Awesome Tilda!!!!

Hello everyone!

Thank crunchie it's Friday!!! I'm ready for the weekend this week! sometimes I just want to curl up in that family bubble! we have a big birthday celebration for Scott's lovely Nanna this weekend and I'm really looking forward to a catch up with everyone.

And onto my make for today!! I wanted to make a little encouragement card. Luckily, there was just the die I needed, the Roxstamps special die- Awesome and the Tilda, Magnolia stamps Fixer Upper Tilda stamp that would fit just perfectly on top of what my little Lou mind had planned!!! yey!!!

Now, I LOVE paper piecing and the papers in the Maja Designs Denim Girls 6x6 pad are just spot on perfect for stamped images clothing. The pattern on the paper I chose for this one is the most delicately beautiful little flowers.

And who could resist using the stunning little Magnolia Bon Voyage Dragonflies dies? I never can! They are just the right mix of pretty to lift a blank space on your card without shouting hey look at me!!! I adore them!! I cut 2 from the scraps I had in my paper stack.

Let's just take a closer look at the fabulous Roxstamps special die- Awesome. Did you know that these were made just for Swedish housecrafts store? I think its just fabulous. I love that curvy text so much. I cut it in kraft cardstock them mounted it up on foam pads to make it pop, then I carefully did the same with the teeny negative cuts to make the word whole. I really love how it came out.

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Travel Theme with Allsorts challenge blog!!

Morning everyone!!! I'm a bit excited today!! Swedish Housecrafts is sponsoring a challenge this month and I had the greatest honour of being asked by our lovely Lynn to take part as a guest over on the Allsorts challenge blog and the theme is Travel.

I knew just the papers I wanted to use for my little card! The Pion Designs The World Await 6x6 complete collection is just stunning and even better, it has these stunning little images on one of the sheets that I thought would be just perfect as Tilda's 'photo's' taken on her phone while she travels!!

I took the time to distress and mount each layer of design papers and images onto some Crafters Companion Neenah desert storm A4 to really make the layers stand out from each other.

The little 'photo's' are popped out on some foam squares so they really stand atop of the rest. I love how that bit came out in the finished card so much.

I think this is my favourite design paper in the whole collection, I love those little airships and balloons on it...

Well, that's me all waffled out for the day!! thank you so much for peeking in on me. We are on a mission to get Mo a new raincoat today as his is a bit too small finally after 2 years!!! lol! He has been squeezing into it all week with the bad weather but it's rather cosy over a shirt and blazer and he can't cope with that feeling so a new one is needed!!

Have a magical day all, huge hugs Lou xxxx

Christmas Carton!!!

Morning Peeps!

I'm in for you today and I have been having some fun making little bits to put on our table for christmas day. The Gummiapan Milk Carton die was just perfect for this!! they would be so wonderful to make a little advent calendar with too!!

I used the stunning new Christmas Season papers from Maja Designs to die cut my little carton and the little tag is from the Magnolia Doo Hickey club 20 magazine.

I even covered my mini bulldog clip with a little scrap that was left over too! I love how it all co-ordinates!! oooh, get me!!!

There is a super amount of size to tuck in some little treats like sweets or even a Lego man if you have a Lego obsessed child like me!! he he!!! It's just shy of a lip balm height so you can tuck some little cute things in there!

Right, I need to go drink lots of water for my ultrasound today...I am going to be bursting for the loo!!!

Thank you for popping in, Huge hugs Lou xxx

Get Whale Soon.............

Good Morning peeps!

I'm so happy to share this little Get Whale Soon make using the super sweet little whale and his sentiment from the Gummiapan Animal Kit sheet B stamp set. It is still one of my favourite sets to use because of those fabulous bold stamping lines you get.

Here's a closer look at the whale! I added a little glossy accent to his balloon, I love it!! I decided to paper piece my elephant to add some extra fun to the card. I love paper piecing and this stamp set is perfect for it with those gorgeous bold ink lines. I stamped him onto a scrap of patterned paper from my bits box and then fussy cut him out with my scissors. I also stamped him out on white cardstock so once I had cut him out with the Gummiapan Animal Kit B Matching Dies he would still stand proud from the little circle of design paper behind him.

I used hot glue to stick the paper pieced whale onto the white die cut so that when it dried he popped out a little. Then I squeezed some glossy accents onto his little spout and arranged some beads from my stash to make him a 3D little spray. To keep those on safe, I then glossy accented over the top of them too.

I love the swooshy font on the Get Whale Soon sentiment, it's so pretty. I stamped it on another scrap of design paper from the same pad in my stash and then cut it with a die, also from my stash...I have a good lot of stash to play with!!!!

I love to liven my cards up by distressing the layers. All I do is run my scissor blade down them to 'fluff' them up. It looks especially nice when you glue a little piece of scrap design paper behind the curled up tears in the paper. I love this effect.

Oooh and don't forget...

Thank you for popping in!!  Huge hugs and squishes, Lou xx

Unicorn Treat Box....

Morning everyone!!

I'm popping in with my Swedish Housecrafts DT make. I took some time to play with the gorgeous Gummiapan- Apple Box die. It really is the perfect little die for making super sweet little favor boxes for parties and it is so quick to put together too. The best thing is that you don't need any glue to put it together (...which is even quicker because you don't have to allow glue drying time!). The little handles simply tuck through the 2 slits that are in the side when you assemble the box.

I used Crafters Companion Neenah Desert Storm cardstock to make my little box, it looks so sweet in kraft coloured paper. My top tip with this die, once it is cut, is to fold every scoreline both ways before you start to put it together because it makes it so much easier to fold around. Also, take a second or 2 to gently roll each handle around a pen so that they are easy to manoeuvre into the slits.

Now, onto that cute little Magnolia- I Believe in Unicorns stamp and text.! oh my! it is the sweetest! I stamped the text onto pink cardstock from my stash and then cut it out using a fishtail die, also from my stash, but I know that Suha has some gorgeous Gummiapan Stitched Banners in the shop. I adhered my little banner onto a wooden kebab skewer and cut it to size, hot gluing it onto the back of the box.

Then it was time to stamp and fussy cut the little unicorn. I used Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink. It is perfect for me because I colour with promarkers which are alcohol based pens. I also added a little bit of glitter pen and glossy accents to the horn to make it 'pop' a little! it looks so sweet. I hot glued her to the inside of my box.

And not forgetting my beautiful little Roxstamps- Curlicue Edge Decor on the sides of my Apple Box. It is such a beautiful die. I cut 4 of the edge and then cut each edge to size, gluing it onto my little box.

To get the little glittery strip all the way around I just attached a strip of thin double-sided tape all the way around the box and then dipped it down into some fine glitter from my stash.

Then I tucked a little paper doily from my stash into the box and filled it with yummy little foam Unicron sweeties from Asda!!

And, more excitingly, as you know Suha is having a wonderful celebration during the month of June. Please pop in on Suha’s post HERE for a video where she explains all about it.  Everyone is invited to join the party, we are all being celebrated no matter what you make.

And even more special is that Suha would love for you to share your makes with us so she and us DT peeps can pop in and see your wonderful creations. All you need to do is write a short post with your make and then link to the post here so we can come to visit you. I cannot wait to pop in on you all!!

Suha has even thought of a fantastic hashtag you can use if you post on any social media you use, she has made it especially to show that we are 'One Special Community' and she will be keeping a special eye out for you using it and here it is...

#1SPECIANITY

Right! I need to scoot!! woofers to walk and then my saturday morning weigh in at my fabulous Slimming World group and straight off the scales to my gorgeous friend Lou for a crafty class. I can't wait for a lovely catch up and crafty fun.

Have a wonderful day everyone, thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xx

Tilda with dotted boots....

Magnolia Doily Flowers dies.

Morning everyone,

I'm with my Swedish Housecrafts DT post for you today. I was in a wonderful playing mood when I sat down to create this so I decided to alter a little plain kraft gift bag instead of making a card. It's such a lovely way to send off a little gift to a friend.
I love the Gummiapan Hen's Net die tucked in behind the matting layers and the super cute little Gummiapan Heart Button die to 'tie' the twine together. It just creates a little bit more interest in the whole fun scene coming together with the little chick!! sooo cute!!

I used 2 stamps from the Magnolia stamps It's Springtime' release, they really are just totally too cute!! I went for Tilda with dotted boots and one of the chicks from the Cute Chickens set. The littlest chick was just a perfect size to keep Tilda company while she collects her flowers!! Let's take a closer look at them!!....

Awwwwwwwwwww right?!!! I paper pieced Tilda's clothing so she would match into the papers I had chosen to decorate the bag with. Luckily, the fabulous 12x12 Maja Designs Vintage spring basics 10th of March paper gave me plenty of playroom to paper piece and cut out all the little extra flowers too! and look at Tilda's little boots!! I coloured those in yellow with little green dots and then added some glossy accents to make them shine.

I cut the stamped image 'mat' out with the Gummiapan Old paper dies.(..sadly they are out of stock at the minute but hopefully back soon so pop them on your wishlist for when they come back in!).
Then I had some fun die cutting some Magnolia flower Doo hickeys from my stash. These ones are the Magnolia Doily Flowers and they are just a dream to play with. I cut them out, gave them a good spray of glimmer mist, squished them up and then dried them out with my heat gun before unscrewing them.
I gathered 2 together and popped a mini brad in to hold them together and make the flower middle.

And mixed in this one below are the teeny little flowers from the Doo Hickey 14 set. They just finished off the corner arrangement with being so teeny and cute! Oooooh I do love a good play with my flower dies now and again!! you honestly do forget how nicely they come together.

I also used the absolutely stunning Magnolia Bon Voyage Dragonflies. They are one of my all-time favourite Doo Hickey buys!! This is the smaller dragonfly of the 2 and so sweet. I cut it twice and layered it up for some dimension in the wings, and the used a little scrap of the Hen's Net die cut I had leftover from my matting to make the handle of the bag look a little less boring. it looks so sweet.

Corrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! I've spammed you with piccies a bit today!! lol!!! but there were just so many fun bits to altering that little boring kraft bag I couldn't help myself!! I'm going to leave you all in peace from my waffling on now and go and get a cuppa!!

Huge hugs and thank you's for popping in, Lou xxxx

'Cause I love you.....

Morning everyone!

There's just one more crafty day to go until Valentines Day and I have been busying away making Scott's card.

I adore the Magnolia Lovely Emoji's collection and I bought them all last year because there was no way I could choose just a few things!!!

Cause I love you Tilda is my favourite though. There's just something about the way she holds that little heart in her hand that makes me smile.....plus her hair is pretty much like mine right now so I can identify with her!! he he!! I added a little glossy accent to the heart to make it stand out even more, and I doodled some teeny little white hearts onto her socks too....

For a little scenery, I used the Magnolia Doohickey- Lovely Fence die. Now, when you cut it out, make sure you keep all those gorgeous little heart negative cuts that come out of the fence tops. I used these to scatter around my card and to accent a few of the corners of my matting.

For the matting on my card, I used the stunning Gummiapan Dies -Old Paper dies. The effect on their edges is just so pretty. I added a little distress inking with Walnut stain distress ink to them once I had die cut them just to add some softness to the cut edge.

For the sentiment, I just stamped it and cut around it with the edges of one of the smaller dies so that it matched the rest of the matting.

A little lace and twine from my stash just finished it off. The little flowers on the fence are from the Magnolia Doohickey 14 kit. I blooming love that kit.

Right, time to move my booty!!! I need a cuppa and some brekkie!!! Thank you for popping in on me, huge hugs Lou xxx

A little box of bunnies!!...........

Morning everyone!!

I'm in with my Swedish Housecrafts DT post for you today and I decided to just have me time fun make for this one!!

I have had these super sweet little Magnolia stamps It's Springtime Sweet Rabbits .since I got my fabulous springtime collection last year. They are just the sweetest little bunnies and I love the way the smaller one looks up at the bigger one!!

I stamped 4 of them, coloured them all up all cute and bunny-ish and then fussy cut them out.

To get the dimensional 'pop' for them I turned them over on my foam mat and gently rubbed the back of them with the rounded end of my pen.

Then I used a little hot glue to adhere them to the hills inside the box. Look how cute they look!!

I used the Gummiapan Die - Hen's Net to make the 'wire' for the front of the box.

I gave it a good coat with clear embossing ink pad before putting some clear ultra thick embossing enamel on. I set it with my heat gun and the effect is so beautiful!! Here's a closer look at how it came out...
Then it was time to 'embellish' the front of the box a little! I used my Magnolia Doo Hickey Box 14 to cut the little delicate flowers, leaves and pennant out. I used the same rolling my rounded pen on the die cuts to give them some dimension for when I glued them on.
For the pennant, I just finished it off by tying 2 teeny little twine bows and adhered one to each end of the pennant.

I also popped a little adhesive pearl in each of the bigger flowers on the front and inside on the little hills.

Thank you for peeking in!!

I used:

Your Hand...My first DT post for Swedish Housecrafts!!

Morning everyone!!!,

I'm soooooo excitedly typing in with my first Swedish Housecrafts DT post today and I went with using the stunning Pion Design- Images from the past- Your Hand sheet for my make. It has so many beautiful and romantic versions of the hands but I could not resist this one with it's stunning rose heart.

I teamed it up with some older Pion papers from my stash, Vintage Wedding. I love to layer up papers and make them pop by distressing the edges using one of my scissor blades and running it along the edge of the paper to 'fluff' it up like this.....

And tucked in just behind the hands is a gorgeous Sweet Cosy Love- So Wrapped Lovely Doo Hickey die cut. This die is just so beautiful and super for just adding a little more detail to your card. I love to add some twine to it and then pull the fibres apart so it looks all pretty and floofy woofy....

And to finish off the the little corners that looked a little lonely without embellishments I added 3 little adhesive pearls. It just lifts the plain-ness a little!!

So thats my uber excited Lou first swedish housecrafts post done!! oh my gosh I've been sitting on my hands for so long with this news!!!

I'm going to crack on with the day now and get a cuppa before I drop off the mini man to school. Have a wonderful day everyone! huge hugs Lou xxxx

Tilda with Little Rudolph..........

Magnolia christmas tree,snowflake border
and large snowflake from Doo Hickey 2.
Hi everyone!!

I'm going out of my brain crazy trying to keep myself busy today while I stalk my postman.............gently crafting away whilst awaiting the lovely plink of my Magnolia Calendar kit through my letterbox....................

I mean it's not like I don't have an abundance of seriously cute Tilda so I decided to stamp up one of my newest additions to my obsession.......one of my newer additions to my collection of magnolia cuteness!!! bwah ha ha ha ha!!! Luckily Suha over at Swedish Housecrafts makes sure she has the older cuteness in as well as all the sparkly new stuff.I know it's an older one but I can't resist the cuteness of the little rudolph on this one!! just look how cute he is close up.....awwwwwwwwwwwww...........
I decided to make a super fun little christmassy wall hanging using the Recipe card Doo Hickey as a base for my sticky on stuffs!!! he he!! a bit of die cutting fun and fussy cutting relaxation (....there was totally none of that "Postman, I am going to snip you if you don't get here soon" thought process going on...I promise.......).

I used some of my Doo Hickey 2 christmas dies to add a little snowflakeyness to the top, tree's for her to be surrounded by and those gorgeous big snowflakes for the hanger part. I tied the strings through the holes on the flakes.

Right, I'm going to go and fetch Mo from school now and hand over stalking duties to Scott who is working from home today (....which is a good job or Mo might of been walking home incase the postman arrived while I was out......!!!!).

Huge friday hugs and thank you for popping in, Lou xxxx
