Tiddly Inks challenge 79- Special valentine!

Morning Peeps!!
Its that Tiddlying Time of the week again over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog!! and this week the Tiddly Inkers have set you a gorgeous challenge. I really enjoyed this one because it is about one of my favourite things........
Love!!!!

so all you need to do is grab your Tiddly Inks images and create a special valentine's card for someone you love, it can be anyone, your partner, son, daughter, Aunt, BF......Vin Diesel, Gerrard Butler, Edward, Jacob, Jude Law, Robert Downey Jnr........ :)

ooops, I think I got lost there a minute...:) back onto the card stuff......:)

I used the super adorable Silver Valentine for my card, she has the teensiest bit of colouring ever!! Iused my promarkers and she has cool grey 1 just on the inside lines and her cute little heart is poppy, crimson and cardinal red!!!
I teamed her up with some nitwits papers. I made a layout for my card front and inside and made up a cute sentiment to go with her using my PSP and then merged silver onto the layout for the front of the card. I love this Tail Wags set, its got some gorgeous effects in it, check out the inside of the card below....
This card will be going to my little Holly dog for valentines day. She has had a really bad couple of nights and days with kennel cough :(  It started at 11:30pm on sunday night, poor little pickle. We got her to the vets asap yesterday morning and have got some antibiotics so I am hoping she will pick up a little bit today now they have been in her system for 24 hrs. I must admit to being very proud of her though as she was a star in the vets and even the vet thought she was lovely and said we had done so well to find her. He said she is around 3 years old which is lovely to know too.

Challenges I am entering with this card are...
Allsorts challenge - 1 or more hearts
Paper sundaes- valentine
The craft pad- show some love
one stitch at a time- Use a digi
The corrosive challenge blogs- I heart you

And....major squeeeeee....did you know this little gorgeous new little Wryn has been released today and I am a super proud mamma as my very own gorgeous Little Mo asked for this Wryn!! he had a few ideas and I sent them straight to Christy and Wryn and Mo- I love you most  is the result!! Mo absolutely adores this stamp and he has been doing a little happy dance around the room when he saw it on Christy's blog with a little mention for him!! bless him!! anyway..here she is......
She comes with the cutest sentiment too.

So right now I am snuggled up with my little prince and my little princess. we are in complete routine denial and I feel like we could snuggle here for ages! Mo and I are plomped on Holly's bed with her!! its a lovely big bed and she has her head on Mo's knee and her paws on me!! Mornings like these totally rock!! Tonight I start my ALPHA course and I can't wait......though I am completely nervous of course !!!!

Don't forget to pop on over to see what the rest of those gorgeous Tiddly Inkers have been up to over on the challenge blog, they are just soooo good and all so loved up!!! :)

A boy card.....!!

Evening peeps!!
Well, I was a chick on a mission this morning and I had a plan of craftiness......then the phonecalls started of people wanting to come and meet my gorgeous girly and ....yup crafty time went out the window...!!! awww but she is soooo worth it!! (...and might I add, she has had more visitors here today than I normally get in a whole year!!! he he he he!!!!)

Once the Holly visitors had gone, we just had time for lunch before we all went to freeze ourselves silly watching Ryan play football...Little Mo and I had a cunning plan though...we would keep warm for the 2 hours of football by walking the gorgeous girl around the park across the road from Ryan's football pitch. Its called Hartsholme Park and is beautiful. We all loved it. Holly was an absolute star with all the other zillions of doggies enjoying a freezy sunday stroll and Little Mo was mezmorized by the mahoosive lake of frozen water with ducks, geese and seagulls walking across the top of it!!! we also caught the last 10 mins of Ryan's football match, which was a 7-1 win for Ryan's team so a perfick day for us all!!!

Anywhoo, onto my card!! I sneaked out to my craft room (...mmmm well, I say sneaked but I was followed by one Holly dog who kept me company by sprawling out to sleep on my craft room floor! it is so lovely to have some company out there at night agani since my beautiful Zaky went to sleep).
I had printed out my stunning star paper. Its a Freebie from Anice at Funkyhand. She made it for the January Blues challenge and I absolutely love it! you can find a linky to it HERE

I had 2 challenges I really wanted to join in with. they were...
Here's the sketch, I love it!
Does anyone else fear the 'boy cards'... I do, I am 100% pants at them so when I saw the awesome sketch over on FAS I was sooooo relieved!! I know I only needed to use the layout of it but those stars just inspired me completely ( thank you girlies xxxx)

I cut my stars out on my trusty cricut with a nice little shadow behind them and then stamped my little rope swinging boy straight onto the star shape. It looks so cute. I coloured him up with my promarkers and then stuck them all down onto my gorgeous starry blue paper. The little 'buttons' on the stars are made using a couple of card candies!! I just poked some thread through them with a needle. The little 'happy birthday' is from a LOTV too.

So I think thats me for today!! I am sooo sleepy after 2 huge walks with Holly but I feel really good for getting some proper exercise again!! I have lost 10lbs so far this month so I really needed a bit of an add to the daily routine to keep it all moving off!!!

Right off to watch Wild at Heart now!

Our new little girly- Holly

Ok, so I know she is not a card or something crafty but this is our beautiful new dog. She is a yellow lab and we got her from the rescue kennels. Little Mo has named her and she is called Holly.
They think she is between 2-5 but we will know more when we have taken her to the vets for a good check over next week.
She is so gentle and as I type she is snoring away after a busy day of walking, popping to pets at home for some spoiling and a new bed and toys, more walking and playing and to her disgruntlement ...a bath!! though to be very fair she was an absolute star once she had gotten into it!!

Here she is all sleepy and snory, bless her!! check out the polka dot collar!! I almost squeeed when I saw it!! I love me some polka dots! The little bunny is a toy she has carried everywhere with her since Claudia gave it to her this afternoon! cuuuute!!

So tomorrow I might be back with something crafty!! ...then again..this little lady is soooooo cute I might actually be doing a lot more playing!!! :)

Promarkers- blush, soft peach & peach

Antique pink, cocktail pink & pastel pink
Sandstone, caramel & burnt sienna
Pastel blue,denim blue,china blue & midnight blue
Evening Peeps!!
I have had a busy but lovely day at work today. Little Mo was tired out and fell asleep snoring as soon as we had had our bath so I pootled out to my crafty room and decided to get my ATC done for this weeks Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge. Its fairytales/nursery rhymes this week and I just had to use the gorgeous Queen of Hearts to do mine. I used to love this nursery rhyme when I was little, I was always bemused as to why the Queen was doing her own baking! I could never picture a Queen baking tarts!! lol !!

I was going to colour her red and then I decided I wanted to match her into the nitwits paper I had merged her onto. I cut my kraft card to 2.5"x3.5" and then trimmed my patterned paper with her on so a lovely edge of kraft would show. I am really enjoying a weekly pootle into ATC land so huge thank you's to Jenn and her fabby team for getting me going on them again! xxx

Here's a piccy so you can read the rhyme a bit better but I know you all know it off by heart really!!
Well that's me for today. I am going to snuggle up on the settee and watch Van Helsing now (mmmmm....Hugh Jackman.....) with Scott (....who is probably thinking mmmmm...kate beckinsale and Lady vampyres...!!) and have a lovely cuppa!!

thankyou for popping in on me

Alice in wonderland!

 Images....Alice time for tea
keys from Key paper set
Alice quote from good old google search!
Afternoon Peeps!!!
How are you all today? I am good! I have had a very productive morning!!
I cleaned out my craft desk ( 2 bags of rubbish later I was able to see the surface....3 bags later and there appeared my 8ft craft desk!!!) got 2 loads of washing done, sent a couple of emails, and made 3 cards!! go me!!!!

The card I am sharing today is the card I finished off this morning. I needed the glossy accents to dry on my "painting the roses red" roses (..Ha see ya'll are going to sing that all night now aren't you????!!) I loved that bit, they are my fav bit of the card along with the cute little 'made out of a cocktail stick' paintbrush!!

Here's a close up of their wet look red paintyness...:) love it!!!!
I am popping this card over on the challenge on papertake weekly this week which is Happy highlights. I just love how glossy accents changes the look of things, these roses still look drippy wet!!

The teacup on my card is a long gone freebie that Christy from Tiddly Inks gave us a while ago. I just cut a little slit and tucked the tag in, cute! I printed the grunge checkerboard paper straight onto my base and then everything else went on top of it.

This card is for my friend at work, I hope she likes it!!!

Well, I need to get Mo's tea in the oven now before I go fetch him from lego club, he always comes home sooo hungry when he's been at an afterschool club!!!

My earliest childhood memory....

Morning peeps!!
How is everyone this cold, grey and wet morning?!!! great I hope!!! I am frozen!! I am sat in my jeans, top and fleecey jumper with the heating on and my wheaty bag which either means its freezing cold or I am getting a cold, I am hopeful of it being the weather as i just don't fancy a cold this week!!! :)

Anywhoo!! onto my little creation for today!! (....grrrr which I started last night but the base coat of paint on the journal page refused to dry.....cue lou and her heat gun this morning....8 mins of drying whilst singing along to Sheryl Crow........sorted!!! lol!!)
My poor little art journal has been shouting me from under the pile of papers and mess on my craft desk for a couple of weeks now and I just has to pull it out and get busy last night.

My earliest childhood memory is that of a huge need to want to hold a small, wild bird! I was so obsessed with them because my grandad had nursed a robin back to health from a broken leg and it regularly came back to be fed. When Christy, from Tiddly Inks, released Wryn and Wren I couldn't believe it and I was pulled to her straight away. I wanted a bright and cheery page so coloured her in to match my papers. The tree is a little extra pressie that Tracy from Dies to Die for had tucked in my envelope when she posted my order before christmas. I  love it and have been holding onto it for a special something and this page was it!!!

I added a couple of hearts and I wanted to stamp the word 'memories ' on it so I could journal underneath. Now I wanted a shadow underneath and had to think about how to do it for a few mins! 3 mins and a scratched head later and I had got it! my stamp is a clear one so I inked it up with brown ink and gave it a good squish down onto the hearts which squooshed it out. Then I stamped gently over the top with some black ink on the stamp! yey!!
I typed out my journalling (..man my handwriting is so icky, you don't all need to be tortured by that!!)in word and then distressed it a bit with some tea dye before roughing up the edges and doing it again!!
The journalling bit incase ya'll want to read it!!

I have to say I love this page!!  I am popping it in over on the CES challenge blogs Anything but a card challenge.
now onto my Sheryl Crow song. This is one of my favourite songs by Sheryl. I know everyone has different thoughts on a songs meaning but this song for me reminds me of  how I can sometimes get with my prayers. I feel that sometimes I forget about the big picture and only turn to God for a chat when I am struggling, I am going to sort that out this year! I start my Alpha course next Tuesday night. Mo on the other hand is more switched on than his mum, he says "goodnight and thank you for a lovely day" to God every night and I never have to remind him or tell him what to say, he puts me to shame! last night he asked God to keep the dog we are hoping to bring home from the rescue kennels on Saturday lovely and warm because it was a cold night, awwww!! she is a yellow lab and adorable so keep your fingers crossed for us!!
Here's the song by Sheryl Crow if you want to listen, we don't need to get the same message from it but it is a beautiful song all the same....

Thankyou for popping in on me, huge hugs Lou xxxxxxx
