Image- Naunet.
Morning everyone!!
Happy Monday!! I'm in with my Dream Team post for you today with a super sweet mermaid image. I really, really wanted to get a Mermaid done for me and on Sunday I grabbed my crafty time and ran with it!!!
But Naunet is just the sweetest with her little band of fishy friends around her. I love it. I printed her out and coloured her up in my happy little dreamy colouring world! I do so love a good crafty day.
I decided to get out my gorgeous blending chalks to do the background. I haven't used them in such a long while but they leave the most beautiful effect. And then for extra fun, I decided to have a quick spray with glitter and then add a shiney spray to the top to fix the chalk.
I cut a couple of seaweed fronds from one of my old Magnolia Doo Hickey sets and the little wave border is from it too. The little shells are the teeny weeny ones I love to pick up when we go to the beach. There is nothing nicer than digging around for these. They look so sweet on cards and projects and all they need is a little hot glue to adhere them in place.
The sentiment is from old paper smooches set but I love it! It's such a fun twist on Best Wishes for a birthday card and perfect for this one with those little fishy friends.
Right, I need to get my workout done, these old bones don't get fit by themselves! It's hard work but I still think it's worth every bead of sweat to get as fit as I can after a couple of years worth of operations and cancer treatment! It takes its toll so you have to really work to get yourself back to where you want to be. I'm so lucky though. It totally gave me the push to keep going and get myself in much better shape than I was before cancer hit! he he!!
Thank you for popping in, Hugs Lou xx
