Tiddly Inks Challenge 86- Girly or Mothers Day!!

Morning Peeps!!!

wohooooo! its Tiddly Tuesday so its time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and this week its all about the Mummy's out there...or a good old girly card!!

Mothers Day has been and gone here in the UK but I went with a couple of mum creations as going from my experience with my own mum, there are always time throughout the year when you just want to thank your mum for being mum again or just let her know how special she is.

And it wouldn't be Tiddly Tuesday without a yummy new release from our gorgeous Christy and I fell in love with this weeks new one instantly, she is just gorgeous. More about her in a min!!!

I used Dandylion Pixie for my card. She is just so sweet. I teamed her up with my fav HOTP papers and glittered up her dandylion. Those dots around her are all blingy and pretty in the light. Lace, twine a tag and a heart, a bit of inking and a squidge of pearly gem and she was done!! too cute!!

And now....squeeee...onto the new release image!!!!!! so do you want to see her.....

...and here's what I used her for!! I just had to use her for a SMASH page in my beautiful precious pink (...yup...my SMASH book has a name!!) as I was in a SMASH-ing mood and she fitted right in with what I had planned!! yey for Christy!! I was going to use tiny dancer but Be bold, Be You was just such an awesome chick and her name was just right for the journalling I had printed out too!!! LOVE IT!!!

Here's a close up of her...I am sooo in love!! I merged her onto Ty's Splatter paper...(which might  add is a complete bargain at the minute!!!) and then coloured her up and added some sparklies. I so want to be this little chick!!! :)

..and before I go I just wantto make sure you all saw melissa birthday bear! 

omgosh she is cuuute!! I used her to make a big juicy tag with my Tim Holtz dies.

Sugary Sunday....

Morning Peeps!!
wohooooo! its bank holiday here in the UK so I get an extra day with the gorgeous men in my life, which is my best kinda day really!!


Over on the Sugar Nellies facebook group, Fiona set us a gorgeous colour challenge for the sugary sunday, and oooh the piccy of colours was so gorgeous I just had to jump straight on it!! he he he!!
Now I am super lucky because I have the Papercraft Factory cd roms from Funky Hand and they have every colour under the sun on them so it was super easy to find the colours I needed! yey for Anice! I love the sort of lineny effect on these papers.


I got out my Vintage Boutique simply sassy stamp for this one ( I have adopted this stamp and it is so much loved thankyou mwah,mwah xxxxx) and stamped her on some white cardstock and the scraps of my cardbase too because I wanted to paper piece her up to keep in with the colours of the challenge. I only needed to shade the dress a little to give its some umpf!! and her hair..which is vanilla,mustard and caramel and her face which is blush, sunkissed pink and coral.


Then for the fun part completely inspired by the lovely Pops who always uses the most gorgeous butterflies on her card. I went for a big fluttering mass of butterflies and I have to say I am loving it (...However if you saw me even in the vicinity of a real butterfly you would wet yourself laughing as I just don't do them...AT ALL!!! I haven't done them since I was 8 and a huge one landed on my forehead at a butterfly park and I wasn't allowed to move until the guide took it off...much to the amusement of my brother and sister but since then I have been petrified of butterflies and moths!!!!!!) Think quiet screaming and running faster than wind and you have what happens to me when there's a butterfly or moth to near me!!!


Any whoo, I just kinda plonked them on in a flutter with some glue and added a bit of twine to my stamped mat to finish it all off. The little corners are my EK Success punch that my lovely friend Lou MADE me buy........;) :) but I have to admit it is right up there with my most used punches, its fab for just adding a bit of something. 
I am sending this little card off to a challenge too....
Cupcake Craft Challenges..oooh la la!!


So its gorgeous here this morning and we are heading off to B&Q to get Little Mo some guttering to make a wall garden, will show you piccies when we are done!!! we got rained off from doing it last weekend so he is really excited now!!! ( ..you know...the "is the store open yet mummy?"..."is it open yet?"..."will it be open now?" ...type excited!! I will be pleased when it is open........!!) and then a bit of a vegging out day, LURVELY!!!

Getting Sentimental for Get Funky!!

Morning Peeps!!
Its time for me to share with you my little Funky Hand DT make for our Deb's 'Get Sentimental' challenge. I love sentiments so this was a fun challenge to do.


I was in a makey kinda mood so you get 3 makes from me today!!  I went for one card and then made some tissue covers a la my gorgeous friend Catherine's tutorial, Thank you Catherine, Mwah xxxx 
This one at the top uses the awesome Steam Funk download. It is one of my absolute fav's and is completely yummilicious for all sorts of things because it is covered in little crafty sentiments and definitions when you get reading it!  and I really didn't need to do too much other than add some lace, cute little butterflies with flower stamen and bead bodies (..told you I was in a makey mood !!!) and a quick sentiment made using the Impact Label font that is on all the papercraft factory cd's..I love that too!! :)


So my card!!! I used the April Funky Freebie and the Happy Happy birthday papercraft factory for it and I love how it came out!! the sentiment for this card is also on the freebie.

Now these little covers are completely addictive and sooo much fun. I love making them and they are absolutely perfect for sentiments too. And they are so much fun to make with the Papers from Funky Hand too!! I love them!!


Next up is a little more of a sympathy one. I used the I do wordbook for this one as it has this really gorgeous quilted 3D looking paper on it that I just adore. It looks so comfy!!!

I nestified the sentiment and then added just a few teeny flowers to the top.
OOOOOOOOHHHHH!! and while I am here don't forget about the Bank Holiday Sale that is on over in the Funky Hand shop!!! there's nothing like a long weekend and discount shopping :) :) :)

And please remember to use at least 1 funky Hand product on your makes for the challenge, thankyou!!!

Morning Peeps!!

Hope you are all having a fabby friday, I am at work today so I can't wait for the weekend to begin!
This little cutie is one of the cards I made for the charity sale we are having at work and when I looked last night on the table with all the crafts on he had gone so someone must of liked him and given him a home!!!! lol!!! and I got a huge lump in my throat too when I got to work yesterday and saw how much all of my work friends efforts have been put into making bits/cakes to sell. I have to say we are one huge talented bunch of nursery nurses!! Tonight we will be counting up the pennies we have made for Adie's Just Giving page so I will pop it in tomorrows bloggy post! its so exciting. I think there was at least £35 in the pot already last night!!


He is pirate monkey, a sugar nellie from Funky Kits and he is just so cute. I coloured him up with these pens....

And he is going in for a couple of challenges too......

wohooo! I got SMASHed today!!

wohoooo I finally did it!! I SMASH-ed in my gorgeous pink folio!!!!!!!


So a little waffle about my page....:)


The piccy is the one I took of myself in the sunshine on monday morning. I love the way the sun rays are shining down, perfick!!


The big huge mug in the circle is my fav mug and is always full of hot water with a slice of orange/lemon. 


The heart is covered with a strip from each of the washi tapes I have at the moment and stuck on with my only red one!! I saw someone else cover a dressmakers model but I wanted a heart as this book is love to me.


The journalling is special. Its special because my pink folio is a very treasured gift and always will be. Thank you so much gorgeous lady,mwah mwah xxxxxxxx Its a little blurry because I focused in on the mug and banner when I took my photo!  but hope you can still make it out!! might update it with a better one tomorrow!

The banner is my fav SU punch. I added the heart because I love this book so much for so many reasons. (Have you ever really wanted to get something and then it plomps through your door as a surprise? I can tell you I have never squeeled or jumped around my room so much!!!!)


I doodled some lines around the 'OH' to make it stand out so that the words on my page read 'OH I LOVE IT' with my chip block die.


So thats page one of my SMASH and I am really pleased with it. Its me and some of my fav things and I LOVE IT :) (...and yup...thats the protective cover on it still....I haven't gotten brave enough to take that off yet!!!! romfl!!!!!)

Morning Peeps!!!

Oh my gosh, the 1st May already???? whoa this year is zooming by!!

I made a start on the cards to sell for the charity sale yesterday. I only got 3 made but am feeling much brighter today so hopefully I will get the other 7 done today. I want to get 10 made so at £2 each if they all sell I will of made £20 for Adie's Just Giving page! I would feel sooo happy if I manage that.

I just had to ink up my newest LOTV stamp....I have had it for a while but not gotten round to using it yet!!! I decided to go with a boy/girl colour scheme and got our my DCWV nanna's nursery stack and of course my Tim Holtz vintage lace die.

I found a yummy cream button and punched out a little heart. To make it into a button I just used a button hole punch.

Right, off to get my little man some brekkie, he is coming down with mummy's cold of evil so hasn't been very hungry this morning :(, which is not like him at all!!

Dusted off the cricut!!!

Morning Peeps!

Well the cold is still winning in and my energy has felt zapped away for the last 2 days!!! However, the sun is actually really shining this morning so I feel a whole tonne better just for seeing that.

Last night I actually opened my cricut up and made something with it. A friend of mine has a little girl called Asha and she is into Hello Kitty at the moment (...super yey for the hello kitty greetings cart!!!!) 

I am still loving my cloudy sky freebie paper from Funky Hand a couple of months ago, its so cute and was just perfect for a kitty in an aeroplanes background. Her eyes and nose are actually glossy accented but its hard to see in the piccy.

I cut Asha's name with my Tim Holtz chip block die and then stuck it onto the twine. I couldn't help but add 2 girly bows to the ends of the twine too, it looked really cute!! The sentiment is all glitzy and gorgeous from my crafters companion iridescent spray but that was hard to get a piccy of too!! I wobbled it out on some foam pads to make it look like it was floating through the air too!

I need to get my crafty thing on today and make a tonne of cards for the little charity sale we will be having at work to raise money for Adie's Just giving page. Adie, who is Asha's dad, has a just giving page and is raising money for MND. What makes it even more awesome is that Adie is battling with MND himself and doing such an awesome job with raising money for the charity that I am in complete awe of him. His blog is here if you want to pop along and say hi to him I know he loves visitors, and I love his style of writing because he is so honest and humorous. I got through a range of emotions reading his blog, from happiness to sadness and then right back to happy again!

Hoping to have a SMASH-ing sunday!! romfl!!

Morning Peeps!!!

How are ya'll this morning??!! me, I have a stonky poop cold and to make it worser last night we were awoken by someone trying to get into our front door and the furry princess Holly going crackers at it by growling and woofing in her best furry princess voice. She must of done a good job though as they stopped trying, the weird thing is that just a few seconds later our bedroom was lit up by the lights of a police car. Though they didn't come to our house we did think it might all of been joined together in some way!!

I just couldn't settle after that and now I have a glamourous snotty red nose and sore eyes!!! (I am just sooooo attractive for Scott right now....lol!!!)

Anywhoo on a totally fabulous note I got an awesome gift in the post from a completely awesome friend on friday. I came home from work to find a big envelope on my kitchen table and a gorgeous pink SMASH folio was inside. OMGOSH!!! how excited was I ???? (...well, much to my gorgeous hubby's bemusement I was Squeel, dance around the room and jump a lot whilst hugging said SMASH book tightly and kissing it!!!!)
So to inspire me I am getting myself going with Kellie's...

All this nutty mamma behaviour of course stirred up little mo's nuttiness too and it got stirred up even more that when mamma had stopped doing the SMASH celebration dance and found his little gift from his little buddy Philly attached to the front of my book with washi tape he asked for a photo to be taken of him for Philly to say thank you and to show him the tooth he had lost that day at school....

romfl!!!!! you even get to see his tonsils too....!!!!!!  (...and the tooth fairy came at 4am saturday morning..........!!) I need to have a word with that chick !!!

So, the top picture is obviously my gorgeous SMASH book and that is pretty much how it has been since I got it!!!!!! I LOVE IT....I have taken the ribbon off 9 times and looked slowly all the way through it. I have stroked each page and then softly popped it back into its ribbon!!! I love it so much.

The tape at the side there is the tape I treated myself to yesterday from Paperchase. They had reduced it too so they were £1.50 each. Now all I need to do is apply some to the pages!!!

The mug is my HUGE poohbear tea mug. I love a cuppa in the morning and I don't do delicate china mugs, I like a huge mug of hot tea to get me going!! I drink hot boiled water for the rest of the day with a slice of lemon or orange but always in the HUGE mug!! 

And I dyed my hair yesterday too. I wanted it to come out much lighter like on the box but it looks good and covers up the white anyway!! lol!!! It actually shines a really awesome colour in the daylight but after taking a whole tonne of piccies Scott still can't get it to show up so you get this piccy of it instead.....

Ahhh so glamourous me!! not brushed hair yet and eyebrows popping out my fringe!! will make firm effort to take better piccies later...though it is pouring down with rain at the minute!!

So thats me for today! I am off to have another cuppa, eat a jammy dodger and might make it to getting dressed before 9am....nah, maybe not!!! lol!!!!

oh my gosh! hold onto your hats because theres going to be a new release of Krista Smith's awesome Saturated Canary images today!! so I got busy with them all to give ya'll a little sneaky peek tease...and believe me you will all be sitting waiting for 4pm EST now!!! because oh my gosh... they are alll sooooooooo dreamy!!!

So, at the top there we have 'Cerridwen'. Next is a card you will of seen before, it was a special digi for Tiets club, but she is up for release to everyone today! yey!! 'cos I know a tonne of you have been waiting for her!!! This is 'Springtime'....

 Then we have 'Wendy', I loveWendy because it was my dearest Nana's name...

 ...and here's another piccy of Wendy with her blingyness on ...:) I went a bit crazy with my spica's!!!

And this one here just has to be my absolute fav. Meet 'Muliti tasking Mamma', squeee isn't she fabulous?!! I had to SMASH her as soon as I got up this morning!!

So its off to work for me today, its really grim weather wise here today so I am hoping it brightens up a bit so I can get the little peeps out in the garden!!

 Afternoon Peeps!!

Its time for a fabby new challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog today and oooooh is it a good one!!!! this week we want to see a ....

Birthday Theme

oooh easy peasy!! and sooo much fun too!!!

I was in a boy kinda mood so I headed straight for printing out 'Scratch',isn't he just the cutest ever little injun you ever saw?!!!!! 

So I decided to make him a little dream-catcher. I have never made one before and have probably done it totally wrong but I used my nesties and had lots of fun making it all the same!!! I added some little feathers out of Mo's crafty box and made some dangly threads with teeny tassels.I stamped out a little LOTV verse too, it was just perfect for this card.

I doodled some little arrows on my orange mat and then splodged down a load of layers of the papers. I have had this set for ages and I absolutely love it. Its so bright and awesome for boy cards!! more feathers, a birthday sentiment and a bit of raffia and it was done!!

he he he!! its actually quite a teeny pile!! romfl!!! 

Ooooh and super exciting...there are new Saturated Canary digi's ......TOMMOROW :) :) :)
