Mr Fix It...

Afternoon Peeps!!!
I hope you are all having a fabulous sunday. I have had a wonderful day so far. I baked flapjack and some mint crisp, had a wonderful long walk along the viking way with Mo, Scott and Holly, came home and cooked homemade scone base pizza for lunch, made 2 cards and finished off a tag guest book for a christening.
Phew!!
So this is one of the cards I made and ooooooh it was so much fun...is it wrong to crush on an image?!!! he he he he!!!!!!
Mo is just so good at drawing those men!! I love them!!!
I decided on lots of yummy layers of nitwits papers. I have had this set for a couple of years now and use it tonnes, its especially needed around this time of year too with fathers day creeping up!!! this card however is a birthday one for my friend to give to her fiancé. I love the heart too, that comes with the Lil bits add on pack you can get for the some assembly required, its called Lil bits- some assembly required. The sentiment on it is just so lovely.
I used some gorgeous screw brads that I have had in my stash for years too, they are very gorgeous but I am running out of them now....mmmm...need to look for some more of those!!!
Scott got me an awesome new programme for playing around with my photo's of my creations, its called Adobe Lightroom and he has been giving me some little tutorials on it over the past few nights (mmm...by tutorials I mean he says a lot of big words and slides lots of slidery things around on a screen with his mouse and I am sitting there , I go ooooh and ahhhh and hope I am saying yes in the right places and then hey presto..out pops a yummo piccy!!!!) which is fab as my skills of photo taking are somewhat pants!!!! I am going to enjoy learning how to use it though because the wise one says...if i don't try it myself I will never learn!!! (....I am still hopeful though that if I look confused enough he will do it for me ......!!)
And here is a pile of pens I used.
So I have more stuff to be getting on with now...there might be a yummilicious new Tiddly Inks image on my desk waiting for me right now....but ya'll will have to wait and see I guess!!! he he he he!!
Thank you for popping in on me!!

Sisters....

Image- Sisters from Tiddly Inks.
Evening Peeps!!
I had a few minutes to spare tonight and I was desperate to share Christy's new image, Sisters, with you so I decided to get my Lord Tim vintage tag die out and make a tag with them on.

The quote is one I saved on my computer over 3 years ago now when I was making a card for a lady who was the big sis to 2 smaller sisters and one was turning 40 so she wanted a card to show their differing ages...man this image would of been perfect then but instead I had just gotten my cricut so there were 3 varying sized paper dolls girls splodged onto it ( it was in the very first cricut Lou days and oh boy I so wish I had a picture of it because it was pants!!!!!!) anywho, enough of my early cricutting and cardmaking days trauma!!!! the quite is here if you want to use it,it goes...

"For when three sisters love each other with such sincere affection, the one does not experience sorrow, pain, or affliction of any kind, but the other's heart wishes to relieve, and vibrates in tenderness... like a well-organized musical instrument."

Author: Elizabeth Shaw

These 3 cuties, modeled on Christy and her sisters..... are just fabulous and I adore them.
I printed them out onto my yummy colouring cardstock and then ran them through my big shot with my vintage tag die. Then I carefully cut around them with my craft knife and added an old book page behind them and a teeny bit of distress ink.....:)
I also added a little bit of tim holtz border strip, some ribbon, lace and string and a big epoxy button in red to match my big sister chick!!
I wanted them all to look so different because my sisters and I are all chalk and cheese but we love each other soooo much.

Right then, its off to bed for me as hubby has fallen asleep on the settee!!!
thank you for popping in on late night Lou wafflies and creating!!

Never too old for cupcake !

 Morning Peeps!!
its a quick flying visit from little ole me this morning as I am just off on my way to work!! but I had to share my first inking and cardy make with my gorgeous lotv 'Never too old for cupcake' stamp, she is sooo adorable.
I coloured her up with this yummy stash of colours.....
So onto my favourite craft tool for the Lili's little fairies challenge...mmm that was a tough one as I have so many favourites from my promarkers right up to my big shot, but my very favourite tool just has to be my ball embosser! and the passion for promarkers 'special birthday' challenge ( thank you for reminding me coops xxxxxx).

Why that? do you ask!! well, it stops my homemade flowers from looking terribly flat and boring and brings them to life and I even use it to pumf out faces and bodies on my other stamps, it just makes them look a bit more fun. So it may be a kinda silent tool but I bet even you guys will be surprised by how much you use that embosser!!!

My papers on this card are nitwits, Crab Apple Too.

Right, need to scoot now!! thank you so much for popping in on me today!!

Saturated Canary Challenge 17- May Flowers

Papers- Steam Funk from Funky Hand

Afternoon Peeps!!
Its time for a fabby new challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog today and it is an absolutely gorgeous one!!!! its May, and every little bulb is starting to pop out in glorious colour so this week we want to see .....
Flowers.

Now how much fun is that???!!! I know ya'll love flowers!!!!

This gorgeous girl I have used will be available in early June, but she is just way too gorgeous not to use!! I am very lucky because I subscribe to the awesome Designed To Color Magazine. Though you can't get her now, please don't miss out on the mag, and don't worry too much about not getting this gorgeous girl because Krista said she might release her in early June.

I have linked you into the latest issue and oooh man, you so do not want to miss subscribing to it because it really is awesome. Huge huge hugs go to Carisa and her awesome troop of gorgeous peeps for getting it made and out there for us all to drool over!! The Designed To Colour blog is here too so you don't miss anything.

I just had to make myself some daisies. I LOVE daisies, they are just so cute and they just make me smile whenever I see them. For this card I made them using my Tim Holtz mini tattered florals die. I love that die!! I layered them up a bit and added a little bit of ink to the edges to give them some umpf!! I found a little flower button in my stash too so I just had to use that! I tore the edge of my paper and curled it round so you can see the polka dot paper underneath and the sewed my button on with a bit of twine.

Now, I know I always go on and on about this Steam Funk download but hopefully from this card you might be able to see why!!! Written all over it are real, proper crafty peeps definitions, I carefully punched out the corners on my image mat to say 'skill' on the bottom left one and 'crafty' on the top right. I added a 'create' definition sticker from my stash too.

Here's a bit of a close up of the image. You can just about see the sparklies and the glaze pen dots around her on this one but she really does look awesome IRL.

I  distress inked all around the edges of my image before adding the sparklies and glaze and I love how it came out. Here's my pile of pens!!
I even coloured  up her pens to look like my promarkers!!!

So, pop on over to the Saturated Canary Challenge blog and feast your eyes on my awesome teamies creations and then get stuck in..Just remember to use a Saturated Canary Image or a Simply Sassy stamp.

Off to work for me today and I have to say I am feeling sluggish today, its that icky time of the month and I actually just really fancy climbing back under my duvet for the day so cuppa, tablets and heat pad and I should make it to 5:30pm!!!!

Thankyou so much for popping in on me, it always fills me with so much happiness to know you have wombled in on me.
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Tiddly Inks Challenge 86- Girly or Mothers Day!!

Image- Dandylion Pixie from Tiddly Inks.
Morning Peeps!!!
wohooooo! its Tiddly Tuesday so its time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and this week its all about the Mummy's out there...or a good old girly card!!
Mothers Day has been and gone here in the UK but I went with a couple of mum creations as going from my experience with my own mum, there are always time throughout the year when you just want to thank your mum for being mum again or just let her know how special she is.

And it wouldn't be Tiddly Tuesday without a yummy new release from our gorgeous Christy and I fell in love with this weeks new one instantly, she is just gorgeous. More about her in a min!!!

I used Dandylion Pixie for my card. She is just so sweet. I teamed her up with my fav HOTP papers and glittered up her dandylion. Those dots around her are all blingy and pretty in the light. Lace, twine a tag and a heart, a bit of inking and a squidge of pearly gem and she was done!! too cute!!
And now....squeeee...onto the new release image!!!!!! so do you want to see her.....
isn't she awesome!!!
...and here's what I used her for!! I just had to use her for a SMASH page in my beautiful precious pink (...yup...my SMASH book has a name!!) as I was in a SMASH-ing mood and she fitted right in with what I had planned!! yey for Christy!! I was going to use tiny dancer but Be bold, Be You was just such an awesome chick and her name was just right for the journalling I had printed out too!!! LOVE IT!!!

Here's a close up of her...I am sooo in love!! I merged her onto Ty's Splatter paper...(which might  add is a complete bargain at the minute!!!) and then coloured her up and added some sparklies. I so want to be this little chick!!! :)
..and before I go I just wantto make sure you all saw melissa birthday bear
omgosh she is cuuute!! I used her to make a big juicy tag with my Tim Holtz dies.
so thats me for Tiddly Tuesday guys!! lol!!! I hope you liked my little makes!!

So, Hop on over to the challenge blog and see what my tiddly inking teamies have been up to and super super exciting news!!!!  Give a warm welcome to AlyceVicky and Emmy who will be tiddlying with us!!!

Have a great day everyone and thankyou for popping in on me!!
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Sugary Sunday....

Morning Peeps!!
wohooooo! its bank holiday here in the UK so I get an extra day with the gorgeous men in my life, which is my best kinda day really!!

Over on the Sugar Nellies facebook group, Fiona set us a gorgeous colour challenge for the sugary sunday, and oooh the piccy of colours was so gorgeous I just had to jump straight on it!! he he he!!
Now I am super lucky because I have the Papercraft Factory cd roms from Funky Hand and they have every colour under the sun on them so it was super easy to find the colours I needed! yey for Anice! I love the sort of lineny effect on these papers.

I got out my Vintage Boutique simply sassy stamp for this one ( I have adopted this stamp and it is so much loved thankyou mwah, mwah xxxxx) and stamped her on some white cardstock and the scraps of my cardbase too because I wanted to paper piece her up to keep in with the colours of the challenge. I only needed to shade the dress a little to give its some umpf!! and her hair..which is vanilla, mustard and caramel and her face which is blush, sunkissed pink and coral.

Then for the fun part completely inspired by the lovely Pops who always uses the most gorgeous butterflies on her card. I went for a big fluttering mass of butterflies and I have to say I am loving it (...However if you saw me even in the vicinity of a real butterfly you would wet yourself laughing as I just don't do them...AT ALL!!! I haven't done them since I was 8 and a huge one landed on my forehead at a butterfly park and I wasn't allowed to move until the guide took it off...much to the amusement of my brother and sister but since then I have been petrified of butterflies and moths!!!!!!) Think quiet screaming and running faster than wind and you have what happens to me when there's a butterfly or moth to near me!!!

Any whoo, I just kinda plonked them on in a flutter with some glue and added a bit of twine to my stamped mat to finish it all off. The little corners are my EK Success punch that my lovely friend Lou MADE me buy........;) :) but I have to admit it is right up there with my most used punches, its fab for just adding a bit of something.
I am sending this little card off to a challenge too....
Cupcake Craft Challenges..oooh la la!!

So its gorgeous here this morning and we are heading off to B&Q to get Little Mo some guttering to make a wall garden, will show you piccies when we are done!!! we got rained off from doing it last weekend so he is really excited now!!! ( ..you know...the "is the store open yet mummy?"..."is it open yet?"..."will it be open now?" ...type excited!! I will be pleased when it is open........!!) and then a bit of a vegging out day, LURVELY!!!

Thank you for popping in on me

Getting Sentimental for Get Funky!!

Morning Peeps!!
Its time for me to share with you my little Funky Hand DT make for our Deb's 'Get Sentimental' challenge. I love sentiments so this was a fun challenge to do.

I was in a makey kinda mood so you get 3 makes from me today!!  I went for one card and then made some tissue covers a la my gorgeous friend Catherine's tutorial, Thank you Catherine, Mwah xxxx
This one at the top uses the awesome Steam Funk download. It is one of my absolute fav's and is completely yummilicious for all sorts of things because it is covered in little crafty sentiments and definitions when you get reading it!  and I really didn't need to do too much other than add some lace, cute little butterflies with flower stamen and bead bodies (..told you I was in a makey mood !!!) and a quick sentiment made using the Impact Label font that is on all the papercraft factory cd's..I love that too!! :)

So my card!!! I used the April Funky Freebie and the Happy Happy birthday papercraft factory for it and I love how it came out!! the sentiment for this card is also on the freebie.
Now these little covers are completely addictive and sooo much fun. I love making them and they are absolutely perfect for sentiments too. And they are so much fun to make with the Papers from Funky Hand too!! I love them!!

Next up is a little more of a sympathy one. I used the I do wordbook for this one as it has this really gorgeous quilted 3D looking paper on it that I just adore. It looks so comfy!!!
I nestified the sentiment and then added just a few teeny flowers to the top.
OOOOOOOOHHHHH!! and while I am here don't forget about the Bank Holiday Sale that is on over in the Funky Hand shop!!! there's nothing like a long weekend and discount shopping :) :) :)
And please remember to use at least 1 funky Hand product on your makes for the challenge, thankyou!!!

Off to get a cuppa now!!! Have a great sunday peeps!! and thank you for popping in on me!!
huge hugs Lou xxxx
