Map Kid.........

Image- Map Kid from Kenny K stamps.
Morning all!!

its gone all quiet in the house, Pancakes have been made and schnaffled up by pancake nappers and the Little Man has gone off on the school run with Daddy so I have got 5 mins before I run myself a puddle of a bath to have a very careful wash in (..oh how I dream of lovely bubbly baths and luxurious soap bars ...alas...not allowed those so puddle of a bath it is!!!).

Yesterday I was beat after a super fun day on sunday ( by beat I mean I woke up and could swear a 10 tonne train had driven into the right hand side of my body in a big way...36 holes of mini golf when you are right handed and just had 3/4 f your right breast removed probably wasn't my best thinking but it was uber fun and totally didn't hurt at the time...!!!!). Scott, who is working from home for a couple of weeks, made me rest....mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

So I was wombling around facebook and I saw the Kenny K feb challenge still had a little time to run and I thought ooh perfect!! an escape from the doldrums! so I printed out my Map Kid image and made a card for the Little Man who is going to France on a school trip for the week soon (...........unless mummy can think of a really really good excuse for him not to go!!! bwah ha ha ha!! but he is excited about it so the mummy big girl pants of hiding her fears have been on sonce he brought the letter home....sigh....!!).

I included a few little tags I cut out from the DP stack I used to make the card, I wrote the date he is going on one of them (...you know..just to torture myself a little more everytime I look at it!!! bwah ha ha ha ha!!!!).But I do so love this image, it so reminds me of Bation lying in the attic reading the Neverending Story so I inked some clouds on the background of the image mat so the little guy looks like he is travelling off into the book.

Right a bath is calling me. No deodorant or soap for the last 2 weeks is reallllllly beginning to make me feel yuck now!!!!! to the point where you rinse yourself with your flannel and water, being very careful not to drip any water on your dressings and then sniff yourself afterwards and still feel like you smell sweaty!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh well!! hopefully not much longer of this to go! its results day tomorrow at 3:45pm so I am going to ask my consultant a few questions (...mainly when can I use soap and deodorant again and when can I get back to walking dogs please?!!!!!!!).

Huge hugs and thank you's for popping in on me

Time for tea?.................

Image- Three for Tea.
Morning everyone!

I've been busy getting ready for the influx of mini peeps birthdays going on all around me!! he he!!! I am, of course, in total denial that they are all getting this big so quick but luckily Maurie's super images over at Mo's Digital Pencil are just perfect for them in so many ways!!

For this one I used one of the little girls and the tray of scrummy cupcakes from the Three for Tea set. I merged the little tray so it was just snuggled right up to her dress (...because who would want to share a tray of scrummy cupcakes?!!!!!).

So, time for a Lou update!! he he!! Friday was my wound review and re dress and I was sooo nervous about it but do you know, after all those nerves it was actually a lot less painful than the first time. Super yey!!! and the nurse was really, really pleased with how my wounds are looking so the streristrips were removed and the wounds cleaned thoroughly with the iodine stuff again but it wasn't quite as stingy. So, here is me...
The bruising is so much better now, like a yellowy pinky rainbow but almost gone. I know when I posted it on facebook this piccy caused a little confusion as a couple of friends messaged me to say how lucky I was to have just the little cut around my nipple and down the front of my mini boob but there is actually a very big cut underneath too!! so here's a piccy to help to see that....

I am so uber duber proud of my little Lou body for healing the surgery sites so nicely though, it really has done me proud. I am still sore and I have got to that wonderful ooooooooh I gotta itch stage!!!! but that's all good apparently so go Little Lou body!!! there are just a few more days to go until I get my full results. I get those on wednesday afternoon so I'll let you all know how it went.

Today has been all about showing our Little Mo how very special he has been over the last couple of weeks. His half term holidays consisted mummy having a huge op so he really didn't get to do much. He really has been a superstar. He has been so helpful, gentle and so understanding beyond his years so today we whisked him away to Nottingham to do a few of his favourite things and give him a Mo choose day!! we went to the Lost City adventure golf, had pudding before lunch and then Mo chose a Branch (from the movie Trolls) teddy from Build a bear factory. He loved it and he so deserved it bless him. He fell asleep on the way home so an 'all about me day' was clearly exhausting!!! he he he!!

Right, time to scoot, this Lou needs a cuppa and a little bit of pain relief (...that will hopefully stop the itching too!!!)

Thank you so much for popping in on me,Huge hugs Lou xxx

You are berry sweet!!

Morning all!

It's time for a Fab Friday over on the Tiddly Inks blog and oh my! it's a gorgeous one!!!

I was feeling in a Wryn mood so grabbed myself one of my favourite Wryn's, the Berry Sweet Wryn clear stamp set. There's just something about that bg ole strawberry that makes me feel all warm and summery.

I printed the little sentiment out using word. I don't think I quite lined it up right when I popped it back through with the die cut label but it still looks cute to me!! he he!!!

Today is my wound review and re dress...and I am nervous!! the last one was OMGOSH awful!!!! Scott nearly passed out from seeing me in so much pain, but even though I found it so very painful, the nurse said I managed really well to keep my arm up and out of the way so today I am going for the same but with the added advice from my special friend Pat who has told me to take some painkillers about 45 mins before I have my appointment and we both thought of me having a good shot of whiskey too...purely for nerves but anything that helps is worth a go!! (...so while you are all having cuppa's at 8am, I'll be having  good shot of whiskey to carry me through!!). I'll let you all know how it went tomorrow!!!!!

I really want to see what the wound looks like, I can't see that from my side whilst it is being soaked, cleaned and re-dressed,I can only see my little fake nipple island the consultant made me!!! the only time I get to see mini boob is when I am back in dressings!!!

Thank you so much for popping in on me! Huge hugs Lou xxx

Cheetah Shark...........

Image- Cat Shark Mermaid set from Tiddly Inks.
(she comes in a set of 3 Cat Shark Mermaids).

Morning all!

Last night I had a super duper sleep. I fell asleep watching the football in bed and was fast away by 8:30am and I didn't wake until 5:19am this morning (..Mo and Scott even snored in until 6am!!!!) and the best bit is I only had 2 doses of full on painkillers yesterday too so I think I am getting there. And thank you so very much for all your lovely comments, it really does help to read them and not feel like I am going it alone xxx

One of my BF's took me for a walk around the block whilst Scott went to fetch Mo. Going in the car is very, very painful so I think I am going to have a rest from being in the car for a couple of days.

Yesterday I felt well enough in the afternoon to get a little bit of a craft on and finish up my beautiful new cheetah shark from the new Cat Shark Mermaid set from Tiddly Inks. This one just really hit the spot for me, she's just gorgeous.

A few layers of scrummy papers and die cutting and she was done.

Now, yesterday I took a few moments to try and explain to my BFF's what it looks like under my dressings ( I am seriously so blessed for my trio of 3, they are just amazing). This could of course only be done with an amazing Lou picture....

Oh, ok..so I am not amazing at drawing at all but it still helped!! lol!! the little cross belly button was my first attempt at getting my belly button drawn in the right place but then when I looked in the mirror it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to far from my nipple when my left boob is out of its bra so that needed an edit!!! pmsl!!!!

I managed 5,938 of my normal 10,000 steps yesterday too so I was quite chuffed with that. Today I am going to try for a little more now the anesthetic has worked its way out of my system. I have had a few days of feeling really sick and dizzy with it so wouldn't of trusted myself to walk alone at all. Today I think I can do it so I'm going to have a go at some slow womble sessions!!

Right, got to go. I need a cuppa!!
huge hugs Lou xxx

Feel super soon!!

Image- Super Day.

Morning everyone!!

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. I'm in to share a make with you today using Super Day. I made this card for the dream team blog hop but I got a bit worried incase my post didn't ping up and bodged up the hop if I had to stay in hospital! so instead I have scheduled her up for my monday Dream Team make (....because I should be home by now and able to press a couple of buttons if it fluffs up!! he he he!!!!!)

She is so fun I thought she would be perfect for a get well card!...bit like making myself one!!

** Lou update**
Surgery day came on wednesday. I got a little nervous and needed some sedation to keep my BP happy before my op but it really helped and made me feel much more at ease...pretty much like half a bottle of whiskey in 5 little tablets!! lol!!! Scott took this photo just as soon as I got back from the recovery room.

All in all, I am doing pretty good. I am sore...like sooooo sore, but painkillers do work....they are my best friends...like little fluffy bunnies of happiness...!! lol!!!!!!! The worst part for me was this drain and the reaction my skin had to the hyposcrub wash.
Yesterday I decided to try on a few clothes and it was beyond hilarious...

yup! I am The Hunchtit of Notre Dame!!!!!

But all in all I am doing good peeps and plodding on in my normal Lou way!!! the Little Man took this piccy for me on friday morning ...
Friday lunchtime looked like this for wound review and my drain out and OH MY GOODNESS, that REALLY hurt!!!!!
But I am really doing ok I think. Scott took me shopping for a couple more supportive bra's yesterday and the bruising is really sore....
But I think all in all Mini boob is doing ok. Mini kinder eggs and bassetts jelly bunnies are helping me to get through the whole thing quite nicely!! now I just need to heal and wait for the results to come in...oh and another wound review on friday....Lou inserts small scream...arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......!!!!!

Thank you so much for popping in
Hugs Lou xx

Happy Thoughts....

Hi everyone!!

When this little post goes ping for you all I will be well on my way to the hospital and my date with the nipple nickers but I didn't want to leave you all worried and thinking about me all day so I made this card especially for all of you who pop into my blog to see what I'm up to and leave you all with some Happy Thoughts to start your day.

I adore the Amy and her mini mermaid friends digital image set. There are 6 gorgeous little mermaids to choose from in this set and they all just make you smile as you are colouring them up.

So, smile all day and think happy thoughts! Huge hugs and love to you all

Unicorn cake!!!

Morning everyone!!

So yesterday Bunny wondered what cake Little Man and I were going to make! well, this is it!!

Yup, Little man wanted a unicorn cake!! which was perfect for some fun baking we thought!!! To make it sooo easy, I have this really cool cake pan set HERE. You bake all the layers at the same time and it took just 25 mins to bake the layers!! wahoooooooooo!! magic in itself right?!!! We made up a whole tonne of cake mix...we kept giggling because we thought it might overflow!!!

Then we split that into 5 pots.Mo chose all the colours he wanted his layers to be .....and then we panicked...like a lot...because we took them out of the pans and they looked just like normal cake colour????arghhhhhh!!

But Mummy ploughed along with the icing job (....a little sparingly as we didn't have much butter to make buttercream). I made a horn out of ready made icing and sprayed it gold (have had several comments from friends it looks like a different kinda horn......!!!!) and the split the rest of the icing between blue and pink colours for the hair and blinged it up with some sprinkles and cut some little love hearts and then we literally threw some hundreds and thousands at it so they landed all over the place!! That bit was so much fun!! Then we were onto the tense wait until Daddy came home to cut it and check out the layers...Oh my!!! that bit was soooo hard!! it felt like forever!!

........so, they cut into it together.....

and whoop whoop wahooooooooo!! the coloured sponges did work!!! we need to be more umpfy with our mauve next time but it still looked fantastic and Mo's little face was an absolute delight when he saw the rainbow inside!!

So today we are surprising Mo with a treat. Mo loves afternoon tea, you know with the tiered plate with all the different treats on. We went for one with my grandad last summer and Mo absolutely loved it, he thinks they are magical. So as a last day of the holidays where mummy is well treat we decided to book one for daddy's dinner hour when he has finished a conference call. My friend Karen shared a picture of one she had had with her daughter and the cafe looked right up Mo's street for amazingness so I can't wait. He has some book vouches left from christmas so I have told him we are going to walk into town to spend those so he hasn't got a clue!! squeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Right, got to go! I am going to indulge in my last shower with soap and my last hairwash for a couple of weeks. I have been told I am not allowed to get my dressings wet for 2 weeks after my surgery tomorrow so I am making the most of the last shower and uber fresh feel!!! Don't get me wrong peeps, I will be washing but the long hair might be a bit tricky for scott as I can't bath or shower and leaning over the bath for the shower head detached might be really sore for me...so if you see my hair looking vile please smile at me and tell me it looks shiny!!!! bwah ha ha ha ha!!

Huge hugs and kisses, Lou xxxx

Love you to bits........

Morning everyone!

I'm in with my dream team make for you today and of course it just had to be one of the super sweet new images....and this image was inspired by the special heart cushion my cancer nurse gave me so I had the best fun colouring her up and doodling a little white heart pattern on it like my cushion.

It's half term here and I have my little sidekick at home with me. I LOVE it! Today he has chosen to do some crafting so we are going to have breakfast and I am going to walk Tyson and then we are going to have some crafty fun! He's coloured up a few images with his promarkers now so he wants to get on with making things with them!

And we are going to bake a cake with 5 different coloured layers!! I am not sure how we are going to fit all of this in but we will have a blooming good try!!!! Right, time for a cuppa to get this girl going!!

Thank you for popping in
Huge hugs Lou xxx

LOTV Ballerina....

(I used my trusty rubber stamp, but don't worry, she's in digital format
now so I linked that in for you all!)
Papers- Carta Bella Rustic Elegance.
Hi everyone!!

I am ful of blooming head cold but I have snapped myself up a little crafty time over the 2 days I've had it so far to make a birthday card for one of my BF's daughter who somehow managed to get to 4 already (....I totally don't know how, she was only born around this time last year right?!!!!!!)

Anywho, she LOVES dancing...ALL THE TIME!! she is so so cute with it too, a proper little groover and she has started dancing classes too so I decided on a good old dancing kinda card!

Her little dancing uniform is royal blue so I decided I would try that colour combo (...never tried it before but I think it came out cute!!). I gave her a glittery little underskirt and ballet pumps and doodlyboppers on her headband but I sooo struggle to get piccies of that so here's an effort at a photo!! ....
Awwwwwww, I do love it. A bit of sparkle never goes amiss does it.

So on the Lou lergy side...! I am having soooo much luck recently!! lol!! I have been diagnosed with Stage 2 Hypertension now too and popped on a low dose of tablet to help try to lower it, the dose might need to go up but they want to start me slow incase impending Nipple Nickers op is not helping with my blood pressure.

But all will be good in a couple of weeks and for now I am going to soak up all the Little Mo (....he is growing so much I am going to have to change it to medium size Mo soon!!!! though I have been using Little Man so maybe that's the new way?!) It's half term here in Lincolnshire so there are a few PJ mornings and lazy days to be had before my operation day on wednesday!!

Right, time for a bath and pj's for me I think! Thank you for popping in
huge hugs Lou xxxx

Tiddly Inks challenge #198...Love!!

Image- Danny's Duck.

It's time for another fun challenge here on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog .We've had a wonderful Tiddlycation and rested ourselves and now we are raring to go again!!

We've changed things up for this year too! we will be having monthly challenges instead to give everyone time to enter and play along, sometimes 2 weeks goes too quickly and we just want that fun and chilled feel.

So, that's enough Lou waffle!! it's time to feel all warm inside!!! the Tiddly Inkers want you to think.....

Love!
 So think ...well...Love!!
(**remember...We love to see any new creation, a card, 3D project, journal page etc
but you must use a Tiddly Inks stamp or image **)

I couldn't resist the super sweet Danny's Duck. I just adore this image, it's one of those that actually makes you smile as you are colouring away! I made the sentiment up myself in word and printed it directly onto my image mat after cutting it out with my die.

Have a wonderful day everyone,
Hugs Lou xxx

Black and white and oh so cute!!

Hi everyone!

I've been rushed off my feet all day and so now I've finally got a few minutes before I crash out completely, I wanted to pop in with a post for you today using this little cutie with a ladybird from the 3 Baby Fairies set

The weather here in my village recently inspired the colours on this one completely! we've had nothing but fog and dreary days, so a gorgeous little fairy was just what I needed!

My scan on my lymph nodes on wednesday was really positive. The lady who did it checked them really well on both sides because the first one she looked at was big and blobby, but that's ok, because the other side was big and blobby too!! she said I just like to do things differently!! he he he!!

I was given a beautiful heart cushion by my cancer nurse to practice holding my arm without tensing t for after my op. She said it's really important to do that for healing well and not getting a poorly shoulder after surgery.
Isn't it just gorgeous? I love it. I got all my bloods done too, the wait was a long time but Scott and I had a sandwich and cake lunch date with a cup of tea too....we know how to be romantic!! he he he!!!

My blood pressure was poop though so on thursday along came a 24hr monitor (...oh my, you do not want to have this done!! it hurts and keeps you awake at night as it goes every 20 mins in the day and every hour at night!!!) My arm feels all bruised and battered but you can't see anything other than a red mark!!! I need visuals for this kind of pain!!! bwha ha ha ha ha!!! so I am waiting on the results of that and hopefully so meds to sort it.

But the topper to my week was my little mo...oh my!!! Oh my mummy heart attack day. I got muddled with club ending time tonight so got to school 10 mins late (😢I am never late) scott rang ahead to let them know and they couldn't see him. I got to school and couldn't find Mo.

They searched every where with me and in the end suggested I drive home incase he has started walking ( we live 3.6 miles away from school...) so I drive ... panicking and trying to hold back tears and I get all the way to the very top of cross o cliff hill and driving along the straight bit thinking he's been stolen and there plodding along with a big stick to walk with, taking in all the views and quite happy with himself is a Mo.He couldn't find s grown up to ring us so though he'd best walk home....arghhhhhhhhhhh.

So friday night, Mo felt epic and is sure he has made himself some fit thighs and was most excited that his bag can carry so many sticks and treasure and mummy and daddy feel like epic parental failures and will be drank every last drop of the red wine left from Christmas when Mo went to bed...........

Thank you for popping in
Hugs Lou xx
