I tore a little bit on the right edge and tucked some more polka dots behind it and then added a little twine bow.
I also added a cute bit of Loop Border, I love how that came out! just as loopy as me!! he he he!!! and there are some teeny flowers and fronds just nestling at the bottom of her feet and the sentiment came from the Die-namics Airplane greetings stamp set.

Its another fun challenge showcasing design team member Marlena. I love these challenges and used Marlena's card as a sketch for my creation this week.

So here's Marlena's gorgeous card to inspire you.....
Remember you can use the sketch, the colours or the image for inspiration!!  That leaves this creation wide open.  Please join us using a Tiddly Inks image and you could win a gift certificate to the Tiddly Inks store or possibly be a feature on our Fabulous Friday post!

I used the super cute new Faythe that Christy released earlier this week, I absolutely love her! ( heck, I LOVE everything Christy draws!!!) I teamed her up with some of Christy's papers and went all out christmassy. I have to say I really love her hair, I did it ginger and curly, squee too cute!! Mum bought me the wired ribbin across the centre ages ago and its gorgeously shiny. I embossed the circle of red card behind her with my snowflakes embossing folder and added a little MS branch punch and card candi to make some holly to match the papers.

And to remind you of something exciting for friday too....

Please join the Tiddly Inks crew and the Funky Hand group for a wonderfully fun blog hop!  PRIZES will be available from both companies and their will be a oodles of inspiration!  You can start at Funky Hand orTiddly Inks - so don't forget to join us!!!

Its time for a new challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog and its little ole me setting you all up this month with a little sketcharoonie....
I hope you like it, its very simples because thats how I make my cards!!

I chose Christmas Angel for my card, I just love her and so need to crack on with some chrimblieness now santa time is zooming in!!

Here is a piccy from a different light too so you can see the colours a bit better...
I adore the sparklies though!! its just a little sakura stardust pen but its fab!!!

I used the Die-namics medium leafy flourish to pop behind the little image oval and just tucked some bits over too. The border is my Sweet lovely lace doo hickey die and those yummy papers are from the First Edition Festive Treats pad . I also added a squidge of lace and a charm from my stash draw (....Poppy seized the moment when I opened the draw and stole a pink ball of crochet ribbon too....had great fun chasing her round the garden and rolling up said ball of pink crochet ribbon afterwards.....)

I'll pop back in and add a pile o pens piccy when I have picked Mo up, running out of time due to lazy snooziness!!!!!

Have fun with the sketch and don't forget to join in, You must use either a:
Saturated Canary Digi
Saturated Canary rubber stamp,
or Simply Sassy rubber stamp

ooooh and while I remember please could consider turning off word verification and enabling comment moderation instead please, its so hard to work out those word jumbles and after the 3rd or 4th try I must admit to loosing the will to try again and I don't want to miss commenting on your gorgeous cards/makes.

Tiddly Inks new character....Faythe.

Good Morning peeps!!

I am super excited this morning as I have a new image to show you all from the gorgeously talented Christy Croll of Tiddly Inks. I absolutely love when Christy sends us new images and this one I fell in love with right away, she is called Faythe and is just beautiful and she's today's new release in the Tiddly Inks store :) I get so excited when there's a new character :)

I coloured her up with my promarkers to match the papers I had printed out, these ones are from the Huge Funky Love wordbook download from Funky Hand. Awwwww, Faythe is just so cute!! I just want to squoosh her!! the yummy crocheted flowers were a gift from my gorgeous friend Kat and I have just tucked some martha stewart fronds under them. Did I tell you already that I love Faythe??!!! she so reminds me of my little sisters when they were teeny and my step mom used to do their hair with some special oil to stop it going all frizzy, they looked gorgeous and their hair was so neat and shiney.

I also wanted to let you know that Tiddly Inks and Funky Hand about this...
squeeee! I am so excited because I use my Tiddlies together with my Funky Hand papers so much. Its going to be a lovely little blog hop with yummy prizes from both Christy and Anice for a lucky hopper!!

Right off for a bloggy wombley and a cuppa! its blooming freezing here today so a wheaty bag might be needed too! not for little Mo though...he is snuggled up under my blanket on the settee watching....yup......Harry Potter!!!! romfl!!

Evie and our Harry Potter tour day :)

Morning Peeps!!

I hope you have all had an awesome weekend, I totally did! we went to Harry Potter Studios and it was the best day out. We walked around in awe and drank butterbeer and just loved it, more on that and piccies in a min!!!

My super cute little share for today is Evie and she is just adorable. She has such a fun little pose and face. I just had to try out the designer labels stax 4 Tracy popped in my DTDF DT box, they are such a beautiful shape. I tied a little MME merry and Bright twine around the bottom of it and it looks so cute.

I coloured her up with promarkers, the colours are...

skin- blush,sunkissed pink and coral.
reds- berry red, crimson and burgundy.
greens- pear green, olive green and holly.

I dotted some copic spicas around her and glaze pen too, its so hard to see in the piccy buut it does look so pretty.Inside I popped another piece of the Bo bunny Mistletoe paper and cut a little magnolia doo hickey fence and popped it in on the bottom.

Squeeee!! onto our Harry potter day!!! oh my!! ok, so first I should tell you we totally surprised Mo with this weekend! Scott's mum very kindly bought us the tickets and a night in a hotel nearby for Scott's 40th birthday which was last week so knowing Mo would LOVE it we didn't tell him about it!!

On saturday just after lunch Scott dropped Poppy off at his mums for a nannie sleepover (....never under estimate how tough it is to kiss the furball princess and send her off for a sleep over at nannies...I cried buckets!! daft mummy!!) we told Mo she was going to nannies as we were going to pop out for a drive and were worried she might need a wee while we were out!!!! then once Scott was back we got in the car (clever Daddy sneaked the bags into the boot under a blanket!!)

It was a lovely drive! Mo loved looking out of the car window and thought it was so much fun when we kept saying "lets see whats down this road" !! it was such an adventure for him! When the hotel was near ( I thank the inventors of sat nav...) I told Mo I needed a wee and could we stop for one. He thought a wee in a travel inn would be fabulous and as we walked towards the doors he told us how he would love to stay the night in one and how much fun it would be...so you can imagine how excited he was when after wee's we went to the check in desk to get our room key!!! oh I tell you its these moments that make you melt as a mamma and daddy! he gave us the biggest excited hugs!

Once booked in we headed for the pool and had a great swim, then it was out for tea in the hotel restaurant which he loved. He even wrote a thank you note on the napkin for the chef...then he asked our waitress to take it to the chef, when he got the note he shouted thank you and waved to Mo across the restaurant which Mo loved!! bedtime followed and Mo was out for the count in roughly 2 seconds!!

When we woke up sunday morning we went for another swim and had breakfast then told Mo it was time to go home and we got into the car....we didn't tell him where we were going and as we drove up the the studio's he still didn't quite cotton on to where we were going!! he he he!! when we got to the car park the man at the gate asked to see our tickets and thats when it sunk in where we were though still not fully!! the man at the gate thought that was wonderful that it was such a surprise for Mo and he told Mo it was sainsburys inside!! romfl!! it wasn't until we parked up and Mo saw the huge pictures and chess pieces outside that it all sunk in and his excitement started, it was magic!! I took his HP costume with me so he changed into that and was ready to explore! he was given a little digital headset tour..which he absolutely adored using and then it was just awesome exploring.

I am not going to tell you too much more incase you are going yourselves but it was the best day and we LOVED it!! I will leave you with a few piccies from our day...

Thank you for popping in on me! huge hugs Lou xxx

On my soap box.....:)

Image- Nikki from Saturated Canary.
( she is a special digi for Tiet's Club)
Morning Peeps!!
Its been a busy 2 days for me with work and a Little Mo to scoot around after but last night (in between dozing off several times....!!) I treated myself to a little bit of colouring time and coloured up the digi that Krista made especially for Tiet's club.

I knew just where I wanted to pop her too. Do you ever get so caught up in making bits for everyone else that you forget to make a bit of something for yourself?! well, I totally do!! and last night I decided it was time to make a bit of something just for me!

On payday last month I treated myself to a gorgeous gingerbread soap from my friend Kelly's shop. It came in this stunning little heart window pillowbox and was just screaming to be decorated so I just had to go for it last night!!

So Nikki got coloured up and the box got decorated with some teeny snowflakes from the Memory box Crystalline border die. I added a squidge of blue lace and a couple of little bells tied on with thread to the top and ooooh what a little treat all for me!!! :)

I also bought Little Mo a soap for his birthday which is coming up soon.....However...dopey mummy didn't hide it well enough...!! When I was little my mum always used to buy us a soap on a rope from avon for christmas and the soap present near christmas has always stuck with me as one of our christmas traditions.
I had put it on the kitchen side and covered it with a tea towel so I remembered to go hide it....and then forgot!!!

I came down one morning a couple of weeks ago to find a very busy Little Mo writing a letter, this is how the conversation went...

Mo- " Mumma is Kelly spelt with a kicking K or a curly C?"
Mummy- " its a kicking K poppet, why?"
Mo- " I am just writing Kelly a thank you letter for my reindeer soap, I found it in the kitchen this morning and I love it, Look Mumma, its got real reindeers in and it smells like christmas"

....well, I couldn't help but melt! Here's his little letter...
and here's his soap, the piccy is Kelly's shop piccy but its too cute not to share....
I am popping my little soap box over on the Its a gift challenge on the Allsorts challenge blog.
so thats me for today peeps!! I hope you all have awesome weekends planned.
Thank you for popping in on me
Huge hugs Lou xxxxx

My gorgeous Hubby's 40th birthday cake....

Morning Peeps!!
Is my husband's 40th birthday today so this mornings blog is not a card but a cake!! he he he!!

Mo and I spent some of our time yesterday making a chocolate cherry cake for him because they are 2 of his favourite things!! I cut the fresh cherries in half and soaked them in brandy before splitting hem into 3 piles.1 pile went into each layer and the 3rd pile went into the freshly whipped double cream in the centre of the cake. Then I covered it in yummy dark chocolate ganache.

We decorated the corner of the heart with some flaked truffles and a couple of the cherries I had saved for the top. Mo popped the candles into 2 of the truffles!! I thought that was cute! and then I tried to make some swishes with some blue balls to match the candles.

Now I am no cake decorating kinda chick but I have to admit I was really pleased with how this cake came out because Scott is just such an awesome husband and worth every panicky struggle I had when I was making it, I so wanted it to be special for my  special guy. He is my world and my best friend.

Right, I had better get on with my day! Mo is adamant he wants to go to school today so we are going to let him try. He has been eating a little and has managed a little breakfast this morning so we will see how he goes. Thankfully he goes to an awesome school and they will ring me if he is struggling in any way.

And me? I get some Scott time today. He has taken the day off so we are going to go to Damon's for lunch and then have a little party food tea for Mo.

Have an awesome day peeps! thank you for popping in on me

Tiddly Inks challenge 98- Thanks.....

Morning Peeps!!

Its Tiddly Tuesday!! yey! y'all know how much I love Tiddly Tuesdays.... it means its time for an exciting new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and 2 gorgeous new releases in the Tiddly Inks shop too!! super yey!!!!

Awwww I adore them both...and I even linkied them into the shop for you...I love how enabling...thoughtful I am...;)

So on to the new challenge! I loved this weeks because the challenge is.....

With Gratitude/ Thanks

squee! I love Thank you cards, they just make people smile and I love to make people smile. I used the awesome new Wryn and Wren image for this card (...because dopey brain here had written the wrong date down for the challenge in my 'lets be organised 'note pad...no sure its working too well ....!!)

The sentiment is a play on words with 'so,so' swapped out for the 'cocoa' as she is holding a yummy mug of drinking chocolate!!

Its hard to see from the piccies but her cream is all frothy because I did it with fluffy stuff!! cute!!

The next new release Christy has this week is 'With all my heart'.......

Oh My Gosh!! how cute is that image???? I cannot tell you how excited I was when I opened it because as soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I wanted to do for Scott's birthday card!! The papers are from the Bugging Out paper set, I love this paper. I added a little sentiment in the heart using my psp program.

Scott is the big 40 tomorrow but he is very much like me and doesn't want any fuss. He really doesn't like surprises so we are just having the day together and them having a little party tea, just Scott, Mo and I. He told me that would be his perfect day so that is exactly what he is going to get.

Don't forget to pop in on all my gorgeous Tiddly Inker teamies over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog.
I am taking my ever so washed out little guy to the shop to buy some ingredients for us to make Daddy's birthday cake, we are going for chocolate and cherry cake (.... 2 of Scott's favourites!) and Mo has his heart set on getting some of those sparkly candles to go on top.
There was no way I was taking him off to school when he looked as worn out from his sickness as he did this morning, he has already planned to fall asleep on the way home from Asda's in the car...its about 8 miles away so I think he might just do that!! I just really hope I don't catch the lergy from Mo......

Right time for a snuggle with my little guy!!
Thank you for popping in on me!
huge hugs Lou xxx

The little chrimbley house on the prairie!!

 Morning again Peeps!!

I'm back  in here again with my Get Funky post to carry on with our Amanda's awesome Christmas is all about kids challenge.
In our family christmas has always been centred around the children completely, and Scott and I have carried that through into our little home too so when I saw Amanda's challenge I was so excited I got to work on a little something for my Little Mo. Each year we put a treat on his bed for him to nibble up on christmas morning when he wakes up and he loves it, he gets so excited because he knows its the only day he will get a treat before breakfast!!!

So this year I grabbed my Funky Little Christmas download and got busy on a super cute little house to pop on his bed. I love the mix of kraft feeling papers and zingy greens in this download and the little christmas tree toppers. Those toppers were too cute to use as little trees around the outside of the little house. I popped them out on foam squares, awwwwww!!!

I used one of my punches to make the cute shingles on the roof, inking each one to make it stand out and die cut 25 to pop on the door. I used a teeny brad for the door handle too.

And here's a peek inside.....
mmmmm yummy!! just perfect for a treat size bag of dairy milk buttons.
Mo loves candy canes so I tied 2 together in a heart shape and attached them to the back of the house.
Now, you still have a couple of days to join in with the challenge before it ends on the 14th november,as always our gorgeous Anice has prepared a fab funky freebie for you to use if you don't own any Funkyhand goodies. The only challenge rule is that you use at least one Funkyhand product, and the prize is any download from Funkyhand shop.

Right, I had better go get back to my poorly little squidger and get myself some porridge for breakfast, Mo has managed a little square of dried toast that he asked for so I feel a bit more settled and not so panicky mummy to get some breakfast myself now.

Huge hugs and thank you's for popping back in on me
Lou xxxx
