baby boys first birthday..

Stamp- LOTV Baby Boy.
Morning peeps!!
well I have to admit mum's surgery and other bits if life took a big whack of my little Lou crafty mojo this week but I had a gorgeous birthday card to finish and enter into the new LOTV monthly challenge so when I got home from work last night I got it done ( then crashed out in bed at 7pm and didn't get up until 5am this morning.....!!!)

I absolutely adore this stamp. I got it a while ago and have only just gotten round to giving him some inkies!!! but seriously awwwwwww!! and just right for that special first birthday milestone too!!!

The papers are from my papermania set Portabella road. It is just gorgeous and being as freddie was born in jubilee year I thought they would be super to use. He is coloured up with promarkers with a few little gel pen dotties here and there!!

And while I am here!! My mum was discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon! Now I have to admit I am both pleased and terrified that she has been let home. Pleased because I know she was struggling to sleep and misses home terribly but terrified because it took them a long time to get her off oxygen and she really wasn't with it. I spoke to her at 6pm last night and she was just getting some fresh pj's on ready for bed so hopefully she has had a restful night. Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers for her, I know they carried her safely.

Right got to go, need to go to the post office and pick up a parcel I missed yesterday while I was at work!!

No lines........

Image- Puppy Tobie from Some Odd Girl.
Hiyah peeps!!

ok, so mums surgery seemed to go ok and I spoke to her last nigt just as she got back and she seemed ok but this morning we got a message to say there had a been a little complication and there has been some damage to the dura :( this is one of the risks of the operation and mum will experience some pretty violent headaches and she has to stay in  the hospital longer then we expected but at least she is where she needs to be. It completely upskittled me this morning and I just could not settle at all.

I walked with Poppy and tidied up some and then this afternoon I spotted this on my gorgeous friend Leah's facebook wall and thought hey that looks fun....

so I popped off to join the SOG world and with some help from the fabulous Kristy I got my tobie digi printed out all no lines-y!!

Oh man...this colouring technique is kinda hard! my first one looked pants!! but luckily I only did the face so I just started again (lou printed out 4 incase of pantsness!!!) but I am kinda pleased with my first attempt and after Mo and I got home from school I knocked up a little card so I could pop it on my blog for ya'll to judge!! he he he he!!!

Right, time to make some tea for a little squidge!! huge hugs Lou xxxx

Passion for promarkers challenge 196- To Die For!!

Stamp- sitting angel from WOJ.
Flexmarkers- Antique white, champagne, Nutmeg and Auburn.
Papers- Huge Funky Love word book from Funky Hand.

Hello peeps! I am back! a bit later than I thought as I have been for my bloods and then popped to see Scott for some cheering up the Lou brekkie!! I had to fast for one of my bloods ( I had to have bloods done for 13 different things.....that I can't even remember!!) and with mum going in today my tummy is doing somersaults so a bit of Lou and Scott time was most appreciated!!

Its challenge day over on the Passion for Promarkers challenge blog and this week’s challenge which has been set by Nic from Team 1 and she has chosen

 “to die for”

Nic would like to see at least one die cut or punched item on your cards this week – simples!  Don’t forget you must use your Letraset products (i.e. promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.
Our generous sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy stamps and they are offering one lucky winner 1 stamp of their choice (must be in stock) from their online store.
whiff of joy
I was in a sepia kinda mood so stamped up my gorgeous stamp with some Memento rich brown ink and got to work with my fav 4 colours of flex marker!

The dies part was super easy! I just used a whole lot from my Die-Namics Blueprints 2 set!!! I cut the oval, masked off the bottom and stamped just the head of my little angel on there. I coloured her up and added a little clear star sakura pen to her and then rubbed it all over her whilst it was still wet to give her a little angel-ly sparkle!!

Now, this stamp, OMG I love it!! the reason it lives with me now is kinda funny!! I spent 5 weeks looking for this very same stamp for my gorgeous best friend and was so happy when I found one on ebay for her that I almost pee'd my pants, Mo jumped up and down squeeling and we bought it and sent her it for a surprise. Then lo and behold someone put one up for sale once pops had gotten hers and I just had to buy her for myself, she is just so gorgeous! so Thank you to pops for my sitting angel obsession!! he he he he!!

The papers are my fav Funky Hand ones, they are from a wordbook download that has the A4 sheeets of the paper included too and then I just teamed that up with some kraft card and cream marbled paper.

So thats me for today peeps!! I promise just 2 posts for today!!!

Tiddly Inks challenge 109...Inspired by a movie/book!!

Cavy Love -for you from Tiddly Inks
                                                     (inspired by G-Force)

Morning Peeps!!!
Its tiddly tuesday which means its time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog!

Create a project using a Movie and/or Book theme!   We can't wait to see what you create and make sure to tell us which book or movie inspired you!!!

Mo was a little lifesaver for me for this challenge as I just didn't know what movie to use until he sat watching G force on saturday morning and I snuggled up with him! after the movie I thought, hey thats a cute one and printed out the super cute little cavy!! (Here in the UK he would be a guinea pig).

The papers are all from my scraps folder! yey go me!!! and cut with my Blueprints 1 die set.

So I am not that with it this morning as I write. My mum is on her way to hospital right now to have her operation :( I love my mum so much and it is fair to say I am petrified. She is having a combined anterior disectomy and fusion and a posterior fusion all in one go, which means rough;y 4 and a half hours of surgery and a huge amount of recovery. Her lovely surgeon sent her a youtube computer video of the op and we watched it together a couple of weeks ago so in Lou language my mum will be drilled, screwed and pinned all in her spine :( if you have a little space in your prayers today please keep mum cosy in them.

I will be back in a little while with my PFP challenge card.

Huge hugs Lou xxx

SC Valentines petals.....

Coloured with promarkers.
Morning peeps!!

Its monday again so here I am with my DTDF DT make for the week, a super cute Saturated Canary make!! well, just look at her, she is way too cute not to ink up and...shhhh...she's on offer in the shop too so quick go get her before anyone else reads this post!! he he he!!!

I got out the last sheet of the stroke only and sniff occasionally Blank Canvas paper and popped it through my big shot with my Die-Namics Blueprints 1 die set.

I just had to squeeze one of her sentiments in too so I squooshed it onto the stitched circle die that comes in the blueprints 1 set!! (I know it has a squeensy bit missing but that yummy vintage photo ink around the edge does a fab job of moulding it in....right?!!!! lol!!!) they are just my fav cardmaking die set ever at the moment and they make it so easy. I masked off a little border at the bottom when I stamped her so that she sat in the rectangle nicely!!

So I have to get a wriggle on really. Mo's little brekkie buddy will be here soon and I need a cuppa!! but first I must tel you off little Mo's meltdown yesterday!! poor chap!!

So we went to a carboot sale at his school yesterday morning and Mo bought a telescope, the lady he bought it off gave him an old chemistry set too which was very kind of her but it was really old so I let Mo have the stand and test tubes but I threw away the chemicals ( I had the same Tommy Boyd set when I was little so that makes it at least 25 years old!!romfl)

However...super sneaky small one took said thrown away chemistry chemicals and decided to do some mad scientistying in his bedroom without mummy and daddy knowing....sigh....then popped out to play suddenly......sigh...so mummy and daddy knew something was up and popped up to said bedroom...kinda hurridly....and found a big black splodge on the carpet...which mummy rubbed and it made a huuuuuuuuge black splodge on the carpet whilst daddy called in small scientist from playing duties...who came in all sad...... Dopey mummy told him how dangerous chemicals were to which he started crying and decided he was going to die because he had black fingers from it ( oh yesss, they were black....!!!!) and he kept the panic up for an hour! I popped him in the bath, gave him a good scrub and calmed him down somewhat whilst daddy drove to my big sisters house and got the carpet cleaner hoover!!!.....2 hours later and all was calm again!! very funny now but oh boy did we panic as he had decided to mix 3 of the tubes of stuff together and when scott checked them with goggle the black one came up with oodles of warnings!!! oh the joys of boys!!!!

Thank you for popping in on me!!

This weekend.....

Morning Peeps!!
So I have no crafty make to share with you all this morning, just this quote I found on facebook a while ago.
We are busy indugling in family bubble this weekend! he he he!! yesterday we went to the shop especially to buy ingredients for Mo to make his own lemonade. it makes you fell 100% awesome knowing you did that tiny wish your little guy had for the day. These piccies are from my phone so they are not fabulous but they do show how much fun my little guy had making his lemonade!!!

This morning I made Poppy a liver cake for the first time, just need to slice it up into teeny pieces now and freeze some. I love giving her natural treats and they are sooooo cheap to make too, the liver only cost me £2 for 2lb of it!! bargain!!
Today we are wombling over to the school car boot sale and Poppy is taking a walk with her Grumbly dog buddies, then its home for snugglies and film.
I so love the weekend with my guys and pup!!
Have an awesome sunday peeps!!

Saturated Canary Challenge 42- All Things Bright and Beautiful colour challenge....

Image- Springball from saturated Canary.
Papers- MME Happy Day.
Coloured with promarkers.
Afternoon Peeps!!!

Before I waffley on about the new SC challenge any more I just want to wish our awesomely gorgeous DT Jane a super happy birthday!! love you chick xxxxx

So our Deb's set us this awesome colour challenge this time and ooooooh I love these colours!! I loved the new Springball digi too so I decided to go with a super funky and cool ball player!!

I added an extra little sentiment to the tag from my SU teeny tags die set and tied it on with some twine. I love the happy feeling on this card!!

My xrays came back and although they showed up early arthritis they also showed that my hip joint is ok for now which is awesome. The pain is coming from my thigh muscle which has Trochianteric Bursitis (...yeah, ya'll know I can't even say it!!!! he he he!!) so I have been referred to the muscular skeletal peeps for an MRI and treatment.
I also got whizzy new painkilers which although they don't stop the pain completely they do stop the awful burning feeling when I weight bear on my left leg so it is much nicer to walk.....though I am supposed to be resting completely for 2 weeks at least.....  (ok, I really really tried....I sat down for like a whole 10 mins with a cup of tea.....I am just not good at the resty thing peeps!!!) so hopefully soon I will have a treatment plan and get sorted!!

And the challenge rules are super easy too so please remember to follow them...

You must use either a:
Saturated Canary Digi
Saturated Canary rubber stamp,
or Simply Sassy rubber stamp
and follow the theme of the challenge.
and please remember you can only enter once.
And most importantly....
Have lots and lots of fun!!!

And please turn off your word verification and turn on comment moderation, you
just need to  need to go to 'Customise' , then choose 'Settings' then choose Comments Scroll down to where it says comment moderation and select always (it won't stop anybody commenting but they won't show on your blog till you approve them). Then you scroll down to show word verification for comments? and select No
Our DT don't want to miss any entries but word verification is becoming
increasingly hard and we have a whole lot of gorgeous makes we don't want to
miss out on leaving the love for :)

I am at work (...see resting....!!) right now so I will be back in on you all later.
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Pretty Pegs!!!!

Morning Peeps!!

well this is a question I ask myself everyday when I look at the snippets of yummy papers on my less than tidy craft desk!!!!! but I love them so much I don't want to throw them away!

what to do? what to do?!!!! romfl!!! so this is what I came up with last week when I was enjoying a couple of putting the washing on the lie days!!

I got to thinking my pegs were a little bit boring and needed some cheering up so out came the glue and scraps of Pink Paislee Prairie Hill papers and my glossy accents and 30 mins later I had pretty pegs!!!

All I did was splodge the scraps of paper onto my pegs with the glue and then filed around the edges to make them fit gorgeously.

Then I gave them a good coat of glossy accents and smoothed it out with a brush.

But...I couldn't stop there and made myself a little magnet for some of my notes from Mo, I so love the little notes he leaves all over for me, they make my day shine.

I attached a strip of adhesive magnet to the back.....

and stick it on the fridge to hold my Mo notes!! this is the one I got for valentines day with Mo's valentines day postcard from his besties! too cute!!!

so easy to make but so much fun. I have another on my front door (its white but metal!!) that holds a not telling me what Mo needs on what days at school (sigh....yes I am that useless some mornings, especially after the hols so need reminders!!!)

Right I had better get myself moving a bit, I have a grumbly dog walk this morning with my little Poppy acting as stoogey pup to get those big boys used to black dogs. Yesterday was our puppy class get together walk and Poppy loved it. Lots of playing with her buddies and eating horse poo......sigh.......here she is having a little veg out in the grass!!
Have an awesome day,
Hugs Lou xxx

Fathers Day tag card.

Papers and alpha's from Steam Funk.
Image from Colour me Happy.
Morning Peeps!!
It's my turn to post over on the Get Funky and craft inspiration blog this morning.

I have been thinking of Fathers day cards for my Dad's! and this one is my fav so far. I wanted something a bit different so went for this folded tag album card.

They are so much fun to make. All you need to do is print out your fav paper on some thin cardstock. If you want the inside to have a pattern on too, pop it back through the printer and print on the other side too.

How you do the pocket inside is up to you, I had fun making different pockets for this one! I love the shirt and tie one!!

I added a bit of string and saw charm to the second pocket, rolled the edge of the next over and added an eyelet and some punched Alpha's from the Steam Funk download. For the last pocket I punched a little out of the top of it and then printed out the tools image from the Colour me Happy workspace.

I was really careful with the little scalloped circles.  looked all over my texted paper and picked out some cool Dad describing words from it and then punched them so they would be clearly seen on the bottom of the folded over circle. I chose Smart, Slick, Knowing and Skill!! how fun is that?!!

Thank you for popping in on me
huge hugs Lou xxx

Image- Cute oriental characters from DSB.
Promarkers..
skin- tan and sandstone.
dress- poppy,crimson and burgundy.

I'm back again peeps!! its time for a new challenge over on the Passion for Promarkers challenge blog and this weeks challenge is....

 Button it up!

it doesn't get much easier than that does it?  Basically as long as we see a button on your creation then you’re fine. Don’t forget you must use your Letraset products (i.e. promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.
Our sponsor this week is the lovely Sally-Ann from DigiStamp Boutique and she is offering one lucky winner a prize of 6 digi images.
DigiStamp Boutique logo
I used Hana for my card. My Dad collects Momijii dolls and she so reminded me of one I just had to use her his birthday card.

I made the card base using my awesome Die-Namics Blue Prints 1. They are just a dream!! I used the largest one to cut the card base and then played with the other layers using one of the skecthes avaialble for them. The best news was that the big button die was perfect for this week challenge!! and I added a little red flower button to the top of it too, just to make sure I had those buttons in there!! he he he!!! the swirl is a sizzix one from my stash of dies!!!

Right , got to go!! I am having fun making something funky hand for tomorrow's bloggy post!! Just perfick for Fathers Day!!

Huge hugs Lou xxx
