Starting a little something special from Mamma for the little guy!!

Morning gorgeous peeps of the world!!!

Oh my! I am flying into bloggyland by the seat of my pants this morning as Little Mo actually slept until 7am!!! I can't believe it...and its so much nicer than the normal 4:30am snuggle call!! lol!!!!!

So we have about 6 mins before we need to leave for school but I wanted to share this little altered house I have started making for Mo's birthday pressie from me. He LOVES 'Where the wild things are' so I just had to use Tiddly Inks King of the Wild ones for him.

The gorgeous papers are from the Crate Paper story teller 12x12 stack. They are perfect for a little guy who love exploring.

I am only half way through his little box but I am so enjoying it, making things for your little peeps is just the best feeling ever.

The little stones (...Mo has a thing for stones..!!) are stuck on with hot glue so they don't tumble out every 5 mins!!!

I will pop another piccy on next tuesday so you can see its progress!!

Huge 'oh my gosh I am so behind because my little guy slept in' Hugs from Lou xxxxx

Sledging!!

Stamp- Whimsy stamps Time for Tea Sledging.
Coloured with Promarkers.

Morning everyone!!!

I hope you are having a wonderful monday morning so far. I was in the festive mood again so it was time to ink up this Time for Tea designs stamp!

I went for those stunning kaisercraft Just believe papers again because they are just beautiful. I layered up a few of the snippets I had left from last weeks card then fussy cut around my sledging girl.

I popped her out on some foam so she wasn't flat on the card and popped one of the die cuts from the paper pack just behind her head.

Now...do you like my new watermark?!! eeeep!! I do!!! my gorgeous hubby made it for me in photoshop elements. He made me a black one to print out on the back of all my cards. I do have a similar stamp but I keep forgetting to put it on or I just can't be doing with the faff of finding the stamp after the card is finished!! Lazy Lou!!

So all my blank cards now have this printed on the back of them!! yey!!! they are all ready to be decorated!!! I love my husband so much because he is so good at these things!

He says he is also happy to make them for others at a cost of £2 each so if you would like one please email me ( theres a little link down my sidebar) .

Today I have a scan to get to...urgh...one of those awful lady ones...urgh.......!!! but after that I might get some crafty time in!

Thank you for popping in on me!

Hairy and Scary!!

Afternoon all!!
We've had a busy morning as we had to pop into town to get Mo's disposable camera developed from his sleepover at the farm and get his eyes tested!!

The photo's are just gorgeous!! so cute and totally Mo!! the eye test didn't fare so well and he needs glasses for tv, computer, writing, reading etc. He wasn't really very impressed but I am sure he will be ok with them!! we took him to get his first ever Subway sandwich!! he had a beef and cheese salad meal! very exciting!!!

So onto my card!!! I love this funny little guy!! he is being released this weekend along with some super cool new papers over in the Funky Hand shop!!.
The new download is called Hairy and Scary! and if you click on the piccy of them below, it will magically ping you to their home in the shop!!!

Hairy and Scary downloadable backing papers
You can see a whole gallery of gorgeousness from the funkettes on that page too :)

I paper pieced my little monster up and then added some goggly eyes for fun!!! he is really cute...but scary of course ;)

He loved his little adventure. He was absolutely tired out last night when we picked him up and he got a little tearful at bedtime because he had missed us terribly at bedtime but said he was very brave! I am so proud of him.

Right, got to go, I have got oodles of washing to do and need to get a furball princess plodded round the block!!!

Have an awesome afternoon peeps!

Saturated Canary challenge 57....Distress......

Afternoon peeps!!!!
Its time for a new challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog and the theme for this weeks challenge was chosen by our gorgeous Becky. It is.........

"Distress"
so for this challenge we want to see you distressed!!! so think torn edges, super inky edges, tears etc!!!

Now for the details....

You must follow the theme using either a:
Saturated Canary Digi
Saturated Canary rubber stamp,
or Simply Sassy rubber stamp

So my card features the super cute Butterfly baby stamp. I coloured baby up with a mix of flexmarkers and promarkers and then got to work distressing some yummy layers of delicious papers!! I love love love these papers.

So today marked a huge step forward in the life of my little Mo. Siutcase packed and happy smiley face off he went to school for his first ever sleepover trip....actually his first ever sleepover full stop! and I am so brimming with pride that he felt comfortable enough to give it all a go and so very very thankful to a truly awesome teaching team for giving him the support he needed to feel able to go for it.

There were a couple of little hiccups in the night last night where little feet came pootling down to our bedroom....3 times.....to ask what he should do if he missed us at bedtime or needed us in the night. Lots of snuggles and kisses helped with this problem and seemed to do the trick. I told him its ok to miss people but to have oodles of fun at the same time and he seemed to understand that.

This morning he spent a very long time looking at the schedule school had printed out for him and he kept that in his pocket. He needed a few extra snuggles at the school gate and still kept checking the schedule until bell time!! he asked me to stay until he had gone to the classroom but even that is a massive step forward for him and I am just so proud. I am hoping bedtime goes without a glitch for him and he sleeps really well (...because he wakes up at 4:30am on the dot every morning regardless of what time he has gone to bed the night before!!) I packed him up a little brioche and a drink of chocolate milk incase he wakes super early and we bought him the new ' Diary of a wimpy kid' book to read and my mom gave him a booklite so he doesn't disturb the others too much.

So tonight will be a new one for me and Scott! the first time in 8 years we haven't had a little cutie to sort out! ....gulp!!!! that bit is kinda hard for me, few tears on my way home but I was a good mamma and didn't let Mo see anything but excitement for his big journey.

Thank you so much for popping in on me!

Friendship is the greatest gift.....

Morning everyone!!

I am still at work so I am hoping mr blogger is good and posts away for me at 6am!! ..hopefully by 6am I have got all my bits out of their boxes, on the shelves and empty boxes tidied up...I should hopefully be in the process of taking my cages back and facing up ready for the peeps of Tesco's!!! I love love love that bit when everyone has taken their cages away and it looks all full, neat and gorgeous! I work with an awesome team of people and I think it always looks wonderful after they have all been busying away all night, its so much fun.

Anywho, onto my makey!!!!

Christmas card making is getting into full swing in my little crafty garage so I was happy to play away with this gorgeous Wee stamps stamp!! its soooo cute!!! and it was a good old traditional colours day today too!!

The papers on this card, Just believe by Kaisercraft are just stunning and the pad even comes with gorgeous little die cut shapes and sentiments. I used one of the sentiments for the front of the card and one of the journalling die cuts for inside.

I cut my stamping card out with a fabulous die, I love the edge on this one, it comes out all distressed and gorgeous, love it!!! I stamped my stamp on and then coloured it up with promarkers.

When it came to putting it on the card I popped it up with some foam to make it stick out from the card base a little. I love doing that for a little extra dimension.

I am going to ask you all a huge favour too. I am struggling a bit without my google reader. I have bloglovin but I still miss my reader :( so if you have popped in on me and want me to pop in on you please leave me a comment and when I have peeled my head off of my pillow this afternoon I will pop in and say Hi!!!

Thank you for popping in me!

Forgotten Funkies!!....Funky Little Christmas...

Papers and Toppers- Funky Little Christmas from Funky Hand.
I'm back everyone!!!

Its that time of month again for our 'Forgotten Funkies' showcase!!! and each month our fabulous Funkette's are over on our blog showing off some new makes with our older downloads.

Today's showcase is centered all around the fabulously festive 'Funky Little Christmas' download. This download really packs a punch with its paper designs full of funky and zingy christmas colours and even comes with a sheet of card toppers that are just wonderful to play with.
Funky Little Christmas

I had to use that awesome step card die again! but I knew it would be just fab for me to use the whole sheet of toppers with!! I love these funky little christmas trees, it makes such a change from the traditional colours and my fav paper ever from the download is this texty merry christmas one,its fab!! I used the largest topper for the sentiment piece inside my card, you can just see it peeking out in the photo.

The topper on the front is actually curved and look so cool but could I get a good picture of that....errrrr...nope!! so here's a side shot where I tried to get a piccy of it!!

All the little tree's are popped up on foam squares to give them some umpf...and make them look like a little happy forest of chrimbly.....

Well, that really is me done with makes for today now. I have had such a strange week I am looking forward to just having time to have a think about things today because little Mo's new school have picked up a problem with Mo. They feel he may have Aspergers or Autism and although it is a shock to actually hear it from someone else and has made me feel really sad, it is also a massive relief to us as we have thought this for many years. So I am also thankful for an amazing team of teachers at Mo's new school for noting and picking this up so quickly so we can go forward. I feel super safe knowing that the teaching team are actually looking out for my son.

Nothing will change in the way we are with Mo but it will help school to know how to help him understand the world outside our house and our family bubble a bit more. That is something he has always struggled with but I am ful of hope because he is so much happier at his new school and even wants to go on the overnight trip with his classmates so I know there are exciting times ahead, it will just take a couple of days for the shock of being supported and helped to sink in. I got to say...Mo's new school rocks!! and the teaching team are just drop your jaw awesome.

And in the midst of all my tears and emotions yesterday my little guy still mamnged to make me smile even though he wasn't here. I went to make my omlette for dinner and found this.....

Have a fantastic friday peeps, huge hugs for you all

Sk8tr......

Image- Sk8tr from Tiddly Inks.
Morning peeps!!

Its time for a fabulous friday over on the Tiddly inks challenge blog so I thought I would share a diary I made a couple of weeks ago with the awesome new Sk8tr. Isn't he fab?!!
I coloured him up and did some fussy cutting around the edges of him. Then I covered a little day to a page 2014 diary with some We are memory makers paper and glued him to the front. I die cut the 2014 and then glued it on too, then to finish it off and protect it all for use I gave it a really good spray with crafters companion spray varnish. I love how it made him look all worn into the paper!! so cool!!

Right, I'll be back in a few with my forgotten funkies post for funky hand!! we have a lovely little showcase of christmassy makes from the DT using Funky little christmas download.

Morning peeps!!

I am still working away and this posty is all scheduled so I hope Mr Blogger is behaving today!!!

I was in a christmassy mood and ooooooooh this awesome step card die came in my DT box so I just had to give it a whirl (...oh my..you need it its fab!!!).

I love, love, love this stamp too! it is just so very cute. All coloured up with promarkers and then it was onto fun putting the step card together.

I love the dimensional 'pop' of this die! its way to much fun to put together and it looks so pretty when it is standing up all finished.

I just added an extra little tab and sentiment onto it. It really didn't need much more than the awesome die and wonderful stamp on it.

Scott, Mo and I are all still full of cold :( and Mo is struggling a squidge...just in time for SATs week....gulp!!! so calpol and vapour rub at the ready this morning...and a zillion cuddles which are totally the best medicine ever!!!!

Poppy....

Writing by Mo.
Thumbprints by Mo, mummy and Daddy!
Stem and leaf drawn by Mo!
Morning Peeps!

Not a make from me this morning, its a family Daubney collective make this morning!!!

I asked Mo to write a little for me about what he knew of remeberance day, this is what he wrote. Then Mo, Scott and I did our thumbprints in red paint to make the poppy and Mo printed his 'peter pointer' finger for the center. It might just be a little thing and a small family effort but if it helps my 8 yr old to think about all that have been lost to war I am one happy mamma.

So I am sat at my pooter now, Scott has fixed the skirting board in the lounge and is on the changing the tap washers in the bathroom and downstairs loo mode and Mo is constructing a mass train track in his room with his brio. Poppy is fast asleep on the settee.

I had a wonderful day at my little craft stall yesterday and sold a whopping £27 worth of bits for me and £17 for my sister :) I can't tell you how exciting that is for me as it was my first outside with a zillion strangers experience! I won't be doing loads of stalls because i just craft for a hobby and I don't want to get lost in that whole make it a business thing because then it would be no fun but I am so super happy I was brave enough to do it because I had 2 major I am not doing it wobbles whilst I was poorly last week!!!

I am a bucket of snot this morning, along with Scott and Mo who are also buckets of snot (...we are family....its good to share.....!!) and I have a whole load of DT bits to catch up on after a week of no makies but the sun is shining and I am a happy bunny!!

Huge hugs to you all

2 birds with one Batty notebook!!

Image- My Batty Hero.
Morning everyone!

I am still sick so it is a super good job I had made this notebook last week for the new Tiddly Inks Anything Goes challenge because my gorgeous Boss Lady Denise over on the Passion for Promarkers DT said I could use it for our new challenge over there today too which is Geeks in Glasses

The Passion for Promarkers challenge is sponsored by Letraset this week  and you could win a 6 pack of flexmarkers!!
Don't forget for the Tiddly Inks challenge you need to use a Tiddly Inks stamp or image to play along.

I decided to  alter a little notebook for my Anything Goes and My Batty Hero is so cute for that. I love his little bat goggles!!!
right got to go, need to take some paracetemol and try and get myself going for the school run!!

Mo had a little cry yesterday morning but the teachers were amazing with him, I left feeling so very sad watching him go in upset :( I got home and put the kettle on and was just having a good old cry when the phone rang. It was his school letting me know he was absolutely fine. Now I don't know about you but I think that is so thoughtful and pretty amazing. I was so cheered by that phonecall, and when I went to fetch the little guy he was full of smiles, super happy and super chatty!! here he is before he went off to school yesterday, it was the first day he had worn his school uniform ( hence the wobble we think when he got to school as it was a change and he doesn't do change    ) I took some photo's and he wanted a 'cool pose' one too!!!

Have a great day everyone

Pop up wedding!!!

Morning everyone!

Please excuse me for being a little squidge lazy this morning but I am poorly so I am copying and pasting my post that I wrote for the DTDF inspiration blog to pop over here too.

well on Friday I gave you all a choice of which die I would use on my bloggy post this morning on the DTDF facebook page and this is the one that won by oooooodles of votes!!

And it was fun to play with too! I cut it out twice and then carefully snipped the carriage out to use on the front of the card so that I could have patterned paper o the inside of my card. Using a double sided paper made that super easy to get it all co-ordinated and there was still enough left over for making a couple of embellies to match!! yipee!!

Here's the inside....

Tiddly Inks new release day!!!!!

Image- Dinomite.
Papers- Cave Folks.
Good morning peeps!!!

I am a little squidge late with my post this morning as all my best laid plans went snoringly out of the window last night when dopey here fell asleep right after trick or treating with a very sleepy Mo!!!

I had planned to take piccies of the other cards I had made with this new release and write my blog post all scheduled styley last night but due to being in the land of nod none of that got done! then this morning I had a dog walk to do with the goregous Tyson and then the school run followed by getting my nails all pretty with the gorgeous Kristie so I had to wait until now to do my post!!

But oooooooooooh my gosh!!!!! you will so adore the new tiddlies!! please pop on over to Christy's blog for tonnes of gorgeous creations by the Tiddly Inkers! if you have been hankering for boy images (..Mo and I totally have!!) then this is the release you have been waiting for!! its just perfect!! and I will be sharing a few more makes over the next few days too!!

I just had to go for Dinomite! this little trio is so perfect...plus Mo loved it!!!! how cute is this?!!!.......
and I teamed them up with the fabulous Cave Folks papers!! I love this set and they were a match made in dinoland for this card!! it really didn't need anything else than the papers and the image but I couldn't resist adding a little hessian strip!!

Right, I have to go! I have the 'I am due on mega munchies + headache' so I need to go feed that beast with a warm salad and paracetemol but before I go, here we are all ready for Trick or Treating last night!! Boo was a zombie schoolgirl and Mo of course was a Mad Scientist and me?! I am the witchy in the mirror!!!!

Thank you for popping in!!
Huge hugs Lou xxx
