Tiddly Inks challenge #202...Make it Rectangle...

Pull tab sentiment- Lawn Fawn Push here.

It's time for another fun challenge over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and this month the Tiddly Inkers want you to think.....

Make it rectangle!

 So think rectangle card/project bases!

(**remember...We love to see any new creation, a card, 3D project, journal page etc
but you must use a Tiddly Inks stamp or image **)

I could not resist another Magic Slider card make, oh my do I love this die set for super cuteness!! and to go with slider cuteness, I went for one of my fave clear stamp sets.... Wryn Berry Sweet clear stamp set.
This is how this lil cutie opens....eeeeep! I csn't get over how much I adore this magic!!! sooo cute!

It's a bit grey and wet here today so I think I am going to spend a little time in my craft room today. My chest is a little sore and tight from my chemo so making some stuff will be a welcome distraction!! I am still finding the Picc Line a bit of a tricky experience! lol! it feels sooooo strange just sitting there and it's still quite sore from the bruising and bits around having it put in, so I have made myself a little cover with an old long sleeve t-shirt and re-named it Picc-akchu to cheer myself up!!

Right, time for a warm drink and to get the Mo-ster bundled off to school.

Huge hugs and thank you's for popping in on me, Lou xxxx

Pigeons........

Image- Pigeons.
Pigeon Papers- from Vinthstock on Etsy.
Hi everyone!

I'm in for you today with a bit of a super special make for me because Maurie drew this image for me. My Grandad had a car accident last year and has been quite poorly since so I wanted to make him a super special card to let him know how special he is to me.

My Grandad breeds and races pigeons and I asked Maurie if she could draw me a senior man with pigeons and oh boy did she deliver, I just absolutely love him. So click on the piccy below to pop into the store and get him for yourself, he is just magic.

So I went with a little 'hello' kinda card because they are always the loveliest when you are not expecting anything in the mail. It was such a welcome escape from feeling a bit rough from chemo today.

So on thursday I was 40! and I had my Picc Line fitted at 9am in the morning for a present! lol!! there I was in my pretty birthday Calvin Klein dress getting all kitted out with a Powerpicc solo 2 catheter!!! I know how to rock a birthday right?!!!

Now, I've got to be honest and say I'm finding it kinda tricky to get used to but it did make chemo a lot easier on friday as we didn't have the whole try and find a vein trauma to go through so that was a lovely bonus!!

Right. I am going to attempt to do a little bit of gardening now, just a teeny bit. I bought 3 lavenders and some trailing lobelia from the car boot sale this morning so I want to get them in to catch the rain that looks like it is going to happen soon!!

Huge hugs and thank you for popping in, Lou xxxx

Col. Macallan.........

No automatic alt text available.

Cogs from Amazon.co.uk.
Morning everyone!

Today I am sharing one of my Kenny K stamps makes. I absolutely adore this fabulous steampunk pet bulldog. My little Mo loves steampunk and has been busy building his costume up for a few months now so with fathers day coming up I just had to help him out by making him a super cool gift bag to give his gift to Scott in.

The gears are some metal ones we bought in a selection bag and the rest will be going on Mo's brown top hat that goes with his costume but I thought it would tie in so nicely to put a few on Daddy's bag for him too. I can't wait for him to pop his choice of socks (we always gift socks for mothers and fathers day, its a kooky daubney thing, socks keep your heart warm) when we go shopping for them.

Right, I need to get a wiggle on! Oncology appointment today at 11am.
Huge hugs and thank you's for popping in, Lou xxx

Friends are the chocolate chips in life........

Morning everyone!

I felt like having a Tiddly Tuesday today!! Today will be mostly powered by me trying to find some kind of caffeine that does not give me reflux to keep me awake since I woke at 1:45am this morning ( thank you very much for the party chemo pains, let's not do it again tonight!! lol!!!) so a bright and cheery little make was just what I needed to get the Lou brain in the game today!!!

I have a busy week again! Today i am visiting the vampire bank (AKA my nurse!!) to give them some more bloods to test, then tomorrow I have an appointment with my oncologist to see how I am doing, thursday I am having my new PICC line fitted and friday is chemo day...phewsh!!! and it's half term too so I am squeezing a tonne of Mo time and snuggles right in there too!

Right, I need to get a shifty on. I am going to treat myself to a lovely walk to the drs surgery I think. Sometimes its good to just womble along Lou style in the fresh air.Not sure what Mo and I are going to do for the rest of the day but I do need to pop out and get some cake making bits so that will be on the plan somewhere.

Huge hugs and thank you's for popping in, Lou xxx

Wonderful Day..........

Image- Sentiment from Wonderful Day.
Morning everyone!

I decided to do something a little different for my Dream team DT post this week. I challenged myself to use one on the stunning sentiments Maurie makes to go with images as the main part of my card.

This sentiment comes with Wonderful Day. I absolutely love how it turned out. i just die cut lots of super teeny butteflies to 'fly' across the sentiment and some super cheery design papers.

It's school holiday time here and bank holiday today so I am lucky enough to have Mo and Scott at home. I'm not sure what we are going to do today yet as Scott is a bit under the weather with a yucky cold and sore throat. It might just be a veg out at home day today! we'll see how we all feel after a cup of tea!!

Thank you for popping in
hugs Lou xx

Jasmine Shopping..............

Image- Jasmine Shopping from LOTV.
Hi everyone!

I've just got back from a wonderful morning at the seaside and realised I haven't blogged any of the pretties I've been making this week!! derrrrr Lou!! so I thought I'd start with this one (...though you have to excuse the wonky bit of lace in the photo!! I squished it down whilst plodding out to my garage to take the photo lol!!)

I needed a new girly shopping kinda image and the Jasmine Shopping digital image from LOTV just fit the bill tickety boo!! Isn't she fabulous though?

I've been doing ok in the last week apart from my sore mouth and very sore nose but that's been much improved today so I will be on top form just in time for my next chemo on friday!! typical!! he he. I am so looking forward to arranging the time to take the pennies we raised to the Breast Unit too. Sadly the massive cyber attack on the NHS has left the team up there struggling terribly to get everyone seen and sorted out. I hope the idiots who sent the virus are satisfied that they put people lives at risk...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. So I am waiting until they get all sorted out and then I''ll go.

Right, I can hear the kettle calling me. I feel so relaxed after a swishy walk along the shore of the water. I LOVE days like today.

Huge hugs and thank you for popping in, Lou xxx

Kai is one boy (redux)........

Morning!

I'm in with my Dream Team make for you today and I have been lucky enough to need a super cute little baby boy image for 2 of my favourite little baby boy's over the last week....cue Kai is one boy (redux)!!

This cutie was just what I needed to make me smile as I was colouring, cutting and gluing! Isn't he just so cute?

I have been mostly well this weekend. Some good old chemo aches and pains but mostly good so I think my new injection really helped. Today I am hoping to get a bit more time to have a play with my yummy new Lawn Fawn bits and maybe my new magnolia stamps!...I'll see how far I get!! he he!!!

The most exciting thing I need to do today is ring the breast unit and see whn I can go and take my pennies in!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! I can't wait. I would love to try and get my photo taken with some of the people I know up there so you can see how amazing they are too.

Thank you for popping in! hugs Lou xxx

Cutie Pie...

Image- Cutie Pie from Tiddly Inks.
Slider Card Tutorial- Dawn's Stamping Thoughts

Morning everyone!

I've ha d a rough couple of days but am feeling a bit more Lou-ish today so the big pooter has been turned on for a blog post! wahoooooo!!!

Yesterday was my very special friend Erin's birthday. She is such a special lady so I wanted something with a bit of awwwwwww factor. I just had to have another go at the super fun slider card I have been so enjoying. I don't know what it is about them but I just LOVE them! Its so fun to pull up the little slider part!!

And of course, the brand new Cutie Pie from Tiddly Inks  images had to come out too, they just make me smile from ear to ear! they are the sweetest little things.

The inside just has a little decoration and I write on the back of the slider.
I have the date and time for having my Picc Line fitted now so I just need to do some talking with myself before it goes in that I can super whizz and manage it being in for 4 months (...you are looking at a girl that doesn't even like plasters here!! lol!!!).

Right, I'm going to have a raspberry tea and label up my new stash of magnolia stamps from Swedish House Crafts...oh my!!! they are seriously way too gorgeous!! I got some dies too so I am seeing how long I can hold myself off playing with them (...I give myself like......5 minutes!! bwah ha ha ha!!!!).

Huge hugs, Lou xxxxxx

Going Up Boy..........

Image- Going Up Boy.
Slider Card Tutorial- Dawn's Stamping Thoughts

Morning everyone! I'm in for you today with such a fun card. I absolutely loved making this one. I popped a link to the tutorial up there ^ under my photo incase anyone else wanted to have a go with this card base!

And of course! Going Up Boy was just the perfect image for the job with his little balloon carrying him and his sock monkey off on an adventure!!

Here is the card open! eeeeeeeeeep!! so cute with that little hidden birthday message! I love it!!

And this is how he opens up! so cute!! I do love a super fun card!!

So my 2nd dose of chemo didn't go exactly to plan on friday!! I had a bad reaction to it after just 24mls and it had to be stopped while they quickly gave me some piriton and extra steroids to sort me out.I have never felt so yucky. I couldn't breathe properly and my head felt like mush and the nurses told me my face was a glorious shade of cherry red! but they were so super in sorting me out I was ready to go again after 30 minutes rest. My vein refused to flush at the end of my chemo and the nurse was worried it might blow if she tried anymore which would mean chemo drugs in all the wrong places so they removed my cannula.

My veins are so feather thin I am having to have a Picc Line fitted in a couple of weeks. I'm a little nervous of that but it will be so much easier for everyone in trying to get me sorted because trying to get a vein to get chemo meds and IV's in is quite a trauma! he he!!! so the Picc Line will go into the top of my right arm for the next 4 doses of chemo. It's not too long so I'll just get those big girl pants pulled right up and get on with it!!

To stop me getting sick like last time (...hopefully!!!) I have been given some special injections to inject myself with for 7 days to make those little white cells boost for me instead of deplete too much like last time. I was a little nervous about doing them but pulled up my big girls pants and went for it! Pinch an inch, 45 degrees, push it in and the job is done! Go me!! First nivestim injection done! ðŸ’‰
So I am learning new skills each time!! he he!! Thank you for popping in, Hugs Lou xx
