Saturated Canary challenge 21- Bling it out!!!!

Gingham yellow from Craft the Year Away
Afternoon Peeps!!
Its that time of the week again when the canaries over on the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog set you into another awesome challenge (..squee! I have loved the last 3 saturated canary challenges but this one...oooooh!!!) and this week we want you to...
Bling It Out!!!!
super yey!! what crafty peep does not love a bit of bling and sparkly???!!!!! I went for bling in the form of yummy glitter!! I used my copic spicas on her bikini and my glitter for some sea. The beach ball and bucket are made with a pearlescent red card too so bling, bling, bling baby!!!! :)

The card itself is a biggy, its a 7.5x7.5 inch one and its pearlescent too, hard to see in piccy :( I made the cloud background on it with my faded jeans distress ink.

The Funky Hand papers are just perfect because they remind me of deck chair fabric and each towels!!! and the yellow is my hope that the UK will see a summer soon.......he he he!!!

The little bucket and beach ball are a Hello Kitty sizzix die. I tied some twine around the bucket handle. The sentiment is pooter printed onto some MFT flag stix die cuts. I LOVE my flag stix!! they are such a yummy die for just making something look real neat! I wrapped a bit of twine around the sentiment and added a little starfish charm to it too.The doily was sitting on my crafty desk (...yeah..all who know me well will know everything sits on my craft desk....!!!)so it kinda got splonked on there too!!!

The funniest thing about making this card was of course my little Mo. He sat happily watching me colour in on sunday and then he said "mamma, do you know that girl must have steel swimmy bottoms on because that shark is going to bite her butt"....oh my did I giggle!!!!!

So, Please pop on over to the Saturated Canary Challenge blog and see what my awesomely talented teamies have made to inspire you along your way!!!
Thank you so much for popping in on me!

Afternoon Peeps!!
I am having a lovely day today. My grandad is here watching the airshow with Scott and Mo (...well, Mo keeps floating back home for munchies!!!) so I have had some crafty time   to do a couple of pages in the scrapbook I have been doing for one of my friends baby, Riley.
Leah had popped a little piccy of Riley smiling(..ok so you probably think its wind because he was only 2 weeks oldish when the piccy was taken but I think its a smile!!!)
so I based these 2 pages around the smile.
The verse is from my fiskars baby stamp set and the magnolia Edwin is one of my absolute favs. Here's the first page with the tag on....
and here's the second page with Riley on...awwwwwwwwww he's sooo cute!!!
And here's how they go together......
There must be some awesome trick to taking photo's of scrapbook pages....unfortunately I don't know it because they always look soooo pants!!!!!
Riley and his gorjuss smile are popping in for a few challenges....

A bit of a different christening card..

 Morning Peeps!!!

How are we all today? good I hope. We are just having a vegging out weekend this weekend because it is RAF Waddington's annual airshow...and we pretty much couldn't get anywhere if we wanted too!! romfl!!!! the traffic is buzzing with huge tailbacks as I look out of my bedroom window!!! but the show is so fantastic. We have been watching the planes arrive all week and they are some very exciting ones...along with some very noisy ones!! the black eagles have been the noisiest so far!!!

So onto my share for today!!! I made this christening card a few weeks ago for my friends gorgeous little girl,Ella. I had been making the traditional kinda cards for everyone else to give her so decided on something a little different from us.
I love christenings because they are just so special. I used my new memory box wreath die and butterfly border die for it, I knew exactly what I wanted to make when I bought the dies from the craft show in the morning before Ella's christening in the afternoon. I love it when a card gets you like that and comes out just as you wanted it too.
I cut the wreath in both white linen paper and my crab apple too nitwits paper ( twice for that one so I could wumpf up the wreath frame around the verse). I then put the white linen one through my printer and printed out the verse and tucked it back into the nitwits paper frame and taped them together.

Then I cut out my butterfly border and added each little butterfly to the frame. My photo isn't that great of the front but I was in such a rush to leave I almost forgot to take any picture at all!! so it was a bit of a click and go! I did remember to lay it down though so you can just about make out the popped up little wings on the butterflies!!
Well, that about it for this morning!! I have some very exciting stamps to play with!! so I am going to indulge myself in those whilst Mo is pootling around. He is having a pj day today (...I was too until I spilt marmalade down my pj top and trousers from my toast...derrrr messy pup!!!)
OOOOOHHHHH!!! and super exciting for me!!! I am featured in the papercrafts Inspirations magazine!! it is out for subscribers already and due in the stores on the 4th July but here's a little piccy of my Mo Manning man card!!!! I cannot tell you how awesome I felt to be asked to share this so I am smiling from ear to ear!! its down at the bottom left of the page!!! squeeeeeeeee!!!!

Have an awesome day everyone and thank you so much for popping in on me!!!

LilyBoo Designs Cats and Dogs Pet Show release...

Morning Peeps!!
How are you all this morning? I am just getting ready for work but I wanted to share a couple of super cute card made with a couple of the digi's from Lilyboo Designs new release!!!
I don't know about you peeps but I am a complete sucker for pets, I just love them, I don't know if its because I have a fur baby myself but I do just love seeing those cards with animals on!!
The papers I used on them are Kim Macfarlane's CardMakers and they are just sooo neat and totally gorgeous, they are all done digitally, layered up with beautiful papers but the best part is that they are just printed out in a single layer so all you need to do is add your image!!!! which is great for quicker makes and for posting as the layers are flat so postage costs won't be so high. How cool is that?!!!

                                    Papers- CardMakers by Kim Macfarlane.
Well, I guess thats me for this morning. I need to go make me and Mo some pack up and get another cup of tea, its so muggy here in Lincoln today, we could do with a really good thunderstorm to clear it all up.
Have an awesome day everyone and thank you for popping in on me

Bit of a different wedding card......

Morning Peeps!!
well its a bit of a different style wedding card from little ole me today!!! I was asked if I could make a wedding card with a special vw camper van on!!!
The camper van in question is called 'suzie sunshine' and the couple who got married are having their honeymoon touring great britain in 'suzie sunshine'. Well, that was just so exciting I wanted to get as much of that as I could onto the wedding card!!!

I think I did ok!!! I found a vintage map of great britain on google which was fabulous as you could see what it was but it was kinda gentle and fuzzy too so the map doesn't scream at you if that makes sense?! I used my inkadinkadoo 'road trip' stamp set for all the camping and word sentiments and then a nifty bit of snipping to my  little LOTV wedding couple and it was done!! You can just about see the acetate heart that is embossed with love language tiny hearts embossing folder.

Right must dasheroo! Mo's little brekkie buddy is here and they want to do some 'magic maze'...which generally means mess but they love it!!! I get a huge sheet of paper out on the table and just let them go for it!!!

Thank you for popping in on me

Fetch a Sketch challenge 27...

Morning Peeps!!!
Well I am so sorry I am so late with popping in with this post today, it seems Mr blogger is not my friend at the minute as this snappy little guy was all scheduled to go for 9am this morning and here he is just floating on by ...with a little help from me at 10:45am!!! grrr!!

It's time for another sketch over on the  Fetch A Sketch challenge blog!  We are also turning One on Wednesday and have a very special post to share with you with lots of prizes so make sure you pop back then to see what we are talking about!

For this next couple of weeks our gorgeous Ruth is your hostess and here is the sketch:

Our sponsor is Bugaboo and they are offering a mahoosive $21 prize to spend at their store!! thankyou Bugaboo!!!

Remember that you can flip the sketch, rotate the sketch, resize it and make any type of project you like with it - as long as we can see the original sketch in your creation we'll be happy!

For my card I used a super cute little freebie that I got a couple of months ago, he looks so happy pootling along on his little boat!!! I coloured him up, gave him some nesti treatment and then added him to one of the Pretty Mix Cardmakers by Kim Macfarlane.  Lucky for me they worked to the sketch so perfectly and all I really needed to add was some organza ribbon, a magnolia sentiment and my little crab!!

My crabby little buddy is going in for a challenge too.....

Right thats is for me this morning!! thank you for popping in on me!
huge hugs Lou xxxx
