A bit of a different christening card..

 Morning Peeps!!!

How are we all today? good I hope. We are just having a vegging out weekend this weekend because it is RAF Waddington's annual airshow...and we pretty much couldn't get anywhere if we wanted too!! romfl!!!! the traffic is buzzing with huge tailbacks as I look out of my bedroom window!!! but the show is so fantastic. We have been watching the planes arrive all week and they are some very exciting ones...along with some very noisy ones!! the black eagles have been the noisiest so far!!!

So onto my share for today!!! I made this christening card a few weeks ago for my friends gorgeous little girl,Ella. I had been making the traditional kinda cards for everyone else to give her so decided on something a little different from us.
I love christenings because they are just so special. I used my new memory box wreath die and butterfly border die for it, I knew exactly what I wanted to make when I bought the dies from the craft show in the morning before Ella's christening in the afternoon. I love it when a card gets you like that and comes out just as you wanted it too.
I cut the wreath in both white linen paper and my crab apple too nitwits paper ( twice for that one so I could wumpf up the wreath frame around the verse). I then put the white linen one through my printer and printed out the verse and tucked it back into the nitwits paper frame and taped them together.

Then I cut out my butterfly border and added each little butterfly to the frame. My photo isn't that great of the front but I was in such a rush to leave I almost forgot to take any picture at all!! so it was a bit of a click and go! I did remember to lay it down though so you can just about make out the popped up little wings on the butterflies!!
Well, that about it for this morning!! I have some very exciting stamps to play with!! so I am going to indulge myself in those whilst Mo is pootling around. He is having a pj day today (...I was too until I spilt marmalade down my pj top and trousers from my toast...derrrr messy pup!!!)
OOOOOHHHHH!!! and super exciting for me!!! I am featured in the papercrafts Inspirations magazine!! it is out for subscribers already and due in the stores on the 4th July but here's a little piccy of my Mo Manning man card!!!! I cannot tell you how awesome I felt to be asked to share this so I am smiling from ear to ear!! its down at the bottom left of the page!!! squeeeeeeeee!!!!

Have an awesome day everyone and thank you so much for popping in on me!!!

LilyBoo Designs Cats and Dogs Pet Show release...

Morning Peeps!!
How are you all this morning? I am just getting ready for work but I wanted to share a couple of super cute card made with a couple of the digi's from Lilyboo Designs new release!!!
I don't know about you peeps but I am a complete sucker for pets, I just love them, I don't know if its because I have a fur baby myself but I do just love seeing those cards with animals on!!
The papers I used on them are Kim Macfarlane's CardMakers and they are just sooo neat and totally gorgeous, they are all done digitally, layered up with beautiful papers but the best part is that they are just printed out in a single layer so all you need to do is add your image!!!! which is great for quicker makes and for posting as the layers are flat so postage costs won't be so high. How cool is that?!!!

                                    Papers- CardMakers by Kim Macfarlane.
Well, I guess thats me for this morning. I need to go make me and Mo some pack up and get another cup of tea, its so muggy here in Lincoln today, we could do with a really good thunderstorm to clear it all up.
Have an awesome day everyone and thank you for popping in on me

Bit of a different wedding card......

Morning Peeps!!
well its a bit of a different style wedding card from little ole me today!!! I was asked if I could make a wedding card with a special vw camper van on!!!
The camper van in question is called 'suzie sunshine' and the couple who got married are having their honeymoon touring great britain in 'suzie sunshine'. Well, that was just so exciting I wanted to get as much of that as I could onto the wedding card!!!

I think I did ok!!! I found a vintage map of great britain on google which was fabulous as you could see what it was but it was kinda gentle and fuzzy too so the map doesn't scream at you if that makes sense?! I used my inkadinkadoo 'road trip' stamp set for all the camping and word sentiments and then a nifty bit of snipping to my  little LOTV wedding couple and it was done!! You can just about see the acetate heart that is embossed with love language tiny hearts embossing folder.

Right must dasheroo! Mo's little brekkie buddy is here and they want to do some 'magic maze'...which generally means mess but they love it!!! I get a huge sheet of paper out on the table and just let them go for it!!!

Thank you for popping in on me

Fetch a Sketch challenge 27...

Morning Peeps!!!
Well I am so sorry I am so late with popping in with this post today, it seems Mr blogger is not my friend at the minute as this snappy little guy was all scheduled to go for 9am this morning and here he is just floating on by ...with a little help from me at 10:45am!!! grrr!!

It's time for another sketch over on the  Fetch A Sketch challenge blog!  We are also turning One on Wednesday and have a very special post to share with you with lots of prizes so make sure you pop back then to see what we are talking about!

For this next couple of weeks our gorgeous Ruth is your hostess and here is the sketch:

Our sponsor is Bugaboo and they are offering a mahoosive $21 prize to spend at their store!! thankyou Bugaboo!!!

Remember that you can flip the sketch, rotate the sketch, resize it and make any type of project you like with it - as long as we can see the original sketch in your creation we'll be happy!

For my card I used a super cute little freebie that I got a couple of months ago, he looks so happy pootling along on his little boat!!! I coloured him up, gave him some nesti treatment and then added him to one of the Pretty Mix Cardmakers by Kim Macfarlane.  Lucky for me they worked to the sketch so perfectly and all I really needed to add was some organza ribbon, a magnolia sentiment and my little crab!!

My crabby little buddy is going in for a challenge too.....

Right thats is for me this morning!! thank you for popping in on me!

Happy Birthday Copic Marker Europe!!!

 Hello again peeps!!!
its a 2 posts in one day blogathon for me today!! romfl!!! see what happens when hubby and little man go out to the cinema and leave me at home!!!
...I also baked fruit scones, mint crisp and lemon drizzle cupcakes!! yey go me!!!

So I am back to share with you the cards I have made with the digi's from the Copic Marker Europe's 1st Birthday celebration. They were just far too cute not to get out my teeny copic pen collection and join in!! I have...wait for it..... a whopping.....12 copic ciao's!! yup, I know ya'll are bursting laughter right now! but thats it, just 12 and I really enjoyed getting them out again this afternoon.
I was in a mono mood (.....which is a blooming good job really as the copics I have only really allow mono....:) :)

The papers on the first one are papermania portabello road and on the second one below I used one of Kim Macfarlane's  Cardmakers

I printed her out 3 times to get the bits for the balloon to make it 3D!! and just to make you all laugh...this is my pile of copics used....yup...11 of my 12!! he he he!! the only one missing off this piccy is my C1 grey!!!!! see I can achieve 2 cards with my teeny copic collection!!!...though in all honesty I would dearly love some more, especially some oranges and browns.
Right then, that really is all from me today as now I am going to try and settle myself down. I am ridiculously excited because my dad and my little sister are coming over for 3 weeks from their home in the seychelles. I am sat waiting on a call to say they have landed in heathrow...believe looking at the phone and willing it to ring doesn't work!!! he he he he!! I have been trying it all day!!!!!!

Thankyou so much for popping back in on me

Pretty Mix Cardmakers....oooohhh!!!

Afternoon Peeps!!
I hope you are all having a wonderful sunday! We have rain here today...like really heavy rain!!! Mo and Daddy have gone to the cinema to watch 'Pirates' so I  am having a little mummy makes time!! its actually one of my favourite things listening to rain drops plinking on the metal shed just outside my craft room, its so relaxing....though today its more like drums!!! he he he he!!!
I just wanted to share some awesome new papers from Kim over at Cuddly Buddly. They are called 'Pretty Mix Cardmakers' and I cannot tell you how much fun I have been having with them...so I am going to show you instead!!! romfl!!!
Now I don't know about you but the hike in postage prices for the depth of my cards has had quite a knock on effect with the layers I use in cards I know I need to mail and I so love my layers so when I was wombling through the Cuddly Buddly shop a couple of days ago I found these Cardmakers from the delicious Kim Macfarlane (the cards I made with them I will share in a days time when some yummy new digi's are released :) but they were so awesome they got me thinking and I sent a bit of a begging email to Kim for some circley middle ones...and omgosh did she deliver!!!

I added a nesty circled image of the super cute 'Union Jack Love' from my big sisters digi's to the centre and that was all it needed!! all those delicious layers and distressing come with the papers!!! I absolutely adore them!! so I thought I would do a couple more makes with them for you using different digi's because they are just so versatile! I love something that I can use with everything I already have! The next 2 cards use my Tickled Pink digi's that I won from the gorgeous Kellie Winnell. This is the first chance I have had to have a play with them and they are awesome!! I got a huge selection but these 2 little chicks shouted at me to use them first!!! he he he!!!
Union jack love and the 2 cute school pinkettes are popping over to play in the Cardmadfairy's digi days  Girlie challenge.
And here's one last one using one of my fav LOTV images...
I am popping him in the challenge over on the Lili's Little Fairies challenge blog which is Time to play.

Would you believe I made all of these cute cards in just an hour last night?!!! thank you Kim for your hard work on them, they are awesome!!! I even printed them all twice so I could pop the second one on the inside of the card, they look so nice as an inside layer too!!
Thank you for popping in on me!! and sorry to bamboozle ya'll with a zillion piccies.
huge hugs Lou xxxx

an awesome day...

Hello Peeps!!
I am kinda late popping in today but it has just been such a fabulous day I haven't had chance to sit down and type until now!!
Regular visiting peeps to my blog will know that I love the weekend and the reason I love the weekend is because I am at home with Scott and Mo. Of all the things I hold dear they are the best and I love, love, love family days.
Today started off with Mo creating his potato for his school fair Mr.Potato Head competition. I was soooo desperate to get my own potato out of the cupboard and play along because watching him make this 'Gruffato' was just awesome, tongue hanging out of the side of his mouth in concentration and thinking real hard on each part he did, it was lovely. The only bit he needed help on was getting the 'Gruffato' to stand so he could do the purple prickles down his back...which I forgot to take a piccy of...derrr Lou!! so McDonalds coffee stirrers and mummy to the rescue and he was standing!!
The most part of it he made with his magic maze!! its such fantastic stuff and all the colours were just right!! I especially love his nose!!

Whilst Mo was busy doing the 'gruffato' I was busy making a bookmark for my gorgeous little niece, LilyBoo.
She is 7 today and I so wanted to make her something just for her and a bit special so I used my yummy Die-namics dies .. fish tail flags stax die-namics. The roses are made with my Die-namics Mini Royal Rose!! and one of the flowers on my Tim Holtz tattered florals for the leaves. I sat and hand stitched the pink and green felt together, I love stitching, its so relaxing and then I hot glued my roses together and added a little gem to the centre of each one.

I cut 'LILY' out with my Tim Holtz chip block die and attached that with hot glue too. I positioned the roses up at the top so that when Boo has it in a book it won't slip down and loose her page if it falls out.
It had to be pink because the Boo loves pink!! I am entering this bookmark over on the challenge on the Allsorts challenge blog's any die will do.

We plodded off to the school fair and had an awesome time, it was fabulous. We met scott's mum and dad there, had a BBQ lunch and yummy cupcake for pudding and had so much fun wombling around and watching Mo play. He even got locked up in the cell in the police van with nannie!!
Then once we had gotten home we had our first visit from Riley...

awwwww he's soooo cute. I had a deliciously long snuggley with him before he had his bottle and Mo got a snuggle in too!!....of course!!!

Please excuse my scraggy 'been out in the wind for 2.5 hrs and probably shoulda brushed it before Leah arrived' hair!!! Riley is the baby of one of my oldest and dearest friends and I feel so blessed to see her and her partner Roger so happy. Mo has renamed Riley 'Little Rodger'!!

But the best part of my day just has to be this picture below. When we got home from the school fair Mo ran upstairs with some paper and told us we were not allowed to go up until he called us...a few minutes later he called us up to saying " there's a surprise in your bedroom mummy" and this is what greeted us on our bedroom door...

I love this!! complete with twinkling battery lights!! I absolutely adore how this little boy of mine thinks. Its such a simple thing to let someone know you love them yet we so often forget to do it so I am blessed to have a little guy who lets us know in the best ways. I think my bedroom door will remain like this for a very long time...though I just know he will steal the lights back!!!

So that's me for today! thank you so much for popping in and making it to the end of my happy saturday post!!

Saturated Canary challenge 20- Red,white and blue!!

Image- Roger That from  Saturated canary
Afternoon Peeps!!!

Its time for a new challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog and this week it is one that I am really loving at the moment because it is....
RED,WHITE and BLUE.

I have really been enjoying using some patriotic colours, with the queens jubilee and now  we are getting onto the Olympics its been so much fun!! and of course I am completely spoilt by having these scrumptious  Rainbow Polka Dots papers in my digital stash!!! I love them!! I love dots!!! And oh my gosh... how completely cute is this little chick??!!! she is of course, Roger That from Krista's shop and I think she is just perfect!! she sooo reminds me of me and my sister when we were little as we had walkie talkies, no they were not tin cans..oh noooo I was cool...I had Knight Rider walkie talkies!!! we were told off many a night for chattering away on them! man, we thought we were being quiet!! romfl!!!

I am definitely in funky hair colour mode at the minute!! she neeeeeded red hair!! he he he!!! and I kept in with the red, white and blue for her clothes too, I love her sneakers, I want some!!! I added some glossy accents to her little glasses and then made a cute little pennant with my SU stamps and punches. I had some flowers left over (..I make them in little batches!! I just know I am not the only person who does that.....right...?!!!) so I popped a few on to finish it all off and hey presto! cute cute cute!!!

I have been playing with trying to get a little watercolour effect on the edges of my colouring recently by using my blending pen to kinda push colours around to soften the edges, do you think I am getting there with it? I hope so because it looks so pretty!!!

So, please don't forget to pop in on my other gorgeous Teamies over on the Saturated Canary Challenge blog. And if you want to join in with the challenge You must use either a Saturated Canary Digi or a Simply Sassy rubber stamp.

Thank you for popping in on me!

Sweet Treat Wryn......

Image- Sweet Treat Wryn from Tiddly Inks
Papers- Shabby Saturday from Funky Hand.
Evening Peeps!!
yup, me again!! 2 posts in one day!!! lol!!! you can blame it all on those girls from Die-ing for a challenge for a yummy colour combo challenge of pink and green and those girls from designed to color for a yummy sketch!!! oh and not to mention that minx Christy Croll for filling my inbox with such yummy new wryn's this week!!!!

The sun was shining and I was in a card making mood today. I actually got 4 cards made today! yey go me!!!!
I adore this wryn and the papers from Funky Hand made the colour challenge so easy to play with, they are just so delicious, I love the text one with all it happy little sentiments, everyone needs a good blob of happy!!

Wryn even came with 2 cute sentiments so I used one for inside the card, cut with my fabulous new fish tail flags stax die-namics. The roses are made with my Die-namics Mini Royal Rose!! and I even used my gorgeous prize from Tracy at Dies to Die for, its the  Notched Border  die-namics and I really love it, it just perks up little borders so nicely.

I fancied a funky wryn so she got pink hair too!! I love it!! I swing between needing pink hair and teal hair myself but my natural colour is black so it would last a whole 2 days if I dyed it that light (Lou makes note...will wait until I am 60 and all white haired then get myself all funky!!!)

Here's a piccy of inside....
and here's a little pile-o-pens....
So I promise thats it from me tonight!!!! I am going to go and play with some super yummy new stamps that plopped through my letterbox yesterday...oooooh they are ....AWESOME!!!!! they are not out for release quite yet but omgosh when they are you definitely need them!!!! :) :)
thank you for popping back in on me, I do love every comment you guys leave me, they really do brighten up my day oodles.
huge hugs Lou xxx

Just one won't hurt....:)

Morning Peeps!!!
Its a beautiful sunny more here and Mo and his breakfast buddy are having lots of fun playing in the garden with action man and the paddling pool!!! so I thought I would get my Cuddly Buddly DT post of the week done while they are busy!!

yesterday I just couldn't resist having a play with this beautiful template by helen, its just adorable!!! and it was so lovely to make too. Everything you need comes in the download, all I added was the tim holtz vintage lace border, some raffia, some strips of acetate for my little stars to sit on and a little red jingley bell for the drawer pull.

There's a few piccies because I took 23 trying to get a good piccy of it!!! easel cards are hard at the best of times and the air was a little shade of blue in my craft room trying to get a good one for you I can tell you!!! romfl!!!!

I added a few dots of starburst stickles, berry red and marsh green promarker around the bear to add some chrimbley sparkle!!
Here's a little side view to try and show the layers of the decoupaged little bear and pressie's topper
Its such a wonderful little template!! too cute and perfect for popping a special chrimbles pressie in. I was going to fill it with giant choccy buttons....only I ate them during the making so I filled it with some lovely red tissue paper instead...:) :)

Off to make some pack up for Mo now and sneak in a cuppa!!
thank you for popping in to see me!!

Morning Peeps!!
wohooooo!! I am back!!!! oh boy have I felt rough! thank you so very much for all my lovely messages while I have been poorly. I picked up a huge lot on sunday and had an awesome fathers day with these 2 gorgeous guys...
..now these guys are enough to cheer any mamma up! I won some tickets to a wings and wheels airshow just down the road from our home and had an absolutely awesome day. I had to pop some tissue in my sore ear after about 10 mins outside but once it was in and the painkillers kicked in I was good to go again!! Mo loved watching the planes and even won a new cuddly dog too so it couldn't of been a better day for him!!!

Anywhoo!! onto this weeks Tiddly Inks challenge!! this week the Tiddly Inkers want to see some.....
 Pink!!

Oooooh!! I loved making this card so much. I absolutely adore the Baby Inks department in the Tiddly Inks shop and the Little Somethings Christy drew a while ago and I knew this Little Squeaker would be just perfect for a christening card I needed to make. I teamed her up with some yummy papers from Funky Hand called Shabby Saturday. they are just delicious together aren't they!!

The texture on her little suit was done with my trusty bit of old denim ( the thick type) and my blender pen, I love the effect of cuddliness it gives.

And ooooooooh!! my new favourite die, Die-namics Mini Royal Rose from Dies to Die for!! I love this die sooo much!!! it might get worn out soon!! romfl!!! the roses on this card are made with the larger size of the 2 dies and ooooh!! just ooohhhh!!!
And even more exciting than my new die is......New Wryns!!! oooh we love new Wryns and Christy has spoilt us with 2 new Wryn's this week!! squeeee!!!

Lack of bloggyness...

Morning Peeps,
Just a quicky to apologise for my lack of bloggyness but I have an icky ear infection plus the joys of the runny tummy that antibiotics give you so my mojo has kinda run away. Trying to pop in on you all but its taking me forever commenting on bloggy's and facebook on my phone in bed!!
Hoping to feel a bit better soon and mornings are always the worst when you are poorly anyway so might fell a bit more umpfhy later!!!

Baby Booties...

Morning Peeps!!
I am wombling into bloggy land with my Cuddly buddly DT card for the week!! and oooh its so cute!! I love these little booties and this card is for a special little gelfling. He is the new arrival of one of my oldest and most fabulous friends and he is soooooo cute! I have yet to meet him because he has been  so busy meeting all of his new family and friends but I will get to snuggley soon!!!

I was spoilt for choice on my little womble to Barbara- Anne's section of the shop, but I eventually decided on these little booties, the ticket sentiments and the yummy seaside colour papers ( all linkies above!!)

I coloured up the little booties with my promarkers and gave them some texture using a trick Da boss from Saturated Canary taught me!! here's a linky to the post where Krista explained how she did it. I used my promarkers so just swap out the copic blender for the promarker blender if you are a promarker chick like me!!! I wanted a real gentle texture on these soft little booties so I pressed down real gently. I added some white gel pen dots to the bows too to bring in the dots on the blue backing papers.

I made the dummy real teeny so I could make it into a charm for the bow, I LOVE how it came out! I sewed it on with some thread and then ran the thread along my fingernail to make it ruffle, a bit like you do scissor blade on paper or curling ribbon (...Lou imagines self as cat woman with razor sharp nails...and a leather catsuit...and the figure to go with it......!!!)

Right, Mo's brekkie buddy will be here soon and I need to get dressed!! cuppa here I come!!
Thank you for popping in on me
Huge hugs

Sentiment- Kims 12 Round greetings from Cuddly Buddly

Morning Peeps!!
How are we all today? me, I am holding out for good weather as it is little mo's sports day (....mo however is holding out for rain as he doesn't enjoy sports day at all, he doesn't like all the grown ups that come to watch and he gets all nervous! he asked if just me and daddy could go!! lol!!)

So my card today is a bit of a man card!! perfect for those daddies, grandads and uncles out there!! and it took me ages to decide which super cute little stamp to use too!! there were too many yummy ones over in the Lilyboo Designs page over at Cuddly buddly!!!

I had some of kims yummy papers left over from my little bear card last week so I put them to good use and layered them up, adding some faux stitching inspired by Debs post on her blog yesterday!!

So this little guy is going in for a few challenges.....
Cutie pie challenge blogs- real or faux stitching
Passion for promarkers- lots of layers
Cupcake craft challenge blogs- Red,white and blue

and heres a pile-o-pens!!

I am off to play for a couple of hours in my craft room before I got to sports day, we have the dentists today too (....ack, I don't do dentists!!) and I have some yummy new Dienamics dies to play with!! (...already had a little play this morning, was mucho funno!!! made a little headband for mo's breakfast buddy, sophia!! who,of course, picked pink felt for her roses!!) she had to wear it for nursery so I had to quickly take a piccy as we went to the car!! romfl!! well, a girl neeeeds her headband!!!
Thank you for popping in on me!!
