Here you go this weeks sketch:

I hope you like it! I am a simple sketch kinda chick!!!
I had some cards to get made for christmas and this one is for an 8 year old so I wanted something christmassy and fun!! I hope Isaac likes it!
I used sandstone, cocoa and burnt sienna for his fluffy parts! poppy, crimson and burgundy for his reds and pastel blue, denim blue and midnight blue for the blues.

Tiddly Inks challenge 123....Christmas!!!!!

Image-  Birthday Boy and papers from the Yummy paper set.

Morning Peeps!!

its Tiddly Tuesday so you know what that means? time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog!!! and this week its....

...so grab your favorite Tiddly Inks image and color-up a winter scene, a Christmas party, or a cheery holiday card. All creations using a Tiddly Inks image will qualify for a prize and a feature after the two weeks are up.  Please create something new, no back linking!

So I made Mo his christmas card with my DT make!! I love it! the trousers were so much fun to play with! I drew little lines with my promarkers fine tip end and then coloured them in all different colours! so much fun and they turned out too cute!!
I used the awesome Yummy Paper set too, its just so deliciously christmassy!!

Now, onto my little guy!! regular visitors to my blog will know that my little Mo is a little different and he has firm beliefs on christmas that have shaped our christmasses in the most beautiful way. Since he was 2 and old enough to understand things he has said that christmas is not about presents, its about baby Jesus and family and he does not do letters to santa. Too cute ....but mamma and daddy really needed some help this year sooooo mamma got busy on this....
and then this followed....

flour, glitter and Daddy's walking shoe's rock!!
and then this morning little feet got up at 5:30am and were so excited to find the letter that.....
" mummy I think I am going to fall over! I got a letter from Santa!!"
he plodded down to our room and let us read the letter and then plodded back to his room and got busy with this....
so I am a super happy and super proud mamma this morning! I love that there are just 3 things on it and that he said thanks for the letter!!

Christmas is magic!!!!

I'm going crackers!!!

Morning everyone!!

OOOOOH I am feeling so christmassy now and this gorgeous Cracker die came in my DT box for me to play with!!

Its a very addicting little die and I think I may have a whole tree full of them by christmas day. For the christmassy one I just added a little lace edge with the Sweet lovely lace Doo Hickey die. I also cut out one of the toppers from the Kaisercraft Just Believe pad and tied a twine bow through one of the red ribbon sliders and then hot glued it to the topper. It looks so pretty.

........ but do you know what was even more fun?!! making little party favours for Mo's friends with it for his birthday party in a couple of weeks! His birthday is on the 16th December so I thought these would make such fun favours!!! and they don't bang which is awesome as Mo does not like cracker bangs!!! he he he!!!
There is enough room in there to squish 3 celebration/Hero's sweets in and a balloon!!! I will try and get some photo's taken of them for you when I have finished them off!!!

And whilst on the subject of the little guy I thought I would share a little piccy of him from yesterday. We had to pick up his new glasses and he has been very worried about them. When we got there the optician said that he really needed to keep them on all day to help his eyes adjust and he was very worried about that but he came through it like an absolute trooper. We took him out for lunch to Handmade Burger for a super treat because he did so well and I bought him a meerkat glasses stand for when he takes them off, its so cute! he had the choice of so many but he loves meerkats so thats what he chose.
Here he is in his new glasses!!!

He looks so sweet!!
Thank you for popping in on me. I have been a little quiet of late with everything going on but I am hoping to get back to my normal bloggy self soon!

Starting a little something special from Mamma for the little guy!!

Morning gorgeous peeps of the world!!!

Oh my! I am flying into bloggyland by the seat of my pants this morning as Little Mo actually slept until 7am!!! I can't believe it...and its so much nicer than the normal 4:30am snuggle call!! lol!!!!!

So we have about 6 mins before we need to leave for school but I wanted to share this little altered house I have started making for Mo's birthday pressie from me. He LOVES 'Where the wild things are' so I just had to use Tiddly Inks King of the Wild ones for him.

The gorgeous papers are from the Crate Paper story teller 12x12 stack. They are perfect for a little guy who love exploring.

I am only half way through his little box but I am so enjoying it, making things for your little peeps is just the best feeling ever.

The little stones (...Mo has a thing for stones..!!) are stuck on with hot glue so they don't tumble out every 5 mins!!!

I will pop another piccy on next tuesday so you can see its progress!!

Huge 'oh my gosh I am so behind because my little guy slept in' Hugs from Lou xxxxx

Sledging!!

Stamp- Whimsy stamps Time for Tea Sledging.
Coloured with Promarkers.

Morning everyone!!!

I hope you are having a wonderful monday morning so far. I was in the festive mood again so it was time to ink up this Time for Tea designs stamp!

I went for those stunning kaisercraft Just believe papers again because they are just beautiful. I layered up a few of the snippets I had left from last weeks card then fussy cut around my sledging girl.

I popped her out on some foam so she wasn't flat on the card and popped one of the die cuts from the paper pack just behind her head.

Now...do you like my new watermark?!! eeeep!! I do!!! my gorgeous hubby made it for me in photoshop elements. He made me a black one to print out on the back of all my cards. I do have a similar stamp but I keep forgetting to put it on or I just can't be doing with the faff of finding the stamp after the card is finished!! Lazy Lou!!

So all my blank cards now have this printed on the back of them!! yey!!! they are all ready to be decorated!!! I love my husband so much because he is so good at these things!

He says he is also happy to make them for others at a cost of £2 each so if you would like one please email me ( theres a little link down my sidebar) .

Today I have a scan to get to...urgh...one of those awful lady ones...urgh.......!!! but after that I might get some crafty time in!

Thank you for popping in on me!

Hairy and Scary!!

Afternoon all!!
We've had a busy morning as we had to pop into town to get Mo's disposable camera developed from his sleepover at the farm and get his eyes tested!!

The photo's are just gorgeous!! so cute and totally Mo!! the eye test didn't fare so well and he needs glasses for tv, computer, writing, reading etc. He wasn't really very impressed but I am sure he will be ok with them!! we took him to get his first ever Subway sandwich!! he had a beef and cheese salad meal! very exciting!!!

So onto my card!!! I love this funny little guy!! he is being released this weekend along with some super cool new papers over in the Funky Hand shop!!.
The new download is called Hairy and Scary! and if you click on the piccy of them below, it will magically ping you to their home in the shop!!!

Hairy and Scary downloadable backing papers
You can see a whole gallery of gorgeousness from the funkettes on that page too :)

I paper pieced my little monster up and then added some goggly eyes for fun!!! he is really cute...but scary of course ;)

He loved his little adventure. He was absolutely tired out last night when we picked him up and he got a little tearful at bedtime because he had missed us terribly at bedtime but said he was very brave! I am so proud of him.

Right, got to go, I have got oodles of washing to do and need to get a furball princess plodded round the block!!!

Have an awesome afternoon peeps!

Saturated Canary challenge 57....Distress......

Afternoon peeps!!!!
Its time for a new challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog and the theme for this weeks challenge was chosen by our gorgeous Becky. It is.........

"Distress"
so for this challenge we want to see you distressed!!! so think torn edges, super inky edges, tears etc!!!

Now for the details....

You must follow the theme using either a:
Saturated Canary Digi
Saturated Canary rubber stamp,
or Simply Sassy rubber stamp

So my card features the super cute Butterfly baby stamp. I coloured baby up with a mix of flexmarkers and promarkers and then got to work distressing some yummy layers of delicious papers!! I love love love these papers.

So today marked a huge step forward in the life of my little Mo. Siutcase packed and happy smiley face off he went to school for his first ever sleepover trip....actually his first ever sleepover full stop! and I am so brimming with pride that he felt comfortable enough to give it all a go and so very very thankful to a truly awesome teaching team for giving him the support he needed to feel able to go for it.

There were a couple of little hiccups in the night last night where little feet came pootling down to our bedroom....3 times.....to ask what he should do if he missed us at bedtime or needed us in the night. Lots of snuggles and kisses helped with this problem and seemed to do the trick. I told him its ok to miss people but to have oodles of fun at the same time and he seemed to understand that.

This morning he spent a very long time looking at the schedule school had printed out for him and he kept that in his pocket. He needed a few extra snuggles at the school gate and still kept checking the schedule until bell time!! he asked me to stay until he had gone to the classroom but even that is a massive step forward for him and I am just so proud. I am hoping bedtime goes without a glitch for him and he sleeps really well (...because he wakes up at 4:30am on the dot every morning regardless of what time he has gone to bed the night before!!) I packed him up a little brioche and a drink of chocolate milk incase he wakes super early and we bought him the new ' Diary of a wimpy kid' book to read and my mom gave him a booklite so he doesn't disturb the others too much.

So tonight will be a new one for me and Scott! the first time in 8 years we haven't had a little cutie to sort out! ....gulp!!!! that bit is kinda hard for me, few tears on my way home but I was a good mamma and didn't let Mo see anything but excitement for his big journey.

Thank you so much for popping in on me!
hugs Lou xxx
