Turtley happy.........

Hi everyone!!! happy monday!!

This little turtle from the Polynesian Paradise stamp setI also wanted to have a good play with my DieNamics BluePrints 26. So I decided a make with the 2 together would be a tonne of fun!! I LOVE that stitched and curved cardbase piece that comes in the set, its so easy to pop a card together when you are given the base matting!!

The ScrapCake summer city papers are just perfect for the Polynesian Paradise stamp set to go with. I even used a scrap I had left from my cardbase to paper piece the little guys shell!!

I popped my little turtle dude on the smaller balloon die and cut the happy out of the larger one and replaced it with a bit of the yummy patterned paper.

Well, when this posts I will be a couple of hours into my nightshift...yawn!! lol! but I love my job so its not a hard one to do even though I am still not feeling top Lou self its still a lovely little job to pootle along at and it feels so good putting bits on the shelves and filling them back up, it doesn't take much to make a Lou happy!!

Thank you for popping in

Making a scene.......

Stamps- Edwin with Derby Hat.
Hiking background

Morning everyone!
I am still slowly pootling back to craftyness after my bug so I went for a nice and easy plaque making session this morning!! I stole one of little Mo's plaques he bought from the craft show a few months ago and got busy!!

I stamped right onto the palque ( ..I figured lets just go for it! lol!!!) my Edwin with a Derby Hat first and then masked him off, and before I stampd the little Hiking Background I popped some masking tape over the little campfire than inked it up and stamped it a few times to make a background,

Then without even worrying about it, I got to work with my promarkers! yup! straight onto the MDF plaque!!! the surface is so smooth I just thought hey! lets just go for it and oh my! did it colour up lovely!!

I was so surprised with how nicely it worked and blended. I might varnish it at a later date but to be honest it looks so cute in its naked state I didn't think it needed it!!

Right, time to go! woofers to walk and then shopping to do...blurgh on the shopping!! but we need wash powder and food so I can't escape it!!!!

Huge hugs for you all

Merry Everything.....

Morning everyone!

I have a little christmas make for you today using the stunning new Merry Everything from Stamping Bella, its sooo cute! who can resist penguins and snowmen?? not me for sure and it was in my basket as soon as they went into the shop! he he he!!!

I also couldn't resist those  DieNamics Stitched Fishtail Frames. They work perfectly with my DieNamics Jumbo stitched Fishtail stax and a bit of adhesive foam to make a wonderful focal point for cards.

We had the best day yesterday. We woke up and decided we would surprise Mo with his first ever trip to the circus. Now doing surprises with Mo isn't actually that easy because of his autism he has to know whats happening before hand but he did sooo well bless him.We didn't tell him where we were going and we got there 40 mins early and parked the car in front of the tent so he could get used to the idea, it took him 5 minutes to realise we were at a circus and even when we got out of the car he didn't know we were going in!! it wasn't until we got right to the ramp of the booking office that he realised!!!! and he was frightened but he sat as good as gold with a big smile and enjoyed every single minute. It was absolutely amazing! if you ever have PlanetCircus in your town, you must go. I cannot recommend it enough.

Here's a little piccy of Mo before the show started! I love his little face.

Image- Looking for Clues from Mo's Digital Pencil.
Morning everyone!

Its that time of month for a droolworthy Mo's Dream Team Blog Hop and this time our gorgeous Kaly has chosen our theme this month of Anything but a Card!

Here's the Blog Hop Run in case you get lost on the way and we have two new members joining us.
Lou

Don't forget there are two $5 gift vouchers to spend in Mo's shop to be drawn from someones comments so make sure you comment on everyone in the blog hop posts.

I of course had to go for something for my little guy as he started Spy Club at one of his after school clubs this week (...though his teacher told us after their first club that it was not spy club at all and then had just done writing..mmmmm.....sounds like a cover up to me!!) so out came one of his mini notepads ( he has a whole wodge of these because his teachers are helping him to write down his worries throughout the day (...I've told you how awesome they are before right?) so I am sure he won't mind the transformation on this one!!!

Its just too cute!!! I love it!!! Thank you so much for hopping in! pop on over to Vili and see what gorgeousness she's been cooking up (..I am so pleased I am not after Vili on the hop because you would be dissappointed after being there! he he he!!)

Bye Bye phone home!!!

Image- Bye Bye boy from Mo's Digital Pencil.
Promarkers warm grey 1-5.
Background- Faded Jeans distress ink,
Black soot distress ink, white gel pen.
Moon- Promarkers warm grey 2, warm grey 1 and satin.
Morning everyone!

I have a bit of a fun make to share today!! I was feeeling quite sorry for myself with bugs and yuck yesterday when the awesome new Kit and Clowder create and learn class came out. Its a gorgeous collaboration of Alyce and Maurie Mannings images so oh my, how could I resist????

Click on this piccy to be pinged to Kit and Clowder for more deets!!

Now, I am pants with pencils and wasn't sure I wanted to take out the monthly subscription so I messaged Alyce and she sorted out me paying for just one class ( a bargain £9.25!!) so I felt a whole lot more comfortable with that. Plus you get 50% off code for the 2 images from Mo's Digital Pencil so its even more of a bargain!!

Before I got going, I couldn't resist a little play after Alyce mentioned ET in a chat thread on facebook!! well, he was just calling to be ET-fied wasn't he!!!!! so of course when I printed my little guy out he needed to be coloured kind of sepia so he stayed a silhouette like little guy!!

Then out came my trusty ink duster brushes and a circle of paper to mask off my little guy and his moon!! A few white gel pen dotted stars and the job was done!! so cute!!

Today if I get chance I will be starting on my bubbles marker class and learn how to make my own background using lines in word!!! how exciting is that??? I have never done that before (...and will so suck at my first efforts but bodging is the fun bit right??).

Right, tyrozets and ibucalm required for me to try and shake myself outside for a walk today, I am getting cabin fever from resting so think its time to break out!!! have a great day everyone

Sorry a bug sneaked in on you.....

Papers- Cave Folks paper from Tiddly Inks.
Sneaker cut file- sil store.
Promarkers-
Midnight blue, Denim blue, Pastel blue.
Burnt sienna, Caramel, sandstone.
Burnt orange, Coral, Sunkissed Pink and blush.
Morning Peeps!!

I have to double up on the old DT commitments today as I haven't felt well enough for proper crafting yet and luckily had this cutie made up on friday!

So, its time for another super fun challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and this week we are getting all outta shape!! he he he!! our challenge this week is....

Don't be Square!!
so... anything you fancy making but ...
NO SQUARES ALLOWED!!

(**remember...We love to see any new creation, a card, 3D project, journal page etc
but you must use a Tiddly Inks stamp or image **)

and over on the Passion for Promarkers challenge blog our Nic has set the theme of

All the Trimmings!
( so think Lace, ribbon, twine)
Please remember you can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card.  As always to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Letraset products (promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, aqua markers or metallic markers) and of course follow the theme.  Please can you help us by stating which Letraset products you have used on your creation i.e. ‘coloured with promarkers’ etc.

So to combat those 2 awesome challenges I went for a sneaker with twine laces!! he he he!! I love it!!!

Its my last post as a PFP DT today. We have a tonne of things to sort for our little Mo this year so I needed to pinch back a little time for doing all the bits that go with it! arghhhhhh!!! but hopefully once we've had his mediation meeting and found the right school things will feel a bit better. It feels like a very long road right now so I have to make cutbacks to make that feel easier for me to do but I have had the best time ever being on their team and I am still as obsessed with my promarkers as I have ever been (...just need letraset to sort out a stampers promarker now! you know..one with a fine tip and bullet nib instead of that big chunky end!!...but I've been asking them for that for 2 years now and still no luck...lol!!!)

Right, off to get some more painkillers, not feeling quite as good as I was hoping to today, Pharyngitis stinks!!!!!!!

Farm Background and Tom Sawyer......

Images- Farm Background and Tom Sawyer.
Morning everyone!
Did you all see the new Farm Background in the store? I was so excited when I saw it because I knew that Tom Sawyer would look kinda cute in a little merged scene with that barn!!

A few dies were needed to finish off my little scene with some 3D Lou poppage so I pinched a few of my favs off my die wall and got to work with some scrap pieces of card in my card box. Edge dies are sooooo cool for that!!

I am so grateful to mr blogger for scheduled blogging as I have been so poorly since friday night. I have managed to get myself bacterial Pharyngitis ( strep throat for my over the pond budettes) and I have honestly not felt so ill in a long time. The Dr was amazing though and started me off on antibiotics right away (..10 days worth at 2 tablets 4 times a day...they know I cant swallow right??!!!) so hopefully they will blitz the army of bacteria getting me and I will feel more human!!!

Thank you for popping in

Smile....

Sentiment- Inkadinkado Friendly Advice.

Morning peeps!!

I do not mind admitting that I have had a bit of a week. I have felt a squidge down in the dumps with everything but this morning I have woken up feeling my normal chirpy self, phew!!

And last night I had 15 mins to myself to make a little CAS card. I don't often do really CAS but when I do I am reminded of how cute simple is. This is one of my favourite Tiddly Inks clear stamp sets, it just makes me smile whenever I see it.

A little splodge of autumnal colour and some autumny clouds and it was done. I stamped one of my super chirpy sentiment stamps on to go with how I felt nd the job was done!!

Right, got to go, a cuppa has my name on it, and we have another secondary school to visit while little Mo is at school today. He is very excited as he is having a little 'job interview' at school today. He is going for the job of Animal Welfare ( no surprise there then! he he he!!) and he is so excited because he has even asked our local RSPCA for a reference for the interview!!! what a cutie! and it is amazing!!!! I will take a piccy of it for you all and let you know if he got the job!!

Huge hugs for you all

#A Very Fairy Door.....

Image from A Very Fairy Door KickStarter project.
Morning all!!
Its been a bit quiet on the Lou front this week as I attempt to schmooze back into school routine. I don't mind admitting I am finding it a squidge hard, way too quiet and kinda boring at home without Little Mo around but I am sure by next week I will be more into making bits and bobs!

So, today I needed me a lil magic!! something to cheer me up and it came right in the form of the awesome fairies that Krista has drawn for Kimberly and Carlie's awesome A Very Fairy Door project. Please quickly click on the video below to get a look at this uber exciting project.

So, my gorgeous lil fairy up there comes as part of many of the pledge packages available on the project and....WILL NOT EVER BE AVAILABLE IN THE SATURATED CANARY STORE. So if you want them in digi form you get 8 of these uber cuties for just $25! but make sure you click in on that link because there are so many ways to get some magic fairy into your days that are way too good to be missed!!

I went for a good old accordian card fold for my make using a tutorial that came through in my splitcoast stampers email yesterday, it was so cute I had to have a go at it but I wanted to add a little band to keep it closed too so that's all I added on. You can find the tutorial here. And here it is all closed up...

he he he! so cute!! I love it!!

Right, off for a quick cuppa and a facebook womble before I hit the ironing pile!!

Huge hugs Lou xxx
