Mini calendars are too much fun!!!

Morning all!! I am a bit late in getting here today with a little teeny make for you to peek at, I was at work last night and had to catch a quick power nap before fetching Boo!!! I am being naughty like our Debs and not telling you which download these papers are from, I am just going to say they might be new and they definitely are very gorgeous!!

Now I have a thing for beermats... I have always had a thing for beermats and collect them ( sad Lou!! lol!!!) but luckily my mum's friend also works in a pub so she gets me extra ones for making little projects like this. I just cover them with papers and you have the perfect board to play with!!

I used 3 papers from the 'download that shall not be named'  (:) he he he!!!) for this make. I covered my beermat with a darker green paper and then sanded around the edges. Once I had done that I dabbed around the edges with some fresco snowflake paint  and added a little band of lace across the middle.

Then I adhered my calendar tab to the base and got busy cutting flowers and punching leaves!!! I wanted it to be ok for use all year round but that was easy to do because the papers are so funky you can't tell they might maybe be christmas ones....... ;)

Right , got to go fetch the Boo!

Thank you for popping in!

Passion for Promarkers challenge 209... Summertime Blues!!

promarkers used... Sandstone, cocoa and burnt sienna
pastel blue, denim blue and midnight blue

Morning Peeps!! I am a little late writing my bloggy post this morning as I was at work last night, I caught an hours snooze and then it was weight watchers (another half a pound off! wohoooo!!!) and then I treated Mo to a mini breakfast at our village cafe for some mummy and mo time so we have only just gotten home! It was so nice though and I love that he ate it all as he has been so off his food since being poorly.

Anywho!! Onto this week’s Passion for Promarkers challenge which has been set by Lisa from Team 1 and she has chosen ......
“summertime blues”.

Lisa would like you to use blue & 1 other colour only (not including skin/hair colours).  Don’t forget, as always, to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Letraset products (i.e. promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.
Our generous sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy stamps and the lucky winner will receive 1 stamp.
whiff of joy

I was in an Edwin kinda mood and still had some of those delicious Pink Petticoat papers and sentiments sat on my desk so I got busy with those!! I was going for a vintage sepia photo kind of effect! he came out so cute!

Right, going to get me something to eat now! I am determined to get to my 10% goal for next week so there was no sneaky breakfast for mummy in the cafe!!! summerfruits on an oatcake for me I think!!

Have an awesome day and don't forget  to pop in on my gorgeous PFP teamies creations over on the challenge blog today, they are all gorgeous!

Stamp- Stamping Bella Kisses for my sweet.
Morning everyone!!

I hope you are all soaking up a fabulously sunny monday morning!! I have a chrimbly card make to share today!!  arghhhh christmas already?!! he he he he!! but seriously this stamp just reminded me so much of Scott's grandparents that I just had to get my holiday cards in swing!!

They are so cute!! I love it!!

I coloured them up with my promarkers and then set them aside while I made up my cardbase with these delicious Lilybee Designs Christmas Cheer papers. The little button is from my Die-namics blueprints 1 set, popped on top of a banner cut with my fishtail layers stax and I tied a little bow with the twine and glued in on top.

I used the awesome sketch by Donna over on the Deconstructed sketch blog for this card, its a totally gorgeous one to use....

Mo and I are picking Boo up today for a play, Mo will be most grateful of some cousin time after the weekend he had, poor chap :(

Thank you for popping in!

what a week......

Hiyah peeps! here's a quick low down on how our week has been so far.....

Mo was a bit poorly on tuesday night while I was at work so scott was up all night with him... Mo was ok ish wednesday but kept saying he had a sore tummy... on wednesday night he got the bump on his left eye in the piccies above after being sick at 2am ( after seeing the out of hours Dr and being sent back home as he hadn't been vomitting....!!). And so the bump...he got that when he banged into his bedroom wall and left this mark on the wall......
Scott and I moved his bed a few nights ago so that he had lots of room to play on his bedroom floor during the holidays! he must of forgotten after being so sick and he went back into his room and plomped forwards into what he though was bed...only it wasn't there so he hit the wall instead. I actually think I cried more than him, bad mamma!! as you can see, poppy gave him a good check over the morning after to make sure he was ok!!!

Anywhoo, thursday night we spent in A&E after Mo woke up in terrible tummy pain and vomitting again...

Lots of pain meds and prodding and poking later and he was sent home with what the Dr felt was a undescended testicle causing him great pain and could we visit the GP to get a referral for a scan of his groin.
Friday....after a snooze Mo was in pain all morning and worse by the afternoon but we had a DR appointment so we went to that and she sent him straight up to the hospital. He was in terrible pain :( he wasn't allowed to eat or drink and had to have oodles of pain relief ( scott and I almost passed out at the amount of ibuprofen in the syringe...) but by 8:45pm he was like this....

its hard to see the icky horrible colour he was in this photo as the lights were off on the ward, but it broke my heart to see him like this. The complete breaker was when he had to have blood taken from his hand, oh my, that was bad, he was terrified and really screamed the treatment room down, it took 20 mins to do it.

He was his normal Mo self throughout though and when the DR asked him what his pain felt like when it was  bad Mo replied...

" like crocodiles are eating me"

He slept well though and on saturday morning he wanted to write a status update on my Ipad for the friends who had been asking after him. He wrote...

I had a good sleepies. Yesterday they takes some blood out my body out my hand and that was horrible and I really cried. The Dr says my winkleberry (testicle!) is ok but I have poorly limnods (lymph nodes) in my bottom tummy (groin). I hope they let me try some breakfasts today ( no food allowed yesterday, just a little soup at bedtime) I think I need some nibbles of something and daddy will come back to see me soon love mo xxxxxxxxxx

after 5 Drs crowded round his bed, poked and prodded and totally freaked him out, being told he has swollen lymph nodes in his left groin area but there was nothing they could do surgically so we were allowed home as long as we return to the Dr as soon as he has anymore bad pain. He was tired and cranky but fairly well yesterday but picked up around 6pm and did not want to miss Grandad's retirement meal so this piccy below is pretty much how he spent the meal after managing to eat a little bit...
As I type he is out with Daddy collecting sticks so I think he is ok today. He has had one lot of calpol so seems to be doing ok with pain today so I hope that continues until his pediatric appointment in september!!! I hope you all had a calmer weekend than me!!

I am going to sleep soooo well tonight!!!!

Little sisters and sandcastles....

Image- Little sisters and sandcastles from Saturated Canary.
hiyah everyone!!
Its my turn to post again over on the Saturated canary challenge blog because our gorgeous Alby is off playing at CHA!! and I was in a summery mood this morning (....which is quite good as I was at work last night and haven't slept yet because its the school holidays and I have 2 gorgeous little peeps to play with!!!)

So, after painting boo's nails and adding a little gem here and there ( ..pink on toes and blue on fingers!!!) and doing a smiley face on Mo's middle finger with 2 gems for eyes and a smile drawn in, I was deserted for skateboard practice outside. I sat in my crafty room and did a squidge of coloring while they played. Its so lovely to be able to do that. I coloured up the fabulous Little sisters and sandcastles image. Oh how I love this image! it so reminds me of the 2 children I used to be a nanny for! they go to lanzarote every year and they love the beach and I have a few pictures of them playing away in the sand! (...and I just know Claudia will of had a fabulous time breaking Hugo's best efforts at sandcastles when they were dinky!!!) but they adore each other so much so I just had to use the 'Shore do love you' sentiment from Pink Petticoat.

And oh my!! how about these awesome papers?!!! aren't they just gorgeous!!! I adore them! Mo as already stolen half the pile I printed out for ' Making stuffs'!!!!!

Once I had finished trying to use as many of those gorgeous patterns as I could on my card I got to finishing off my image. I wanted it to look all distressed and like an old canvas photo so I dabbed some crackle accents all over it. I cannot get it to show up in the photo which is soooooo annoying but here is my best effort at playing to get it to show....
Right then, espresso is calling me big time so I am off to stoke up my Tassimo and sort that out....my head is starting to nod and I need to stay awake for the fresh fish man to deliver my fish! ( I LOVE fish and eat tonnes of it! so a £20 selection pack is just right!! yummo!! hope I don't eat it all tonight!! he he he he!!)

Thank you for popping in!

A little bit of Tilda.....

Pens- Promarkers.

Morning everyone! I hope you are all looking forward to a super lovely monday.

Its my turn to post over on the Dies to Die for blog and  I have a little share with one of the stunning new magnolia stamps this morning. I love her, she is just so adorable.

I stamped her up and then masked her off so I could stamp the background around her. then I popped on some chalk for the clouds and got to work on the base of the card. I really had to make myself cut this paper,it is just absolutely stunning. I added a little crochet trim and a length of the sweet lovely lace die to make it pop.

Once I had popped tilda over that I added a little joycrafts heart and made myself a rose with the smallest size of the layered rose dies cut 5 times on the strip of the paper I had left! waste not want not and all that!!! the little bow around it is some twine I found hanging around on my crafty desk!....there's a lot of random stuff hanging around on my crafty desk...I found half a twix left under a pile of paper the other day! not sure how long it had been there,it was still in the wrapper and still in date...and still tasted good with my cuppa!! romfl!!!!

Well I had better womble off! Mo has 2 days left at school ( yes...sigh!) but he was a lot better over the weekend so hopefully when he gets up he will be a happy chappy!!! and I have a Costa date with Scott at 9am! I love our mini dates! he went off to work at 6am so I am dropping Mo and his breakfast buddy Sophia off at school and then going straight into town for a tropical blended ice!

Thank you for popping in hugs Lou xx

A bit patchy...!!!

Morning everyone!
I wanted to share one of the cards I made the the magazine feature I did a couple of weeks ago today. Our sunshine seems to be hiding today so I decided on this zingaliciously bright patchwork card!

I really enjoyed making this one and its such a fun way to use up a few scraps! I stuck them all on and the drew some doodley stitches around the edges of each piece.
Here's the instructions if you fancy having a quick go at one....

You will need:
5 different printed papers ( your scrap pieces would be awesome for this card)
plain cardstock cut at 5" x 10"
Instructions:
Score and fold your plain cardstock at 5", this will be your card base.
Cut your biggest piece of paper at 4 7/8" x4 7/8"  and distress the edges using the edge of your scissors.
Cut the other pieces at 1" x 4 5/8", 2 2/8" x 3 4/8",2 2/8" x 2 2/8", 1" x 2 2/8 and again distress all the edges with your scissors.
Adhere them all to your largest piece of paper in the same layout as shown in the picture.

Using a black pen, doodle some faux stitching around the edges of the patchwork pieces.

Today Poppy has 2 little buddies over to play, Monty and Ellie, as their mummy and daddy are having a big BBQ, not much fun for pawsy peeps so they are spending the day with us instead.

Mo is busy constructing something lego-ey! I keep hearing rustles of his hands swooshing through the bricks so I am not sure what is getting made up there today!!! and Scott is busy hoovering the car out and giving it some TLC after its 2 trips to the garage this week to get bits sorted out on it! so me, I am going to have a womble on split coast stampers and see if there's a tutorial I fancy having a go at because I finally feel oodles better today. The sore throat is hanging on but is so much more easy to cope with without the sore ear so I just keep sucking sweets to stop it getting to dry!!

Have an awesome sunday peeps, huge hugs Lou xxx

Violet Vintage with No DP's....!!!

Afternoon peeps!!
its my turn to post a bit of something over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog later today and I saw a challenge I just had to have a go at yesterday!! some of my gorgeous friends are on the Creative Romance challenge blog DT and their challenge this time is No Designer papers.

Omg major gulp and leap out of my comfort zone but their creations got me so inspired I just had to pull up my slightly bigger then they were when I weighed a stone more 6 weeks ago big girl pants and hop outta that comfort zone!!!!

So I rummaged around my cardstock and found some embossed card, plonked it in the prinetr, spoke to Violet Vintage and asked her to print nicely, spoke to card and asked it even nicelier not to bleed when I coloured and spoke to texty stamp and asked it to stamp nicely on embossed card!!!! and wohooooo! it all came together!!!!! and even more amazingly for me I managed No Dp's and CAS all at the same time! go me!!!

I decided Violet needed some cool glasses to go with her dress and cool chick kinda look so after I had coloured up her eyes I added a little lavender promarker and some glossy accents. To stamp the text over her I used my frisket to mask off her legs and handbag and I really do love how that came out!

So if I can give you one bit of crafty fun today it is to step out of your comfort zone!! huge thank you's to the Creative Romance teamies for inspiring me to go for it!

Physio did not go as planned yesterday as there is a problem with my left leg and the lovely lady spent all the time trying to work out what was wrong with it. To cut it short I no longer have a reflex in my left leg and it is kinda sleeping a bit when I need to lift it. I am good fro walking through she said I have a limp. Now that made me cry like a big girls blouse because I hadn't noticed that at all :( but the good news was that the loosing weight is really helping the nerve damage in my back. So left leg is getting scheduled in for some 'Conduction testing' (...lou imagines standing in middle of a field in a lightening storm waving a big metal stick.....)

Mo is much better today, he was feeling a lot more himself by teatime yesterday and wanted to go for our normal treat night tea which for him is chippies, battered sausage and beans. He only fancied chips and a plain sausage but he ate them nicley. I have stopped feeling sick and just have sore ear and throat pain so that is a big improvement too, a bit more resting today and then I hope I will be fixed!
I will leave you with some piccies of my guys shootin hoops at the park last night. We took a picnic blanket so we could have our treat tea in the park, Mo loves that as it has this hoop and omg can he get that ball in that hoop! it was funny last night because some big boys came and they couldn't do it and told Mo he should be a basketball player, well you can imagine how much that made his day can't you?! he was still chattering about that as he fell off to sleep last night!!
Thank you for popping in on me

Fab friday with the Tiddly Inkers!!

Morning peeps!

how are you all today? great I hope. I am ok-ish! I managed a little sleep last night..only to be awoken by a poorly little Mo!! so we have had a night of running off to the loo and hence to say this morning he is washed out and has a sore little bottom :( poor chap. He is especially sad as its his choir performance at school today and Scott and I were going to watch him :( a day of rest for the little guy and me...I have physio! if I don't fall asleep while I am being pulled and poked around it will be a miracle!! Though the bonus is I don't feel sick anymore, just a stonking sore throat and ear but at least I know I am on the mend!! he he he!! and the car is off to the car doctors for a new waterpump! what a day!!!

So enough 'Lou feels slightly sorry for self' waffles and onto my makes for Tiddly Inks fab friday!!! The top one features Mini. I stamped and coloured her in and then decided she looked a little lonely in that big circle alone so I used the flower from the same set to go around the edges of the circle!!

And then onto Danny below. Now I am a doof brain!! I thought he hadn't been posted for my thursday throwback make last week as I couldn't see the post anywhere on the challenge blog and panicked it was too pants to go on so I didn't blog his cute little ass!!!!
Then I emailed Christy last night about it and she said it has been posted and gave me the link....to the post on her blog....I think I may be going insane!! thursday throwbacks have always been posted over there! I am such a noodle head at the moment!!!

Image- Danny's Duck.
I so love the duck! I loved colouring him up!! I think its super hard to see in the picture but for the background i used a grunge stamp. I stamped it in versamark embossing ink and then chalked over it with green. The 'you are one of a kind' sentiment is from the Stylish Friends stamp set. I printed Danny out twice, once on plain card and then once on spotty paper and then paper pieced him up. Then I added some shadows on the top of the spotty paper so it didn't look flat.

Right, I am off to see if I can cheer Mo up, we knew something was brewing as he hasn't been eating much again! hey ho! an extra day of snugglage is always good!!

Thank you for popping in on me! have an awesome day everyone!!

Huge hugs Lou xxx

Passion for promarkers challenge 207....Create a scene..

Afternoon peeps!!

I have just got myself up out of bed as I was working last night so this post is a squidgey bit late!!
Its time for a new challenge over on the Passion for Promarkers challenge blog and this week is h as been set by Lou from Team 1 and she has chosen...

 create a scene”
(i.e. a cloud background, some grass and flowers or even snow or sand on the ground etc.)

As long as your image has some form of a scene around it you’ll be fine.  Don’t forget, as always, to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Letrasetproducts (i.e. promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.
Our sponsor this week is the ever generous DigiStamp Boutique and one lucky winner will receive 6 digi images of their choice.
DigiStamp Boutique logo
I decided to go with a little magnolia pirate pressie for Mo. In the holidays I  always send him some little treats through the post and he LOVES pirates so I made him a little treat box.

My 'create a scene' comes in the form of a little mossy sea wall for edwin to sit on and of course a cloudy sky with seagulls! I think he looks so happy sat there!!

I stamped and coloured him and then got to work on the wall using Burnt sienna, cocoa, caramel and sandstone for the bricks on the wall. I then added some little patches of green moss using pear green, olive green and holly and then went back over the top with my sandstone. I love how it came out.

Then it was on to some super fluffy clouds using midnight blue, denim blue, pastel blue and dotting with my blender pen.The seagulls I just drew with my letraset finepoint marker.

Once I had finished the little pirate scene I had some folding fun making the cute little box....
I used nitwits fbq Aye Aye Captain for this box and some good old black card!
Here he is just peeking out at you!! lol!!! and just below shows the edge I created using the negative cut from the Die-namics notched border die.

The little waves actually form a little pocket for me to pop a little note for Mo in.....
and the little draws are made using some blank matchboxes I bought from The Range a while ago. I am going to fill them with teeny treats before I post it to Mo!!!
ooh I almost forgot!! Edwin is coloured up in the following colours...

skin- blush, sunkissed pink, coral.
greys- cool grey 1-5,
top- pastel beige, khaki, poppy,crimson,burgundy.

I am popping this little treat box over in the Anything Goes challenge over on the Here Come the Boys challenge blog.

So that's me for today peeps! I am going to go get myself a cuppa and a bit of fruit for breakfast. I was going to take Poppy out for a womble in the meadow before picking Mo up but she just isn't liking the heat today at all so I am going to wait until the temp drops later before venturing out there with her!

Have an awesome rest of the day peeps and thank you so much for popping in on me!

huge hugs Lou xxxx

The sun was beautiful and we just had oodles of fun!! I love days like that! we got drenched on a couple of rides and we dried out nice and quick in the sunshine!! It was awesome!!

I have a little Tilda make this morning. Isn't she just adorable?!! I got my new DT pack on saturday morning and there was an awful lot of swooning when I saw her in the box!! they are always such a box of treasures but to find this little lady in there was just wonderful.

I also had a fabulous time playing with the new Die-namics blueprints set 5, they just keep getting better and better. I think this is my favourite one yet!! Its the flowers that swung it...and the border and the super easy matting dies...oh heck! just all of it!! I LOVE IT!!!!!

Parade.....

Image- Parade.

Hi peeps!! I am popping into bloggyland with a little Parade make! she is just so adorable who could resist?!!!

I coloured her up with my promarkers. If you are a promarkers colourer here is a list of colours, this colour palette is my favourite and most used!!!! I love browns, blues and pinks!!

Hair- flex markers antique white, champagne, nutmeg and aubourn.
Skin- blush, sunkissed pink and coral.
Browns- sandstone,cocoa and burnt sienna.
Blues- pastel blue, denim blue and midnight blue.
Pinksblush, sunkissed pink and coral.
Turtle greens- pear green, olive green and holly.

I love the summery feel to the papers too, they are Carta Bella's Cool Summer, the little patterned clouds are so adorable. Some one once asked me what I am thinking when I make my cards so I thought I would answer that over here because I am sure its how a zillion of you make your cards too.

I am always thinking happy when I create. I always try to imagine someone smiling and happy when they open it, I just love happy! so many of us can get sucked into negativity and its so easy to find yourself there too so just think happy!!!

The little circle sentiment with a button I learned from my gorgeous friend Lou. Its an LOTV postmark sentiment, they are just adorable. Lou MADE me buy them.........  :)
Using some scraps I had left over I got out my fishtail layer stax and cut some little floofy bits to go under the sentiment. The ends from the floofy bits are on the left of the card with a little pearl on. I like little added bits!! he he he!!

Thank you for popping in on me today! while you are reading this I will be having a full on family BBQ at my mums!!! Mum is doing good and walking on her stick....when we make her....grrrrr! but her pain has lessened since her  op so that in itself is a blessing.
And little Mo has been referred to a pediatrician to see if they can get to the bottom of what is making him poorly so thats good to. we go in spetember as that was the first appointment available! but time goes so zoomy and he will love love love the school holidays so we are not too concerned about the wait!

Have an awesome weekend guys!!

Henpicked just for you......

Image- Cluckers from Tiddly inks.
Morning peeps!!
oooh its friday!! I LOVE fridays!!! I especially love sunny day fridays!!! and I totally love the new Cluckers images that Christy released last week! they are just so sweet!!
Here's a little piccy of them (....they are of course linked to the shop...just to help you all get there!!!!)
I used 'daddy's card' for my make today but I already have 'cluck it' coloured up! they are just so moreish!!!

I love my sentiment, I thought of it as I was colouring away and it made me smile so much I had to add it to the card. Now I have an obsession with digi papers (...you might of noticed?!!) and the sentiment on this card is just one of those awesome reasons! you see i wanted it it white so it really popped so whilst I had the file open in my adobe elements I added my sentiment and then printed it out, LOVE IT!!!
Then it was just a case of cutting out the card base and paper with my Blueprints 1 dies and gluing them all on!!

The chicks and the rooster are cut with my scalloped nesties and I added a little bit of not sure what it is called from the garden centre and a bit of twine to make it all rustic.

Right, got to go, snuggly time with Mo before school and then the car is off to the garage for a little maintenance (...I say maintenance because I don't have a clue what Scott meant when he said what needed doing on it and maintenance looks posher than I don't have a clue....!!!)

huge hugs Lou xxx
