Evening peeps!!
Well, I was a chick on a mission this morning and I had a plan of craftiness......then the phonecalls started of people wanting to come and meet my gorgeous girly and ....yup crafty time went out the window...!!! awww but she is soooo worth it!! (...and might I add, she has had more visitors here today than I normally get in a whole year!!! he he he he!!!!)
Once the Holly visitors had gone, we just had time for lunch before we all went to freeze ourselves silly watching Ryan play football...Little Mo and I had a cunning plan though...we would keep warm for the 2 hours of football by walking the gorgeous girl around the park across the road from Ryan's football pitch. Its called Hartsholme Park and is beautiful. We all loved it. Holly was an absolute star with all the other zillions of doggies enjoying a freezy sunday stroll and Little Mo was mezmorized by the mahoosive lake of frozen water with ducks, geese and seagulls walking across the top of it!!! we also caught the last 10 mins of Ryan's football match, which was a 7-1 win for Ryan's team so a perfick day for us all!!!
Anywhoo, onto my card!! I sneaked out to my craft room (...mmmm well, I say sneaked but I was followed by one Holly dog who kept me company by sprawling out to sleep on my craft room floor! it is so lovely to have some company out there at night agani since my beautiful Zaky went to sleep).
I had printed out my stunning star paper. Its a Freebie from Anice at Funkyhand. She made it for the January Blues challenge and I absolutely love it! you can find a linky to it HERE
I had 2 challenges I really wanted to join in with. they were...
Here's the sketch, I love it!
Does anyone else fear the 'boy cards'... I do, I am 100% pants at them so when I saw the awesome sketch over on FAS I was sooooo relieved!! I know I only needed to use the layout of it but those stars just inspired me completely ( thank you girlies xxxx)
I cut my stars out on my trusty cricut with a nice little shadow behind them and then stamped my little rope swinging boy straight onto the star shape. It looks so cute. I coloured him up with my promarkers and then stuck them all down onto my gorgeous starry blue paper. The little 'buttons' on the stars are made using a couple of card candies!! I just poked some thread through them with a needle. The little 'happy birthday' is from a LOTV too.
So I think thats me for today!! I am sooo sleepy after 2 huge walks with Holly but I feel really good for getting some proper exercise again!! I have lost 10lbs so far this month so I really needed a bit of an add to the daily routine to keep it all moving off!!!
Right off to watch Wild at Heart now!
huge hugs Lou xxxx
