Mothers day easel card.

Hello peeps!!!
I am 'chill'-axin in my craft room tonight after a busy week at work. I decided to make a start on my mothers day cards.

Do you ever struggle with making one different (...or better!!!) than last years effort? Omg I do!!!! I saw an awesome heart shaped easel card on the just magnolia blog(...i think thats where it was...) So this year I am going to do shaped easel cards, I love easel cards and this one was sooooo easy!!!!
Here it is.......
All I did was use my wildcart cart to cut the heart card out,(I think I did it at
4 3/4 " to get the envelope made too). I used the negative left from the card base as a template to cut the topper piece for the easel part and then scored the base card at 2" before attaching the heart.
I made the standy up bit with martha and a bit of ribbon tied in a bow so that the heart topper sits just nicely in the middle of the bow.
I coloured tilda ,she's so stinkin cute, she looks like she's saying " i love you this much mum!!"
I cut the stitched heart element out too and stiched t with some gold thread, I popped the negative bit through my cuttlebug to emboss it and popped it behind the stitched heart.

I wanted tilda to look like she was stepping through the heart so I popped here little foot inside.
I cut 'mum' from my ACY cart and added a bit of inking and a few pearls. I also doodled some kisses either side of the word mum.
Here's a side view.......

I am so pleased with this one as I have been neglecting doug the big bug a little recently and favouring my princess b ( yep.... I have lost it, I named my bugs!!! Doug is my Big E and Princess b is my baby!!!!! lol!!!) I sometimes forget just how much fun the cards are on wildcard and so easy to do too.

I have crafty club tomorrow so I am looking forward to that, its so nice to catch up with everyone and have fun creating alongside each other, their is so much talent and inspiration when you all get together.
See you soon,

Hugs

Booti-ful birthday card!!!

I have had this awesome template for this bra and pants card from stamp owls blog for ages(....2 years I think!!!) and I have used it so many times.

I noticed a few of them popping up on the cricut mb so I wanted to share this link to stamp owls blog too as for those nights when you just don't feel like getting out your cricut ( like me tonight because i feel rough!!) this is super.

This one is for a lovely friend of mine at work whose birthday is tomorrow. I love the pink embossed paper on this one ( thank you ikea!!) and the black lace goes so nicely with it. The card is cream hammered card for a more realistic skin look!!!! can't see it very well in the photo though.

The lacey bit is paper adhesive lace and I just pleat it to get it to go nicely around the edges of the bra and pants. A little black bow with a gem on and it is done. You can do them really quick and simple with the template but I love to take a bit more time and perfect the look of the lacey bit, makes it look a bit more lush!!!!

Its a little bit cheeky but I like it!!!!

Thank you for popping in xxxxx

Window wiper!!!!

Hello!!!

We have a wet and dreary day here today but little mo and I have not wasted it!! We went mud squelching and puddle splashing this morning, lots of fun and giggles from little mo!! wish I had taken my camera. Then we did the boring tasks of cleaning out our rabbit simba and tidying up the back garden.

I was still feeling in a valentines kind of crafty mood so this afternoon I have been having fun playing with the new lily-boo's boutique window collection.

I really enjoyed making this card, Mo was poottling along on nick jnr and chatting away to me and it just made my afternoon so nice!!!
So here is my window wiper card!!!!

I printed it out twice and for the top part cut out the girl, plant and just the window frame to get some dimension in the card. I coloured her in with my copics and added a bit of sparkle with my spicas ( doesn't come out in the pictures but it looks really pretty in real life!!!! the window frame is glossed with glossy accents ( looks like white PVCU!!!! lol !!!!)

I embossed the background with hearts and added a bit of ribbon. On my little panels and my pop up wiper bit I used some silver mirri board and my love language cuttlebug folder again!! its one of my fav's and I use it a lot!!!!!

When Mo has gone to bed I am going to watch a film with scott , we were going to watch 'The time travellers wife' but I watched that last night instead ( ....oh so sad, I cried buckets!!! daft bat!!!)

Thank you for popping in!!!

edwin valentine!

My mum rang last night with a request for a valentines card for her friend's teenage son to give to his girlfriend of 3 years. He wanted something a bit special and he couldn't find what he wanted in the shops so this is what I came up with.

I wanted to personalise it a bit so I printed out her name on edwin's balloon. I glazed the balloon and the little heart on edwin's jumper and gave martha a bit of a whirl on the heart cardstock and gold vellum.
I made 2 little tickets with some gold vellum by stamping with my versamark dazzle and heat embossed them. I used my fav inkadinkado embossing powder that I have had for 4 years, it is so good and just seems to last forever!!!
A bit of goldy coloured organza ribbon and a little gemstone bling and I called the front done!!!

I made the inside to match as I had a couple of scraps of the heart card left. I cuttlebug embossed the gold vellum on the inside with the little hearts embossing folder that came in my love language set.
I think it turned out cute, I hope he likes it and claire likes her personlised valentine's card!!!!

My first attempt at colouring with my distress inks!!!

Hello peeps!!!!

Firstly a warning....if you don't already get the magnlia ink mag...don't get it!!!!!! romfl!!! it has shown me how many things I NEED!!! no seriously, it is a gorgeous magazine. Whilst drooling over my magnolia ink mag I saw some tilda's coloured in with distress inks and decided to give it a go ( please bear in mind I have a whole 2 distress inks!!!! tattered rose and frayed burlap and my first attempt is probably a bit pants!!!) but to be honest after coouring this one, they were a super 2 colours for me to choose and o together really nicely, I love brown and pink.

Oh and of course a bit of martha was invloved too ( another warning must be issued here....don't give in to martha's..... you will always NEED more!!!!) ooh she cuts like butter and looks so cute though!!!!! lol!!!!!
So here's my effort!!! I also highlighted tilda a bit with my at you spicas, I tried my best to get it in the picture but the light is a bit dark here even in the daytime at the moment.

Awwww, she's cute!! another one of my stamp club swap ones but I will own her one day I am sure!!!! I love how her socks turned out.The backing paper is another sheet from my 'stroke it only' collection but the colours went together so nicely and the little cupids were cute!!!

Right, off for a cuppa now!!! thank you for popping in on me!! hugs

Awwwwww, too cute onesies!!!!

Hello peeps!!
I had a productive night last night (....after an nice strong expresso!!) and made 2 cards that I really like.
This is the first one, I used one of the really cute little onsies's digi set from Lily-Boo's boutique and the doily card cut from my wild cards cricut cart.
I popped the little circle of basic grey paper through my cuttlebug with the love language hearts folder, roughed up the edges a little with my scissors and put a litte bit of ditressing ink around them.
I cut the card at 5" and inked around the edges doing some doodle dots around the scallops with a white gel pen.
I bought some yummy natural coloured lace and popped it across the circle then silicone glued that onto the base so it pops out a little.
I coloured up my cute little cupcake onesie with my copics and yummy new at you spica pens and then glazed the cupcake to make it look 'sweet'!!!
....and this is the 2nd one. I made this middle step card following a tutorial on you tube ( ooodles and oodles of thanks to the lady who made it xxxx)
I am entering this one in the pile it on challenge this month so wish me luck!!
The stamp was one I got from my friend Enfys in a stamp swap, isn't she cute? I coloured her and the fans with my copics and gave them a bit of bling with my spicas too ( .....welllll, a girl has to play with her new toys!!!!) the silver mirri card sentiments are from my love language cuttlebug set and they seemed to fit in just right with the oriental cardstck (that I got when I went to the kanban open day thing!!)
Right I must pootle off now and get playing with my yummy martha stewart punches I bought from sir stampalot this morning, ( I tell you I have the worlds best DH!!) he took us out for a drive, its only an hour away, and omgosh, there was so much I wanted to buy but I was a very good girl and only got a couple of things ( 2 martha stewart punches, a sporty edwin stamp and a brilliance dew drop in galaxy gold!) So I am off to play!!
Thank you for popping in xxx

Happy sunday and lily-boo's feb challenge!!

Happy sunday everyone!!!

I have had a busy day delivering birthday cards and playing with my little man who made a really cute birthday card ( derrrr, forgot to take a piccy of it! ) for one of his fav ladies, Fi.
So I have had time to make a few cards this week.
This one is for our Lily-boo too february challenge, its 1 tag and ribbon this month and I went with one of the super cute bunches girls from the boutique, and gave her the copics treatment!! along with a bit of nestie useage and some of my take out and stroke it paper!!! I made the tag with my scalloped oval set from stampin up.
And this one is for the UK crafters thread on the cricut mb. Kerry has once again got her whip out and is giving us something productive to do whilst we chat away and this month it is side step cards, I lurve these cards, they are so sweet and I love fiddling with bits to glam them up. I made one last week for Kate too but forget to take a piccy of that one ( again....derrrrrr!!) and I made 2 today ( i will pop a piccy on of that one tomorrow as it is for my lovely friend Fi's birthday which is tomorrow and I don't want her sneaking a peek at it!!!
I heat embossed my little tilda with hearts and coloured just her hearts, then I got my whispers stamp set out and used a few of those, (yes I know there is splodadge on the kisses!! I dropped it into my tray of powder and then couldn't find my brush to clean it off!!!!)
well, thats it for me for today!!! thank you for popping in!!!

Baby wordbook!!

OOOOOhmg!!! I am loving my new dreams come true cd rom from funkyhand!!!! it is just so easy to use and the papers are dreamy!!

So this is what I made yesterday morning too ( that proves how easy it is to use because I take forever to make a card and I managed 2!!!!!! lol!!!!)
I gave the wordbook bit a whirl with this one, I loved how easy it was to change the colour of the letter within the program and printed it all out, I popped it back through the printer again to get another pattern on the back.
Now the thing I love about wordbooks from funkyhand is that there is no waste at all, the bits I cut off to form the shape of my wordbook I used for the little tags and bits on the pages and the bit for my Friend to write her congrats message on on the back page.
I used a few forever friends stickers to embellish my little book and some ribbon tied around the letters looked so nice.

Doesn't it look so cute standing up!!!!! Thanks go to fabby Anice and her DH for such a super duper cd rom.

thankyou for popping in on me xxxxxxx
