Tiddly Inks challenge 102- Wings!!!

Morning peeps!!

Its that Tiddly Time of week again where the Tiddly Inkers get their inky thang on over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and roll out another super fun challenge for you all!! and this week our theme is so much fun! this week its....

Wings

Your creation can use any Tiddly Inks image you'd like but just make sure there are wings on your creation.  You can use a Tiddly image with wings, embellishments with wings, or even ribbons with wings!  There are so many adorable images at Tiddly Inks that fit the bill too!  We have fairies and buggsbutterflies and birds galore!  Remember to link up before midnight on February 5th with your NEW creation using a Tiddly Inks image.

ooooooh I cannot tell you how much fun I had making my card for this one!!! so first some linkies of which tiddly items I used...piccies are linked to the shoppe!!!! :)

I hadn't made a shaker card in soooo long I just had to get out one of my plastic domes and have a bit of fun.

I cut an aperture out to pop my dome through. I used a scalloped circle nestie to do that so it kinda looked like a flower around the edge of the dome. Then I popped a few flowers and beads in the dome and got to work on my stamp.

Ooooooooh I know I keep saying oooooooooh but christy's Tiddly Inks clear stamps are just the bomb! first they come in such a cute little pack with a sentiment and some coordinating bits that are super cute ( I so love the little bees and their flight path in this one!!!)

I coloured her up with my promarkers...
browns- burnt sienna, cocoa and sandstone
yellows- gold,mustard and canary
skin-coral, sunkissed pink and blush
and inked the edges with some tee dye distress ink ( my fav colour at the min and everything is edged with it!! lol!!)

Then I nestied her up and adhered her to the circle I cut to back my dome and then adhered that to the dome.

I cut a little tag using my cuttlebug tags die set and then stamped the 'Happy Bee-day' sentiment onto it and threaded a bit of string through.

I love this card, its sooooo cute!! and totally warming on a freezy day too!!! so thats it from little ole me today!! I am hoping to get out in my craft room today, yesterday was just too cold and I was a bit stressed with the weather and thoughts of driving but today  am ready for action again! fire up those promarkers!!!! (....and the heater for a good hour before I go in there!!! romfl!!!)

Don't forget to pop in on the challenge blog and see what my gorgeous teamies have made and don't forget to join in the fun you will need to use a Tiddly Inks digi or stamp!!

An oldie but a goodie!!!

Morning peeps!!
well this bloggy post is late due to the snow.....:) I tell you now, Torvill and Dean have nothing on me! My car is officially a giant ice skate and this morning I managed to almost crash the blooming thing not once but twice! by the time I got home I was a nervous wreck and a cuppa and half a bar of tesco value white chocolate was in order!  its beautiful out there but take care and keep safe when you are driving....its time like this when I am sooo pleased I moved to a village on top of a hill and Mo's gorgeous school is a few miles down the beautiful country roads......sigh!!! romfl!!!

Some of you might of seen this before but I wanted to share it for my post over on the Dies To Die For inspiration blog this morning as I feel like I have only been making cards for my DT posts recently and I wanted a bit of something different!! for those who haven't seen it yet, here's a few deets!!

I used my yummy Die-namics dies .. fish tail flags layers stax die-namics. The roses are made with my Die-namics Mini Royal Rose!! and one of the flowers on my Tim Holtz tattered florals for the leaves. I sat and hand stitched the pink and green felt together, I love stitching, its so relaxing and then I hot glued my roses together and added a little gem to the centre of each one.

I cut 'LILY' out with my Tim Holtz chip block alphabet strip die and attached that with hot glue too. I positioned the roses up at the top so that when it is in a book it won't slip down and loose the page!

and here is a piccy of what happens to your kitchen chair when your gorgeous furball princess is teething....
This only happens to my chair might I add, proving she really is mummy's princess....sigh!!! so you take her for a good walk in the snow to cheer her up and hey! who needs teething chews?!! all you need to do is.....Face Plant!!! mmmmm wooferly relief!!!
bless her!! its so hard to take a piccy on your phone in the snow but yup...her head is buried up to the middle of her back!!! and thats how she says for a minute then pops up all covered in snow!!
and here's a piccy of our gorgeous walk on our way to the field....
and on our way home...

I am avoiding any main roads on our walks until all the grit has gone due to all the reports I have been reading on animals dying from licking their paws after walking on gritted areas so please wash your precious paws when you get in if you have had a walk anywhere gritty peeps.

Right more tea needed!! go to brave that chilly craft room!!

Saturated Canary challenge 35...theme..Movies!!

Afternoon Peeps!!
Its time for another fun challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog and this week Mindy has set it for us!! Mindy chose....

Movies!- create a card/project inspired by a movie!

So this one was a bit trickier than I thought!! lol!!! but in the end I just had to use the super cool new DJ Love image and go for a contemporary twist on the film 'The Sound Of Music'

Now you can use these guys apart but I LOVE them together, I love how he looks like he is hypnotised by the super cool DJ chick!!! I tried to colour it in so that he is standing in front of her DJ desk!!
Now a small confession....I thought she was wearing a cool one sleeve top with a cuff on the sleeve but after I had finished my card and added her to our DT blog I saw a card that the gorgeous Deb Glennie had made and realised it was a bare arm with a bangle........derrrrr Lou!!! but I kinda like that she has a cool one sleeved top on so I left it!!!

The papers are we r memory makers Teen Angst along with a few more bits from the same range I got in the pack! the little IPOD charm is actually one of the stamps in red staz on ink shrinkified. I think it turned out real cute! getting a piccy of the holographic border strip and my crackle glazed letters was a bit more tricky!!

Here is a little bling shot so you can get a better idea of her hair, it looks so much cooler IRL!! the dots around them are glaze pens and copic spica glitter pens but I couldn't get that to show up too much either, I am just pants at pictures!!!
and here's another so you can see how the crackle glaze dried on the letters, it looks really cool!!
So, please pop in on the challenge blog and see what the rest of the awesome DT have made up to get you all inspired... I have seen them all, you don't want to miss them as there are some great movies to get you all going!!!
As usual for a thursday I am at work whilst this post is all scheduled up so I will be in to visit you all tonight when I get home!!

thank you for popping in on me, sometimes my little old blog is so quiet with comments that I swear I see a couple of tumble weeds drift across my screen so I hope at least a few people enjoy this post!! lol!!

Honey in rubber?....ooooh yes please!!!

Stamp- Saturated Canary Honey from Little Darlings stamps.
Morning peeps!!
How are you all this wonderful wednesday?! great I hope. I am! we got a little lie in this morning as Mo did't wake up until 5:30am!!!

So my share this morning is another of the gorgeous CHA release saturated canary stamps and oooooooooh I love them all!!! I have been merrily working my way through their gorgeousness and only have a couple more to share with you but today its the turn of Honey.

I fancied something a but whimsical so I split some cross stitching thread up and glossy accented each strand all curly onto the dp, then I used my fav Memory Box butterfly delights border to cut some little butterflies out in kraft and my dp and glued them on, sooooooo cute! I love them....heck I love everything!!!!!! lol!!!!

the papers are from my websters pages paper pack I got free on a magazine a while ago, the are delicious. I ripped and inked up some kraft and added a couple of little corners and the job was done!

Yesterday was very exciting as Mo and I returned home from work to the news from Scott that Poppy had lost her first tooth!! awwww my baby is growing up!!  Mo was so excited! he asked us if the tooth fairy would come and bring Poppy a puppy markie for her little tooth ( that was actually quite big as it was a middle one!!!). Now I am one of those daft mummy's that loves to make everything just a little bit magical for her little boy so the the tooth fairy did come and we let Mo go down to Poppy first this morning! You should of heard his little giggle as he found this package and read the note...
I tell you there is nothing better than making this little guy happy :)

Right that's me for today! I am on doggy duty again at lunchtime and before that I have a 40th birthday man card....arghhhhhh... to make and a ladies birthday card! best get a wriggle on!!
Have a wonderful day everyone, thankyou so much for popping in on me and my crazy little world!!

huge hugs Lou xxx

Happily Ever After on a Tiddly tuesday :)

Papers-Websters Pages Botanicals.

Morning Everyone!!
How are you all this tremendous tuesday??!! fantastic I hope!! its a brrrrr cold one here this morning and we have been up and raring to go since the small human alarm clock went  off at 4:55am this morning.......so I have had plenty of time to make up a little valentines card ready for the season of love!!!! ooooh and while I am here, please pop in on Christy's Tiddly Inks blog because there are 2 super cute freebies over there for you!!

I ADORE this stamp set from Tiddly Inks...and even better its clear which makes masking off the image to work out where to stamp the hearts behind the gorgeous couple really easy.

I coloured this stamp a couple of weeks ago and it has just been sitting next to me on my desk making me think awwwwww since so I am super pleased it has made it to a card!!

To bring in the colour of her dress to the card  added a squidge of blue tutu trim. I LOVE this stuff!! its awesome!! and I don't waste any either! I trim it to just fit behind the scallop to the edge of the card on both sides!!

So, my RAK for today was a chilly one!! he he he!! Since I was up and wide awake I went out to de-frost my next door neighbours car as she had to go to work soon. (Her little girl, Sophia, is Mo's breakfast buddy!!). Here they are enjoying the snow last night when we got home from school....
yup, they threw those huge snowballs at each other right after I took the piccy!!!

So that's me for today peeps!!! I have a lot to do today as I am on doggy duty and pick up duty after school tonight so I am hoping to get in a little make or 2 in between things!!!
Thank you for popping in on me!!
Huge hugs Lou xxx

Words mean things.....

Twine
Morning Peeps!!
I hope you are having a wonderful monday, its Lou in with a post for you this morning.

So this morning make is a bit of a memory one for me. One of my crafty goals this year is to make a card/ scrap page inspired by a memory or moment that means a lot to me. When I was at school I had the most awesome teacher, Mrs. Hutchison and she had a beautiful way with words and the way she read stories and sang used to be so magical to me so this card is made with her fully in mind.

I used the carta bella alphabet junction papers because it is a childhood memory, trimmed down my base papers and ripped a little tear into at the top, curling the edges around my paper piecing tool!! I cut a Die- Namics notched border and fishtail flag and then wrapped some twine around it.All the stamps are from the Die-Namics bookmark die and stamp set. I distressed all the edges of my papers too for a bit of umpf!!!

The sentiment is popped up on some foam and I made the little book charm by stamping 4 of the book stamp and adding a little bookmark of twine before attaching it through the torn part.

Here's a side view so you can see a bit of dimension....

On the inside of the card I stamped the long 'Read This' stamp. I love it because its just perfect for writing your message above it.

Do you ever RAK? not a planned one but an on the spur of the moment real RAK ? .....

Yesterday Mo made me proud. We were cleaning out some of his dressing up outfits that have gotten way too small for him and he said he wanted to give them to someone, not throw them away so we thought of 2 little guys who might enjoy them and Mo knows live near us and got ready to go, then he decided he wanted to give them some of his sweeties too and made them a little bag of sweets to go with the costumes. He had gotten dressed as Harry Potter while we were sorting through so kept his outfit on to deliver the little packages. Then off we went to deliver them. Mo LOVED it, albeit a little shy on delivery on the way home he was floating on air and he said...
"I feel epic! I made 2 little boys really smile!"
swoon, I love my little guy so much. Here's a piccy of his little piles...
Mummy's RAK was pants by comparison to Mo's!! I took some dog food and puppy food to my friend who works for the RSPCA. Last week she mentioned that sometimes the homeless people with dogs come in asking for food for their dogs so I decided my RAK would be some food for them as we have been hanging on to our gorgeous Holly's last food bag and Poppy never went on to pouches so they weren't going to any use on our cupboard. Here's my pants offering!!

Though I have to say we felt like a million dollars all afternoon.

That's all from me today! I am on breakfast buddy duty in a little while and need to get dressed still!!
Have a magical monday! thank you for popping in on me
huge hugs Lou xxx

Pitching in with a SMASH page :)

Morning Peeps!!
I hope you are all snuggly and warm on this freeeeezing sunday morning!!! we have a nice easy day today, Mo has a swim lesson at 10am but other than that the only thing we have planned is vegging out!!!

So this morning I have 'Pitcher' to share with you all! Last year during a bloggy wombling session I downloaded this printable I LOVED it, its  from Lara on the Less cake, more Frosting blog, its just such an awesome quote that helps me to focus when I am having a not so chirpy Lou day and giving up on things!! and it was 100% perfect for a smash page with 'Pitcher', one of the new release stamps from the gorgeously awesome Krista Smith's Saturated Canary stamps from Little Darlings rubber stamps.
Isn't she just adorable???!! I think she is awesome!!! its a quick but cute page because its all about the image and the quote, why mess with perfection :)

Also Lara has been into the hospital for surgery soon so if you fancy popping in on her blog and leaving some love I am sure she would appreciate that oodles. Lara has asked for us to do a bit of a RAK so I am thinking of mine right now and what I can do for it!

Of course it wouldn't be any fun without any washi tape so I used a bit of my gorgeous cloudy sky one Krista sent me in happy mail a while ago! I stroke it more often than I use it but thats just me! I have a whole box of strokeable washi tapes!! he he he!!!! and the cute little stickers are from one of my We r memory makers sets, and a little twiney bit was needed too!! :)

Right then, its time for a cuppa and a pintrest womble for CHA yumminess! I have been loving seeing all the gorgeous new bits popping up.

Have a super sunday, thank you for popping in on me
huge hugs Lou xxxxxx
