Another rainy day and a very proud mummy moment!!!

Papers- Happy Happy Birthday- Birthday boy colourway
from Funky Hand

***This is my 2nd post for today so please scroll down or go HERE for my Tidlly Inks challenge post***

Hiyah peeps!!

I had some me time today which was lovely so I decided to have a play with my other Rainy Day from Saturated Canary digi's that was left from my playtime yesterday!!!!! (well, she did look kinda lonely sat there on her own!!!)
My printer has decided that anything with yellow in will not be printed without looking all weird so I am down to my dark colours only!! and being as I only have a couple of red, a couple of blue and greys (warm and cool) in my copics box I decided they should have an outing for a change!!

Rainy Day was lots of fun to colour today and then I distressed the edges and decided to do some hand stitching too.

I chose the splotty paper from my Happy Happy birthday cd because I decided it makes a neat rain splot background!! then I printed out the dark blue lineny looking one and pulled in some red paper from my stash to match my colouring.

Then the postman came and I had the best surprise ever, it was a postcard from Little mo's headteacher and it said...
I did what every proud mummy would do and cried!!!! I am so unbelievably proud of him.

Right off to get a snuggle from Mo, then its bathtime!!

Tiddly inks challenge 65- special 2 week Art Journalling challenge.

Image- Aida from Tiddly inks.
Paper- Key paper ( retired freebie from Christy)

Morning Peeps!!

Its that Tiddly time of week again and so its time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly inks challenge blog.
And this week it is a super one, we want you to join us over the next two weeks with a special journal page---or project (featuring a Tiddly Inks image, hopefully). We thought the extended time would be helpful if art journaling is new to you.

And for me, art journalling was totally new(....yup.....I panicked totally when I got the email for this challenge from our Christy!!!!) so after much scouring of google ( don't worry, Christy has found some excellent linkies over on the challenge blog for you to peeky at!!) I took the plunge and decided to do a page on my utter confusion of where to start!!!!

Aida represents a very confounded Lou and the string is my loopy mind trying to work out where to go!! lol!!! anyhoo a bit of scrunching up paper, distressing and heat embossing copper powder and I was a bit happier about my new learning curve!!! and I can happily report I am busy with page 2 already!! yey lou!!!!

Well, thats me for today then!!! I am going to take little Mo to school ad then pop in on my mum, then its home for some crafty goodness!!!!

Huge hugs

Sprocket the steampunk aviator!!

Hello peeps!!

I am popping in late today because I have had a fabby day of crafting with my BF. we had a good play in MTC and making some really cute boxes, I had such a nice day.

I picked Mo up and came home to a power cut....argggghhhhhhhhhh!!! so a quicky hob tea for us tonight (....after dopey here remembered you need to light the gas with a match as the electric clicky button won't work in a power cut.....) and Mo is just playing out the front now. It is so windy!!

Todays share from me is Sprocket, another of my new digi's from Saturated Canary. I coloured her up last night and was in blue and pink mode!! hence the super funky blue blingy hair and lippy she is sporting!!! I am sporting blue fingers from my distress inks...am sure BF thinks I don't bathe at night......!!)

I really didn't need to add too much to this little chick, just an embossed background, scrumpled up bit of lace and a super yummy piece of paper from my stash that I stamped cogs all over!! The cogs and sentiment are from my SU sense of time stamp set, love it and use it oodles!

I am popping this over in the Simon says stamp and show some steampunk challenge. I am very much still a learner when it comes to putting some steampunk together so I was blown away with their DT's creations!!!

Right off to see what Mo is doing now as he has taken his bike, helmet on head and is just carting his big brothers skateboard ramp out through the gate....evil kenevil watch out!!!!!!!!

Thank you for popping in on me!!

Rainy Day.....

Hello again peeps!!

Now no laughing allowed from my friends who all know that I am completely addicted to digital papers but......my printer hath died!!!!!! argghhhhhhhh!!! DH is currently standing over it and garbling many techie things..... of which I have no clue what they mean.... but I am diligently nodding, saying mmmmm and being wifely supportive!!!

So when my gorgeous new Rainy Day digi from Krista plopped into my emails I was fine printing her out in black, phew!! and for once there is not a DP in sight on my card!! go Lou!!!

There is,however, oodles of antique photo distress ink, stamping and clear heat embossing on it with a sprinkling of gorgeous ribbon and a few pearls!!!!

Isn't she gorgeous all dressed up in her fall colours?? I used a whole bundle of promarkers for this one!!
the orangey colours are...apricot, honeycomb,ginger and burnt orange
browns are... terracotta,henna and burnt umber
skin- blush, peach and soft peach
          hair- vanilla,putty and caramel
          eyes-denim blue

Right off to make fabby DH a cuppa and hope he can sort my printer out before I get shakes of withdrawal.........

Huge hugs Lou xxxx

One layer quicky cards!!

Hello peeps!!

How is everyone's sunday going? Mine is fab. Mo woke up later again this morning, a lovely 6:40am this morning, its so nice to have that extra few minutes in bed.
I got some housework done and Mo and Scott went off to the driving range to play a bit of golf so I got busy on playing around with my Tiddly inks images!!!

I wanted to play with the new Hi There girl and boy so armed myself with paintshop and a couple of my old nitwits and got to work on some one layer cards for a change, you know the ones where you play around then press print and they are done!!! yey!!! flat for postage!!!

I placed all my layers together, merged and then added the Hi There girl and boy .png's to each card. They come out white when I print them so I can then promarker them up however I fancy. I love cards like this to ease myself into a crafting morning, both of these were finished in 20 mins flat!! lurvely!!!!

So there we go! a couple of Lou quickies!!! off to get messy again now in my craft room as Mo is pootling around outside at the bottom of the drive with his scooter and a doctors dressing up kit!! he is the height of fashion my boy!!! romfl!!!

Saturated canary Digi's- Nevaeh.

Nevaeh from Saturated Canary Digi's.
Papers from Happy Happy Birthday from Funky Hand.

Hello again peeps!!

We had a fabby morning at the little peeps bowling party and then a little bit of chilling when we came home.

Then I got some crafty time !!!!! wooohooooo!!!!!

So I had a little play with Nevaeh from Krista's new etsy shop, Saturated Canary Digi's. (.....now, if you clicked the linky straight away here is my little apology for you spending all your pennies in the shop on yumo digi's.....nah, changed my mind about the apology because ya'll need to be led astray... !!!!)

I was in a purple kinda mood so lots of yummy purple papers got printed off my pooter from my Happy Happy birthday cd  (Pressie time colours if that helps at all) and Nevaeh got coloured in using Orchid, Amethyst and aubergine and some cool grey promarkers.

A good old splodging of dusty concord distress ink and a bit of nestifying and she was done....right up until I decided she needed some pearl maker pearls on her dress.....then she was done!! romfl!!!!

I used my scraps of purple paper and my SU boho punch to makes a pretty flower to go at the side of the nestie and my martha frond for some fronds, fab way to use up my scraps!!!
The quote is pooter made in word.

Huge Thanks to victoria who has told me that the challenge over on MIC this week is purple so I am entering this cute little Nevaeh into their challenge xx

Well, my mummy has made us yummy stuffed marrow for tea so I had better go peel some tates to go with it.

Thank you for popping in on me again!!! I promise not to post again today......

Huge hugs Lou xxxxx

Happy Birthday!!!!!!

Morning peeps!!!

Hope you are all having a great Saturday so far. In our house we are having an excellent one. Mo slept in until 6:45am and then the postman bought him a super super exciting present from a very dear friend of ours.....I have had a little Indian running around my house ever since!!!!
This is the best  piccy I could get for now as he is having so much fun running around shooting his arrows at cowboys!!!

My cute little Indian Mo is going to a party in a couple of hours for one of his little friends at school. I cannot believe they are all on their way to turning 7 now, it doesn't seem so long ago they were all 4 and off on an adventure to school!!! anyway, Mo was supposed to be helping mummy with making a card but had cowboys to get so I had to do it on my own!!!

I chose  the Brithday Boy colourway from my Happy Happy birthday papercraft factory, the little monster digi stamp and a few of the characters in the alphabet. Like Mo, Rhys's name is a bit of a rarity when it comes to finding a name card so my workspace on Happy Happy Birthday was just perfick for this card.
I added the alpha's first and then popped my little monster slightly over the R. I used the writer for the happy birthday text, the text used is called kontrapunkt and I love it for boys. I printed it all out and then added a bit of september song ribbon and a few card candies.

And here's inside...you have to imagine the white rolled up paper tucked in the slit is a £5 note.....Scott is currently off on a mission to the post office and is bringing me one back to swap the paper for!!!!

I am entering this cute little card in the following challenges.....

Ok, better get my butt into gear and get my Little Indian in some party clothes!!!

Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Owlette!

Morning peeps!!!

How is everyone this morning? great I hope? I am just having a nice cup of tea and a bloggy womble before I go to get pack ups done for work and school for me and mo!!

I also have this little card to share that I made a little while ago for the  Tiddly inks steampunk releases. I can't believe I forgot to post here in my bloggy, derrrrrr!!!!

This classy chick is Owlette. I love her cute little owl. I used my SU sense of time set to help me decorate it and the steampunk paper I just found when googling one day, I love it though I can't remember where I got it from!!!!

I just love that cog stamp in the SU sense of time set, it is fab and I used frayed burlap distress ink to stamp it and I love how it comes out.
Right then, time to get a bit of a move on asI have another 9-5:30pm day at work. It was great going back to work yesterday and the day went so quickly. I am really pleased with how my new work hours will be as I get the best of both worlds, time at home and to be around for Mo and then time for me at work which I love. Scott is always home on a friday due to working long hours mon-thurs so its all good really!!

Anyway, off time for me!!! Huge friday hugs

OMG!!! Frizzy Jynx!!!!!!

Hello again peeps!!!
i did try to keep to the one post today but then....well...I just had to go shopping over in Krista's Saturated Canary etsy shop too........

Now I am completely blaming my purchase on my Tiddly Inks teamie Emma who showed me the linky to the shop on facebook!!!!!! Bad Emma!!!
So yesterday,I went for a pootle in the shop and saw Frizzy Jynx who totally and utterly reminds me of my cheeky little niece, Boo, who wouldn't give me a kiss on saturday when I saw her and stuck her tongue out instead!!!
Total trauma when I poped to the shop to get her today and couldn't see her.....argghhhhh. One email to Krista later and she was back in the shop, (Thank you soooo much Krista) waiting for me to buy her!!! SOLD- one Jynx to Lou!!! but seriously OMG, who could resist her??? she's fab!! Krista designs for sugar nellie but Saturated Canary is her own digi shop and its fabulous so you definitely neeeeeeeeed to go!!!

After pressing the send and recieve button a zillion times in the space of 5 mins ('cos ya'll know that makes the email come quicker right.....?? lol!!!) There she was.......(with a friend Neavah to keep her company of course.......) ready for some printer treatment!!!
A few chrimbly coloured promarkers later and she was done...oh and bling too, a girl needs bling......

The gorgeius dp's are nice and patchwork patterend so this little cute card will fit in perfectly with the passion for promarkers challenge blogs patchwork theme this week. The promarkers I used for Frizzy jynx are...
blush, soft peach, peach, burgundy, berry and crimson, olive green and pear green, tan caramel, cocoa and burnt sienna and pastel biege to shade around her, phew !! big listy!! and for the I love promarkers challenge blog there is a fab metal christmas tree charm too!!!

And so she is my christmas card to my cheeky niece. We love christmas in our family so I decided to go with a happy winter sentiment then I can give it to Boo super early!!!!!

This piccy below is to show off the sparkle in her hair.......
I had fun with my yummy distrezz it all with this one and ripped a bit of the paper to add a lurvely christmas tree charm.

I promise I am going to bed now so I won't post anymore tonight!! lol!!!!

Huge hugs Lou xxxxxx

Book Boxy thing!!!!!!

Papers and images from Happy Happy Birthday
 papercraft factory from Funky Hand.

Hello peeps!!
I saw a box just like this on my lovely friend Chris's blog a week ago and just had to have a try at it so I googled and found a tutorial HERE and have had a really fun time making it. When I first saw the tutorial I thought it looked a bit technical for me but once I had (....made 3 really big messes, romfl!!!....) had a little go at it....:) I got the hang of it and have made 2!!!!
So this one is todays and I am entering it in a couple of challenges. The challenges are...

Simon says stamp multifold card challenge...this was a lot of folding!!!!!

So here's a side view of boxy......
And here is the inside.........
Oh I had so much fun making this!!!
I used the Birthday Boy colourway from the happy Happy Birthday papercraft factory, (which is due out in 5 more sleeps!!! wohooo!!) and a few of the awesome digi stamps and hobo font from the workspace. Then with the help of a bit of foam I popped out my beer mug inside the box.

There is also a bit of martha embossed zig zag punch with some hand stitching in.

So I think thats me for today unless I feel a bit makey tonight!!!! Off to make oneself a quick cuppa before I go and fetch Mo from school, he went pootling in the gates all happy again today so thats 3 days with no tears!! woohoooo, go Mo!!!!

Huge hugs and thank you for peeking!!!
