En's Grey, white and red colour challenge.

promarkers- cool grey 1,2,3,4,5.
cardinal red, crimson and burgundy.
Afternoon peeps!

I have to admit to having a fantastically lazy day today!! we pootled over to Horncastle to spend the last of my chrimble pennies in Clare's shop (...which might I add is extremely easy to do because it is full of yummy stuff!!!) Mo got himself some glow in the dark fimo which he is very excited about using!
Then we got some yummo fruit and vegetables from the fruit and veg shop next door which I love and a  fruit  croissant (mmmmm, yeah, it had to go wrong somewhere...!!!) from the cake shop. ( no worries...had it with a cuppa so all calories melted now.......)

Anywhoo, onto my card for the day!!!! My gorgeous crafting buddy Enfys is starting a monthly challenge over on her blog Going Buggy and this month she has set a colour challenge of  Grey, white and red. Oh goodness, that was a challenge and after 3 more cups of tea and pasta and vegetables for lunch, Mr. Mojo finally knocked at the door with an idea!
I coloured up my little Sprocket with my promarkers ( colours under my card piccy) I decided to use her as most of my grey and then dipped into my scraps box for a couple of metallic grey scraps from my colorbok 12x12 pad.Its a lovely pad with dark greys, ligt greys and pearly coloured cardstock in. Here's a sprocket close up!! the sakura starburst just doesn't want to show up but its dotted around her and looks lovely IRL!

I had to put my new TH weathered clock die into action too and the hands made a great charm. I cut the clock in white and then coloured it in with my cool grey 2 promarker, the darker shading is my cool grey 4, my promarkers are just perfect for sneaking in those little die cut areas! I did the same with the hands and then tied them on with some red rafia.

A little bit of embossing and general Lou fiddling and adding on later and my card was done!! I really enjoyed having a little play with this one as its a colour combo I don't use much, thank you En xxxxxxx

The little sentiment and heart are from Technique Tuesday and I love them, the white cogs are from my SU sense of time set which I totally adore!!!

So what are you all up to tonight? Scott and I are going to snuggle up and watch 'Troll Hunter' when Mo goes to bed. I am in a big film mode at nght at the moment, I think its the dark, chilly nights but its sooo much fun. Last week I did all my Vin Diesel films, we finished off with 'Pitch Black' last night ( couldn't resist watching 'Riddick' first even though 'pitch black' should of been the first!!!) I am so thankful for a hubby that likes staying in and watching films, it gives us some real nice times together and I love that.

Right must go and look at what I can do for tea now!! Thank you for popping in on me
Huge hugs Lou xxx

New Begginings engagement.

Image- You and me from Tiddly inks

Challenges I am entering..
Morning Peeps!!
Its an extra windy one here today so I hope the little people don't get blown away when we play outside today as I am back to work today!!!

My card today is a bit of a special card, one of 2 I need to make following all the fabby chrimbles engagements my friends have had!!! Anyone who knows me will know that I absolutely love weddings and babies and think that they are 2 of the most special new begginings any 2 people can share. I just love that feeling of new and special.

This card is for Amy and Dane and I just had to use my Tiddly Inks You and Me image as Amy has the most gorgeous red hair you have ever seen, I absolutely love it! and I wanted some kind of shabby chic looking papers so went for my Laura Ashley ones.

They are all onto a kraft card base whivch looks so lovely with the little embossed heart and I popped their names and the date they got engaged ( christmas day!!) on the little tags, they are made with my SU Jewellery Tag punch. I put some embroidery thread through them and then then through the little heart.

Of course, magnolia swirlage was needed!!!!! and then I added some yummy pearl maker pearls around a few of the edges. there is also some sakura starburst pen dotted around the couple and some red at you spica highlights in Amy's hair!! I surrounded them with some frayed burlap and faded jeans distress inks too. I hope they like it!!

Well, Mo is exploring a huge tin of buttons my mum gave him yesterday, he has been sat there for ages holding them up to the light and flipping them over, putting his favourites aside in his paddington bear treasure box! who needs toys eh?!!!!
Right better stop waffling and get ready for work!!
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

My January calendar page.

Morning Peeps!!

I couldn't resist entering a few challenges this morning..
papertake weeklys anything goes week , they are also having a 'new' theme extra if you like and the
Allsorts Challenge blog- new Begginings .

I just had to share my January calendar page with you. I just couldn't find a calendar I fancied for this year, I looked everywhere but nothing was grabbing me and when I got my new Wryn's from Christy I knew they would be just perfect for me to do my own thing and make my own calendar!! yey me!!!

I made the January page in word on my computer and then I added Wryn to the top. I placed her so that her little feet just come over the top, she looks so cute that way. Then I printed it out onto some of my yummy promarker cardstock.

** teeny edit- I have had a couple of emails from people asking for the word doc for just the calendar dates. If you would like it too please email me but be aware there will be NO WRYN on it, she is available for purchase HERE it will just be the calendar blank. The font will be comic sans and you can highlight all the page and then change to font for whatever you fancy on yours.**

On the back there are 2 little magnets. I bought them from yellow moon for Mo ages ago but they are just perfect for the back of this as it sitting nicely on my fridge side now!!

Here's a close up of Wryn, she is just so seriously adorable. I have to admit to being completely hooked on her.

promarkers:-
skin- blush, soft peach and peach.
Hair- sandstone, cinanmmon and cocoa.
Dress and bird- cool grey 2,3,4,
Top and shoes- antique pink and coral
Tree- cocoa and sandstone
Leaves- olive green,pear green

I stamped my fav magnolia swirl around the edges in frayed burlap distress ink and then rubbed faded jeans over the top to make it all smoosh together.

So I guess thats me for today. My little Mo goes back to school today and I am dreading it. I absolutely adore having him home and he is less than keen to go back today but I am sure he will love catching up with his friends, I will be lost at home without my buddy though!!

Thankyou for popping in on me!!
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Tiddly Inks challenge 77- Celebration!! and a new release!!! Squeeeeeeee!

Image- Wryn from Tiddly Inks.
Morning peeps!

Oh I cannot tell you how excited I have been about this weeks..

I have been soooooo desperate to share this little cutie with you all!!! she is of course one of the gorgeous new Wryn and Friend's from Christy and I am totally addicted to them!!! If you click on this piccy below it will take you right to them in the What's New section of the Tiddly Inks shop.
And if you go Here to Christy's blog she will tell you a bit more about them. Christy is also having a 36 hour 30% off sale so you need to go and see how to get some bargains too!!

My little Wryn is coloured in with promarkers to match the yummy DP's I used from my stash..I think they are memory makers...or American crafts.....not sure but love them!!!! lol!!!
The little celebrate sentiment circle is from LOTV and stamped in spiced marmalade DI. A bit of ribbon and a cute heart charm tied on with embroidery thread and my cute little Wryn was done!!

She is snuggled in an envelope now ready for my friend at work who is celebrating a special birthday tomorrow.

So, I am off on Aunty Duty today so will have a little houseful and a lovely man coming to look at our boiler which sounds as if it is a steam train at the moment...actually it goes between a steam train and what Mo says is "giants walking up the side of the house wall sounds" so hopefully they can sort it out!!

Have a fabby day peeps and don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and see what the other Tiddly Inkers have been up to, they are too good to miss so do go. This week we welcome Hannah and Wendy into our little team too so don't miss their cards.

Right off to search out Mo who was last seen digging at the bottom of his lego box for a red light saber...those things are soooo teeny lego size!!!

Wicked wednesdays Atc challenge- New Year!

Evening Peeps!!

well, I tried going to bed but we seem to be living in the middle of a firework display tonight! they have been going off continually since 7:30pm so I gave up and went out to do some crafting!!
I wasn't in the mood for anything projects too big, feeling kinda lazy tonight!! but then I remembered I have been a bad Lou and not gotten an ATC into Jenn's Wicked Wednesday ATC challenges yet so that was my mission!!! an ATC for my lovely Jenn!!!

Its a new years theme....perfick!!!!! and I had forgotten just how delicious making ATC's is!! Luckily I managed to find my pile of printed Ellie's from SC digi's and trimmed her down to the right size (3.5x2.5 inches) She was just right to sit inside that, phew!!I even dug out my copics for a grungey kind of look and added the year 2012 to the balloons (...in my less than nice handwriting, grrrr!!)

I embossed the edges of my ATC in my cuttlebug with my tiny bubbles embossing folder and gave them a good old distressing treatment with Faded Jeans DI, then I found dome yummy little swirls in my SU tiny tags stamp set and splonked them along the edges with some Frayed Burlap DI.

mmmmmm, this photo actually looks a bit pants so I will take a new one tomorrow, I think I have actually got a great big greasy mark on my lense from taking piccies of Mo yesterday so I really need to clean that up too!!!

happy New Year All!!! off to get a cuppa and a biscuit now before I try and nod off asleep!!
huge hugs Lou xxxx

Time Flies !!!

Morning Peeps!!

Before I go on much further I want to wish you all a super fab and very happy new year. I have had such a year of ups and downs but mostly ups and I wanted to thank each and every one of you for being my "ups"!!
You comments and encouragement cheer me up so very much and wombling along to your blogs inspires me each and every day. So huge huge hugs go out to you all xxxxxxx

This holiday has been very much family time. I haven't been out much and I have loved every minute. I have managed to spend some time with most of my family which has been wonderful and yesterday scott, mo and I had a wonderful day, followed by a fantastic night for scott, Ryan and I. Mo was so sleepy he had gone to bed before ryan arrived so scott, ryan and I vegged out on the settee and watched the Fast Five (..,,yeah again but you know you can never get too much of vin deisel....:) !!)

The clock above is the clock that we made for our parents, scott's nana and grandad and scott's sister and BIL. You would not believe how many photo's of our squidgy boys we needed to take for this clock!!!!

I had decided that I wanted the boys to be looking at each other from 2 of the windows and then together in the last one. Its a shadowbox clock so sorry about the shadows in the photo I took, they look really cute nestled in their boxes!!! I think in all we had 100 pictures of Ryan, 200+ of Mo and the just 8 of them together as they always get a good piccy together straight away!!!

I have some crafting planned for today and trying to catch up with my BF on skype!! Have a fabby new year!!

Papertake weekly sketch!!

Hello Peeps!!!

I have had the most awesome day today. We arranged to meet scott's mum and dad at pizza express for a family meal today so we pootled out to Newark. I had a quick look in next where I got myself a gorgeous top with swallows on, love it!! The meal was fabulous and yummy and Little Mo had a super time with nannie and Grandad Prickly (...Mo named him that because of his beard when he was just 1.5 yrs old and it has stuck ever since!!! I love Mo-ism's!!! they are cute!!)
Mo was falling asleep on the way home so we popped him straight in the bath to wake him up a little and watched Planet 51, he loved it and it kept him going until he asked if he could please go to bed!!!!! bless him.

Once mini man was snuggly asleep scott and I watched The Fast and the Furious 5 ( mmmmm..Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson...) then I had an itching to go craft!! I have been doing a lot of late night crafting recently!! lol !!!!
I bought these 2 gorgeous new images from Krista on christmas eve and have only just had chance to get a bit of a play with them after seeing Dawny P's yummo sketch challenge over on Papertake Weekly this week. I had to join in with the challenge because I always get addicted to a Dawny P sketch!! ( thankyou Dawny xxxxx)
Mo loved Skateboarder and Mummy loved Ellie so we got both!!!!! :)

Here's Ellie a bit closer up....
and here's the little skateboarder dude!! oh I love him so much. This one is going to be for Ryan's birthday in march. He loves his skateboard and his skooter so I think he will love this.....if Mo doesn't find it first!!!
Right, I am off to bed now as the dreaded monthlies have well and truly kicked in now and I am feeling sore!!! grrrrr monthlies!!!

SC christmas/winter challenge!

Hello Peeps!!!
Hope you are all fab this evening. I fell asleep watching Charlie and the chocolate factory after putting Mo in bed so I woke up just in time for Grey's Anatomy (......mmmmmmmm, mark and Derek......) and after being traumatised by the death of terry's hubby and general awesome Grey's Anatomy-ness I decided I needed to go craft some!!!

I also realised I haven't entered the christmas/winter challenge over on the SC challenge blog and needed to remedy that first!! so I hit my little folder of Krista loveliness and picked out Thank you as she is oh so cute!!! I didn't fancy making a card so I decided to go for a big juicy tag instead, this one is 5.5" high and around 3" wide and I love this size.

I used some of my good old papermania papers ( i am going to be so sad when these have all gone as I have been eeking them out for 3 chrimbles now!!!) some forest moss distress ink and of course the awesome magnolia swirl stamp!! I love this stamp, Lou made me buy it a couple of years ago (.....Ok, so Lou didn't push me down the stamp aisle...she just sat there making totally awesome stuff with it and I had to go get it!!!!) Oh my goodness, a couple of years ago??? oh my I really need to go see Lou and Chris do their thang again soon!!! Time has run away with me a bit recently.
A bit of bling splonked on at the top edge and bottom edge and a really cute tag for next years stash is all ready to go!! go me!!!!

It felt really nice to do a quick make (....then google Grey's Anatomy to make sure that Mer and Alex are OK in the next episode.....!!) and it cheered me up so much ( thank you Krista, mwah mwah xxxxxx)

Right, going to try and get back to sleep now as a squidgy little Mo-ster will be getting up in around 6 hours!! I am so sure I remember the days of sleeping past 5:30am.........................:)

Huge hugglies and thank you for popping in on me!
Lou xxxxxxx

Pirate Captain Ginger!!

Morning Peeps!!

he he he he!! I know its not paper related but I so had to share my pirate gingerbread man I made last week while I was on Aunty duty!!!! ( on it again today so wonder what the little peeps will fancy doing today?!)

We made a whole batch of gingerbread, cut them out, cooked them and then let it cool. Once they were cool I set the children free with icing pens and sprinkles of many different varieties!! but of course the temptation to do one myself got too great and I had to get making one myself. I asked Mo what I should make and he said a pirate...gulp!! but in the end he turned out real cute!!........then Mo ate him!!!! so pleased I got a piccy first before his quick and swift departure!!!!!

Right better get my self dressed and ready to go pick up Jake and Boo.

Funky Hand. 50% off SALE.
Its a perfect time then to get your hands on some Funky goodies!!! I loooove a sale!!!

So onto my makes! My little card you can see at the top was such a CAS make but I think its so cute! I have a 3x3 card obsession at the minute! and the matching wine bottle tag came about because I thought the bottle would look fab with a bit of decoration!!! the yummy thick coloured rafia was a range find just before christmas and I love it. the zingy green and peach tie in so nicely with the freebie paper.

Don't worry if you don't have any Funky Hand downloads yet because Anice has made an awesome  Funky 15th Freebie  and it is available here  it's gorgeous!!! I used it on all of my makes and I think its fair to say I may be addicted to it!!!!!
