A little post from Me!! Tilda with a Bee!!

Stamp- Tilda with bee.

Well! Hello little blogaverse of mine!

It's been a long while since I've posted so I thought I bet swoosh away the cobwebs and tumbleweeds and post a card I made back in August!!

Since August we have been busy with renovating our crafty garage into a little room for Little Mo to have a little more independence and continue to develop his skills of bravery!!!! (I say Little Mo but the truth is he is an 18 year old who towers above me now!!!!).

He is quite happily pootling doing his second year of his Level 3 in Animal Management and has a lovely little job in a local kennels as a kennel assistant which he thoroughly enjoys.

I am still pootling along making cards tough I haven't really been able to reach any of my stamps, dies, pens etc since we started the garage conversion because they are all tucked away safe for when Scott makes me a new crafty space upstairs in the house in Mo's old bedroom when he goes out to his new little room in the garage!

Right, that's the pooter keys back in blag action and the dust blown away so I'll get back to assisting Scott with the new sliding doors we are putting in upstairs! I might be a little bit addicted to them but the space they give you back from open/close type doors in a smaller house like ours is phenomenal, our en suite feels soooo big now.....well......it would do if it wasn't full of my craft draws and boxes.....!!!

Huge hugs, Lou xxxx

Tilda with a cosy heart...

Image- Tilda with cosy heart from Magnolia stamps.
Coloured with Distress Markers.

Morning everyone!

How are you all today? Great I hope. Today I am sharing my Mother's Day card for my wonderful MIL. I do so love a 3D card and the lawn fawn scalloped box card pop up is just perfect for the job.

I added a rectangle of card to make an image piece for the back so I could have the little Tilda just as I wanted her. A little bit of Lou froo and she was all ready to go.

And this is my Little Mo (actually probably not so little now!! he is 16 now!!) with the fruit pie he made for his cookery course. He made this yesterday knowing Mother's Day was coming and said he wanted to put his own twist on the lattice top and boy oh boy did he do a super job! it looked so pretty. He 'painted' the heart and rose with some food colour gel mixed in milk! what a star!! Here it is before it went in the oven. Look at all those little hearts!!!

And it was absolutely delicious!! He flavoured the apple inside with a little ginger, sugar and butter. It was so warming with melty pastry, anyone want to nibble a bit through the screen?!!!

And today I was given a beautiful little hanging decoration for my gift, it's soooo cute! The stone is one of his polished stones from his rock tumbler.

Right, time for a walk with my gorgeous boys and pawsy peeps. Thank you for nipping in! Hugs Lou xxx

Halloween bundle of fun!!.......

Morning peeps!!

I'm boo-ing in with a make for you today featuring the gorgeous Halloween Bundle instant download. You wouldn't believe the variety of bits that come in the download. I had the best fun putting a few different bits to use on this card.

I loved the little coffin and balloons! the coffin was just perfect for tucking behind my layers and then the little balloons popped up on some foam were just magical for some dimension.

And then there is the just-so delightful Black Cat Tilda from the Magnolia stamps Halloween pop up. I also masked her off so I could use the little window and the distressing style stamp on my image piece. I LOVE them!!!

The last element I just had to get on my card was the black cat potion label! I couldn't believe how perfectly it went with Tilda! too cute! I added a little glossy accent on to the top of that to make the bottle a little bit more 'real'.

Thank you for peeking in!! Huge hugs Lou xxx

Travel Theme with Allsorts challenge blog!!

Morning everyone!!! I'm a bit excited today!! Swedish Housecrafts is sponsoring a challenge this month and I had the greatest honour of being asked by our lovely Lynn to take part as a guest over on the Allsorts challenge blog and the theme is Travel.

I knew just the papers I wanted to use for my little card! The Pion Designs The World Await 6x6 complete collection is just stunning and even better, it has these stunning little images on one of the sheets that I thought would be just perfect as Tilda's 'photo's' taken on her phone while she travels!!

I took the time to distress and mount each layer of design papers and images onto some Crafters Companion Neenah desert storm A4 to really make the layers stand out from each other.

The little 'photo's' are popped out on some foam squares so they really stand atop of the rest. I love how that bit came out in the finished card so much.

I think this is my favourite design paper in the whole collection, I love those little airships and balloons on it...

Well, that's me all waffled out for the day!! thank you so much for peeking in on me. We are on a mission to get Mo a new raincoat today as his is a bit too small finally after 2 years!!! lol! He has been squeezing into it all week with the bad weather but it's rather cosy over a shirt and blazer and he can't cope with that feeling so a new one is needed!!

Have a magical day all, huge hugs Lou xxxx

Bath Tub Tilda....

Morning Everyone,

I'm in with my Swedish House Crafts post for you today. I decided to have a play with the newly released Let's Go collection. I really loved making little Epsom salt and lavender gift bag using one of the bags my Magnolia Advent Calendar came in!! well, one has to save and re-use lovely things!!!

Bath Tub Tilda is just the sweetest little image and I decided to stamp her, mask her up and then use the stunning Vintage room door behind her as the bathroom door.

I added a little glossy accents to her bubbles to give them that lovely floaty bubble kind of look, so pretty. I stamped out 2 of the little perfume bottle stamps and cut around them to decorate the bottom right corner of my gift bag.

They look so sweet. For the top of the bag, I used a Magnolia Lace DooHickey die from my stash and the die cut the gorgeous little crossed keys from the Lobby Accessories die set. I cut them twice, once in kraft card and then once in my design paper so I could use the little negative cut hearts from the tops of the keys to sit on the centre where the keys cross over.

The Maja Designs Christmas Seasons 6x6 pad had to be used again!! I absolutely adore it and it's always worth remembering that sometimes Christmas papers are not just for Christmas use!! they are just so beautiful.

And here is a side view of my little gift bag. I so wish you all had scratch and sniff screens so you could smell the lavender, its gorgeous. This would be such a lovely gift for someone who is moving into a new home and will need a good soak for their muscles after all the moving of boxes!!!!

Right, time for me to get off here and get a wriggle on. Monday mornings always feel a bit slow and then kapow...they've caught up with me and I'm a hot mess!!! he he he!!!! Have a magical day everyone.
Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxxx

Tailor Tilda....

Magnolia stamps Butterfly Dreams tag die
Hello everyone!!

I had such a wonderful time pootling along with this little card and one of my favourite things from Magnolia stamps....their mini world stamps!! Oh, I just love them because you can fit so much fun into makes with the using your old and trusted Magnolia DooHickey dies. I used the Dream Tags die to pop the super sweet little Tailor Tilda on.

Let's take a closer peek at her with her little sewing machine!! awwww!!!

The card shape is made using the Magnolia DooHickeys Recipe card die. To make the little pink gingham designer paper piece. I used a sheet of my golden oldie 6x6 magnolias paper I cut a piece of it out with the die and then left it in there while I drew around the inside edge of the die with a pencil. I then cut along that pencil line and distressed the edges to get the perfect little matting piece on the card.

I also took some time to make her some little patchwork quilt pieces using the Gummiapan Hens Net die. I carefully lifted it out of my die cutting machine so the pieces stayed within the die so I could get my trusty thin black pen to draw the 'stitches' on. I love how it came out!!

And how sweet does the little Gummiapan Button Heart die look with a little thread through it as an accent on the tab part?

Now, did you all get the Magnolia DooHickeyclub Volume 20 Magazine? ooooh, I so hope you did because it has the most beautiful little pair of scissors and a needle and thread die! they were just perfect for this make! I couldn't believe my luck when I saw them in the set!!!

I used a teeny little brad to put the scissors together and they look so sweet!!

Here is the needle in action too! I had super fun threading it!!

A repeat job of making the matting on some white card worked so nicely for the back of the card and I utilised a few more of those gorgeous little quilt pieces to dress up the corners.

Right, time for me to pootle off!! Thank you for popping in, Huge hugs Lou xxx

Have dinner with me?!!!

Hello everyone.

I'm popping in with my Swedish House Crafts DT post because dopey here forgot to post it on my own blog on Wednesday....derrrr Lou!! So I'm sat here now with my cup of green tea with Jasmine catching up on postings!!! I need to do this one today because tomorrow I will be busy getting my radioactive injection for my bone scan in the afternoon....seriously peeps, if I do not get some superpowers from this go I will be so sad. I am fully expecting that X-ray vision or flying powers again...if it doesn't work, the NHS has gone right downhill!! bwah ha ha ha ha!!!!

I just couldn't resist a make using the lovely autumnal colours peeking out from the end of summer now! Luckily, I had a couple of sheets left of the Pion Design 6x6 Complete collection Summer Falls into Autumn papers are just the right blend of autumn prettiness that I needed. Just look at how beautifully they combine...

and then, of course, there is beautiful Sitting Tilda. She is one of my favourite sitting magnolia stamps because she can be used for any occasion at all. Oh, how I love her little expression whilst she is just sitting there!! she is just so sweet!

I used some dies from my stash, but luckily Suha has these amazing Pierced Scalloped Circles Nesting dies in the shop you can use to get the same effect  around the treat cup ( also from my stash) to fill with little popcorn kernels for the super cute recipient of this card (....my little Mo of course!!!) to make us some popcorn to share!! so naturally, I needed the  Have dinner with me text to remind the little guy I need to share that yummy popcorn once it's made, please!!

These papers really are so beautiful, I love the little details Pion included in the corners.

They really do set a beautiful little scene with their collection papers, don't they?

Right, I am going to finish up my green tea whilst having a little womble around the internet then I am treating myself to a lovely day of crafting. I had a big card chuck out last week so my little box is looking a little sad and needs some happy birthday makes in there I think!!!

Thank you for popping in on me, huge hugs and love Lou xxxx

Flower's All Over!!

Morning Peeps!!

It's Lou in for you and I'm so excited to be doing a Guest Make for the Allsorts Challenge Blog today as Swedish House Crafts is sponsoring their challenge.

This time the theme of the challenge is "Flower's All Over" and it is such a fun one to play with! I know I certainly had fun with it anyway!!

I decided to make a criss-cross card again so I could use a couple more of my 'very stroke and use, taking deep breaths only' Pion Design 6x6 Complete collection Summer Falls into Autumn papers. They are just so delicate and pretty and luckily I had enough little scraps left to paper piece my little Magnolia stamps Lovely Emoji's Okay Tilda's clothes to match the card base. I'm so pleased I did that because I love her little outfit! It's a fiddly technique of stamping and fussy cutting but such fun to do when you see her little outfit come alive.

I love how the little Magnolia stamps Sweet Cosy Love So Wrapped Lovely DooHickey die turns the lift out message part of the card into such a sweet lift out pat so easily. I nestled a little Dragonfly from the Magnolia stamps Bon Voyage Dragonflies DooHickey dies set for a little extra touch.

Once the message part of the card is pulled out you can see a few more flowers on the inside backing paper piece!! well, it as Flowers All Over so it had to be done!!

And just check out how gorgeous the Roxstamps Special Congrats die looks nestled into the flowers. I cut it twice, using the kraft coloured cardstock behind it as a 'shadow'. I love how it really makes the beautiful scripted font 'pop' when you do that layer behind with a different colour. And I know it's not daffodil season really but I so love the little Magnolia Stamps Daffodil die that I couldn't resist a couple of yellow daffs to sit with the paper sunflowers from my stash.

Now let's take a closer look at Tilda with her lovely little matching the card base clothes!! I love how she is holding her little thumb out to congratulate whoever the card ends up being for!! awww!!!

Right then, time for another cuppa after all that Lou waffling on!! Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Huge Hugs Lou xxxx

Fixer Upper Edwin....

Morning peeps!!

I'm in for you today with my Swedish Housecrafts DT make and I think it's just perfect for Father's Day which is fast approaching us now.

Fixer Upper Edwin is just the sweetest little stamp to help you along with those slightly harder to make for males! and I ADORE him. I thought a little notebook for Dads' to jot down bits and bobs would make a really lovely father's day gift so using a little mini notepad bought from the shop, I got to work. You just need to gently remove the front cover and replace it with a piece of kraft cardstock. I allow 1/2cm for the "spine" of the notebook width and then a good 1.5cm to go down the back of the notebook so the front is secure. Once that's done, you are ready to decorate it!

I stamped Edwin out on some normal colouring cardstock and then onto some papers from my paper scrap box (the little pieces I find in there from my stash of used bits were just perfect for a little notebook altering!). Then it was time to colour up and have some fun paper piecing his hat and shirt to match! so cute!!

And how fabulous are the little screws and bolts in the Fixer Upper Painting brush, Hardware & Hammer dies set? I think they are just magic. They would be just perfect for a shaker card too you know! Just imagine those little screws and bolts floating around!!

Right, I need to get my butt into gear! I have my pre op appointment today...ooooh there's nothing quite like swabs around your nose and crotch area to check for MRSA!! I tell you, there's always something to look forward to in Lou world!!! romfl!!!

Have a magical monday peeps! Thank you for popping in, Hugs Lou xxx

Porch Tilda..........

Stamps- Porch Tilda.
DooHickey Dies- Grandpa's flower leaf.

Phewsh!! am on a painting break!! Having chemo makes me a bit tireder than I normally would be so while the 2nd coat on our bedroom is drying I am having a bloggy break to share this little card with you that I made on yesterday's paint break!! (....well, sitting down is resting in my eyes right?!!).

If you missed the Magnolia stamps pop up box 3 then you need to pootle on over to Swedish House Crafts and order some of the scrumptiously cute stamps and dies that came in it. Oh my do I love them!!

I also used one of my Little B's Block Out dies for this card. I love how it makes such a simple but really effective cut out sentiment with the Kraft card showing through and of course....I couldn't resist using that gorgeous Small Daffodil die either!!! I nestled it in between some pretty flowers and those wonderful DooHickey leaves.

Oooooooooooh my arms do feel like jelly!!!! I am most looking forward to my baked sweet potato to umpf me back up for the next coat of paint activities!! I may be pooped out but it does feel so very good to have a fresh coat of paint on. I've finished our little En Suite and it looks so wonderful. The grey bathroom paint I chose has a special little glitter pack you can add to it. I chose silver and it's a subtle beautiful shimmer when the sun catches it, luckily our En Suite is just small so there was plenty left for me to carry the theme of glittery bottom and whisper white top into our bedroom.....I am actually like Lady Glitter Sparkles from Trolls!!!!

Right, time for me to pop off and see what I fancy colouring now...see!! waiting for paint to dry isn't that boring when you do it Lou Style!!!!! Thank you for popping in, Lou xxx
