Saturated Canary Challenge 27- Office Supplies!

Hi there Peeps!!
Its time for a new challenge over on the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog and this week it was our gorgeous Caz's turn to pick our theme and ooooooh she came up with a fun one!!! This weeks challenge is to .....
Use Office Supplies on your creation.
How much fun is that? I loved altering this notebook yesterday. I took my little pile of officey stuff.......
A notebook, file folder, paperclip, washi tape, yummy 'What the librarian reads' image and a cute little gromlet from my stash!! I also just had to add some string,a cute cloud journalling card Krista sent me a little while ago and her business card which I attached on with a mini bulldog clip that I glossy accented onto my notebook on top of some scraps of paper that I cut with my Fishtail Stax die-namics.

I ripped a little bit down the side and slid a bit of book page behind it,then sewed a little thread through it and tied it into a bow, cute!!

Here is a bit of a closer piccy of the part with my librarian on. I coloured her up to match the papers and the notepad and I love how she came out. She has glossy accents on her glasses and mug too. She is stuck down with a bit of washi tape.I added a couple of bits of paper from my scrap box and the little cloud attached with a paperclip. I really love the smashy feel of this little bit.

Last week I got an email asking how I do the colour on glasses to make them look real. First, thank you for saying they look real :) and how I do it is to colour up my image as normal, including the skin and eye colours through the glasses and then when that has all dried off I go over the lenses of the glasses with my satin promarker and add the glossy accents over the top.
Glossy accents is kinda tricky to get a piccy of sometimes but it really does look cute so is well worth buying!!!

Well I will be hard at work while you all read this so I will be popping in on you all once I get home. Don't forget to pop in on my canary teamies over on the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog as their creations are roughly a zillion times better than mine so don't miss out!!!

Thank you for popping in on me

Oh come all ye crafters!!!!

Afternoon peeps!
I have had a wonderful morning with my mum and she is doing so well. The surgeon didn't have to do the major pinning this time and instead took out some more discs and a large amount of bone before he did his little cage and pinning thingy and mum feels so much better so I am so happy. We had a little drive and a walk around a few shops and she did so well. I have some huge DT catching up jobs to do now she is looking much better, it knocked me for 6 worrying about her over the last couple of weeks and I just couldn't concentrate properly on anything. Now I feel like I am floating happily in Lou Land again!!!

So my share for today was made with the help of a very gorgeous Little Mo. He saw the hole in the centre of the star I was making and said it would look lovely with "Twinkle Twinkle little star" in so being an ever so good mummy I gave him a pen and told him go for it!!! it looks so cute. He is saving it for his Great Grandad's christmas card now!!!

And how gorgeous are those papers???!!! they are from the new Oh come all ye crafters christmas download range from Funky Hand, click on the piccy below for more details because there is an awesome multi buy offer!!
Christmas Tree download
This was is my first make but oh boy am I hooked on these papers already!! I printed the whole lot out and am going to love wombling through some makes with them so much.

I cut the little star from the 'Fabulous Finds' cricut cartridge in the zingy green coloured paper and then just popped it onto a base of the stars and the red paper from the download.

Then I just threaded some stitching thread (in red, zingy green, dark green and brown to match the colours of the papers) through the slot in the star.

Right, I need to have a quick boiled water with Lemon before I go fetch Mo from school and strip the beds ready for washing...though I fear its going to have to be tumbley drier dried because the weather here today totally sucks!! the wind is awesome but the showers that keep plomping down with it are not so!!!! lol!!!

A Christmassy Bathtime!!

Morning peeps!!!

After a bit of a pants weekend with the icky monthlies I am back in action and popping in with a little make for you this morning and I was feeling in the christmas mood so Kraftin Kimmie's Brigette got a christmassy bathtime!!!

She is the first Kraftin Kimmie stamp I have coloured up so I had to have a bit of fun with her!!

The papers on this one are just gorgeous. They are Glitz Joyeux Noel and I have to admit to a good 30 mins of 'stroke the paper' before I actually managed to cut into it!! he he he!! I cut round some of the gorgeous little pennants in the paper and tucked her under them.

Brigette is coloured up with promarkers and her bubbles got a little bit of Glossy Accents treatment :)

They are  corners are Cherry Lynn Lace Deco B and the twine is MME Merry and Bright.

I had some fun making the little charm too. I stamped it onto some shrink plastic using Jet Black Staz on and then coloured it up with some pencils. Then before  heated it to shrink it up I inked around the edges with a Memento Red Letter dewdrop inkpad. Then when it shrinks there is a lovely coloured deep edge around it. I tied a little bow and glued it on to finish it off.

The sentiment comes with Brigette and when I showed this card to my little Mo he said " wow, Mrs. Claus looks really happy in her bath after wrapping all those toys for santa mummy!!" so I was super pleased I had coloured her hair in grey!!! too cute!!!

I  have Scott all to myself today while Mo is at school. The weather is dreadful, its so dark and pouring with rain, ack!!  so I think we will just be pootling around at home but it will be lovely all the same. I am a bit behind with bloggy reading after spending most of the weekend in bed with my wheaty bag and painkillers so I will probably get some bloggy catching up done too!!

Right best get Mo sorted for school!!

An Alice themed wedding card...

 Morning Peeps!
Hope you are all having a great friday, I have just had a quick chat with my mum on the phone so I am feeling much better today. Her bed is one that is able to sit up so the nurses let her sit up a little last night which she said was lovely. She said the room service needs to be worked on a bit though as this morning she rang them at 6am for a cup of tea and they brought her a bedpan instead!! romfl!! I will know more about what they had to do tonight or tomorrow but it was just so lovely to hear her voice.

So today I have a little wedding card that one of my lovely friends at work asked me to make for her. When I asked her a bit about the 2 ladies getting married she said they loved Alice in wonderland so I decided to go with an Alice theme.

The heart is a sizzix die and I stamped one of my distressing stamps onto it, imagine how happy I was when I attempted to read what it says and it had the word wedding in there too!! yey!!

The corners are Cherry Lynn Lace Deco B and I cut those in white so they popped out. The paper is from Tiddly Inks, I love this paper and always use it on Alice themed cards, it just goes so well and I made the banner by typing out the words on my pooter and then cutting it out with my fishtail stax die-namics.

I followed the same theme on the inside and just added a queen of hearts playing card...

I really love how this one turned it, it looked so nice.

Right got to get myself going, its time for work!!
thank you for popping in on me

Zombie Smash!!!!

Evening Peeps!!
jeesh I have had one busy day but somewhere in all of it I was totally determined I would get a SMASH page done with this piccy of Mo we took ages ago! he has green zombie eye sweets over his eyes!

I have had it and the little sign printed out and glued up through my creatopia for at least 4 months and kept picking it up and putting it down and then this morning whilst I was wombling through phone apps/games on my phone I saw one called 'Zombie Smash' and that was it!! I was away!! ....course I had to print that one out too!! lol!!!

The gorgeous zombies themselves are from the gorgeous Krista Smith over in the Saturated Canary store. They are...Zombie Philly, Zombie Niamh and Rollerskating Zombie.

I coloured them in with forest moss distress inks and promarkers and then cut them out. My poor rollerskating zombie got her legs chopped off in true zombie style!!! he he he!!!

I had a flick through my smash book, I have the pink one, and just knew the green page with the spooky ravens was the one to use...it reminds me of the film 'Birds'....lol!!

And my little Mo!! he is stuck on using an action wobble and omgosh how much fun are they???? I think I have spent most of today just wibbling him around!! too much fun. Here's how it works...

LOVE IT!!!
Right I am off to get myself some nibblies, I have been so busy today that I kinda didn't eat until tea time and now I am sooo hungry I could eat tea all over again!!!

Huge hugs Lou xxxx

A little autumnal fairy....

Morning Peeps!!

I have a little autumn themed share for today!! I was so inspired by the Bingo challenge on the Lili's Little Fairies blog (I chose the lace, gems and brad line of the bingo...then added a few more bits too...I don't think I have a CAS bone in my body!!!) and the 'A hazy shade of Autumn' challenge over on the Papertake weekly blog , I just had to have a make last night....after I had finished drooling over Paul Hollywood...I mean the  cakes....on  The Great British Bake Off..:) :)

This is one of my fav LOTV stamps, Dandelion Clock, and I love her to bits.I printed out a nice wodge of 'orange october' papers from my Craft The Year Away cd and then coloured her up to match them.

I then decided she looked a bit too neat so I stamped on the Grunge Corners and then embossed the other 2 corners with a sizzix embossing folder and gave it all a good distressing!!! then I added one of the For You sentiment circles too!! The flowers, lace and gems are from my stash.

This little card is sitting in my ETSY  shop just waiting to be bought :) he he he!!

So I have a busy day today!! Mo's little breakfast buddy will be here soon and then its playing and off to school for them both, then I am off for a drive to meet my grandad and fetch his washing!! ooooh I am sooo lucky!!! he he he!!! this will be my job for a couple of weeks now as tomorrow my lovely mum is going in for her spinal surgery. I have to be honest and say I am terrified for her. It was so painful for her last time and if things don't look good when the surgeon goes in he is going to put a metal rod down her spine :(  so if you have any spare cyber hugs tomorrow can you send them my mums way.

Right, cuppa, bloggy womble and then let the day begin!!!
Huge hugs and thank you for popping in on me

Its on the sentiment, just one simple die cut nestie circle that I then stamped my sentiment on!! simples!!!

My stamp is one of the gorgeous new Saturated Canary Wallflower. She is just awesome, this was her first inking and she stamped a dream!! I paper pieced her shoes and the top layer of her dress to match the papers and then cut out a couple of the little journalling shapes from the papers too pop behind her. She is  coloured with promarkers and popped up on some silicone so she didn't melt into the background.

Tiddly Inks challenge 94- Make it like Asa!

Image- Vampboto and his bat from the Robot Holidays set.
Paper from MelStampz.
Morning everyone!!!
I am so excited today because the Tiddly Inkers are back from our summer break and ready to get you all going on the challenges again over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog, and we are easing you all in with some really fun challenges too.
The first of which is ..
Make it like Asa!!
and here is Asa's card for your inspiration
You can use the sketch or the colours or even the image...as long as you use a Tiddly Inks image and the photo for your inspiration.
I went for the sketch option because this layout is just beautiful, and me being me it just had to be a halloweeny one!! romfl!!

I adore this little vampboto! he's just adorable. I coloured him up using just 2 colour tones of my promarkers- Cool greys and reds.
The paper comes from the awesome Mel over on Melstampz. This lady is legend and I adore everything she makes and she is so kind to share it all with people too. Thank you so much Mel xxxx

I added a teensy bit of spider web for his cute little bat to sit on and it was done, simple but so much fun!!
Don't forget to pop in on my Tiddly Inking buddies over on the challenge blog...they are back in perfect swoon making form!!!

Mo slept in until 6:10 am this morning which is fabulous but means I was a bit late writing my post this morning and Scott was a little late leaving for work! he he he..... human alarm clocks are fab!!!!

My first play with a Bildmalarna stamp!

Afternoon Peeps!!
I am a bit late popping in today as my mum called me on the way home from dropping Mo off at school and we popped out for breakfast with Scott as I needed to pick up a new wing mirror he had ordered for the car.
So its a new challenge over on the FAS challenge blog this week and Ruth's sketch is an absolute stunner. I LOVE layers and this one is just perfect. Here it is....
Don't forget you can flip it round and resize the sketch, as long as we can see it in use on your project we are happy bunnies!!

I have never used a Bildmalarna stamp before so you can imagine how excited I was when one was just sitting there in my Dies to die for DT pack, squeeee!!  This one is Mimosa Hat and she is so sweet.
I decided to use her and inked her up in Memento Rich Cocoa for a softer look to the stamps edges and then coloured her up with this little pile of promarkers...
The little butterflies floating around the edge are from my Memory Box Butterfly delight die and the little 'Thank you' sentiment is from the Die-Namics airplane greetings die and stamp set. I ripped it along the bottom because it always looks sooo good when my gorgeous friend Pops does that, I am all for trying new things today!!

I have popped this card on E-bay so if you want to buy it here's the link :)

So don't forget to pop in on my awesome teamie Ruth and see what she created using the sketch.
I have 2 loads of ironing and another load in the washing machine to get done now so feel free to rescue me from the pile of doom!! he he he!!
Thank you for popping in on me

ooooh I love this Die-namics Lollipop Treat die and Stamp set!!! I have wanted it from the second I saw a sneak peek of it and it arrived yesterday a la Tracy from Dies to Die for!!!

I used the stamps in the set to spice up my orange cardstock. I stamped the centred 'BOO!' twice so it popped out a bit using Versafine Onyx Black because its just such a gorgeous crisp inkpad.

The super cute little spook is from the Die-namics Halloween Charms die set, I LOVE him! and tied on with a little bit of MME All is Bright twine.

( Lou seriously thinks that she should take her big shot, yummy new dies, versafine ink pad and glue to work tonight....he he he!!)

Get Funky Wordbooks challenge....

Phew!! its the 15th September already?!!! it must be time for a new challenge then peeps!! and its little ole me setting off the challenge over on the Get Funky Challenge blog this morning.

And this month is a really good one and I think you will all enjoy it too because it is what drew me to Funky Hand in the first place all those years ago and Anice has made the most awesome FUNKY FREEBIE for you all to join in and you don't want to miss it!
This months Get Funky Challenge is.....

WORDBOOKS

So it can be anyword, any theme as long as it is a wordbook!! and..
As always you must use at least one Funky Hand product on your wordbook..:)
(its an easy rule and not much of an ask.)

I used the Huge Funky Love download for this entire page. Its awesome because along with the gorgeous wordbook pages you get matching A4 papers too, I used those for the base of my page.
Huge Funky Love downloadable craft word book
Its the best £4:59 I have ever spent.

Then using my corel paint shop pro x on the print layout page I opened and dragged in the wordbook pages I wanted onto an A4 size page layout. I love doing this because mini wordbooks are so much fun. I don't often use 'Word' for resizing but I guess it could do the same job really too. Did you spot it on the layout?! Here's a closer look at the pages...

I added on some little die cuts onto the patterned pages and have left the other sides plain for Mo, Scott and I to journal on when we feel ready....it always helps if you can make a scrapbook page without having lots of tears at the same time :( I am still getting emotional every time I drive past Holly's favourite field to walk in with the stream she so loved paddling in.

There are so many ways that Anice's wordbook downloads can be used and I hope my scrap page of my little Mo and Holly has given you some inspiration on how to use them with a bit of a twist.
If you don't have any of the wordbook downloads or cd's with them on,our gorgeous Anice has created a Freebie for you with 4 pages of alphabet to help you join in, simply print them out and attach them to pages to make your own wordbook up. Click on the picture below to take you to the store to get the download!!

Free craft backing papers to download for card making and scrapbooking

I can't wait to see what you all come up with because I love seeing the wordbooks in action and don't forget that those awesome Funkette teamies of mine will be popping their creations on the challenge blog too over the next month so keep an eye out for them too :)

Mo has a golf lesson this morning and when we get home I will be delving into this yummy parcel that I recieved from tracy yesterday :) :)

and this gorgeous treat from Krista too....

and Mo spent last night snuggled up with his gift from Niamh, Philly and Krista.......
He named him 'Bonbo' and when I went to check in on him last night before I went to bed he was still snuggled up with him....
Awwwww!!

Have a great saturday everyone, thank you for popping in on me
Huge hugs Lou xxx

No character stamps and embossing and a bit of exciting news....

Morning Peeps!!
Last night I was having a read of my google reader and the challenge from the TOMIC challenge blog caught my eye and I just had to join in!
Their challenge this week is No character stamps and embossing. it sounded like such a good one as I have loads of the gorgeous little scene type magnolia's that I always want to put a character with.
I decided on this one, 'Welcome to a  lovely new home', isn't it sweet? and I stamped it on an old book page before colouring it up with my promarkers.
Then I cut it out with my lacey circle nesties.
The next thing on my list for the challenge was the embossing. I chose to do use my brick embossing folder on some kraft paper. I gently coloured the edges of my bricks with my sandstone promarker to make them pop out even more.

Now I totally love my new swirl with flower leaf Doo Hickey die, its gorgeous. I cut it and distress inked the leaf with a teeny bit of faded jeans and forest moss, then the swirl with forest moss. I then placed it so that it kinda snuggled the house stamp and added a couple of flowers from my stash to the leaf cuts on each side.

Then I popped on a few teeny punched flowers to the little loops on my nesty, added a punched heart where the swirls crossed and a little computer generated sentiment that I punched out with my SU Jewellery tag (...yup, I use it a lot!! its one of my favs!!).

And the exciting news........:) :) :) :)
Tracy over at Dies to Die For emailed me a couple of weeks ago and asked me to join her DT!!! I am so excited and its twice as nice as I get lots of bits from Dies to Die For because Tracy always has an awesome stock of the MFT Die-namics which I lurve!!  Her DT are all awesomely talented so I hope I can match up to their talents soon!!!

Right, Off to work for me today! Mo and his breakfast buddy, Sophia, are just watching a little bit of TV so I need to rustle them up and get them ready then jump in my yummy new car and get going!!
Have an awesome day peeps
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Bev is our challenge mistress this week (...Lou has visions of Bev clad in black leather cracking the whip ....romfl!!) and she has chosen a theme of ...
All the B's
so you need to use at least 2 things beginning with a B to play along
and You must use either a:
Saturated Canary Digi
Saturated Canary rubber stamp,
or Simply Sassy rubber stamp .

I just had to use a boy so I headed straight for the little guy Krista drew for charity. If you click on the cute little piccy below it will take you to the post on Krista's blog all about these 2 very special little digi's that Krista has created for charity to raise money for

saturated canary digis
So for my B's I went for ...Boy, Brown, Blue and Bunting!! its soooo easy!! I love it!! and if  you need a few moments drooling, go over to the challenge blog now and see what the rest of my gorgeous canary teamies have been making, they are fabulous.
My bunting was made with my SU Jewellery Tag punch and the sentiment is from my SU pennants set, along with the little stars I stamped on them and the image.

Well its time for as snuggle on the sofa and to eat some of my packet of maltesers that Scott has just brought home for me from the shop, yummy!!! A very tired after his school trip to 'Horrible Histories' Mo can be heard making littl mini snoring sounds which is too cute and I have had to resort to fluffy pj's and put the heating on tonight because it is soooo cold! I think summer has gone now :(

Huge hugs and thank you's for popping back in!!

Little Big Tree ....

Image- Little Big Tree by Kim
Papers- Quilted Holly by Kim
Sentiment- Christmas Sentiments by Barbara Anne Williams
Hello Peeps!
Hope you are all having a fabby wednesday. Little Mo has gone off to watch 'Horrible Histories' with his class on a school trip so I have had a bit of a  play with my Cuddly Buddly DT make.
I chose this cute little image by Kim called 'Little Big Tree' and some of Kim's delicious christmas papers,  'Quilted Holly'.
It is such a pretty selection of papers, if you click on the piccy below it will take you straight to the shop :) ( I am sooooo helpful!! he he he!!!!)
I coloured up my image to match the colours of the pink papers and then added a bit of blingy snow.
On the inside I shrunk her some so that she could sit down at the bottom on the right. I shifted her size and position using my psp program on the print layout setting.
Before I forget I have had a few questions emailed to me that I need to get answered so I'll do that now!! ( sorry to all the peeps it has taken me a week to answer to xx)

Charms...
I get my charms from all over the place...I think I am addicted to them!! mostly they come from my friend Clare's craft shop, Cloud 9 in Horncastle or 'The Works' shop.

How much I sell my cards for..
£2 for a 5x5 size, £4 for the 8x8 ones, plus postage. Contact me if you want to buy one :) he he he!!

What do I do with my cards when I have finished making them...
I stamp my personalised stamp on the back, get the right envelope to go with them and then bag them up and price them. They then go into a big plastic box that I sometimes take to work to sell or my mum and her friends take the box to the pub to sell them there!!!

What programe do you use for printing your digi's.....
Corel Paint shop pro x.

I think that's it!!! I am going to grab a cuppa and put the heating on!! I cannot believe how cold it is today!!!
Thank you for popping in on me!!

Tiddly-ing on a tuesday!!

Image- Little Miss Sunshine from Tiddly Inks
Printable quote from Kimberly at ' This Kalil Life'
Morning peeps!!
I hope you are all having a fab morning. I am so excited today because my awesome mum bought me a new car and I picked it up yesterday!!! ( when I say new, its actually 10 years old but to me that is mega new!!!) so today I will be having a little explore around in that and a good test drive once I have dropped little Mo off to school.
Mo also slept in until 6:30am this morning!! that's 2 days in a row now but this morning gets special mention as I am sure the extra 1hr30 mins in bed has helped to shake off a bit of the cold of doom and my runny nose is almost gone, I figure if he sleeps in again tomorrow my sore throat will go too!!! romfl!!

So this morning when I popped my google reader on Kimberly from This Kalil Life had made an awesome bright and cheery quote from the Dalai Lama which I absolutely loved. I just had to print it out right away and make myself a cheery little poster for my wall and there is no Tiddly cheerier than Little Miss Sunshine from Tiddly Inks. I absolutely adore her, she just makes me want to smile every time I colour her up!!!

Right then, I best get me a bit more organised and get Mo off to school so I can pop a cd in and do some driving around in my new car, brum brum!! romfl!!!

Thank you so much for popping in on me today! Have an awesome day everyone
Huge hugs Lou xxx
