Stamping stitches!!

Morning peeps!!

We had rain last night so its a lovely clear and crisp morning here today, phew! yesterday was so muggy!!

This is my little share for this morning and there are a couple of challenges I would like to pop it in for too.
The challenges are:
Paper Sundaes Faux or real stitching.
Simon says stamp A stitch in time.
A spoonful of sugar Sewing.

Now, my sewing on this project is Faux stitching. It is a stamp set that my very fab friends Fleur and Lou enabled me to find...and buy!! around a year ago and I have to tell you I would not be without this set, it is awesome and I use it all the time.
It is from the Kelly Panacci range of Hampton stamps and is called  SC0370 Kelly's Borders. There are 11 different borders in it and the wibbly stitching is my fav.

The photograph is of my amazing Nana on her wedding day and I adore this photograph. I printed it out onto canvas.  (mmm...confession time....Scott printed it out as I wasn't sure on the settings to use for the camvas in my printer...!!) trimmed it up a little with my scissors and then pulled the threads out a bit to get the frayed edge. Then using white SU craft ink I stamped the white stitching stamp on it.

I had to stain the lace a bit as it was rather white!! so it got a good old distress inks antique linen treatment!! A bit more 'stitching' was stamped onto the patterned paper with versafine sepia ink and the flowers I made with my SU boho flowers punch and a mini papermania one for the teensy stamen bit in the centres. The fronds are martha of course!!!! :)
I made myself a swirl of bling to match with my anita's mini gems and then mounted it all onto some gorgeous thin chipboard sent to me by an absoultely awesome friend in america.

It is 6.5" square and I am going to turn it into a wall hanging for my Grandad. It is their wedding anniversary next month but sadly my Nana is no longer with us so I hope he likes it and it doesn't make him sad. I am going to make my mum one later too.

So I guess thats me for now!! might be back later if I feel awakwe enough to do some crafting tonight (mmmm...doubtful as the dreaded hayfever kept me snuffling and itching my eyes most of the night!!)

Thank you for popping in on me huge hugs Lou xxxx
