Skull Cave!! Happy Halloween!!

 Afternoon peeps!!
This morning there was a little bit of a disaster here in our house!! Little Mo and I went out to fetch the jack sparrow pumpkin and shock horror....it had gone horribly mouldy!! arghhhhhhhh!!!!
So off went Little Mo to school and I had to remedy the Jack disaster!! I decided to go for a skull cave scene this time so that there was a skull behind Jack and master gibbs!! too much fun!!!!!

I kept the bit I chopped off to scoop out the pumpkin and turned it into a creepy rope walk into the cave.
Lights off for the dark piccy!!!
Inside skull cave there is a bit of marshmallow toasting going on!!!
Then I spent the rest of the morning decorating the spooky walk Scott and I made yesterday. I am not quite finished yet, just a couple of lights to pop out there and the pumpkins on the lawn but I think Mo will love it!
The pot is where our little skeleton with a sensor in is going to sit, he wriggles like a windchime when walked past! its a school night though so it will all be coming down at 6:30pm and hopefully Mo won't get woken up every 5 mins by people coming to the door!!
Scott will be at work until 5pm so I am hoping he will make it home in time to walk around with us! glo sticks are at the ready!!!
Mo is going to be a little ghosty tonight, he only wanted a sheet on so I made him a little suit out of a pillowcase! he is going to pop his thermals on under that and its quite warm here today, grey but warm, though there were a few sprinkkles of rain when I took the piccy of the door......
Anywhoo, better go get Mo from school!!

Gothica

Afternoon peeps!!!

Well, its been a bit of a mooching day today. The car we thought was fixed when Scott picked up from the garage wasn't fixed at all by the time he had got to the petrol station and noticed the line of oil that had followed him there.........

So I have cheered myself up by sitting in my crafty room with mo ( who was very extremely busy looking for bruno mars songs on youtube......) and I have indulged myself in making a card following a few challenges. There's nothing like a challenge to cheer you up!!!!
They are....

Saturated canary challenge blogs Stitching challenge. - I love stitching by hand, it relaxes me so much which I needed today.....:).....little edit ...ooops missed the end of the challenge :) :) !!!

I used my Gothica digi I bought a couple of weeks ago and hadn't had chance to play with yet. Mo thinks she looks funky!!

I decided she needed some cogs and pretty paper to make a bit of a shabby chic kinda card!!! The little cog stamp is from my sense of time SU stamp set. The little tag is an epoxy one I got in a memory makers stash from TKMaxx ages ago, I love them!!!

Oh and before I forget here is a quick piccy of Little Mo and his cousin Lily-Boo yesterday!! I love this piccy!!!

Mo looked after Lily-Boo so well!! he kept asking if she was OK and helping her to do everything, it was sooooo cute! I wish I had videoed some for cuteness!!!

Have a fabby night peeps!!
Huge hugs

Trick or Treat, smell my feet- Autumn Get Funky.

Morning peeps!!!!
Here I am this morning with my little make for....

I decided to get my monthly scrap page done with this challenge and had a lot of help from my little Harry Potter wizard, Mo !!!!

I used some a delicious selection of papers from the Orange October colour way on the Craft The Year Away papercraft factory, armed with the sketch from our very own gorgeous Kathy for the placement of everything of my page.

Then in came the help from little mo! he wrote his favourite halloween chant on the layout with a white gel pen! If you can't read it, it says "Trick or Treat, smell my feet" he also wrote the year on the piccy on the gravestone! I doodled some stitches (........which Mo decided looked like "scribbley boney stitches" !!!!).
There is some very nice pretend spider web around Mo and I added a nice big plastic spider to a nestified circle of a bit of paper that was left from the background of the page.

So, there is still plenty of time for you to join in with our Autumn fun.The rules are super easy, Your project can be anything but remember......

YOU MUST INCLUDE AT LEAST ONE FUNKY HAND PRODUCT.

Don't worry if you don't own any Funky Hand cd's or downloads yet as Anice has made us a fabulous Funky Freebie for you to join in with. I can't wait to see what you all make!!!

Huge hugs Lou xxxxx

Tiddly Inks Challenge 70- Silvery Blues.

Image-  Harmony at home from Tiddly Inks.

Morning Peeps!!!
Its Tuesday morning and I love Tuesdays because it means its time for a super fun new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog!! and this week we are changing the seasons a bit with a fun colour challenge.

You can create any kind of project you'd like but just remember to use any variation of the colours below and a Tiddly Inks image.

If you don't have any Tiddly images yet, you are missing out on some awesome and fun digi images! but don't worry because Christy has a few cute little freebies HERE and HERE for you to get and join in with the fun.

I fancied getting a bit christmassy for my creation and used Harmony At Home. I adore this little street of houses, I think the text on them is absolutely magical. I used silver mirri card for my card base. The starry night sky I made in my paintshop. I used a gradient background and chose a palette of dark blue, light blue and a silvery grey. My little street of houses is popped out on foam and then mounted onto light blue and black card, then onto the card base.
Its really hard to make out in the photo but I coloured all the hearts in with a denim blue promarker and the actual doors with a starburst sakura pen, then glossy accents on. They look so cute!!

Now I wouldn't be me if I didn't help you find the gorgeous new Tiddlies over in the shop :) so this week we have.......

All you need to do is click on the piccy and it will take you straight to their little homes in the Tiddly Inks shop!!  I am sooo helpful for you right?!!!!!!  :) :) Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog to see my awesome tiddly teamies creations to get you going!!

So thats me for today!! Little Mo and i have some company today as our Lily-Boo is coming to play with us for the day. My big sis and her hubby are off on their once yearly child free day for my sisters birthday treat!! Her birthday is on sunday so I hope they have a wonderful day.

Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Have a quacking first christmas!!

Morning peeps!!!

Its a beautiful sunny day here ( ....thought there is a whiffy farm air smell in the air too which is not so nice!!!) and I had lots of plans for making this morning....then I turned on my google reader and saw the new challenge over on the cupcake challenge blog- Denim and Lace !!!  needless to say I just had to have a play with my new little Danny's Duck from Tiddly Inks. His super cute little starry romper suit is made with some star paper that christy had as a feebie a long time ago.

I also decided that I would go for real denim!! I had a pair of gorgeous thin jeans that I wore and wore (...right up until they wore out and my pants were showing!!! ) I gave them a good trim and ran the square through my creatopia with the fabric cart in and then stuck them onto the front of my card, I think its lovely. Its a very touchy feely kinda card!!! I love the beige and blue lace together.

I made the sentiment in word and added it to a nestied bit of jeans!! then I coloured some white plastic snowflakes with my denim blue promarker to match the rest of the card. I added tea dye distress ink to all my edges and the ground for Danny and his super cute duck to walk along too.

So thats me for today!!  Hope you all have fabby days planned!!
Huge hugs Lou xxx

Sunday Pumpkin Fun!!!

Hello Peeps!!!

Sunday is funday in our little house and Little Mo and I decided we needed to make another pumpkin today!!
I fancied trying something a bit different so we decided to make a scene in a pumpkin!!!

We scooped out all the pumpkin goop inside (...then Little Mo deserted me and went outside to play with some wood Daddy was sawing up for him....) and then I got busy with some twigs and a candle for a camp fire and then Scott raided Little Mo's lego box for some lego men!! he came back with a whole bunch of them but I picked out Jack Sparrow and Master Gibbs as Mo loves his pirates films!!

Here they are toasting their marshmallows!!
I added a spooky web and spider around the 'cave' entrance and I  have to admit that this pumpkin has had us all giggling since I finished it!!
I think my favourite day of the week at the moment is a sunday, when we are all at home together just goofing around!!! as I type this Little Mo and Daddy are playing Rock Band together on the PS3! lots more giggling of course!!! this sort of day makes me feel all warm and gooey and so, so very thankful for my family.

I have also been making a few cards but you can't peek at them yet!! They are from the new Funky Hand Papercraft factory, Twelve Crafters Crafting. But to  cheer you all up don't forget Anice is having a sale on EVERYTHING FUNKY HAND BRANDED over in the Funky Hand shop, click the little piccy below if you fancy a fantastic deal with Free postage on orders over £10, WORLD WIDE :)  :)  :)
Right then, off to go play now!!
Huge hugs and thank you for popping in on me :)

LOTV challenge.

Morning peeps!!!
Its been a bit quiet in Lou bloggy land this week as I have been at work a lot this week!! I got a card order in on tuesday though that needed to be ready for friday so I had to motor on with that one quick!!!

I was so pleased when I opened up my blog reader this morning and saw the LOTV challenge for this  week as I had gotten a good row of the bingo to be able to join in with their new challenge.
I chose the Distressing, Flowers and Paper piecing row (mmmmm, when I look I could of gone for the Gems, Charms and Embossing row with my homemade 40 charm tag and my pearly bling on the corner!!) Its a 40th birthday card. I heat embossed my little fairy with some fine gold embossing powder so she would match the raised effect of the paper. The little rose was white so I coloured it up with matching promarkers that I used on my little fairy ( burnt orange and ginger) and then added a little bit of bling. The fronds are of course martha stewart, I ran my ball embosser over them to pop them up a bit and then pieced them around the corner of my image.

Here's a piccy of the fairy a little closer up, I love the gold heat embossed outline.

Last night Little Mo and I started the great pumpkin carving fun that we have every year! Its big thing in our house. My mum gets pumpkins from her friend so we always have at least 10. Mo made a start on his last night!! He draws on the pumpkin with a pen/pencil and then I cut out the drawing ( making sure I add 'sticks' to the bits that he draws like eyes and noses!!) This one is "a ghosty in a starry sky". I actually adore how he describes things and I love the fact that he loves something as simple as pumpkin carving.
Mo is one of those children that will never go down the spooky aisle in the super market or go into a shop with lots of halloween stuff in the window though he loves our spooky walk on halloween night!! bless him!!
Anyway here is Little Mo pumpkin one.....
"A ghosty in a starry sky"

Too cute!!
Mo is going to his first school disco tonight, he is a bit worried about it but he still wants to have a go at going!! I hope he manages it becuase there is no school tomorrow so he can relax after having a late night as the disco doesn't finish until 7:15pm !!!
Right, off for another busy day at work, Little Mo pack up to make and a load of washing to get on.
Huge hugs Lou xxx

Its tuesday again and that means more Tiddly Inks fun over on the the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and this week its one of my absolute fav times of the year!!! this week we want to see your ....

I used Batty for my cute yet spooky halloween box. My BF and me spent an awesome morning together a while ago making these little boxes and I just knew a little black, spooky one would be lurvely for this halloween tiddly challenge!! If you fancy having a play at making one of these super cute little boxes the tutorial is here over on Silvie's blog.
Here's a bit of a closer peeky at Batty, I think she's fab!!
And here's my little boxey all open.....The spiders inside it crawled off to quick for me to catch them with my camera........!!!

I love those big black gems on the handle, I got them in a RAK from my  lovely friend Kat a few years ago and I love them!!
Oh and the gorgeous "Eat, drink and be scary" word art is from Binty's blog.

Now, while I remember, I have been for a nosey nosey around in the whats new section over on the Tiddly Inks shop and found 2 new and super cute images!!!!!!  Click on the piccies to take you  straight to their cosy little nest in the shop!!!

Happy Winter!!!

Morning peeps!!

I am wombling in late this morning with my bloggy post as we have had a lovely bike ride down to my mum's house to drop off her birthdays cards and present. We stopped off for a quick play at the park on the way home and now I have a pan of pasta cooking so 5 mins to say hi to you all !!!!!!

This card is for a couple of challenges. I used my gorgeous new Winter Ragamuffin from Krista's shop. I am still in some new christmas colours experimenting mode so printed out these delicious papers from Funky Hand, I love love love the swirly one, its so cool!! Oh I nearly forgot!! this is no teeny card, its a whopping 8x8 inches!!

The challenges I am entering are....
The Deconstructed Sketch challenge 23- its a really lovely one peeps so go look and have a go. I am sure Jenn will comment on your cards as soon as she can pick herself up off the floor because I remembered to join in 2 weeks in a row!!!!! :)
and of course...
saturated canary challenge blogs stitching challenge.- you can hopefully see the little runs of false stitching I did with my promarker pen around the layers of paper!! if you can't see it peeps please let me know (....any excuse to colour in another SC digi is good with me :) !!!)

Now it wouldn't be a me post without a little bit of Little Mo handiwork squished in it too so here is Mo's birthday card for nannie!! How cute is that create a critter sheep?????

as you can see, he rather liked to flower sequins in my sequin box, the sheep needed lots apparently....!!! :)
all the papers are funky hand. I know this piccy doesn't look fab but little mo wouldn't let me help him take it and said
" I have to do it by my ownself mummy or I won't be learning it"
so I couldn't argue with that really!!!
Right as much as I would love to waffle on I had better go sort the pasta as 2 hungry males keep asking me when lunch will be cooked!!! I have baking planned for this afternoon too so no doubt they will be back when they smell the banana bread and choccy fudge loaf!!!

Huge hugs

Little Mo, allergies and mo scribbles!!!

 Morning peeps!!!
Its a bit of a mo post this morning as we have had a funny couple of days here! After my post on thursday morning everything went a bit wrong......

What a day!! we wake up and mo is still a bit blotchy but adamant he wants to go to school....ring docs, they cant get him in , grrrrrrrr. I get to school and he looks a little more blotchy so I pop in to chat to the secretary and deputy head. I told them I was a bit worried about the rash but he was his normal self and I cant get him into the docs, they say better not have him at school today so pop to the drop in centre ( doh lou, why didnt i think of that when docs said no??) so I ring work to let them know I might not be a bit late or not in as mo is unwell.ring scott, pick him up on way as he works nr the drop in centre, he drops us of at the centre and drives off to park the car at work.In the drop in centre, awesome lady Dr, I take mo's shirt off and arrrggghhhh the blotches are mahoosive!!! oh my days! says mo is having an allergic reaction to something he has eaten and to keep up with the piriton and if he satrts coughing or wheezing we have to go straight to casualty

....... its gets better though...... get prescritption and go out, ring scott to let him know we are on our way to him at work...he says "hang on baby because i didnt get back to work, the car has died....." arghhhhhhhhhhh  bless him, he had to push it to a safe place and then we had to walk to him at the car and wait for the breakdown truck. they started it and told me not to stop or stall it on the way home as the battery is as flat as a pancake!!!

Anywho, the piccy above is mo just before he went to bed last night, his face was a bit redder then the piccy but he is oodles better this morning on his face. His body still looks a bit yukky but it has definitely gone down.

The little piccies below are the ones he drew really quickly while we were watching 'Eight Below' on thursday night ( that is one lovely film, mo loved it.) Like me ,mo has a stationary addiction and he lurves little jotter pads, he has them all over the house but we don't mind at all because when you flick through them you find notes like these.......

he he he!! I love how he captured my looks and drew a little line through the 's' he didn't like the look of!!!
OMGoodness, I love this one because I totally agree, daddy's snuggles are fine!! ( scott was ever so slightly worried about the bald head though.....:)  )
and Mr. Zaky is our dog. I love this one as Zak and mo have a very special relationship. Zak was not at all keen on ryan when he was little and used to growl at him an awful lot if he went near him. By the time mo was born he had mellowed a little but we were still worried he would do the same with mo. We needn't of worried though as he layed down by mo's moses basket from the second we put mo in it when we got home and hasn't really left his side since.
Right, I had better get myself into gear. I did no crafting at all yesterday as I was just so worn out by everything that I slept!!!
Have a great saturday peeps!! I might be back later with a creation or 2.....
hugs Lou xxxxx

A gorjuss girl for my gorjuss mum!!

Stamp-  Sugar nellie poppy gorjuss girl.

Morning peeps!!
I hope you are all having a fab thursday!! I am off to work in a bit but I had 5 mins so I thought I would share the card I was making for my very special mum yesterday. My mum loves poppies (....and dragons too...but I felt girly!!) so I decided to ink up my poppy gorjuss girl for the first time (yes...she has been in the stroke only box for a while but I really wanted to use her for mum) Its her birthday on sunday so I am ready on time!!!

I chose a selection of papers from Funky Hands Happy Happy birthday papercraft factory, these ones are from the Birthday Gal colourway and I love them.
Then I coloured my gorjuss girl up in the same colours as the papers!! I love doing that!! I also stamped a little bit of magnolia swirl around the edges of her for a bit more yumminess!!!

I have been asked by a couple of people where I buy my ribbon to match my images....the answer is that I don't buy coloured ribbon much anymore. I buy lots of white satin ribbon and to make it match I just colour it with one of the promarkers I have used in the image I am using on that card!!! I just lay it out on my desk and swipe the chubby nib of my promarker along it, if I want it a touch darker I do it twice. It makes things sooooo much easier for matching ribbon up so I hope that answers the question peeps xxxxx

So, onto my squidgy little mo!! his face is still "funny" as he describes it!! He is still his happy jolly self, just a bit tired so hopefully its just a bit of a virusy reaction!!

Have a gorjuss day peeps!!
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Little Miss Sunshine!!

Morning peeps!!
How are we all today? Great I hope!!! I feel like a squillion dollars today because Krista, Owner Saturated Canary Digi's asked me if she could feature some of my cards using her image's over on the Saturated canary challenge blog!! I am so excited and feeling teary but in a very happy way!!!!! Its just so nice to know that people like the little bits you pootle away making in your little crafty rooms (....or converted garages as mine is...!!) Thank you so much Krista xxxxxx

Anywhooo!! happy Lou moment sorted!! now onto my little card. I got an order in for a card at work yesterday, the words were " a best friend card for a birthday" so I came home from work at 1pm, had a cuppa, read some emails and then got to work on this little cutie. I chose Little Miss Sunshine  because she is just such a happy little bean and she makes me smile whenever I use her.

I am joining in with a couple of challenges with this little cutie pie. They are...

the papertake weekly challenge blogs Get Into Shape challenge. All you need to do is use 3 different shapes on your card and your card base can count as one of them. I went for a square, rectangle and circle as my shapes and then with the little scrappies of paper I had left after making the card I used my SU Boho flowers punch and made myself a little flowery corner. Now, my little flowery corner obsession at the moment I am completely blaming on my lovely Pops. Whenever I go wombling over to her blog she has the most beautiful flowery corners. I still need to buy me some wild orchid stash, I am a bit slow on the uptake of buying flowers, but I do love how my little Boho punch flowers come out!!! and on the subject of punches...
the whimsy stamps challenge die cuts and/or punches with my little flowers and punched SU sentiment too.
And my mums craft shop challenges Inspired by a song challenge . My song just has to be "you are my sunshine" with that smile, whose day wouldn't she bring some sunshine into??!!!

Right , off for a cuppa and a biscuit or 2 now...anyone want one ??!!! I am kind of phone watching today as Little Mo woke up with his face looking a bit blotchy and funny. He has gone like that a few times now and the Dr always says its a virus. Poor little Mo has had mummy asking every 5 mins if he feels ok this morning and he kept saying " yes mummy, I can't possibly miss school for a funny face, I don't feel funny I just look funny" he he he he!! he makes me smile so much!! but I still had a quick chat with his teacher to keep a squidge of an eye on him incase he goes downhill later to call me.
Have a fabby day everyone!! huge hugs

Tiddly Inks challenge 68- Boys will be boys !!

Morning Peeps!!
Its that Tiddly Tuesday time of week again and so its time for a fun new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog. This week the Tiddly Inkers want to see your....

I really enjoyed this one. Little Mo is really getting into wall hangings now, his room will soon be covered in them. He loves dressing up and pirates and indians are his absolute favs so off I popped into the depths of my tiddlies and dug out this little treasure of a pirate!! he so cute isn't he?
I printed out 2 maps and mounted one straight onto some thin chipboard then I cut around the shape of the map. I cut the corners off the other map and added them onto the board mounted one with some foam squares ( hard to see in piccy but looks real cute IRL!)

Dread Pirate Dylan also got some foam popping out treatment. The little sign part I made in word and then distressed it and added crackle glaze on top, now can I get a piccy of crackle glaze.......nooooooo but it does look awesome I promise!!!

I added a bit of garden twine for hanging it up and cut out the skull from the compass to add to the knot in the string. Yargghhhhh!!!

Now a sneaky little mo has already snaffled this little treasure, little monkey as I was going to put it away for his birthday!!! He has a huge pirate map that my friend shabba bought for him above his head in his bedroom and he was so excited when he saw the sign for his door mummy couldn't say no!!!!

Right must get a wriggle on as am in work today for an extra day and I haven't even thought pack up yet so better get moving!!!

Have a fabulous Tiddly Tuesday!! Hugs lou xxx

Violet.

Old book pages.
Evening peeps!!!!!

I have had a wonderful day with my hubby today. He had the day off so we went out for breakfast and then spent the rest of the day at home, he pootled around on his big boy pooter and I had a little bit of a make!!!

The challenge I am entering with Violet are....
Bunny Zoe's challenge blog is Lace it Up - the lace is pink and layered at the bottom.
.Craft your passion challenge blogs- a card for all occasions.

Violet is coloured in with darker skin tones as this little card will hopefully be going in the post to my little sister in the seychelles. Both my little sisters and my step mum are dark skinned so I was desperate to have a go with the darker brown promarkers. I think I did OK for a first go, she even has little rosy cheeks too. What do you think peeps? Did I do OK? here is a piccy of my little sis, Colette.
She is 16 now! wow, where did those years go and she is my god daughter too. She looks so grown up and beautiful in this picture, its one of my favourites (...though she might cyber bop me for blogging her!!! hey, thats what big sisters are for right??!!!)

So thats me for tonight. Little Mo has been a little off it tonight so I am hoping now he has settled down to sleep he is OK through the night.

Huge hugs Lou xxx

Pinky birthday and Boo update!!

Hello peeps!!
Its a late one from me tonight I am afraid!! he he !! :)

I had a very indulgent couple of hours spending a few hard saved pennies at the paper craft show, got myself some yummy new background stamps from my lovely friends Ali and Iian and some papers from my lovely friend clare ( ...and clare's mum of course!!!) and had a quick womble with my BF, Fi.

Now onto my card!!! Pinky was my first ever Tiddly Inks digi and she holds a special place in my Tiddliness as she was the start of my journey into my Tiddly Inks obsession and where I met awesome and dear new friends over on the Tiddly Inks pcp page. It also took me on a journey to being a Tiddly Inker on the Tiddly Inks DT which I am so proud of. So out came Pinky to help me make a quick birthday card tonight.

I made the card base in paint shop pro so that I could print it out as one layer (this little card needs to be posted so I didn't want it to be too thick!!) Once I had printed it out I gave the edges a good old distrezz it all treatment, added the ribbon and charm and stuck it onto my card base.

Pinky is coloured with promarkers and then I cut an oval with my nesties and stamped the grid texture on with some white SU ink. I have to say I am in love with my new background stamps!! (Little Mo particularly liked the distressed dots one!!)

Now for a little Lily-Boo update too! She has a good old break at the bottom of her arm. They needed to take her down to theatre to pop her to sleep and have a good old look at it while she couldn't feel pain. It took them an hour to wiggle it all back into place, which they managed to do for now without pins which is fabulous. We will hopefully know a little more on tuesday when she goes back for some more x-rays. Fingers crossed she will be ok but for now she has a mahoosive plaster going right up her arm to her little arm pits, holding her arm at a 45 degree angle and boy its heavy!!!
I was very touched by Mo and Jake yesterday though. Mo promptly burst into tears when he woke up and I told him Boo was hurt and then they both spent the day wondering how she was despite being busy doing boy stuff like playing on big planet little planet 2, watching Bridge over Terebithia (...and yes, I did cry at it....again!) and Fantastic Mr Fox and eating popcorn!! when we went to drop Jake back off when Boo got home, Mo picked 3 "bestest flavours" mini chuppa chop lollies out of his sweetie box "to take to cheer Boo up". I have an awesome family and am very proud of them too.

Right off for bed now!!!

TOMIC- My halloween wall hanging!!

Morning peeps!

Its a bit of a funny day here today. My gorjuss little niece, Lily-boo, has taken a tumble from her bike on the way home from school yesterday :( to make it worse, she has broken her arm in 2 places and as I type away on my potter she is fats asleep in surgery having it fixed :( poor little pickle. So we have Jake ( her big bro) here and Mo is trying to cheer him up with a bit of a play on the PS3, they are playing big planet little planet 2 and a few giggles are erupting from them both so I think its working!!

Onto my crafty share of the day now!!! and its for the Halloween anything but a card challenge over on the TOMIC challenge blog. We lurve halloween in this house so it was fun to make a little spookable wall hanging for little Mo. Now confession time.....this is little Mo's stamp!! he bought it from clare's shop, Cloud 9 in Horncastle, and hasn't used it yet so I bet I will be in a squidge of trouble when he gets this little cutie!! a

The fun halloween papers are from Funky Hands Spooky Dookie download. Its such a fab one for little peeps halloween creations as its funky rather than terribly scary....which Mo wouldn't like hanging on his wall so much!!!!

I lurve my orangey bat material!! how cute is it??!!! my mum bought me it from boyes on wednesday!!! and the spooky web and spiders I bought from the range last weekend, 99p for a bag of web and spiders, bargain!!!!!

Anyway, I am pootling off now and waiting for a call from big sis to see how boo is.

Deconstructed sketch challenge.

Morning peeps!!

This week Tiddly Inks is sponsoring our very own gorgeously talented Jen over on her sketch challenge blog, The Deconstructed Sketch, and I was super excited to join in (...gorgeous sketch and gorgeous images = total fun!!)

I chose an oldie but a goodie from the Tiddly Inks basement store to make my card with. She is called Katrina and I adore her. I teamed her up with the key paper set, also in the basement store and a complete bargain might I add!! :)

I was having a red hair moment again so out came the poppy, cardinal red and burgundy promarkers for some delicious red hair with a few white gel pen highlights, I lurve red hair. A couple of the girls at work have red hair like this and it looks so pretty.

I embossed a piece of vellum for the triangle with my cuttlebug script folder and then distressed it up some!! I coloured her dress in tan, caramel and cocoa to match the walnut stain distress inks in that I used on the key paper. I really like those bits on the paper that stick out where I cut around the keys.
A little line of pearls just finished it all off.

Please pop over to the Deconstructed Sketch blog and see what jen and her awesome DT have made to get you all going!!! and join in for the chance to win some Tiddly pennies!!

I am off to work now, tea is in the slow cooker so I don't need to worry cooking when I get home tonight, yey!!!!

The sketch file- october sketch.

Hello peeps!!

Its a quicky card and a quicky post from me this afternoon!!! I have totally got hump day feeling and am mostly vegging out on the settee with a crafty mag but I just had to have a super quick play at kathy's new sketch over on the sketch file and enter the Truly scrumptious challenge blogs Distressing challenge.

I was feeling experimental decided to go all out distressing with no colouring (...boy that was hard because I just wanted to colour those super cute little ragamuffin girls soooo bad!!) and screwed up my book pages and then distress inked them, punched out some scalloped circles from the pages too and inked them and made them into a yummy little corner flower. I very messily stamped my magnolia swirl around the card base (...yup, my little bloggy watermark is attempting to hide the bit where I was a bit too messy....)
and I scrumpled my ribbon on too. So in a nutshell I am as messy as my desk in my crafting today!! romfl!!!

Now if you fancy joining in with this gorgeous sketch challenge below I can magically ping you there with the click of a piccy...yep, the piccy below....
:) did ya'll ping yourselves there yet?!!!! I know Kathy and her teamies will be very pleased to see you if you do.

So messy me is off to get messy in the kitchen now and make some pasta bolognase  for tea tonight!!

Getting a bit more saturated!!!!!

Papers- Christmas Joy by Mindy Terawasa
sentiment stamp- magnolia

Hello peeps!! me again!!!

I just had to share my quicky make of the day with this adorable digi from Krista over on Saturated Canary. Now this image isn't available in the shop yet. Krista made it specially for Tiets club members (thankyou Krista xx) and I am so proud to of been able to use it. Isn't she just beautiful? I think she is going to be released in a couple of weeks.

I decided that I wanted to use some non-traditional christmas colours so using Tiets sketch ( which might I add had all the measurements on it, thank you so much Tiets!!!) I made up my card base in some of the papers I bought a couple of months ago. I got them from the range and they have been my favourite christmas paper buy ever!!!
Then it was onto fun colouring time!!! I kept to the colours of my card base to colour her in so my promarker choices were pastel green and soft green, pastel pink and antique pink, tan and caramel. Her hair is vanilla, tan and caramel and her skin is blush, soft peach and peach. She has some little hints of white gel pen in there too!!

I am entering this cutie into a couple of challenges. They are...

Thankyou for popping in on me, huge hugs Lou xxxx

Tiddly Inks challenge 67- Use paint on your projects!

and Rainbow Forest from Tiddly Inks.
Morning peeps!!!
Yey!!! Its Tiddly tuesday again and its time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog.
This week we want to see......

 PAINT on your creation
it can be any kind (oil, watercolour, distress ink) or any technique - just paint on it!!!

I decided my little art journal was just the right place to get painty and mixed up some blue metallic acrylic paint. I splodged it all over the pages and left it to dry (....for a couple of days!!!)

I stamped a whole lot of the clock faces from my SU sense of time set all over the pages in faded jeans distress ink. I printed out my Rainbow forest and coloured up my little Time will tell to match the forest! I love her little purple dress. When I had finished colouring them, I tore around the edges, added faded jeans ink to them and added them to my pages with some wet glue.

I did the same to my quote and glued that onto the pages, when they had dried I put crackle accents over them but can I get a good picture of it.....Nooooooo!!!! romfl!!!

Christy has been busy drawing up some christmas cuties and today this adorable little Lilli Claire is new to the shop...go get her..you know you want to!! :) if you click on her you will be magically pinged to her...
So I can't wait for you to go over to the challenge blog and check out the Tiddly Inkers gorgeous creations, there are so many ways to include paint on your project, then get our your tiddlies and get painting!!! and we have a gorgeous new Tiddly Inker too so go and leave pops some comments for me please because she is so talented and fabulous.

Huge Tiddly Hugs!!
