Get funky halloweeny!!!!!

Hello peeps!!!
well I have a day off with little Mo today. We went out for breakfast and now he is doodling next to me so I am sneaking in a quick post of my halloween card for the get funky october challenge.
I had to wait to do it until scott had rescued my lovely salt and pepper download from anice's funky hand shop.
I decided to use one of the lily-boo's boutique halloweenie girls for it too!! she is so cute! I kept her mostly black and white with just a little pale yellow colour on her stars. I saw an easel card on my lovely friend max's blog and had to give one a go!!
I printed out a piece of paper from my salt and pepper download straight onto a 5x5 card and did my easel folds. The background of the picture bit is cuttlebug embossed on some screwed up and flattented orange cardstock and the little skull holding up the easel is cut out from another piece of the salt and pepper paper I had in my stash of left overs!!! and the little sentiment boo is made up of the little alpha's in the set too. and glued onto a circle of acetate.
I cut my black satin ribbon so it looked a bit jaggedy ont the edges, Mo says it looks like a bat!!!! lol!!!
I will be lucky if I manage to hold onto this card for very long as Mo already has his little eyes on it!!!!!
well that is if he is still talking to me as it is flu jab time again!!! lol!!! in around 20 minutes a very disgruntled Mo will be having his flu jab for his asthma, I feel sorry for him but it helps him to keep out the germies so he has to get it done!! poor chap. I am taking a lolly to soften the blow!!!
see you all soon xxxxxx

wooo-hoooo!!!! i am up and running again!!!

Well a dreaded virus attacked my laptop and stripped it of it log ins so i have spent the last 2 weeks sitting patiently whilst scott loaded everything back on. Luckily he managed to save everything that was in my files by taking out the hard drive!!!!!
I was so worried I had lost everything I haven't been feeling particularly crafty so haven't been up to much really.

I did however have to have a play with a side step card tutorial!! I made one for my happy mail friend mich ( not taken a piccy of that one yet!!) one for dad to give to mum for her birthday and mo and i made one together for the lollipop lady who helps us to cross the road. I love his little pictures and he used his wally roller to make tracks for the car!!! I had to tell him how to spell thankyou but he is only 4!!!!!!!! I am super duper pleased he loves to craft with me, its so nice.
heres mine....

I heat embossed my tilda with copper powder and ran my vellums through my cuttlebug, the scallop is my gorgeous stampin up oval punches and the little flowers are from my stash!!! And here is mo's.......

Awwwwww!!!!!!! so cute!!! look at his little pictures!!! Awwwwwwww!!!!!right, loads to do and catch up with!!!!!

Thank you for popping in!!!!

Dinosaur birthday!!!!

Well its sunday again!!!!! I just don't know where my week has gone !!!
I went t a partylite candle party, the candles smelt soooo good. I didn't get any though as I only had a few pennies so I chose a giraffe safari tealight holder. When it is lit you pop it intoa domed holder and when the candle flickers it looks like the giraffeis walking. Mo will love it.
Then yesterday it was Mo's friends party in a big ondoor play area, he had a fabulous time and was pooped out by the end of the party. His little friend Molly loves dinosaurs and minibeasts and things like that. I had been talking to her mum so knew she would be having a dinosaur cake so I decided to crack out my basic grey archaic paper.

My basic grey archaic collection is one of those paper packs that I have and lovingly stroke the packet every once in a while because I like it soooooo much!!!!! but it was just right for Molly so I opened the packet and put it to use!!!
I cut my cardstock so it was 5.5" x 5.5" and inked the edges brown. I made a base mat with the checked paper and popped a circle cut with my george cart and squished through my cuttlebug with the tiny bubbles folder and inked it with the brown too.
I cut a 1" strip from the sqaure patterned paper and tied a bit of brown organza ribbon around it. I threaded some through one of my matching basic grey archaic buttons and used a big glue dot to stick it to the card. I used some of the alphabet stickers from the pack to spell out molly on the circle and then popped out the little dinosaur sticker. I popped him onto some cardstock left over from the card first and then cut around him to make him a bit stronger. I popped some foam squares on the back of him to pop him out a bit. Mo loved it!!!!

Right, I must get on as I have a bit of laundry to sort out before I can go out to my garage and have a play!!! I have a little book to finish and a wedding card to do as well as a challenge card which I am very excited about!!!!

thankyou for popping in xxxxxx

Christmas baubles!!!

Hello peeps!!!! well the weekend flew by.I had a super weekend, we took little Mo to legoland on saturday and he loved it. He spent a really long time walking around the little model villages! he was amazed by it all. On my way home I hand delivered a happy mail to my friend michelle who lives right near legoland, I have never seen her in person and couldn't stay as we had a 3 hr journey ahead of us to get home but it was so nice to surprise her!!!

Then on sunday my brother and his wife came with my niece and my nephews. Mo is very close to all of his cousins, both my brothers and my sisters children are his "bestest friends"!!!! and always loves to see them.

Then I had a small disaster with my stickles!!! it was so funny because I had had an email from one of my lovely friends saying she had had a problem with her stickles drying!! I decided I needed to use them on my DT card for the gorgeous new bauble collection over on lily-boo's boutique, I wanted to use him in the snowflakes challenge we were having over on the UK crafters thread on the cricut mb.

I popped them on the snowman and left them to dry, 3 hours later they still weren't dry.......4 hours later and yey they were dry .....but they had made the eyes on my snowman run and they had turned a sort of browny colour!!! my snowman looked as if he had been drinking too many snowballs at the christmas party!!!! so hence to say, I had to start again!! Here is the finished effort!!! lol!!!!

So this time I stuck with my promarkers and my shimmer chalks!!!! they are a little bit hard to see in the picture but I popped some versamark all over the bauble when I had finished colouring it and the sky and snowman are all shimmery. I cuttlebigged some co-ordinations blue card with snowflakes on the base mat and swiss dots on the stripe where I popped my spotty ribbon. I inked the edges with a silver cats eye chalk and then foam dotted my bauble on. I made a little bow from the ribbon and popped it on the top of the bauble so it looked tied onto the ribbon.

I have got loads of cards to do this week so I had better get started tonight!!

Don't forget to click on the link and nosey at the bauble collection, its gorgeous!!! The DT have been really busy with them and I need to update the inspirations blog tonight too!!!
Thankyou for popping in xxxxxxx

Autumn card for 2 challenges.

Hello again!!!
This is my card for the new challenge blog my lovely frind Jane has set up, it looks like it is going to be a lot of fun. The autumn theme Jane gave fitted perfectly with the colurs that Tanya put in for the colour challenge over on FCTSC so the 2 came together perfectly.
The verse is so lovely and went very nicely with me birds and swirls embossing folder!!!
I used my new stampin up scallop punch and layered them up with foam dots under each layer and then inked up the edges with some rusty coloured mteallic ink but it looks goldy in the picture!!!!
off to get my tea now , put little mo to bed and then I will get time to have a good blog womble!!!

Over on lily-boo too challenge blog Jane has drawn the most amazing sketch, I loved working with it. I coloured her with christmassy colours with my pro-markers and shimmer chalked her skin and wings. I highlighted her hair with a gold gel pen and coloured the heart gold and popped a layer of glossy accents over it. A litte bit of highlighting and I called her done. I love this fairy, she is so pretty.
