En's Grey, white and red colour challenge.

promarkers- cool grey 1,2,3,4,5.
cardinal red, crimson and burgundy.
Afternoon peeps!

I have to admit to having a fantastically lazy day today!! we pootled over to Horncastle to spend the last of my chrimble pennies in Clare's shop (...which might I add is extremely easy to do because it is full of yummy stuff!!!) Mo got himself some glow in the dark fimo which he is very excited about using!
Then we got some yummo fruit and vegetables from the fruit and veg shop next door which I love and a  fruit  croissant (mmmmm, yeah, it had to go wrong somewhere...!!!) from the cake shop. ( no worries...had it with a cuppa so all calories melted now.......)

Anywhoo, onto my card for the day!!!! My gorgeous crafting buddy Enfys is starting a monthly challenge over on her blog Going Buggy and this month she has set a colour challenge of  Grey, white and red. Oh goodness, that was a challenge and after 3 more cups of tea and pasta and vegetables for lunch, Mr. Mojo finally knocked at the door with an idea!
I coloured up my little Sprocket with my promarkers ( colours under my card piccy) I decided to use her as most of my grey and then dipped into my scraps box for a couple of metallic grey scraps from my colorbok 12x12 pad.Its a lovely pad with dark greys, ligt greys and pearly coloured cardstock in. Here's a sprocket close up!! the sakura starburst just doesn't want to show up but its dotted around her and looks lovely IRL!

I had to put my new TH weathered clock die into action too and the hands made a great charm. I cut the clock in white and then coloured it in with my cool grey 2 promarker, the darker shading is my cool grey 4, my promarkers are just perfect for sneaking in those little die cut areas! I did the same with the hands and then tied them on with some red rafia.

A little bit of embossing and general Lou fiddling and adding on later and my card was done!! I really enjoyed having a little play with this one as its a colour combo I don't use much, thank you En xxxxxxx

The little sentiment and heart are from Technique Tuesday and I love them, the white cogs are from my SU sense of time set which I totally adore!!!

So what are you all up to tonight? Scott and I are going to snuggle up and watch 'Troll Hunter' when Mo goes to bed. I am in a big film mode at nght at the moment, I think its the dark, chilly nights but its sooo much fun. Last week I did all my Vin Diesel films, we finished off with 'Pitch Black' last night ( couldn't resist watching 'Riddick' first even though 'pitch black' should of been the first!!!) I am so thankful for a hubby that likes staying in and watching films, it gives us some real nice times together and I love that.

Right must go and look at what I can do for tea now!! Thank you for popping in on me
Huge hugs Lou xxx

  3. Will have to pop over and see En! I coloured two more "Harry-Ron-Hermione" trio's today for the harry potter card orders I have so I have used plenty of grey - think it would be cheating though so might have a think about what I can do :)

  14. I love this card too (wow, I love all your cards!). Even tho' steampunk is not my favourite, this card just draws me in. She is beautiful. I am too new to colouring in (and card making) to attempt a mono-colour scheme yet, but this is a great inspiration.
