Matchbox Accordian album fun!!!

Cheery Lynn Matchbox ( large).

Morning everyone!
Lou in again with a little bit of an experiment!!!! Tracy sent me this awesome Cheery Lynn Matchbox die in my DT box and I was so excited when I saw it! (....so was my little Mo...he had me make him 2 before I even had chance to do one for me!!!!!).

So I decided to make a matchbox accordion album. This kind of thing is a bit new to me but I still had the Prima Free Spirit papers sat on my table in front of me from another make so I decided to get on the task!! the little sentiments sheet was screaming use me so I snipped it up and popped one on each part of the album.

So here it is all tucked out of the box....
Now taking a photo of this was easier said than done!!! (...think Lou standing on chair...Lou crouching down..Lou wobbling sideways with her little lights from her light tent...Lou swearing some......) but I hope you can see just how much fun they are!!

I am already busy on my next one!! he he he!!!

Thank you for popping in on me

A little bit of love.......

Image- Pocket Valentine.
Papers- Prima Princess.

Hi everyone!

I am late posting my make today because we have just had the most awesome day watching Mo at his school play. We were super lucky as we got to go twice! Mo felt he needed us there and lets be honest..who wouldn't want to see that cutie do his thing twice?!!! he was so brave and he sat so beautifully waiting for his part which was quite near the end! he kept telling us over the past few weeks while they have been practicing ..

" I can't get up early mummy, I am the surprise person who is losted"

So cute!! all the children did so very well, there will be a lot of proud mummy's and daddy's tonight and I can't even begin to tell you how hard Mo's teacher and her TA have worked on the play, they are amazing.

When we first sat down in the audience all the children kept coming upto me in little batches to say thank you for their chocolate treats I made. It made me feel like a million dollars...but I think I turned crimson in my cheeks too!! lol!! Mo saved me with a snuggle!!

I made this card with Pocket Valentine from the magazine is called Complete Cardmaking Magazine and it was issue 47. It may still be available as a back issue HERE if you look but I am not sure.

A bit of yummy paper (..oh my..this paper is soooooo yummy!!!!) and a couple of flowers were all she needed, she is just so sweet in herself!!

Thank you for peeking

Yarghhh!! piratey chocklits!!!

Box- Skull Topper box from Samantha Walker.
Chocklits...made by me!
Morning peeps!!

well yesterday my day was full of making chocklits and little boxes for them to go in for Mo's class at school.

They are doing their school play today, Pirates of the Curry bean, and they have all been working so hard on it I wanted to make them all a fun little something to celebrate.

I got the little box from the silhouette store, its a no glue one so it was a case of cut 20 and then pop them altogether.

Then it was onto the chocolate! oooooh that was the fun bit!! I needed 90 little pirate themed chocoloates so my little pirate ice cube tray from Mutiny bay at Alton Towers came in super handy!!! (...I actually made more then 90 but some may of fallen foul to quality control..........)

Right, I had better get my butt into gear. We are watching Mo's play twice today! in the morning and this evening. I have conned him into the evening performance by telling him its not really that late because the clocks went forward!! lol!!

I am just a little bit in love with these new papers from Prima too...they were extremely stroke only but they matched the colours and feel I had to this image totally so I said a little prayer and then used a sheet or 2!!!! romfl!!!! the little sentiment type sheet is just so cool! I loved snipping a few from that and adding them on.

Yuki...and stroke only papers....gulp!!!

Morning Peeps!!

Hope you are all waking up to lovely mondays. I have got to do the school run, walk the pawsy peeps, go to the dentists for a filling (...long blood curdling scream inserted here...) and then take mum for her counselling session so hopefully at some point this afternoon I might get chance to sit down for a cup of tea.....albeit through a straw because my mouth will be numb!!!!!

Anywhoo, onto my makey for today!! I just adore this stamp, she is gorgeous and then there was the use of some extremely stroke only and whimper as the trimmer cuts them papers!!! in fact I think there may of been a scream...he he he!!!
Then it was just a case of splodge some colour on, rip a hole, mount and froo froo!! ahhh I love a cardmaking day me!!!

All the links you need for the bits on my card are just underneath the picture, you just need to click on the coloured names to be magically pinged to where they are in the Dies to Die For shop.

Right, well I guess I had better get started on little Mo's pack up before its time to go!! Have a wonderful day and thank you for popping in on me

A bit about us on Mothers day!!

Mo and mummy in the gardens at Alton Towers today.

There will be no paper, glue or froo froo in this post today because it is full of the most wonderful and special thing I have ever created.

Happy happy mothers day to my UK ladies. I hope you all have a day full of love with your little peeps. I have several friends whose little peeps or mummy's are in heaven so I want to send you all some extra snuggles today as you think of those dear to you. Huge hugs for you all xxxx

So, us for Mothers Day...we don't do the whole big presents thing, we do family time. Mo's school had a get a gift for mummy sale at school where they took £1 and chose a gift. I got a beautifully wrapped candle, I love it.

He made me love hearts shaped crumpets and a cup of tea and brought them up to me in bed (well...actually he gave the cup of tea to Scott to bring up because he is terrified of hot things!!)

Then we all jumped in the car and drove down to Alton Towers ( we love our Merlin cards we bought last year with our PPI pennies that came, best buy ever!!) and had a wonderful time exploring the gardens there. If you haven't ever been the gardens at Alton Towers are just stunning. Scott got on a couple of the roller coasters he loves and Mo and I plodded off into the greenery and explored whilst Scott was off thrill seeking! Mo LOVES gardens just like me so it was fabulous...

There are huge stones for climbing on and jumping off....or just being a little poser to indulge your mummy.....
We had lunch and then headed home. I am not at work tonight so its a lovely chilled feeling in our house this afternoon.

Mo and I made a heart with our fingers this morning...
Thank you for popping in

Tilda for Mothers day...

Stamp- Tilda blowing kisses.
Crafting magnets from Guys Magnets.
Afternoon peeps!!

I hope you have all had...or depending on time zoneage, are waking up to.... a wonderful saturday.
I have had a super day. We went into town for Mo to spend his £5 treat for having such a wonderful week at school (he chose the new Captain Underpants book...and has read it all already...and 2 Lego mini figures....he got Shakespeare so he was super happy!!) and then we met Scott's mum and dad for lunch...and I was really excited because I got to give her her mothers day bag card early!!

I was especially happy yesterday because I realized on wednesday that I had run out of my magnets that I make these little bags with (..on the piccy below you can just see one on the underside of the bag lid and and the front of the bag)....so big panic and then calm as I found some at Guys Magnets shop on ebay and popped in my order.

They are soooo strong. I attached them to the bag with a little squidge of strong tacky tape on each one and hey presto worry over!!!

Now I can't sing the praises of Guys Magnets enough because they are an awesome price and they came so quickly (I actually had 2 bags to get finished...totally forgot to take a good piccy of the other one I made for a friend's sister...doh Lou!!) but in the crafty little world of Lou it is just so exciting to find a new and fabulous place to get my magnets from. They came in a pack of 50 so I have plenty for my little bag cards and albums I love to make! yipeeeeee!!! ( ....yup...expect to see lots of mini albums popping up! lol!!!)

So another quick piccy of the bag closed....I added some rolled daisies to the front of this one with it being for a very special lady and mothers day....

and another quick piccy of the card nestled inside its box. I used the gorgeous new MFT Banner Greetings stamp and die sets, I curled it around my chubby lil thumb to get a curve in it and glued down the 2 valleys either end to keep it popped out. It looked so cool.

Right, thats me for today! I am off to make us a little salad for tea as we are still kind of rolling around full of chinese buffet but just neeeeed a little something!!

Thank you for popping in on me!

Retro Fun........

Good Morning everyone!!!
Its that time of month again for our 'Forgotten Funkies' showcase over on the Get Funky and Craft blog!!! and each month the fabulous Funkette's are over on our blog showing off some new makes with our older downloads.

Today's showcase is centered all around the gorgeously funky and zingy 'Retro Fun Wordbook' download. Just look at these stunning papers, they really pack a colourful punch so they are most definitely too good to be forgotten!!!

Retro Fun downloadable craft word book
I love these papers. They are so happy and cheery and just what I needed to cheer up a rainy day yesterday!! and how does this little box open?!! .....
Isn't it cute?! I got it from the silhouette store. Its Samantha Walkers 3D Surprise box.
I added a couple of rolled daises to the belly band and punched some teeny little leaves. This box would be so perfect to tuck a little mothers day gift into!

Don't forget to pop over to the Get Funky and Craft blog and see what the girls made, they all rocked this showcase!

Thank you for popping in on me
