Happy Halloween!!!!!

Happy Halloween everybody!!!!!!

I thought I would share a piccy (....or 2) of the front of our little house and my little mo potter!!!!! oh and not forgetting the hound of hell ( our dog Zaky!!!)

Mo is so excited as he has some little friends coming over this evening to go trick or treating with him, he actually got up at 5am this morning and announced that he was ready to go!!!

Inside our living room we have lots of webs and spiders and a couple of wall pictures that mo likes. We all dress up and go out trick or treating, only calling on houses with pumpkins outside though. I have taught both my boys that if people don't have a pumpkin outside they probably don't want little people on their doorsteps and it is a little message that they have both taken on board really nicely. I am sure in my small little way people who don't do halloween like I do appreciate a little bit of peace from such a simple lesson from me to my little monsters!!!
Right on with the roast sunday lunch for me!! my clocks say clock change day but my tummy says "feed me,its been hours already!!!!" so I am off to finish off my gravy whilst the veggies cook and then we are going to have a lovely roast chicken dinner.
My mum and dad are making hot dogs for the little people tonight to warm them up before they go out spooking!!!!

A funky christmas!!

Hello peeps!!!!

So did you all catch Anice on create and craft tv this morning? I hope so because the funky hand DT girls completely rocked with their christmas cards this morning, they are all awesome.
Here is my little card that was sat neatly near the front ish during the show this morning! I was so xcited to see it there and even more daftly excited when Leonie picked up my little bag and rubbed it!!! he,he,he,he!! see it doesn't take much to get me all daft and excitable!!!
For this funky little christmas card I hand drew the heart and its shadow and the sentiment is computer generated. A bit of doodling and a cricut cut holly leaves with a little red holly berry button and it was done!! I really liked this one!!!

And this is my gorgeous little man watching Anice this morning!!!! in this piccy he is waving to her (...which he does everytime she is on bless him!!!).

Well, I am off to have a cuppa and catch up on everybodies blogs! hope you have been busy to give me lots to look at!!!!!

mummy and mo pumpkin fun!!!

Hello peeps!!!!
I have had such a fun day with my little man today.
First we made a couple of pumpkins, Mo chose jack from 'the nightmare before christmas' for his and I decided I needed a spider ( not sure why because I am petrified of the real thing!!!!).

Then we went to the cinema to watch 'cats and dogs 2'. Mo loved it!!
Then home for a quick play with Callum (and another pumpkin for callum, he designed it himself and I cut it but I forgot to take a piccy of his, it was really sweet!) and I finished off my castle doom pumpkin, then off to my mum's for a yummy fish finger and mushy peas tea.
Mo and I are picking up a bit now from our fluey bug though Mo is still waking at 4:30am all snuffled up!!
I am really looking forward to tomorrow as I have my gorgeous niece and nephew for the day. Mo has been excited about it for a few weeks now so we are going to have oodles of halloweeny fun! we have choccy apples to make, more pumpkins to carve and some birthday cards to make for my big sis whose birthday is on saturday.
Right, I am off for a cuppa and to try and nibble a little of Scott's massive pizza!!!!

Tiddly Inks challenge 27- Spin Me Around!!!!

Hello everyone!!
This week Christy set all of us Tiddly Inkers into a spin!!!!
Our challenge this week is a spinner card, I had lots of fun making this one so I know you will all love finding your fav Tiddly Inks and putting them into a spin with us!!!
There are lots of variations on a spinner card, so feel free to google some tutorials (there is one on Meredith's blog and one on Christy's blog today) or get inspired by the very cool DT cards over on the challenge blog.
Link a spinner card below by next Monday at 10 PM (and please use a Tiddly Inks image). Christy has lots of freebies in the shop here or in the PCP group if you are a member.
Here's my card in its spin cycle!!
I used the gorgeous All my heart Lilly Bean for my card. Here is a close up of her awesome cuteness!!!
I coloured her up twice so I could use the second set to layer Lilly Bean up over the heart.
I fancied a different medium for y cute Lilly Bean so I went for some acetate sitting in my stash to make card base with, adding a couple of strips of doily hearts punched martha in there too!!
(note to self.......acetate is not easy to photograph...... :) lol!!)
Mo and I are still sick, a total lack of energy in our house and Scott has come down with it now too, urgh!!!! so today we are popping over to Callum for a short play then coming home to rest up a bit more!
Mo and I are going to the cinema tomorrow for a bit of Mo and Mummy time so I hope we are felling much better tomorrow!!!
thank you for popping in on me!!
huge hugs

A neat way to keep track of my Funky Hand papers!!

Hello peeps!!!
No card today so I just thought I would share how I keep track of my Funky Hand papers!!!!
Anyone who pops in on me a lot will know tat I lurve my Funky Hand downloads and cd's. There are a zillion gorgeous papers and I have yet to find one I don't love.
However, having so many I occasionally forget which one came from which cd/download!!!!
So this is what I came up with to keep track of them all using a split ring to pop them onto so I can flick through them. Its like having my own little Funky Hand sample swatches!!!
The one I have popped on here today is my All I want for xmas download.
All I have done is print out the papers in a wallet size print (3.5" x 2.5"). I get 9 on one A4 piece of paper. Then I cut them all out, make a small hole with my crop-o-dile in the corner and pop my split ring through. Once I have done the ring back up again I have a little row of stick on wall hooks that I pop them on so I can have a quick flick through. I love them.

I have had a wonderful day today catching up with my friend and watching mo play with his bestest friend in the world! he has missed him so much. I have one very sleepy little mo sat next to me now eating a bit of pasta before he goes in the bath!! he got quite upset when Callum left as he thought he was going back to Gloucester tonight but now he has calmed down and realised we are off out for the day together tomorrow he is ok again!!!!
I am looking forward to having some crafty time in my crafty garage tonight. I have a few DT bits and bobs to get finished off that I am looking forward too and a card for my big sis's birthday this week.
Thank you for popping in on me,
hugs Lou xxx

Boo to you!!

Good morning peeps!!! (errrrr, well sort off anyway!! it is now we have sorted our leak, taken up the kitchen floor, mopped up the water and stopped the leak, dried all the laminate flooring with a towel and put it in ryans room flat to see if we can save it!!! oh and all before 9:30am this morning to!!! lol!!!)

I made this cute little halloween card last week but just haven't got round to blogging it!! I was playing with my super duper Spooky Dookie download from Funky Hand. I had a few papers left from other bits I had made and they are just way too cute not to use them. If you haven't got them you definitely need them as they are so much fun, there are some gorgeous plain ones in there too like this fun bright orange one-reminds me of brickwork! that can be used for non halloweeny cards too. I have declared it a must!!! LOL!!!

As is the very cute Candy Avenger from Tiddly Inks!!

I made the sentiment myself using my american crafts alphabet stamps (bought a while ago from tkmaxx!!) and of course no halloween card should really be without a bit of martha stewart drippy goo!!!!

I have a roast dinner in the oven, yummo!!! and then this afternoon Little mo and I are just going to veg out and rest up. I have a stonker of a sore throat but Mo has picked up a bit today and is not quite so wheezy, just tired. Callum is coming tomorrow so we both want to be rested up good and ready for playing. Mo has missed him so much, they haven't seen each other in the flesh for a whole 7 weeks ( ...though they skype each other at least twice a week!!!!) They have big plans for building a rabbit home from real wood, digging for dinosaur bones and using the boxes I have been saving for a couple of weeks for junk modelling!!!! busy boys they will be me thinks!!!!
Well, I must go put my gravy on!!!

Tiddly Inks challenge 26- Treat bags/boxes!!!

Hello peeps!!!
Well, I can't believe it but Tiddly Inks has been open for almost 6 months now! Time flies when you are having fun!!! and to celebrate we are having a TREAT bag or box challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog. The DT have rocked again with some awesome inspiration so go take a peek!!!
So get colouring in those Tiddly Inks and join in with the spooky fun by posting your Tiddly Inks-featuring treat or gift box/bag this week by next Monday night at 10 PM CST using the super easy little linky gadget on the challenge blog!!

I had so much fun making this one!! I coloured up my Spooky Birthday witch digi ( i think she's fab!!!) Here's a bit of a close up of her spooky cuteness!!! LOL !!!

To make my treat box I cut out the crayon box from my TBBM cricut cart at 8 3/4 ".
I used the window function so I could pop a little cuttlebugged acetate window in there, you can just about see it in the photo!! lol!!
I added the haunted house embossing folder too to give my witch somewhere to go party!!!
I can't wait to fill this up with some yummy treats!!

So I thought I might enter a few halloweeny / spooky challenges with this one!! ooooh how organised am I?!! so I will be sharing it over on The cuttlebug spot for their Totally Frightful challenge and the Magical mondays challenge which is Halloween.

I have a very nervous little boy sat with me as I post this morning. He is going to the cinema with school today and though he is excited about it he is very worried too. When I picked him up yesterday from school he asked me if I could go and tell his teachers he needed to sit with a grown up because he felt all wobbly in his tummy about it!! awwwww. I hope he does ok with it.

Right off for my morning cuppa. I feel great this morning as I had an early night last night. It was much needed after a stressful couple of days!!! LOL!!!
Thank you for popping in on me, visitors always cheer me up oodles.
Huge hugs

Cards for my mum!

Hello peeps!!!
I have had a busy weekend this weekend!! I am just slowing down now and managing to get a quick blog post in!
Yesterday was my mum's birthday and I made a couple of cards, one for me and scott-that is the tilda one and one for my dad to give her too- that is the Chi one!!!
The light was fading fast when I took my piccies and tilda's piccy looks a little gloomy but hope you can just about see how pretty she is!!!! i got her in a stamp swap a while ago and have been saving her for someone special.
This one below has Chi from Tiddly Inks on it. My mum collects the sweetest oriental girl ornaments and russian dolls so ryan and i covered the oriental side with our cards and mo did russian dolls on his but I totally forgot to ake piccies of the boys cards and they were soooooo cute (.... lou considers stealing them from mum's on wednesday night when me and mo go for tea.....)

I am off for a bloggy womble and a cuppa now might see you soon!!!

Gossmere is such a pretty spooky that I juat had to use her. I coloured her up to match my gorgeous paper and this was a real quick card. I think it only took me 20 mins from start to finish because the papers topper and gossmere did all the work for me!
We are on halloween countdown here!! Little mo is going to be harry potter and he wants me to be moaning mertle!!! Right must dash, chocolate playdough is calling me!!!!

This creation used.......
Gossmere from Tiddly Inks.

Sir Stampalot-October Autumnal challenge.

Hello Peeps!!!!
This is my gorgeous new stamp, Raven, I got her after my awesome card class at clare's shop last week. She was the last one and another lady had picked her up. Bless her, she must of seen the desperation in my eyes as after 5 mins she asked me if I would like her as she wasn't too sure she would use her an awful lot. Oh wow, yes please!!!! what a wonderful thing for her to do though so first big huge thanks to that lady. I don't know her name but what a lovely thought, Thank you xxxx Secondly big thanks to clare who taught the class and we made a card very similar to this one.
So anyway, Raven was just absolutely perfect for the Sir Stampalots challenge blog Autumnal theme this month.
I coloured her up all autumny with my promarkers and then added the button ( little flower centre) and the bow to make it all fit in nicley.
I also got my martha out and had a good old punching session with it!! The flowers were plain white so they got promarker treatment too!!! lol!!!
All my gorgeous autunmy papers are from my funky seasons cd from funky hand, it is one of my absolute favourites and wil be coming back into use later for my christmas cards!!!
Right must go fetch the gorgeous little Mo from school. He received a wonderful surprise in the post from the very lovely Jules yesterday and he was just so excited!! Thank you Jules, he loved it!! I will try and blog the piccies later!!!!

a bit more spooky dookie!!!!

Hello peeps!!!
Mo has gone off on a bike ride with Daddy and the dog so I am having 5 mins of peace with a cuppa to blog my spooky dookie card of the day!!!! lol!!!
I am loving these papers!!!! they are just way too cute!! I needed a little help from my cricut and paper dolls cart again today for a web and spidey!!
I am desperate to try my distressing brushes but they are stil sitting in their packet shouting at me!! so I used my cut and foam for this one!!!
The sun is so nice here today, I have got 2 loads of washing done this morning!! yey!!! ooooh think of the ironing tonight!!
OK, must go as I have another card on the boil waiting for me to play with it and Fi has just text me to tell me how to sort out my distressing brushes after I have used a colour so I am off to play!!!
Hugs Lou xxxxx
p.s. This creation used the Spooky Dookie download from Funky hand.

Spookie Dooky from funky hand!!

I have had the best day today! It was cricut club here in little old Lincoln, organized by the wonderful Fi and there is nothing more magical than a room full of crafters and that lovely beeping sound going round the room as we all turn on, followed by the low buzzing of busy cutting machines!! I love it!!

And even more exciting, I had the new Spookie Dooky halloween download from Funky hand to play with too!!!

Anyone who knows me will know that I lurve halloween!! and I squealed with delight when Anice told us she was doing a halloween download and oh my goodness how awesome is it?!! It has 20 backing papers, 4 alphabits collections and spooky halloween toppers.

The funky hand girlies have all been busy with it and I got my chance to play today!!

First up was my little BOO! card. I loved making this card!

I cut one of the little bats out of a scrap of my orange batty paper and added him to the moon for an extra bit of spookiness!!
Then I had a scrap page kind of feeling!!! I have had this cute little piccy of Mo and Ryan since Mo's first halloween when we dressed him up as a little spider!! He looked so cute!! Mo being Mo slept the entire time we were trick or treating but he did get a lot of comments about being cute!!!

I added some extra pumpkins (with googley eyes!!) , fence and spooky webs from the paper doll dress up cart
(and my awesome friends had to help me a little with web placement!!! i just couldn't make up my mind at all, see that tells how often i manage to scrap!!!)
I just love funky halloween papers and Anice did an awesome job on this set getting the funky into halloween!!!! so get on over to funky hand to get your copy of the download and see what the rest of the DT have been creating with it.
This creation used....
Paper doll dress up cricut cart.
Tin Holtz frayed burlap distress ink.
Sakura pen ( can't remember the colour, sorry xx)
Off out to play a bit more now!! hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
Hugs

Tiddly Inks challenge 24- Create an ATC or ACEO!

Tiddly Inks challenge 24?! already?! wow!! but they are just so much fun you can't resist them really!!!!

So this week was so much fun because Christy gave the DT a little ATC (or ACEO) challenge. I can tell you these little guys are just so addictive!! you make one then you get an idea for another and another......lol!!!! so I have 5 in total but I am sharing these 2 today and saving the rest for later in the week (....by which time they may of sat in my craft room and had more added to them!!!! lol!!!) so here's a few more details about the challenge this week...
We are creating ATC cards (some call them ACEOs). These little works of art are 2.5 x 3.5 inches and soooo cute. :)You have until next Monday night at 10 PM CST to link your ATC over on the challenge blog.

Here's a couple of closer piccies of my little cuties!!!

For this one I used Higglety. I think she is just way too cute!! I had a little play with her broom and a bit of rafia to give her some real sticks in her broom!!!! The backing paper on this one is Gossmere Paper, also from Tiddly Inks!! Higglety's little pet spider is all glossy , with a bit of martha's drippy goo to finish off in the backgound.

For this one I used the squishably cute Franko Boto ( now Franko Boto is actually Mo's Tiddly from one of his Tiddly Tuesdays shopping so don't tell him I borrowed him!!!) His little green heart is lovely and spica glitter green but its hard to see!! I love his little sentiment, I found them on a womble one day from the very talented Amanda. (check out her blog as she has the most awesome stuff on there.) I cuttlebugged his green paper and martha'd it with drippy goo again ( yup, i love the drippy goo punch!!). I added a bit of fine green glitter around the edge of this one sent to me by a very special friend ( you know who you are!! xxxxxxxxxxx)
The Tiddly Inkers have made the most awesome little ATC's so go over to the challenge blog and check them out.
And over on the Tiddly Inks PCP group Christy has put this week's freebie stamp , Ellie, on. She is so cute and all ready to go off trick or treating so go join the group and check her out!!!
These cutie creations used....
Martha stewart fine glitter.
Martha stwart drippy goo punch.
Rafia.
Promarkers: skin on Higglety- vanilla and pastel pink. Dress and Patches- honeycomb.Hat/cloak- cool grey 2 and 3. Patches-grass. shoes- cool grey 4.
Frank boto-Skin- leaf green .Top/stripes- Amethyst. Stripes -honeycomb.
black sakura glaze pen for Higglety's polka dot dress and patches.
glossy accents for spidey!!!
I have a bunny rabbit to move now to make some space for the cavity wall insulating workmen today ( oh I am so pleased I have 4 hours at work to escape the noise today!!!!) so I had better get a move on!!
Thank you so much for popping in on me, I love visitors and comments. They really cheer up my day.
Hugs Lou xxxx

World cardmaking day!

Morning peeps!! I might have a few posts today!! I am treating myself to trying to make some cards today.
This one is for my gorgeous hubby Scott. Its a wordbbok kind of card featuring some old christmas photo's of my gorgeous little guys (....yup they have one of those mum's that dress them up and take piccies, poor boys they will be scarred for life!!! romfl!!!) but they do look sooooo cute!!! I love the one of Mo on his first christmas, he was 9 days old and everytime we picked him up his trousers fell off and his jumper went past his skinny knees!! awwww!!!

I used the fabulous All I want for christmas wordbook download from funkyhand for this one, I love it because it co-ordinates all the papers for me without me stressing for half a day if I used the right colours!!! lol!!!
I'll leave you with a few more piccies of the pages!!!

Ok, off out in the rain to walk to my little craft room now!! I will emerge later with some more cards!! what else could I possibly do on world cardmaking day?!!!

Cards from Clare's class.

Hello peeps!! Happy Saturday!!!
On thursday night I was extremely lucky and had a girly night with some of my bestest crafting buddies!! we had a little road trip out to Clare's lovely craft shop, Cloud9, in Horncastle for a class on using acetate in your card making.
Oh my, we had so much fun!!! there was only us 4 and Clare ( which is great because my nerves had kicked in nicely!!) lots of giggling involved and everyone made the most beautiful cards.
I loved both of the designs. Clare had kindly slaved for hours cutting all the little bits we needed to make our cards so really all I did was colour in an assemble using Clare's ready made cards of gorgeousness as a guide!!!!
I really enjoyed doing this Tilda mermaid one as I have these stamps and had never thought of using them in this way, Thank you Clare!!! Next week we are doing 'autumnal and earthy' so I can't wait for that.
You can find Fi's gorgeous take's on the same design here, Fi is much more cleverer than me when it comes to glitter so you can see on Fi's how the weeds were actually supposed to look!!!!
We haven't managed to get Pauline and Margaret to start a blog yet but we do try, Fi and I!!!! They both make the most beautiful cards. And if you fancy noseying in on Clare's blog, it is here.

We have spent most of the day listening to the motorbikes playing on RAF Waddington today, they are having a Help for Heroes fundraising day and racing big ducatti's around the base!! its very noisy!!!! brings back my childhood memories of spending days at Cadwell when my Aunty Patty and Uncle Charlie owned it. So much fun!!!
Well, sweet and sour chicken needs to be made for tea and mo is getting awful sleepy after a lovely bike ride whilst we walked the dog so I must get a wriggle on!!!
Huge hugs and big thanks to Clare, Fi, Margaret and Pauline for such a fabulous time on thursday night.

Get Funky- Take 5!!!

Good morning everybody!!!!!!
I cannot believe it is the first of october already!!! omgosh where did the month of september go? but on a much more positve note, its the 1st october today which means its time to Get Funky!!
Lythan set us the challenge of......
Take 5.

so you can make whatever you like, be it a scrap page, card, wall hanging or anything you feel inspired to make as long as you use 5 different funkyhand papers on it. The DT have come up with some absolute corkers again so please pop over to the challenge blog for more details and have a peek at what they have been making.

So here is a full picture of my Take 5 creation!!!
I decided to use some of the gorgeous papers from the All I Want For Christmas download to make little Mo some crackers for our christmas tree.

I made the pattern for these little cuties in my cricut design studio. They are just big enough to fit in a mini little kinder bar, (which is about the only chocolate Mo will eat apart from choccy buttons!!).

I wrapped a little bit of tinsel thread around the edges to sparkle them up. I just know Mo will have so much fun popping these on the tree, plus they don't bang (which is good as he doesn't like the noise of cracker snaps!!!)
So get on with making some funky creations peeps and remember to leave a comment linking them over on the Get Funky challenge blog, I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
Hugs Lou xxxx
