Get well soon....

Image- Sparkle Nurse from Saturated Canary
Morning Peeps!!
Hope you are all having a super weekend! we are having a really nice, chilling family time weekend and I am loving it.
Yesterday little Mo went next door to play with his best buddy Sophia so I had some fun playing with another of Krista's new images,Sparkle Nurse. My 2 favourite aunties are both awesome nurses so I really enjoyed playing with this one.
I made the backing paper myself in word, making sure to highlight on of the 'get well soon' in red so it stood out a little more.
I coloured her in and cut her out and then embossed one of my big tags with a sizzix folder...can't remember what its called though!! I ripped a bit of paper from my scraps box and then added the cute little sentiment that comes with her...there are 4 I think....

Little Mo is allergic to plasters so we always have some stretchy bandage and gauze in our cupboard which was perfect because I stole some to add to my card base and tags, stapled onto the big tag with kiss shapes for getting well!!!
A little bit of washi tape is always fun to stick somewhere and I love this one which is kinda clinincal looking so that got added to the tag too!!

Right, offto do some reading now. I started the Hunger Games trilogy on Monday night and I am now on the last book, Mockingjay'. I LOVE a good read and have really enjoyed these books, I can't wait for the film to come out here in the UK next week so I can watch the film!!

Thank you for popping in on me!

Hello Peeps!!!
I am popping in quick this morning as Mo wants to go into town and treat himself to "a robot bath bomb or another boy one" from Lush. Because Holly is poorly we haven't wanted to leave her to go on big days out so scott and I decided he can have the bath bomb for a treat.

So this morning, with the school terms creeeping back upon us, I am sharing Krista's gorgeous 'sisters back 2 school' image. I love love love this image, its just so cute. I coloured it up a while ago and it was just itching to get onto a card!!

And how cute is the pencil behind my little bow??!!! I made it from one of my cake pop sticks!!!

Saturated Canary new releases...squeeeee!!

Image- Washi tape kinda girl from Saturated Canary

oooooooh I am so excited!! its time for the 4 new gorgeous releases from Krista over in the Saturated canary shop!!! (..I have checked, they are all in there now...quick go buy 'em!!!!)
So huge huge apologies for my only having 2 makies done with them to show you so far, I am hoping Mr. Mojo will stay on a more permanent basis now Holly's meds are kicking in and she is wooferly happy.

The top one...up there^ :) is of course, Washi tape kinda girl and I totally love her and being a washi tape kinda girl she totally needed to be on a smash page!! her blue hair is to match mine which is now a gorgeous shade of midnight blue (.....it looks kinda black but it does shine blue!!) and ripped a few strips of my washi tape to put behind her.I added one of her super cute sentiments to a die cut heart and another one just near my 'giggle' epoxy tag. I glued my string so it looks all wiggly.

The super cutie below is Rollerskating Zombie and omgosh I love her!!! I sooo want to be her when I grow up.....:) :)

She comes with some super cute sentiments too so I chose the 'walker skater' one and then used some staples and a scrap of purple paper from my Funky Hand scraps folder that I made all distressy and added distressed spots in white with a stamp. I love my spooky ribbon from my friend clares shop! its fab stuff!!! I attached the ribbon, image and sentiment using staples and criss crossed them for fun!!

So, stop reading and get on over to the shop to buy them!! don't forget to share your makes on the Saturated Canary facebook page because we love to drool over all your gorgeous makes.

Thank you for popping back in on me again today!

Batty :)

Image- Batty from Tiddly Inks.
Morning Peeps!!
How are you all today? we are doing ok here in our little house. Holly seems quite well this morning and although she won't get better, we are still fixed on making everyday special for her so today we are planning on a nice little womble in the meadow where she loves to go.
My mojo has been very wobbly this week, one minute I have it and the next it has gone, I have spent countless minutes just staring into space on my desk whilst Mo plays but on monday I had the feeling so made you all this Batty card to peek at!!
Now when I first got hooked on Tiddly Inks it was the gothic ones that pulled me in!!! I absolutely adore them and Batty is one of my absolute favs.
I teamed her up with some MME papers. I stamped one of my clear distressing stamps across the centre of the card mat piece, I love this stamp, you can just about see the squares peeking out but it just looks fab to lift the black colour in.
I did a bit of martha punching and then added batty on top of that, then a black cheery lynn french pastry doily die and a bit of raffia. I cut my bow so it looked a bit batty-ish and added a quick bit of doodling and some teeny gems to a couple of the corners.

Right off for a wombley with my precious girl.
Thank you for popping in on me

My Grandad's 80th birthday :)

stamp-Aeroplane from Lili of the valley
Morning Peeps!!
How are you all today? I am plodding on!!! Today is my Grandad's 80th birthday  so I wanted to share the card I made for him with you all. Male relatives (......mmmm, actually male cards in general!!!) are always kinda tricky for me since I can't help but want to throw on a few sparklies and a few flowers.....lol!!! so I had to keep this one kinda simples but wanted it to be super special too because my Grandad is amazing and so very special. He loves planes so out came one of my fav LOTV boys stamps, Aeroplane.
I coloured him up using some of my fav colours  for boy cards, brown and blue.

I made the base in MTC because I wanted to have a stepped and layered base (....Lou hopes that makes sense..!!) so I welded the words I wanted onto some rectangles then merged the whole lot so its all in one piece. Before I started making my card I measured the envelope I wanted to mail it in so I knew it would fit tickety boo.

Here's a piccy of the back of the card and the first part of the verse which when its all folded up is on the 2nd fold..
And here's the inside.... please excuse my tatty boggle handwriting!! I almost forgot to take a piccy of it all folded out to share with you and then remembered I had written in it!!

I added the little 80 using my lord tim chip block die strip. I think I got male card just right on this one!!!
pens used piccy.....
such a teeny pile!!!
I am entering the I love promarkers- Transport challenge with this little guy, he's so cute with his planes.

Before I go I just wanted to say a huge mahoosive thank you to you all for all your kind words and messages about my gorgeous Holly dog. She still continues to be cheery bless her and here is a picture from our walk on sunday at the nature park. I love this picture because she looks like she is smiling!! she loved swimming around the water...so much so that we just sat on the bench and watched her and Mo play whilst scott clicked away taking lots of pictures for us to treasure when she is gone.

She had a bad day on monday and was quite poorly again but after some new tablets and a day resting on her bed she was a happy girl again. She is sleeping more but we are just so grateful she isn't showing any signs of pain yet. Isn't she just gorgeous?!!!

right, cuppa and then Aunty duty!! we already completed breakfast buddy duty and have walked Sophia to nursery with Holly before it got to warm to walk her! I am desperately trying to get back in the bloggy commenting swing too so please bear with me whilst I get sorted.

Have an awesome day everyone! thank you for popping in on me

My fluffy Princess is really sick :(

Morning peeps.
We have had some really sad news. We took our gorgeous fluffy princess Holly for her normal vet check up on wednesday night. She wagged her tail as she went in and was a really good girl for the vet so the vet started off with her normal vetty checks and then the bombshell came. As she checked her anal glands she found a golf ball sized tumour on her right anal gland. She was quite shocked at the size so she got another vet to check Holly out too. She also told us the same. That it was a golf ball sized anal sac tumour and that Holly's prognosis was not looking good but that they would take some bloods to check and let us know the results in the morning. We were completely dumbstruck, she has not showed any signs of being unwell at all :(

So we came home with our waggy tailed girl and she went for her usual walk down the fields with scott whilst I got Mo settled down for bed.

At 7:25am yesterday morning as I was getting ready for work and Holly was enjoying another run in the fields with scott, the vet rang to ask how Holly was. I explained she had gone off on her usual walk and the vet seemed shocked. She went on to explain that Holly's calcium levels were so dangerously high that their testing machine could not read them and was coming back with the highest reading it could do which was very dangerous for Holly and she really should be much poorlier. She also explained that there was some damage to Holly's liver and that she would need a very risky calcium flush to try to save her and could we take her as soon as they opened at 9am to be admitted, could I ring scott and get him to bring her straight home incase she was unwell whilst walking. She also told me to prepare for the worst and Holly probably wouldn't make it through the flush.

Now I am not a strong person when it comes to my babies being ill and I have to admit I kinda lost it as I put the phone down. I was sobbing uncontrollably and it carried on all day :( I tried to ring work to let them know I would be late in but they were awesome and told me not to go in. I am so thankful for that because I just would not of been any good to the gorgeous little peeps I look after ...or any of the staff..yesterday.

We dropped Holly off giving her huge huge loves incase we didn't get to see her again and then a day of phonecalls and conversations with the vet began. Our vet was just amazing, she is such a kind and caring lady and I am thankful for that too. She understood what a shock to us it was and explained things so well. She couldn't believe how happy and waggy taily Holly was so she tested Holly's bloods again and again they returned dangerously high. By the afternoon Holly was really missing us and getting a bit sad so the vet decided against doing the flush first as it had a very high risk of killing her and decided to sedate Holly to calm her down and give her an ultrasound instead.

The ultrasound came back showing not only the tumour in the sac but also a lot more in all the lymph nodes of her tummy and around her aorta :( the biggest ones are the anal sac one and the one squishing her aorta. Due to this the vet decided on no flushing and no surgeries as Holly just won't make it and explained to me she has roughly 1-2 months left to live so it would be nicer to bring her home and we went to fetch her right away.
The vet said she was still so surprised how happy Holly was and that it was such a nice way to be when she is so desperately ill so 1-2 months feeling like that will be a zillion times better than invasive treatments that will not work. She sent us home with drugs to help slowly flush the calcium out by making her pee an awful lot and some steroids. She explained to us that Holly will either become so sleepy from the tumour on her aorta or not be able to poop due to the anal sac one blocking her bottom and that is the time we will know to let her go. She said quality is better than quantity and to enjoy her for the time we have left.

I think she Holly is like me. She is powered by love and so we are going to dote on her as we always have done, give her her lovely walks until she is too sick to take them. We are all so lost and sad but trying not to let Holly see that. We are going to enjoy every last minute she has and we have made a list of all her favourite walks that we are going to try and get her on before she gets too ill, her favourites are the ones where she can run and paddle...and swim!! in water. we will surround her in love until it is time for her to go over the rainbow bridge and the keep her in our hearts until we meet her again.

Sorry for such a long post but its easier to type than talk at the moment as I am still very tearful.
thank you for popping in on me and reading about my beautiful girl

Saturated Canary challenge 24- Photo inspiration.

Image- Butterfly Princess from Saturated Canary.
Hello Peeps!
Its time for a new challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog and this week its all about photo inspiration, so here's the photo in question.......
isn't it beautiful?
I chose to go with the colours of the flowers and the bike. I made some teeny butterflies to match the blue of the bike and float around my card.
The flowers were actually a bright pink but I wanted them to match her dress so I dabbed my antique pink promarker pen over them and they came out so pretty.
I added a teeny little bike charm tied into my lace bow and its so cute!

Thank you for popping in on me today

The funkettes and I just want to see what you all get up to making using your Funky Hand downloads,cd's and stamps so its an....
Anything Goes Using Funky Hand challenge!!!
See, easy peesy fun this month!!! all you need to do is include something funky hand in your makes for us. As usual Anice has made a gorgeous freebie for you to use, if you click on the piccy it will take you to the place to download it....
Free craft backing papers to download for card making and scrapbooking
This paper has a gorgeously distressed effect when you print it out, I love it!! Thank you Anice xxxx

So onto my make for this month!!! I used the wordbook generator on the Wishes and Kisses Papercraft factory cd rom to make myself a Beach wordbook. Now, check out the letters!! have you noticed the lowercase ones??!! I absolutely love the new Lowercase alphabet on the Wishes and Kisses edition, I love being able to use both upper and lowercase on one project!!

I printed out some of the journalling shapes from the templates and made a few giftcards smaller, also from the templates, for tucking little photographs or beachy keepsakes in......left to mo the pockets would be full of sand and teeny shells from the beach!!!

I made some little photo mounts using a couple of different coloured sheets from the same colourway and set them throughout the pages...
I printed out a piece of blue paper from the same colourway ( this is the You're Engaged colourway) and ripped it up to make some cool waves along the bottom of my letters.
I covered a couple of die cut gift tags with a pocket with my scraps left over from the little photo frames I made, added a bit of twine and stuck them in.
A little bit of bunting for the last page and a sunshine cutout from the scraps of the left handside page with some glossy accents on.....
So I can't wait to see what you all join in with this month and don't forget we love to see the little peeps crafting too so if they make anything with your Funky hand products don't forget to blog them and link them in over on the challenge blog too!!!

Right then, breakfast buddy and Aunty Duty for me again today!! yesterday my feet hardly touched the ground, (....though Mo and I did get a little visit in with one of my gorgeous friends just before bedtime. We had a cup of tea in her gorgeous little sunhouse and Mo crashed soon after we got back home) so I am hoping for a bit of a quieter day today!! Mum's consultant is unwell so they cancelled mum's appointment which she was so sad about so a bit of 'nannie cheering up' with my little peeps might have to happen too!!!

Thank you for popping in on me
