A little LOTV elephant cuteness!!

Stamp- an oldie from LOTV but you can get it in digital format now

Scruffy Edward.

Good Morning all!

Well,I've made it to my keyboard again to share another little cutie with you that I made this last weekend for my friends little girl, Nellie. They call her Nelliephant so I just knew it needed to be an elephant stamp to use and I had my super cute LOTV baby elephant! wahooooooooo!!

I coloured her up with my Distress Markers, I used Pumice stone, Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogony. Then I couldn't resist adding a teeny little pink thread bow because I had seen a sneak preview of Nellie doing a cake smash and she had a gorgeous bow in her hair!

I added a little glossy accents to the balloon to make it all shiny. I was so pleased with it.

Mo is at college today so I will be keeping myself busy. I actually have DOMS to the max today after starting working out again on Tuesday (you know, the kind where you get half way down to sit on the loo and kind of plummet the rest of the way because ooooooowies!!!) so the first thing I am going to do is find myself a lovely Pilates video to stretch myself out to!!

Thank you all so very much for the lovely welcome back to my bloggyland! It made my day to read all your lovely comments.

See you soon, Lou xxx

Little Fairy Maxi from Mo's Digital Pencil.

Image- Little Fairy Maxi from Mo's Digital Pencil.
Coloured with Distress Ink Markers.
Hello all!!

Well, it's definitely been a long time since I popped in on my blog...so long, in fact, that it has done some updates and now writing my post feel rather foreign to what I can remember it looking like and it's taken me a hot minute to work out all these whizzy new icons up there!!!

We have been busy in our little Daubney world. Little Mo has grown (....like a weed, he is taller than me now and I am the official tiny person in the family!!!) He has settled nicely at college, going a whole year early and is hoping to move onto a Level 1 Animal Management course in September. They have been amazing during covid and he has still been going as normal for his 2 days each week. He also did amazing in his exams, he has now got a 9,9 in Combined Science (double award), a 6 in English Language and a 5 in Math (which he chose foundation level and 5 was the highest grade you could get). We are soooo proud of him. At the moment he is really enjoying doing an NCFE Level 2 Cookery Course for his home learning on a Monday and Tuesday too so he is keeping himself nice and busy.

I lost my card making mojo for a little spell, then I got it back but had lost the blogging mojo so after a walk in the sunshine this morning and a cuppa I decided to take the blogging bull by the horns and get back to it!! I'm so pleased I did.

And onto my card for today! I actually made this over a month ago now but she is way too cute not to make my first post back with! this is Little Fairy Maxi. She will be coming to Mo's Digital Pencil really soon but I am lucky enough to be a member over on Mo's Digital Pencil Patreon Page. I coloured her up with my distress ink markers (my newest way to colour and I am loving it!!).Then of course, added some Lou froo and she was done! but seriously, how cute is she???!!

I'm going to enter the challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog because I haven't entered a gorgeous challenge in so long.

Right, time for another cuppa. The sun has actually come out here today and the garden looks so pretty with some sun shining down on it for a change! Thank you so much for popping in, I hope you got in here ok through the spider webs and tumbleweeds!!

Much love, Lou xxxx

Staying Cool......

Image- Staying Cool from Krista Smith Stamps.
Morning all!

We've had another busy but fun week in our house but this morning I have time to sit down and write a little blog post with another recent card.

This one was sooooo much fun to make! Krista had a week of challenge prompts and it was just what I needed to kick my mojo booty into action!!

I used the super sweet Staying Cool. I mean, who doesn't want a hat like that in the heat of summer??!!!! The little bottle cap on this card was actually a little gift Krista sent me years ago when we had a Saturated Canary design team but I just couldn't resist using it for this make.

Right, I need to scoot! I have a pile of ironing that is slowly creeping to the height of the house!! If you don't hear from me by tomorrow..it beat me!!! romfl!!

Thank you for nipping in!! Huge hugs, Lou xxx

A wish for you.....

Image- A wish for you.

Good Morning all!!

Well, I woke up to a  beautiful email from my lovely blogging friend, Bunny. And I have to say it absolutely made my day.

I had figured the only people popping in on my blog recently were the stupid blog spammers from Bloglovin' ( ackkkk!!) but no! someone was actually missing my daft ramblings and Lou makes! So Bunny, I got out of bed and made this card just because you made me feel like a million dollars this morning. Thank you so much.

I absolutely fell in love with this image when Maurie posted her up on the Patreon page. I coloured her up last week and then she was just sitting on my desk waiting for her place to be!

I used a new skin colour combo for me of Copic numbers E000, E53 and BV00 and I love how it came out. Her little cheeks are R20, just a teeny touch but she looks so sweet.

The papers are digital ones from Gnome Sweet Gnome from Designs by Dani. I got them from a Snap, Click, Supply one buck Wednesday. I do love one buck Wednesday because I love my digital papers so much. Having them on hand to just print out the ones you need instead of storing a whole pack you might only use a few sheets of is magic to me!!!

Right, I've got to scoot. My tummy is calling me telling me it needs some sustenance!!! time for brekkie me thinks!!

Have a magical day everyone, huge hugs and love, Lou xxxx

Eggcellent news....

Image- Eggcellent News from Tiddly Inks.
Sketch followed- Mojosketch #536.
Morning all!!

well, it's Mojo Monday on a Tiddly Tuesday for me!!! romfl!!! but you all know how much I love a sketch so I couldn't resist Mojo Monday #536. Ooooooh it's a gorgeous one! I had so much fun making the Eggcellent News from Tiddly Inks image I coloured up whilst practising with my copics the last few days.

A little out of the box nesty-ing meant that those gorgeous leaves and branches could pop off the edges of the circle. The sentiment is from one of my Tiddly Inks clear stamp sets that has retired but I just love that little saying with the 3 lovely eggs in the nest.

Thank you for popping in on me, Huge hugs Lou xxx

Meeya...

Image- Meeya from Mo's Digital Pencil.
Morning all!!

ooooooooooooh it feels like forever since I just took part in a challenge as me, just a little Lou customer enjoying her images and wanting to play away and boy oh boy does it feel soooooo good!! and of course, there would be no better challenge to jump in on that Mo's Digital Pencil challenges!!

The super sweet little Meeya was just calling me from her rock to be coloured in so I went for it!!

And I've got to say, the sketch to follow is a really cool one! I love it!!
I just swapped out those flowers for some of the shells I collect from the beach when we go. Lordy I do miss the beach.
Someone once asked me how I use the shells from the beach and don't they smell. Well, here is my trick!! when we get home I pop them all in a little netting bag and then the next time the dishwasher goes on I pop them on the top shelf with the rest of the glasses etc in there and wahooo! no smelly shells!!! he he!!

Right, I need to go and hang out the laundry a Little Mo kindly sorted and put on for me this morning. He's such a sweetheart bless him!

Have an amazing Saturday everyone! huge hugs, Lou xxx

Got the wreath......

Good afternoon gorgeous peeps!

It's been a wonderful but busy day here in my little house this morning! The sun was happily shining so I took the opportunity to get the laundry on as soon as we got up. Mo actually had a lovely lie in and didn't wake up until 6:30am and woke up raring to go so we got mo-melearning done nice and early.

Then I had a really good clean out in my craft room and cleared 6 draws out into just 2! go me! it feels so much better too. Scott helped me move the printers and my photo-taking box around and it looks so much less cluttered now which is great as Scott is working from home out there so I am keen to keep it clean and airy for him, no one wants to work in a wifey cluttered environment right?!!! he he!

Now, I have been practising with my copics this week. I only have a few colours and have ordered a few more because I am absolutely disappointed with the quality of the newer promarkers. They run out so much quicker and the quality of the ink when I'm colouring just does not feel the same so for me, a change to copics is the way I want to go. They really do feel a lot different to promarkers so it's going to be a learning curve but that is the absolute fun of it. Learning those and my pencils has been such a wonderful thing to take a hold of.

For my card this morning I used the super sweet little  Got the wreath from Mo's Digital Pencil. It is such a cauuuute image!!!! I went for a blue and red combo because...well..because I only have reds, blues, greens, a few skin colours and a couple of warm greys in copics!! I have to say though, I do love how it came out!

Then it was just a case of having some fun with die cuts to sit that little cutie on! I went with one of my favourite MFT Blueprints die sets and a couple of other golden oldies like my Memorybox wreath and my Lawn Fawn snowflakes.

I made the decision last week to step down from all my DT's. I am absolutely 100% still in love with all of them but I just felt it was time to step down and have just some crafty time just for me. I will miss all of them greatly, it felt very strange to step down and 'let go' after soooo long but I am so excited about just being a regular little customer and getting excited to use new images I buy! It feels like a new little crafty world for me again!

Right, time for a cuppa I think! Huge hugs and love for you all, Lou xxxxx

We just need to ride it out....

Image- Saved Herself.

Good morning all!

well, these are some crazy times we are going through right now so I wanted to make a card that would remind us that no matter where we are in the world, we are all in this together.

Saved Herself was just the perfect image to do this in a fun way. I made the sentiment myself in word and then die cut it.

Hope you are all hanging in there, love to you all, Lou xxxxx

Little Monsters!!!

Image- Cupcake Monster.
Happy Birthday sentiment- Evan with iPad.

Hello everyone!!

oooh, I'm late in but I have been having new baby snuggles so my mind wandered from remembering to blog my make for this week!! oopsie! but oh my....who wouldn't stop to take in some gorgeous new baby snuggles?

But these cutie pie little monsters from Cupcake Monster called me to blog them because they too are extreeeeeeeeemly cute!!!! I do adore them!!

I coloured them up with my polychromos. I am having the best time learning with my pencils and I love how these cuties came out. I have been using the colour blends Alyce kindly put on Kit and Clowder HERE. I have found them an absolute lifesaver while I poodle along learning how to use them and she has them for pens and pencils.

This time I sat them on the Happy Birthday sentiment from Evan with iPad. It just seemed perfect for 2 cuties to sit on and send someone some birthday love.

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Baby Fairy lunchbox note...

 Image- 6 Baby Fairies.
Sentiment- My Valentine Fairy.
Good Morning everyone!!

I'm so excited to share my little make for the March challenge Let's Do Green'!! I had the best fun making this super sweet little lunchbox note.

Green is not normally a colour I use much other than on leaves so it felt really great to use it in a different way to colour up my little fairies wings.

This beautiful sentiment comes from the My Valentine Fairy set. It's such an uplifting little quote and it really makes me smile.

This Mini Note dienamic is one of my favourite dies EVER!! It just makes the sweetest little teeny note, perfect to tuck into lunchboxes, wallets or bags. The branches on the front are from my latest Doo Hickey 24 set.

And here it is all closed up...

Who wouldn't love a little lunchbox note like that?!! so cute!! Thank you for popping in, Hugs Lou xxxx
