!!! so 14 piccies later and I thought these 2 were ok!!!!

So I think thats me for today. I am going to spend the rest of my afternoon just tidying things a little while Mo is busy here next to me, he is being a huge help stealing all the little bits he fancies and popping them into his little cake slice shaped box I made a while ago ( which he also stole!! it is good for soldiers, buttons, leafs and stones and I am surprised it has survived this long!!!!)
I might even ink up my lurvely new gorjuss snowman stamp that Mo helped me to choose yesterday! ( I am determined to get a good run on cards this year as I was daftly behind again last year!!)

Have a fabby rest of your sunday peeps!

En's Grey, white and red colour challenge.

promarkers- cool grey 1,2,3,4,5.
cardinal red, crimson and burgundy.
Afternoon peeps!

I have to admit to having a fantastically lazy day today!! we pootled over to Horncastle to spend the last of my chrimble pennies in Clare's shop (...which might I add is extremely easy to do because it is full of yummy stuff!!!) Mo got himself some glow in the dark fimo which he is very excited about using!
Then we got some yummo fruit and vegetables from the fruit and veg shop next door which I love and a  fruit  croissant (mmmmm, yeah, it had to go wrong somewhere...!!!) from the cake shop. ( no worries...had it with a cuppa so all calories melted now.......)

Anywhoo, onto my card for the day!!!! My gorgeous crafting buddy Enfys is starting a monthly challenge over on her blog Going Buggy and this month she has set a colour challenge of  Grey, white and red. Oh goodness, that was a challenge and after 3 more cups of tea and pasta and vegetables for lunch, Mr. Mojo finally knocked at the door with an idea!
I coloured up my little Sprocket with my promarkers ( colours under my card piccy) I decided to use her as most of my grey and then dipped into my scraps box for a couple of metallic grey scraps from my colorbok 12x12 pad.Its a lovely pad with dark greys, ligt greys and pearly coloured cardstock in. Here's a sprocket close up!! the sakura starburst just doesn't want to show up but its dotted around her and looks lovely IRL!

I had to put my new TH weathered clock die into action too and the hands made a great charm. I cut the clock in white and then coloured it in with my cool grey 2 promarker, the darker shading is my cool grey 4, my promarkers are just perfect for sneaking in those little die cut areas! I did the same with the hands and then tied them on with some red rafia.

A little bit of embossing and general Lou fiddling and adding on later and my card was done!! I really enjoyed having a little play with this one as its a colour combo I don't use much, thank you En xxxxxxx

The little sentiment and heart are from Technique Tuesday and I love them, the white cogs are from my SU sense of time set which I totally adore!!!

So what are you all up to tonight? Scott and I are going to snuggle up and watch 'Troll Hunter' when Mo goes to bed. I am in a big film mode at nght at the moment, I think its the dark, chilly nights but its sooo much fun. Last week I did all my Vin Diesel films, we finished off with 'Pitch Black' last night ( couldn't resist watching 'Riddick' first even though 'pitch black' should of been the first!!!) I am so thankful for a hubby that likes staying in and watching films, it gives us some real nice times together and I love that.

Right must go and look at what I can do for tea now!! Thank you for popping in on me
Huge hugs Lou xxx

New Begginings engagement.

Image- You and me from Tiddly inks

Challenges I am entering..
Morning Peeps!!
Its an extra windy one here today so I hope the little people don't get blown away when we play outside today as I am back to work today!!!

My card today is a bit of a special card, one of 2 I need to make following all the fabby chrimbles engagements my friends have had!!! Anyone who knows me will know that I absolutely love weddings and babies and think that they are 2 of the most special new begginings any 2 people can share. I just love that feeling of new and special.

This card is for Amy and Dane and I just had to use my Tiddly Inks You and Me image as Amy has the most gorgeous red hair you have ever seen, I absolutely love it! and I wanted some kind of shabby chic looking papers so went for my Laura Ashley ones.

They are all onto a kraft card base whivch looks so lovely with the little embossed heart and I popped their names and the date they got engaged ( christmas day!!) on the little tags, they are made with my SU Jewellery Tag punch. I put some embroidery thread through them and then then through the little heart.

Of course, magnolia swirlage was needed!!!!! and then I added some yummy pearl maker pearls around a few of the edges. there is also some sakura starburst pen dotted around the couple and some red at you spica highlights in Amy's hair!! I surrounded them with some frayed burlap and faded jeans distress inks too. I hope they like it!!

Well, Mo is exploring a huge tin of buttons my mum gave him yesterday, he has been sat there for ages holding them up to the light and flipping them over, putting his favourites aside in his paddington bear treasure box! who needs toys eh?!!!!
Right better stop waffling and get ready for work!!
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

My January calendar page.

Morning Peeps!!

I couldn't resist entering a few challenges this morning..
papertake weeklys anything goes week , they are also having a 'new' theme extra if you like and the
Allsorts Challenge blog- new Begginings .

I just had to share my January calendar page with you. I just couldn't find a calendar I fancied for this year, I looked everywhere but nothing was grabbing me and when I got my new Wryn's from Christy I knew they would be just perfect for me to do my own thing and make my own calendar!! yey me!!!

I made the January page in word on my computer and then I added Wryn to the top. I placed her so that her little feet just come over the top, she looks so cute that way. Then I printed it out onto some of my yummy promarker cardstock.

** teeny edit- I have had a couple of emails from people asking for the word doc for just the calendar dates. If you would like it too please email me but be aware there will be NO WRYN on it, she is available for purchase HERE it will just be the calendar blank. The font will be comic sans and you can highlight all the page and then change to font for whatever you fancy on yours.**

On the back there are 2 little magnets. I bought them from yellow moon for Mo ages ago but they are just perfect for the back of this as it sitting nicely on my fridge side now!!

Here's a close up of Wryn, she is just so seriously adorable. I have to admit to being completely hooked on her.

promarkers:-
skin- blush, soft peach and peach.
Hair- sandstone, cinanmmon and cocoa.
Dress and bird- cool grey 2,3,4,
Top and shoes- antique pink and coral
Tree- cocoa and sandstone
Leaves- olive green,pear green

I stamped my fav magnolia swirl around the edges in frayed burlap distress ink and then rubbed faded jeans over the top to make it all smoosh together.

So I guess thats me for today. My little Mo goes back to school today and I am dreading it. I absolutely adore having him home and he is less than keen to go back today but I am sure he will love catching up with his friends, I will be lost at home without my buddy though!!

Thankyou for popping in on me!!
Huge hugs Lou xxxx
