Forgotten Funkies...SteamFunk...

Good Morning everyone!!!

Its the time of month again for our 'Forgotten Funkies' showcase over on the Get Funky and craft blog!!! and each month our fabulous Funkettes will be here on our blog showing off some new makes with our older downloads.

Today's showcase is centered all around the gorgeously funky and zingy 'Steam Funk' download. Just look at these delectably grungy papers, 17 of them and 4 digi stamps ( 2 of them sentiments)  in delicious browns and creams with the most awesome texted papers we have seen for a while!! so they are most definitely too good to be forgotten!!!

Steam Funk downloadable backing papers.

I was in a 'lets do something different' kind of mood and since we have been plane spotting such a lot with family over the last few weeks I decided to go with this cute little plane! it was so much fun because I did it in my Silhouette software! I was able to import my papers and 'fill' each piece of the pattern before I cut it out using print and cut!! oooooooh That is soo cool! I love it!!!
The plane, of course, only stayed in my possession until I had tied the little knots through the holes to attach it to the string, it was then spirited away by a rather excited 9 yr old who claimed it as his own......!!

Huge hugs for you all

Papers- DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl stack.
Ribbon- American crafts.
Butterflies- Martha stewart punch.
Flowers,pearls and lace from stash!!!
Morning all!!

I hope you are all waking up to a wonderful wednesday? I am having a bit of a tidy up,craft a bit and watch movies with the small one kind of day! its fab!!

I have a baby card to share with you all today! its dreamy when your friend says to you 'I need a baby girl card'....ooooh I love those days!!! so I went all flowery,butterfly-ee pinkness cute crazy! and I also finally inked up my Balloon Basket stamp!!  its just gorgeous! and sooo cute too!!

Once baby was coloured up it was just a case of yummy girlie baby papers and embellie heaven!! I don't very often go uber froo froo but when its a baby girl card I can't help myself!! he he he!! I also just had to add a few butterflies to the flowers and teeny ones sprinkled around the card.

By the time I had finished it was too froo-y to fit in an envelope so this one needd a box!! lol!!!! its roughly an 8x8 card ( I say roughly because I have started to notice now that they aren't anymore I bought a pack of 6x6 the other day and they are barely 5 3/4 "!!).

Inside matched the front a little in that I popped a banner and a couple of butterflies in there too!

Right, must go, there is a pomegranate and green tea with my name on it! this cold will go!! lol!!

Yoga Mamma............

Stamp - Yoga Mamma.

Morning all! its my turn to post over on the Dies to Die For inspiration blog and I decided to go with a calm and relaxing make for you today!!

Our Jane has got me all hooked on smaller projects this week after her ATC's ans I was in a Blueprints 9 tag  die kind of a mood!!
I actually adore this set because you can dress the tag up with the little border dies, I just flipped my double sided Doodlebug paper to do that. The bottom layer is the die cutting some packing corrugated card ( thankies Amazon!!) then I cut my patterned paper and trimmed of 1/4cm on every edge to get that wonderful border layer feel with the brown.

There was enough left to cut the little stitched border strip and the 'breathe' letters.
I coloured her up with my promarkers and I was in funky hair mood!! so pink hair she got! romfl!! well, it matched the papers!! he he he!!

Have a wonderful day everyone, thank you for popping in

Edwin with plane......

Stamp- Edwin with plane from magnolia.
Papers- we r memory keepers Baby Mine
Hi everyone!!

I am so late posting away today as we have been having a bit of a lazy day here!!

Its my gorgeous Grandad's birthday today. I know lots of people will have special Grandad's but my Grandad is just the most special person and I absolutely adore him. I spent lots of time with him when I was growing up and I would be absolutely lost without him. He is 82 today, still watching planes with me and driving his brand new Jaguar around so I have lots of years of an aweome Grandad left with me yet!!!

We pootled off together to watch the Avro3 yesterday, it was magic,Grandad, my godfather Chris, Scott, Mo and me in a field watching those merlin engines hum over, I LOVED it, of course I cried like a big girls blouse as soon as I saw them coming over together but it was just an amazing occassion.
Here we are!! Scott snapped this piccy as we were waiting, its by no means a great picture of me but I am just so happy to have us in the piccy I don't care!!!
And of course, Mo had to get in on the card making fun for Grandad with his own card! He has been trying to steal....wanting to have a go.....with my Die namics Airplane Greetings set since it arrived and was almost jumping in his seat as he put all the little bits together!!! I love that he makes his own cards though and he even printed his paper onto his cardbase himself (..I know its upside down but I didn't tell Mo as he was so excited about having real sky!!!)
Paper- Past Funky Hand freebie.
I am just so grateful that he hasn't lost his crafty bug as he gets older. This is the card he made for his nannie for her birthday which was on wednesday. There is something just magical about those little splodgy glue and finger marks and imperfections on childrens cards that just makes me feel so proud to have a crafty lil man!

Right, time to go! a cuppa is calling me and I think I am in an ironing mood!!!

Huge hugs for you all

Morning peeps!!

Its my turn to post over on the DTDF blog so I had a good old rummage through all my stamps and I decided to go with 'Yvonne'. I don't know why I love this rubber stamp so much but she is just so fabulous and I love that she has a real woman figure! I love that!!

I coloured her up with my promarkers and then it was time to sploosh some papers together. The MME 6x6 Unforgettable pad made that super easy so a bit of roughing up the edges and a few of those delicious Prima Camille flowers to the bottom corner. I tucked in a La La Land heart doily too, well its too cute to miss out!!!

Recently I have been trying to ease myself out of adding sentiments to my cards, its a really tough thing to teach myself to do but I do love the fact that its an open event card if you do that! then you can just add the sentiment when you need it!!

Right, I am going to have my cup of tea and then get my tired butt to bed!!

Thank you for popping in

Image- Believe from Saturated Canary.
Papers- Hot of the press freebie from a magazine.
Morning everyone!!
oooh I love sunday..I love them slightly more when we haven't all been awake all night feeling rough but I love them all the same!! lol!!
So Mo and Scott are laid on the settee feeling rough, we have walked the dogs as normal so the fresh air did us all good!! and I thought I would blog the little notebook I made yesterday.

I am still getting used to my new printer and whaich settings to use for printing out my images! with my last one I had tinkered about and made myself some fab settings so I could just choose the 'images' option when I went to print! lol! so I need to do that with the new one now!!

Anywhoo, I printed out the new 'Believe' image from Saturated Canary and got my colour on!! he he he! I was in an alter a notebook kinda mood so that's just what I did, some simple layering of yummy papers and it was done. I just turned over the corner of my image mat and added a little brad, string bow and sentiment tag stamp from lotv.

Right, I am off to pop the chicken in the oven now, none of us feel like roast sunday dinner so we are going to go for the chicken salad option!

Heart Strings.....

Image- Heart Strings from Saturated Canary.

Morning everyone!!

I hope you are all waking up to super saturdays!! I am, the sun is shining and we are just getting ready to go and walk the dogs before having a bit of an easy day. We went to the beach to spend the day with Scott's parents yesterday and we all came home exhausted!! I didn't even have the energy to load up my new printer so I must of been pooped out!! lol!!

So, today marks the start of the new Saturated Canary stamps challenge and this time its all about ATC cards. You can find our challenge album to join in right here on the Saturated Canary Stamps facebook page.

I chose to use the gorgeous new 'Heart Strings' for my card and hand cut myself a little heart beat line and heart to finish her off. I LOVE ATC cards, they are just so much fun and an excellent way to have a quick play with your images, I think they would be awesome for helping to keep a record of which images/stamps you have!!!!!

So the challenge is easy, make an ATC. Stick to the ATC size when embellie-ing so no going over the edges!! keep it to just an ATC so no adding to a card/project, and add it to our album!! simples!!!!!

and heres a little collage of our day yesterday, I absolutely love the piccy of Scott and Mo driving our little powerboat around the boating lake, I love my boys so much...

right, off to walk!!
huge hugs Lou!

Just Because.........

Stamp- TGF Blush Babette.
Papers- Teresa Collins He Said, she said.
Dies- Die Namics Mini Royal Roses.
Die namics fishtail flags stax.
Die Namics fishtail layers stax.
Morning peeps!

Mo has his head in a book...just for a change!! Poppy is fast asleep and Scott is at work so I had a little while to sit and make something just because!

I bought this stamp from my gorgeous friend Caz last week when she was having a clear out sale and I just love her. I actually bought 2 but this one is just the one I had to play with first!

I have also had a bit of a play with my lighting set up and thrown out the tent! for some reason it was just driving me bonkers so now I have had a play with where my lights go and I much prefer it without the big dark tent around it.

Mo and I don't really have any plans for today other than walking furry peeps so its an easy kind of day....which is good as it was windy last night and Mo just cannot cope with windy nights, he is afraid of the whistling noise so ended up squidged in between me and scott by 2am this morning....where he slept quite nicely until 5:44am...I however spent one of those nights where you teeter on the edge of your side of the bed afraid to move incase you wake up the small scared on once he is settled!!!

Off for a cuppa and to make some lunch for me and Mo, tuna salad today I think, yum!

So yesterday afternoon after all the fun I got time to sit and have a play with one of my fav new stamps from the newest Tiddly Inks clear stamp sets, I love them! I paper pieced her little dress and socks!

And oh my! the Frantic Stamper swirl die...oh my! its beautiful. I gentle pressed it around my promarker pen barrel to get the rounded feel to it and ohhhhh is this one going to get used a whole tonne!

Right, I've waffled enough to you all!! going to get a cup of tea before I decide what to do with my gorgeous boys today! Scott has the day off so we are going to have brekkie and decide what to do!!

Divas by Design..under the Sea.....

Stamp- Little mermaid Tilda.
Dies- DooHickey club volume 1.

Good Morning everyone!!

How are you all today? I am great. We have had 2 days of fabulous family time at the seaside, the weather was beautiful and despite being a squidge under the weather Mo loved it. We had a scary moment yesterday when he nearly passed out ( when his tummy is bad he really struggles with the pain, his lips went blue and he wobbled over :( ) but he was absolutely fine after a sit down and a drink.

So its time for a new challenge over on the Divas By Design challenge blog and this week its a fabulous one for summertime! its .....
Under the Sea!!
and we are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons.

I couldn't resist but go to my Little Mermaid Tilda for this make. She is just one of my absolute favourite Tilda's ever. I coloured her up with my promarkers and then cut a few of my lovely Doo Hickey club volume 1 under the sea themed dies to go with her!! I adore that set of dies so much!!

The little shell is from our walk on the beach on monday!! well, you've got to get an original bit of under the sea on there! he he he!!!

Here is Mo at the waterpark yesterday. We were all but alone at 9am in the morning! there were just 2 other little children there, they were much younger than Mo and took a great liking to his floaty hoop so he popped them in it and pulled them around the pool. I love that he did that! it was so thoughtful.
Right, off to plod the dog!! its rainy this morning but so lovely because its actually fresh and not muggy!!!

Thank you for popping in
huge hugs Lou xxx
