Morning peeps!!!
Its been a bit quiet in Lou bloggy land this week as I have been at work a lot this week!! I got a card order in on tuesday though that needed to be ready for friday so I had to motor on with that one quick!!!
I was so pleased when I opened up my blog reader this morning and saw the LOTV challenge for this week as I had gotten a good row of the bingo to be able to join in with their new challenge.
I chose the Distressing, Flowers and Paper piecing row (mmmmm, when I look I could of gone for the Gems, Charms and Embossing row with my homemade 40 charm tag and my pearly bling on the corner!!) Its a 40th birthday card. I heat embossed my little fairy with some fine gold embossing powder so she would match the raised effect of the paper. The little rose was white so I coloured it up with matching promarkers that I used on my little fairy ( burnt orange and ginger) and then added a little bit of bling. The fronds are of course martha stewart, I ran my ball embosser over them to pop them up a bit and then pieced them around the corner of my image.
Here's a piccy of the fairy a little closer up, I love the gold heat embossed outline.
Last night Little Mo and I started the great pumpkin carving fun that we have every year! Its big thing in our house. My mum gets pumpkins from her friend so we always have at least 10. Mo made a start on his last night!! He draws on the pumpkin with a pen/pencil and then I cut out the drawing ( making sure I add 'sticks' to the bits that he draws like eyes and noses!!) This one is "a ghosty in a starry sky". I actually adore how he describes things and I love the fact that he loves something as simple as pumpkin carving.
Mo is one of those children that will never go down the spooky aisle in the super market or go into a shop with lots of halloween stuff in the window though he loves our spooky walk on halloween night!! bless him!!
Anyway here is Little Mo pumpkin one.....
"A ghosty in a starry sky"
Too cute!!
Mo is going to his first school disco tonight, he is a bit worried about it but he still wants to have a go at going!! I hope he manages it becuase there is no school tomorrow so he can relax after having a late night as the disco doesn't finish until 7:15pm !!!
Right, off for another busy day at work, Little Mo pack up to make and a load of washing to get on.
Huge hugs Lou xxx

Hi Lou, this is one of the prettiest cards I've ever seen; the colours really appeal to me - soooo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBless little Mo, he sounds just like my little granddaughter Molly. She won't go down the scary aisle in the shop either! Last year Asda had a huge cardboard cut out of Frankenstein or something and she was terrified, lol! She's such a little sweetie.
Hope Mo enjoyed the disco!
