FAS challenge 31.....

Morning Peeps,
Its time for another Fetch A Sketch challenge and I am the hostess this fortnight and here is my sketch:
I hope you like it.Remember that you can flip the sketch, rotate the sketch, resize it and make any type of project you like with it - as long as we can see the original sketch in your creation we'll be happy!

I keep seeing all these gorgeous CAS cards with verses instead of a stamp and I was desperate to try one so this is the result. I love the way the verse pops out at you.

This week we are sponsored by the lovely Beth who is the creator of some really cute digi's over on...
Squidgi Digi

And the lucky winner of this challenge will get to choose 5 digi's from the store!

Don't forget to pop over to the Fetch A Sketch challenge blog to see what Ruth and our fabulous guest Lisa Jane have made to get you started!!

I am on aunty duty today and our gorgeous fluffy princess is at the vets again today, she doesn't feel like eating and has been sick so its a good job she was booked in for today really.

My fluffy Princess is really sick :(

Morning peeps.
We have had some really sad news. We took our gorgeous fluffy princess Holly for her normal vet check up on wednesday night. She wagged her tail as she went in and was a really good girl for the vet so the vet started off with her normal vetty checks and then the bombshell came. As she checked her anal glands she found a golf ball sized tumour on her right anal gland. She was quite shocked at the size so she got another vet to check Holly out too. She also told us the same. That it was a golf ball sized anal sac tumour and that Holly's prognosis was not looking good but that they would take some bloods to check and let us know the results in the morning. We were completely dumbstruck, she has not showed any signs of being unwell at all :(

So we came home with our waggy tailed girl and she went for her usual walk down the fields with scott whilst I got Mo settled down for bed.

At 7:25am yesterday morning as I was getting ready for work and Holly was enjoying another run in the fields with scott, the vet rang to ask how Holly was. I explained she had gone off on her usual walk and the vet seemed shocked. She went on to explain that Holly's calcium levels were so dangerously high that their testing machine could not read them and was coming back with the highest reading it could do which was very dangerous for Holly and she really should be much poorlier. She also explained that there was some damage to Holly's liver and that she would need a very risky calcium flush to try to save her and could we take her as soon as they opened at 9am to be admitted, could I ring scott and get him to bring her straight home incase she was unwell whilst walking. She also told me to prepare for the worst and Holly probably wouldn't make it through the flush.

Now I am not a strong person when it comes to my babies being ill and I have to admit I kinda lost it as I put the phone down. I was sobbing uncontrollably and it carried on all day :( I tried to ring work to let them know I would be late in but they were awesome and told me not to go in. I am so thankful for that because I just would not of been any good to the gorgeous little peeps I look after ...or any of the staff..yesterday.

We dropped Holly off giving her huge huge loves incase we didn't get to see her again and then a day of phonecalls and conversations with the vet began. Our vet was just amazing, she is such a kind and caring lady and I am thankful for that too. She understood what a shock to us it was and explained things so well. She couldn't believe how happy and waggy taily Holly was so she tested Holly's bloods again and again they returned dangerously high. By the afternoon Holly was really missing us and getting a bit sad so the vet decided against doing the flush first as it had a very high risk of killing her and decided to sedate Holly to calm her down and give her an ultrasound instead.

The ultrasound came back showing not only the tumour in the sac but also a lot more in all the lymph nodes of her tummy and around her aorta :( the biggest ones are the anal sac one and the one squishing her aorta. Due to this the vet decided on no flushing and no surgeries as Holly just won't make it and explained to me she has roughly 1-2 months left to live so it would be nicer to bring her home and we went to fetch her right away.
The vet said she was still so surprised how happy Holly was and that it was such a nice way to be when she is so desperately ill so 1-2 months feeling like that will be a zillion times better than invasive treatments that will not work. She sent us home with drugs to help slowly flush the calcium out by making her pee an awful lot and some steroids. She explained to us that Holly will either become so sleepy from the tumour on her aorta or not be able to poop due to the anal sac one blocking her bottom and that is the time we will know to let her go. She said quality is better than quantity and to enjoy her for the time we have left.

I think she Holly is like me. She is powered by love and so we are going to dote on her as we always have done, give her her lovely walks until she is too sick to take them. We are all so lost and sad but trying not to let Holly see that. We are going to enjoy every last minute she has and we have made a list of all her favourite walks that we are going to try and get her on before she gets too ill, her favourites are the ones where she can run and paddle...and swim!! in water. we will surround her in love until it is time for her to go over the rainbow bridge and the keep her in our hearts until we meet her again.

Sorry for such a long post but its easier to type than talk at the moment as I am still very tearful.
thank you for popping in on me and reading about my beautiful girl

Saturated Canary challenge 24- Photo inspiration.

Image- Butterfly Princess from Saturated Canary.
Hello Peeps!
Its time for a new challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog and this week its all about photo inspiration, so here's the photo in question.......
isn't it beautiful?
I chose to go with the colours of the flowers and the bike. I made some teeny butterflies to match the blue of the bike and float around my card.
The flowers were actually a bright pink but I wanted them to match her dress so I dabbed my antique pink promarker pen over them and they came out so pretty.
I added a teeny little bike charm tied into my lace bow and its so cute!

Thank you for popping in on me today

Free craft backing papers to download for card making and scrapbooking
This paper has a gorgeously distressed effect when you print it out, I love it!! Thank you Anice xxxx

So onto my make for this month!!! I used the wordbook generator on the Wishes and Kisses Papercraft factory cd rom to make myself a Beach wordbook. Now, check out the letters!! have you noticed the lowercase ones??!! I absolutely love the new Lowercase alphabet on the Wishes and Kisses edition, I love being able to use both upper and lowercase on one project!!

I printed out some of the journalling shapes from the templates and made a few giftcards smaller, also from the templates, for tucking little photographs or beachy keepsakes in......left to mo the pockets would be full of sand and teeny shells from the beach!!!

I made some little photo mounts using a couple of different coloured sheets from the same colourway and set them throughout the pages...
I printed out a piece of blue paper from the same colourway ( this is the You're Engaged colourway) and ripped it up to make some cool waves along the bottom of my letters.
I covered a couple of die cut gift tags with a pocket with my scraps left over from the little photo frames I made, added a bit of twine and stuck them in.
A little bit of bunting for the last page and a sunshine cutout from the scraps of the left handside page with some glossy accents on.....
So I can't wait to see what you all join in with this month and don't forget we love to see the little peeps crafting too so if they make anything with your Funky hand products don't forget to blog them and link them in over on the challenge blog too!!!

Right then, breakfast buddy and Aunty Duty for me again today!! yesterday my feet hardly touched the ground, (....though Mo and I did get a little visit in with one of my gorgeous friends just before bedtime. We had a cup of tea in her gorgeous little sunhouse and Mo crashed soon after we got back home) so I am hoping for a bit of a quieter day today!! Mum's consultant is unwell so they cancelled mum's appointment which she was so sad about so a bit of 'nannie cheering up' with my little peeps might have to happen too!!!

Thank you for popping in on me

10 of the best!

Heart shape stone Scott found me on the beach today!

 Evening Peeps!!
I have been a bit bloggy quiet for a couple of days!!! but today was our anniversary so I wanted to share a couple of bits with you!!
Scott and I have been together 10 years today! wow time goes so quickly! and for 6 of those years we have been married (...yes I was super sly and chose the anniversary of us getting together as my wedding day too :)

We all love the beach so thats what we chose to do today! we made a picnic, bundled us all in the car and had an awesome day on the beach!! we got there at 8am and stayed until 1:30pm when mo had started to look totally sleepy from all the playing and running around and Holly was just vegging out in the sand in the shade of the promenade wall.

And that stone above!! oh my!! that was just the most magical moment ever!! I am a terrible beach comber!! I love driftwood, smooth pebbles and teensy shells so I always take a little bag and have a good rummage in the sand, especially in the shore line so whilst mo was busy digging a huge bed for himself with daddy (...with the huge spade he found...his mamma taught him well!!!) I plodded off for a rummage. A little while later Scott walked over to me and said "Baby I found you a stone" and passed me this gorgeous heart shaped stone!! I couldn't believe it!! how special is that? so I feel so super lucky and blessed today.

And then when we got home Little mo pootled off to his bedroom. He came down a few minutes later and asked daddy to print off a picture of mummy and daddy together. we wondered what it was for!! and then a little while later he came down with this.....

 awwwww!!!
as you can imagine this is our bestest anniversary card!! I love that he does little things like this!!!

So all in all I am the luckiest wife and mamma today and I am so thankful for Scott for giving me a beautiful and treasured family. They mean so very much to me and I am so very blessed.
Thank you for popping in on me and sharing my day
huge hugs Lou xxxxx

Cuddly Bear....:)

Kim's digi papers- Pretty Mix brown
Morning Peeps!!
Hope you are all having a great wednesday! its half past week already!!!
So yesterday whilst the 3 little monkeys were busy playing I sat in my crafty garage and made a bear!! I love just pootling around with these papier mache animals!! and to make it easy for me Cuddly Buddly have a tonne of papier mache art blanks just sitting in the shop for me to choose from!! :)  next of my list is the torso, it looks awesome!! I just like having a play with something a bit different|!!

So I printed out Kim's Pretty Mix Brown papers onto some of my thin letraset paper, it comes out absolutely gorgeously ( make sure you put it in your printer so that the top side of the paper as it came out of your pad gets printed on) and then ripped some strips into little squares, I love the little ripped edge that shows but you could do it with scissors and make neat squares, I am just messy ;)

I popped the pieces on all random and then gave bear a good coat with the decopatch glue afterwards to make him all shiney. The bow is made with some ribbon from my stash.

I love these little art blanks and they are just perfect for those little peeps at home for the school holidays too!!

I am on Aunty Duty again today and my hayfever is running riot today so its piriton and a cuppa for breakfast for me today!!

Thank you for popping in on me

Tiddly Inking on a tuesday!!!

Morning peeps!
how are we all today? I have walked the fluffy princess already and am just sat waiting for Mo's little breakfast buddy to arrive. Once we have dropped her off at nursery I switch to Aunty duty and we are off to fetch Jake and Boo for another day of playing.

Last night I made my first real christmas card for this year!!! go me!!! isn't he the cutest and perfect to share for a Tiddly Tuesday make!!
I printed out my papers twice so inside matches the outside and then coloured up my little Rudolph bot adding a bit of sparkly to his scarf and ear muffs.I just had to colour his little legs and arms up all christmassy too.
I wrapped a little bit of twine around the bottom and tied it in a not and then fluffed out the edges.
The little figgy pudding is included in the paper set too so I printed it out and poped it on with a foam dot to pop it out a little.
The neat thing about this card is it doesn't really need a sentiment as the paper says it all!! yey!!!! :)
Christy's release for today is so super cute and she is a little teaser of the new releases coming out next week....

Now do ya'll want a little sneak peek of the new images/ stamps coming next week???...yeah I know you do!!! so here's a teensy one......
