If you can't beat them....SMASH them :)

Afternoon Peeps!!

Well today's plans went pants up when the dreaded monthlies arrived for me :( I have endometriosis so its a very painful and traumatic few days. However, this morning after taking 30 mins to get out of bed and get some painkillers I decided it was time to get even!!
If you can't beat it ....SMASH IT!!!
So I plodded out to my crafty garage with Mo and my hot wheaty bag and set to work!!
Lots of grungy stamps, distress inks and some journalling later and here it is!!! My monthlies journal page!!
I hope I don't offend anyone by smashing and sharing this, its just that it is such a big part of my life. When you have endometriosis it doesn't just end with the monthlies coming, you get back ache a lot and feel icky a lot before it actually comes :( I am still working in the doc's to give me a hysterectomy but they want to exhaust all other avenues first (...which includes me!!! I would rather just get it over and done with!!!)

And heres my gorgeous zombie girl!!!...which is probably just what I look like at the minute after 2 500mg co-codamols!!...which I also had to include on my pages of pain!!!!
I inked them a bit so they fitted it with the grungy colours!!
Its a bit tricky to see but my little zombie chick has a kind of mottled effect going on! I coloured her up and then dotted my blender pen over her and her kitty to get them a bit more zombiefied!! she is also edged in green copic spica pen which sparkls a treat, will try and get a piccy of it later and add it on!

The font for my journalling is called 'Lefty Monster' and I got it from dafont for free! (...though my own handwriting is so monstrous it probably would of fit in quite well!!) I printed out the words I was feeling, inked them and then mounted them onto black card.

I am actually amazed at how much better I feel for getting some of my feelings down onto a page I can reflect on ...well, that and the fact that 2 lots of painkillers help a whole tonne :) :) and ripping round the edges of the paper was fun. I loved tying knots in the thread and adding a little tag to point out my painkillers!!

And here's my little mountain of pens used!!!
and yup!! they are sitting on my rather starting to look ever so wrinkly paged art/smashing journal !!!!!
I am entering this page into a couple of challenges too...
Bunny Zoes - Ribbon or Twine - I hope you can see my twine around the journalling part and tablets xx
Anything Goes- Anything Goes challenge !! theres certainly a bit of anything goes on this page!!
Thank you so much for popping in on me! off to watch Lord of the Rings with Mo now.
huge hugs Lou xxx

Spring LOTV wedding anniversary!!

Hello again Peeps!!

We had an awesome day of family togetherness today and it was fabulous. Mo went to bed super happy and that feeling is magic when you are an owner of little peeps!
This morning we took Holly out for a walk so we could deliver this card to one of my gorgeous friends from work who lives in our village. It is her first wedding anniversary tomorrow and I just had to use this little LOTV stamp because as soon as the nice weather started a couple of weeks ago Sarah and Jack got busy on sorting out their garden and putting up a little summerhouse too!!

This stamp was just perfect for the glorious spring/summer weather we were having and its all romantical for an annivesary with the little  couple working together on the little heart tree :)
her little dress is coloured red because sarah has one that is red with white spots that she lurves and some red shoes that are her fav!!! yey!!! I try to stick to around 3 main colours when I am colouring ( though judging by less than little pile of pens below I am not sure how well I managed that today!!!)

Here's a better piccy of the little sweethearts!!!
I nestied out a little circle window and popped it up on foam so that the little stamped circle was set back into the window. I absolutely love my new big shot for helping me to do this, I think it is definitely my new favourite tool! I am so pleased I got it!!!

I also stamped my LOTV circular special day  stamp and added in the date for their first anniversary. I think your first anniversary is so special as that first year just flies by, I think its 'paper' for the gift too so its a good job I made a card!!! lol!!

Oh and off course a Lord Timmie tattered florals flower was extremely needed on this card!! :) (...mmmm I don't think there is really ever a time when Lord timmie is not required in some way on one of my cards....)!!! and a sizzix swooshy thing behind the special day stamp.
Here's another piccy from a different angle so you can see my Lord Timmie flower better :)
And I added a little heart button too, I love that button! it came in my do crafts bouffle button bag and its too cute!! the centre of the flower came from the same bag too. It has all sorts of gorgeous buttons in.

The papers are the nitwits papers called Crab Apple Too  that Fleury made me buy....:)

Here's my not so small  'promarker pens used' in an elastic band piccy !!! I do love this idea!!!
Challenges I am entering with this card are...
Passion for promarkers-weather theme.. sunny spring days for gardening are the best :)
Simon says- use your favourite tool definitely my big shot at the moment!
Papertake weekly- Anything goes love an anything goes week!!

Tomorrow we have another kinda lazy day planned, though we do need to pop and get some new toy storage for the garden as Mo's little toy shed has broken and his toys are getting wet. He loves being out in the garden so we are going to look for some kinda storage bench he can sit on too.

Hope you had a great day everyone and thank you so much for popping in on me

Happy Easter to all xxxx

Good Morning Peeps!

I have so very much to be thankful for this easter. I have an awesome husband and son, I have an awesome family and friends.

I am very blessed to have a son who loves doing anything to do with animals/natural play. I love that about him. I love that I have a garden full of huge tree branches he has dragged home to make dens and play with his little plastic soldiers on, I love that he rescued an old tyre too and I giggled so much as he and daddy rolled it home for half a mile down the field path!! I love that he came home from Christopher's with a pocketful of sheep wool that is treasure because some is purple ( ...from the marking spray!)

I am sending my love to you all today with this little piccy of Mo feeding lambrini the lamb her milk! He had the biggest grin on his face all the way through, he really loved feeding that lamb!
We had such a lovely time with my god father yesterday looking at all the little lambs and sheep and Mo loved it. He was a little nervous to feed the horses but so very happy about feeding one lamb and getting to hold another one ( ..which we didn't get a piccy of as daddy had to get the lamb when 2 cheeky mummy sheep escaped from one pen and the baby lamb from another!! Mo LOVED that!!!)

Mo's favourite lamb of all was this cheeky little one that Scott spotted tucked up quite happily in a basket in one of the stables!! When Mo saw it he loved it and this little lamby was the last thing on his mind as he fell asleep. He said to me as he was dropping off to sleep...

“mumma please tell Krista about the face thingy so Philly can see it tonight because its his daytime when its my sleepytime, I think Philly will like the lamby in a basket one best”

the 'face thingy' is my facebook!! but this cute little lamb was way too cute not to share with all of you guys too!!!
I love having a hubby who takes fabby pictures for our little man to remember things he has done and I am just so blessed that I can enjoy all of these beautiful journeys with my family.

On that note, if you all have a little time today, please could you pop in in Adie's blog. Adie  is one of our parents from the nursery where I work. His gorgeous daughter has since left our nursery to go to big girl school but Adie began a battle with MND at the same time and his blog is a huge inspiration to me and how they are all coping with the changes is awesome. Please pop in and wish him happy easter for me because I know he would love to know you have peeked in on him.

Have an awesome easter everyone, I am off to set out an egg hunt for Mo now...we will be doing this all day because he loves it!! we put clues in plastic eggs, one clue leads to the next and his giggles at finding them are so amazing we don't mind how many times we do it!! choccies will be nibbled and we will all be together having fun, what could be better?!

Huge chocolatey hugs Lou xxxxx

Isn't she the cutest with her little toadstool?!!! I teamed her up really simply with some nitwits papers called Crab Apple Too (...my gorgeous friend Fleury made me buy them....;)  )

I merged her onto them and then coloured her up and added a penny black sentiment stamp to the bottom. I love the way the papers and the image go together on this one, its just so cute.

Today we are off to bottle feed a lamb at my godfathers house and Mo can't wait!! we were trying to keep it a secret as last time we planned to go I got a tummy bug and he was so sad we couldn't go but the little monkey worked out we were going when he asked what we were doing tomorrow as he went to bed last night!! but it will be a fabulous day all the same!! I even have one named after me this year so I am quite excited to go too :)
I will try and get some piccies to share with you all!!!

A couple of Canaries!!!!

Image- Sports Guy from Krista Smith's Saturated Canary Digi's.
Hello Peeps!!

So this morning we had a big PJ morning!! it was awesome!! Mo played basketball in his PJ's and coat and I crafted, super duper start to the day!!! we popped out to do some food shopping and then had a great play at the park so all in all its been a really GOOD FRIDAY!!!

Last night I made Little Mo's easter card from me and Scott. He is super into his new basketball hoop at the moment and he is getting quite good at it too!! whenever he gets a basket he runs into the house to find us to give him a High 5!! its too cute!! when he has a good run all you here is giggles and "high 5 mamma!!" as he comes running towards me, I love it!! I knew that little sports guy image would be just perfect for Mo!!
I coloured his little strip up in Mo's favourite colours, blue and brown, and gave him Mo coloured hair and eyes.
The basketball is just an orange circle that I drew some lines on with a black promarker and then ran through my big shot with my tiny bubbles embossing folder.

And then this morning I had some crafty time and made this card below with the special digi Krista drew for Tiets Club. She is just sooooo dreamy!! I love her. I love the way she is just sitting and letting time flow by.

The papers are MME, the stamps in the corner are my lurvely new LOTV grunge corners and the flowers are Tim Holtz tattered florals. The promarker colours I used on this one are.....
he he he he!! see I keep seeing people do this on their blogs and think to myself "oooh thats an awesome idea!!" so this morning I just kept an elastic band by me side and every pen I used I popped into the elastic band, then took a piccy of them before I cleared away!!!.......didn't think about doing it last night for Mo's card though...:) but I will definitely be doing it from now on.

Right! tea is beeping away in the oven now so I had better go serve up my 2 hungry guys!!
roast chicken, yummo :)

Thank you for popping in on me
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Release Day 4.....Squeeeeee!!! :)

Morning Peeps!!!
Its release day 4 over of the Tiddly Inks celebrations and oooooooh I think you are going to love Christy's new outdoorsy Wryn!!! (....I know for a fact I have a very happy little Mo as he asked Christy for a Wryn picking up sticks and Wryn with a fox when she first started doing Wryn's so you should of seen his little face when I printed this one out!!)

The Tiddly Inkers have been busy making some gorgeous samples for you to peek at too so don't forget to pop on over to Christy's blog where you can find Larissa's frame too, its awesome!!

And Christy even doodled her up the most gorgeous tent to go keep warm in!!!

Mo and I went little stick collecting for a couple of projects I wanted to make with Wryn pick up sticks!! (..well, actually I came home with a handful of sticks and Mo came home dragging some huge branches that had been trimmed off the trees.........) ahhhh the joys of having little boys and a field with trees right next to your house.... :)  :)

I feel like I have been saying it all week but ooooooooooh I so love this Wryn!!!!! I used some of my stroke only papers and my distressed stripes embossing folder to make my card look nice and natural. The bundle of sticks is all stuck together with some hot glue before being tied on with some twine and I used the 'I love you' sentiment for the front, then inside it has the 'Lets stick together' sentiment, perfect!!!

So thats me for today!! Its good friday and Mo has planned us a PJ Day!! wohooooo!! he has the best ideas ;)

Have a great day everyone and don't forget to pop over to Christy's blog for freebies and fun!!!

Firstly I want to thank you all for your lovely comments on my little heart frame Christy digi'd up yesterday,it means such a lot to me as I can't draw for toffee so it was lovely to know ya'll liked it.

Now for the exciting stuff!! :) we are on day 2 of Christy's fabulous new images for the Tiddly Inks 2 year celebrations! if you missed the first day please pop back here to Christy's blog to see whats going to be happening over the next week!! there are freebies, prizes and oodles of fun goings ons!!! :) Day 2 and some more fabby freebies can be found here

So, as you can see from my card up there ^ :) there is another new Wryn!!!  Christy's offering of complete gorgeousness today is .......
Wryn - Happy Heart                   and                          her Happy Day background

Well, ya'll know me and my Wryn addiction by now so you can all imagine how much I whooped at this little cutie!!! squeeeeee!! I love her!!!...

My first card uses papers from Funky Hand's Steam Funk download and I love those papers. I coloured her up a bit mono to match the papers and added a little SU sentiment cut out with a circle punch. I had a bit of burlap left from last weeks scrap night with Hayley so I made a cute little border with it.

I loved this Wryn so much I had to play with her and the little scene too...
I was super cool and hip with the sentiment on this one too as I used some 'text speak'!!!
The HB2U is cut with my Tim Holtz chip block die and means happy Birthday to you! Love it!! the papers on this one are from my new leaf pad.

I hope you all have fabulous days planned. I am going to enjoy my last day of Aunty Duty before the easter weekend and then tonight I have some crafty goodness planned!!

Have a great day everyone!!  and thankyou for popping in on me today xxx

Tiddly Inks Frame the Moment anniversary-Release Day 1 !!!

Morning peeps!
Oh I cannot tell you how excited I am about todays post!! I am on the edge of my seat typing because I keep smiling and fidgeting with excitement!!!

Today kicks off the 2 year anniversary 'Frame The Moment' celebrations from Christy. There are awesome creations from the Tiddly Inkers and even more awesome new images from Christy :) So don't forget to go over to Christy's blog for more details!!

So, super exciting new releases first........
Wryn - Fairy Wishes                             and...      Wryn - Picture Perfect

squeeeeeeeeee!! aren't they just adorable!!!!

Now the make at the top uses Wryn- Fairy Wishes.....and my heart frame !!  :)
(..yup...somehow a doodled frame inspired by some of Christy's little roses was magically turned into a heart frame for you guys by christy...there are no end to her powers as I cannot draw for toffee!!!!! )
And here it is for you to all download :) all you need to do is click on it, then right click and save.
I hope you enjoy it because I am still pinching myself as to how cute it came out on my birthday card for my niece!! I merged Wryn Fairy Wishes onto it and then cut it all out, mounted it onto a piece of cardstock from my DCWV nannas nursery boy stack on foam pads and added LilyBoo's name to it using my tim Holtz chip block alphabet, its so very sweet, I know LilyBoo will love it.

My second card share for today is just the super cute little fairy all on her own!!
I went back to my stroke only New Leaf  paper pad for this one! I knew they would be perfick for this little cutie. I cut around her with my deckled rectangle nestie, leaving out her little wand when I popped it through my big shot so it was popping over the edge of the rectangle and added some fibres to the back of it with some glossy accents.I inked all the edges of the layers on this card, I really love the effect it gives.

I coloured her up to match my papers and then added glossy accents to her roses and blue glimmer chalk to her little wings . A little lace and then a Tim Holtz vintage lace border over the top just finished her off nicely. The stamped sentiment is LOTV.

So, thats me for today! Please enjoy my little frame!! and thank you so much for popping in on me :)

Jubilee Year Inspired Baby book :)

promarkers-
blush, sunkissed pink and coral- skin
pastel blue, denim blue and midnight blue-hat
lipstick, berry red and crimson-romper suit

Morning Peeps!!!

Its Friday morning and I can't wait for the weekend to begin because Little Mo breaks up from school toady and the easter holidays start! Next week I have Mo, Boo and Jake and I can't wait, it seems like so long since we all had some holiday fun and I love Aunty Duty having my niece and nephew here :)

So onto today's little share!! one of my lovely friends at work is having a little boy in June and asked me if I could make her a little book for her to start recording some memories in.

Then I extracted a little more info on what she wanted from Gabby :) and she said she fancied a union jack kinda theme with red, white and blue pages. I was rather excited about this idea and knew right away which little stamp I wanted to use! Baby blanket from LOTV is one of my oldie but goodie stamps and one of my first ever LOTV buys!! just look how super cute he is!!!! :)
I paper pieced my little baby blanket up a bit too. I stamped him on a scrap of the blue to get his blanket and then printed out a googled union jack flag for his hat! Love it!! I just stamped on the flag and cut it out.

I knew exactly what I wanted to do and hit my Funky Hand Craft the Year Away papercraft factory for my papers ( this way I have an endless supply of the same papers and if Gabby ever needs a few more pages I can click and print them right away :) yey!!! )
I made some union jack bunting and then my Tim Holtz chip block alphabet to add the word 'BABY'. I used my SU pennants punch to make them and I have to admit, I love it!! its too cute!! I added some thread and tied little knots to each top corner of each pennant, then a little red button to each end and attached it with my hot glue gun.

And here's a piccy of the front of the book with its protective cover on. I cut a clear cover for it from some clear acetate. One for the front and one for the back too just to protect it a bit. I also stamped a little baby sentiment onto a tag as a little extra pressie from me :) I love this sentiment. The light kept bouncing back off it a bit but it gives you an idea of the cover to protect it anyway :)
The cover bases are made with a thin chipboard my friend Shirley sent me from america a while ago, its fantastic stuff! it was just going to be thrown away so I am so pleased Shirley rescued it!!!

The challenges I am entering with this jubilee baby book are .....

Right, off to get myself ready for work and hope for a quick day :) :)
Thank you for popping in on me
