Image- Shine Bright- Flapper Couple from Tiddly Inks.
Promarkers- Burnt Sienna, Caramel and Sandstone, blender.
Dies-
Morning peeps!
I hope you are all waking up to a wonderful wednesday. Its a super soggy one here so I am hoping it is going to brighten up for Armed Forces day. I live in a village near 2 airfield that planes take off for the Battle of Britain memorial flight and I don't want to miss it.

I am popping in today to share my make with the gorgeous new couple from Christy at Tiddly Inks, Shine Bright- Flapper couple. I just absolutely adore them, as soon as I saw them I knew I wanted to make a birthday card for Scott's Nanna with them, they are just so cute.

I went for vintage photograph tones for this one by using just 3 colours and my blender pen. I added a cute little Errol Flynn moustache to the guy!! I LOVE how they came out!!! I added some bling (...that I really really couldn't get a blooming photo of so had to resort to fully frontal light pointing mode on my camera!!!!!)

Here's a piccy of the whole card...
Aren't they just adorable?!

Time for the school run! Thank you for popping in

Sour cream cuteness!!

Stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink.
Coloured with promarkers.
edges of paper inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink pad.
Tutorial for sour cream container HERE.

Morning everyone!!

I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend. I have! it was my birthday on sunday and we had a lovely relaxed day. I was brought crumpets with golden syrup on and a cup of tea in bed at 4:54am and we had a lovely womble around the car boot sale at 7:30am, got myself some stamps and little flowers from the crafty man that was there. We walked the dogs and then just chilled for the rest of the day, just lovely!

So onto my makey for the day! I had a lovely little bit of crafty time and wanted to make Mo a little something for back to school day so I went straight for one of my fav Tiddly Inks stamps sets, Mini and Many friends and made a sour cream container I could stuff full of little penny sweets.

These little sour cream containers are too much fun for those little scraps of paper you have left or even good old loo rolls! I stole ....borrowed Mo's little crimpy tooly thing to pinch the tops and bottoms with that lovely wriggly pattern. A little button from my stash of zillions with a teensy bit of twine through and a good splodge of twine to the top and it was finished.

Thank you for popping in everyone. Have a wonderful monday, I will pop in on you when I wake up after work.

Huge hugs Lou xxx

Summer wedding baby style!!!

Afternoon peeps!!
Its that time of month again for the funkette's to do our 'Forgotten Funkies' showcase!!!
Today's showcase is centered all around the gorgeously funky and zingy 'Summer Wedding' download. Just look at these stunning papers, they really pack a summery punch and the matching alpha's are just gorgeous..... so they are most definitely too good to be forgotten!!!

Summer Wedding

I don't mind sharing with you all that this card nearly didn't get made. I lost my funk with some going's on yesterday but after a day with my gorgeous babies I felt crafty again and decided to go baby with my make! I got this super cute little baby dresser step card from the Silhouette store a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't resist using it with these papers, they were just right for a little bit of cuteness!!

Don't forget to pop in on my gorgeous funkette teamie's over on the Get Funky and Craft blog!

And the reason for getting my happy back....these pickles...love them to bits...

aren't they gorgeous...though I may be biased of course.... ;)

Dancing with stars Tilda for Divas by Design......

Stamp- Dancing with stars Tilda.
Promarkers..
Browns- Burnt sienna, caramel and sandstone.
pinks- Burnt orange, coral, sunkissed pink and blush.
Blues- Midnight blue, denim blue, pastel blue, cool aqua.
Tonne of blender pen!!
Morning all!!

well this little make for the new Divas by Design challenge today nearly didn't make it!! yesterday was a bit of a doozey for me as while trying to help someone else out with an image of hers that had been stolen, the very same thing had happened to me :( ....and several..not 1 or 2 ...but several of my Tiddly Inkers teamies. The person who did it had even left parts of our watermarks on the images she had stolen...grrrrrr. And I only stumbled upon this lady by trying to help someone else out! ack!! So last night I was sad :( it took me until 9pm and a tonne of kind words and messages from friends to cheer me up and I finally felt a squidge crafty again so along came my creation for the new challenge, which is a totally rocking one.....
Use any Magnolia stamp!
ooooooooooh perfection!!!!!
we are sponsored by Magnalicious this week too!!

I absolutely adore my magnolia stamps. I do not have nearly as many as I neeeeeeeeeeeed! romfl! but to me they are just magical. I don't know what it is about them but I just love them! my first stamp I ever bought was a magnolia stamp and I told myself I couldn't buy one until I had learnt how to colour...now....don't laugh...this was the first magnolia stamp I bought and coloured all those years ago!! oh dear...can't believe I am sharing this...all the way from 2009 when I first started colouring using whisper pens!!!
te he he he!!

Anyways, today I am feeling better about the whole images stolen thing. There were enough of us cross for the lady to remove our work from both her facebook crafting page and her personal page too so thats all done and dusted. I am always surprised by how icky some crafty people are so don't forget peeps, watermark up! put your watermark right over the focal point of your card, so if its a stamp, splodge that watermark over the stamped image!!

Oh and while I am on my high horse, just pop into your pinterest boards and delete every uncoloured/ unwatermarked image you may of pinned from an artist to colour up...thats just wrong too. If you want it, go buy it from their shop.

Huge hugs and squishes
Lou xxxx

I used the super adorable LOTV stamp, Blossom. I absolutely love her! I coloured her up and then nestied her out!!

Pearls was easy, splodged some self adhesive ones from my stash on and then......pins....(...pins?!!! omg...small scream from Lou..never use them...luckily saved from argghhhhhness by the gorgeous Tracy at Dies to Die for and her inkido heart pins stock..phew!!!!!) you can just see it nestled into the little fir cones and flower splodge in the bottom left of the card. I glued some teeny beads to the sharp end of it to hide the ouchy bit!! daft Lou.....!!!!!

Right, I am off to try and make orange curd now to make some jaffa cake inspired choccy cupcakes for Mo and Scott!...it could turn out badly but its worth a go!!!!

Tiddly Inks challenge 134......Pastels...

Image- Bathing Beauty from Tiddly Inks.
Morning peeps!!
Its time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and this week its....

Pastels!!
( so think pastel colours on your papers and tiddlies!!)

I went CAS and made a card for a dear friend who is having a squidge of a tough time at the moment :( she always calls me her lifesaver so I had to squeesh that sentiment in there somehow!! he he he!!!

I printed Bathing Beauty straight onto my card blank and then gave her a good old colour on some pastels blues and yellows along with her pinky skin tones. I love how it came out. Sometimes a little bit of simples says it just perfectly without all the Lou froo-froo!!

I'll be back in a little while with my Passion for Promarkers new challenge make!

huge hugs Lou xx

A wedding explosion......

Papers- DCWV Nana's nursery 12x12 boy stack.
Evening peeps!!

I have been pootling along making a little wedding exploding box this weekend! There are lots of piccies for this one but it was quite tricky as I am a pants photo taker!!!

Its just beautiful! Inside all the little pockets are some cards that I printed some lovely wedding quotes on. Its quite big but oh did I love making it!! it just fits a 12x12 piece of cardstock for the final layer of box in the piccy below.Less Lou waffles...more piccies!!!...

This is how the box looks all closed up. I didn't want to overdo the top so just popped the name of the couple and the date on with some nesty squares and a couple of precious hearts.
..and this is how it goes when you take the lid off! sooo cute!!! the little hearts stems are made with soft acetate and I glued the hearts and dunked them in glamour dust, they just float and sparkle! I strengthened where they adhere to the box with some teeny punched flowers, the smaller size precious hearts die cuts went on this layer too.
Please excuse the classy yellow elastic band!! My hands are too chunky to hold this together for a piccy!!! the bigger size precious hearts die cuts went on this layer.
Some punched martha stewart scalloped hearts went on this layer, with some La La Land hearts banners popping onto the last layer.

And thats me for today!!!! The little guy had oodles of fun playing outside with his little buddies this afternoon.  am very lucky because they all take his repetition, funny ways and loudness in their stride and play like most children play despite Mo having to run in to us quite a lot when he is worried about something!! ( he finds it hard to play but loves to try so hard bless him, but needs a lot of reassurance from the sidelines on things people say/do that make him worry!!) He was out like a light in our bed tonight...and did the hugest fart just as I was taking this picture!!!!! it was sooo funny! He was fast asleep!!!
Thank you for popping in on me!

Flutterby to say Hi...

Hi everyone!!!

I am on a bit of a go slow today!! I have had this blog post in draft for 2 days!! Lazy Lou!! but I am getting my butt into gear now and getting it posted because its fab friday for the Tiddly Inkers and I want to play along with the ooooh so cute challenge over on the papertake weekly challenge blog :) :)

This is one of my absolute fav Tiddly Inks stamps ever, she really is just so cute! and I just had to have another go at the light colouring and blender pen with my promarkers again, I am loving the effect you get from it.

I was also in one of those ooooh I never use that colour moods so whipped out the darker blue mulberry paper and of course my Die- Namics Blueprints!! you can so never get enough of those!! a good old 'pow' of magnolia papers and I was happy!!!

This little cutie will be winging her way out to australia for Scott's Grandma's 90th birthday in a couple of weeks...need to make a card box for it or my little butterfly is going to get squishened on the way!!!

Right off to eat peanut butter and choccy fudge and count down the time until we go fetch Mo! half term starts at 3:30pm and I just cannot wait. I absolutely LOVE having my little guy at home with me.

Huge hugs Lou xxxx
