Wednesday..............

Image- Wednesday.
Sentiment- Waltzing Mouse Peek A Boo sentiments.
Morning all!

It's my Dream Team posting day  for Mo's Digital Pencil tomorrow and I have had some uber spookable fun with Wednesday. As ever...I can't sit on my hands and not share my make right away!! Oh how I love her! she just has that 'whatever' or 'Bite me' kinda face! and I can never resist a bit of Halloween fun!!

Last week we soaked up a whole load of family bubble time with Little Mo while he was on half term.We had a few days up in my amazing Aunty's campervan in The Lakes and did some great walks and exploring. It really is my favourite place up there, plus we get extra Aunty Sally snuggles as we are only 2 minutes away from her house up there! he he! The site we go to is just so beautiful. We get sad everytime we have to come home!!

On Wednesday we all went to Grandad's house to scatter his and Nana's ashes in the garden! Oh my! it was a typical Lou kinda day! We couldn't get Nana out of her ashes container to mix her with Grandad's ashes so my cousin had to saw the top off Nan's container and once he had done that, she was still a little damp (....well 19 years in a black bag in the garden buried where your dogs were buried does that to a special ladies ashes you know!!! those were her wishes though and y'all should have a feel for how we do things in my family now if you've been reading Lou world for a long time! we go with what people want!!!).

Anywho.....Nana's ashes were still to damp to mix so we had to keep popping batches in the microwave to dry them out!! oh my!!!!! My Nana would of absolutely adored that! he loved a bit of drama and especially loved a giggle!! Finally we got them mixed together nicely and all had our own little ginger pot of ashes to take to our own places in the garden. Most of mine went on the special part of the garden where my Grandad made me a special garden for my 8th birthday. He planted a lot of primroses in the shape of an 8 and then lots of pretty flowers around the edge, I absolutely adored it! and I popped some in the part where my fine needle fir tree used to be that I used to have a den in and hide there a lot!! especially when my Aunty got married when I was 3 and I didn't want to have my photo taken so I hid!! he he!! so many special memories were made in that bog ole garden. Little Mo chose to pop his around the tree he never could quite manage to climb and Scott went for around the garage where Grandad kept his cars and some of his pigeons.

Then I took some time to sit in my Grandad's chair in the lounge so I could be 'with him'.I had a really good cry. I've struggled with missing Grandad this week very much. I know it will all calm down and I won't feel this pain forever but for now I am at that terrible longing for him stage.I have been my Grandad's side kick for as long as I can remember. He really was the best (.......teeny me in piccy!!)
Right, I need to go and slice some potatoes and onions for tea and get it popped together with some bacon for a lovely ovenbaked tea.

Thank you for popping in, hugs Lou xx

Pugsley........

Morning everyone!

I'm in for you today with my Dream Team make of the week. I fell utterly in love with Pugsley as soon as I saw him in the shop. I absolutely adore The Addams Family (..and have been lucky enough to grow up with the original series and the newer films....!! lol!!!).

I added a little extra fun into the card by popping a little see through shaker window in the front of the card, it's so sweet!! I do love a bit of fun in a halloween card!

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Oh Baby..........

 Chippies- New Baby Chipboard set.
Hi everyone!!

Well I am back in pooter land now I have my lovely new pooter all set up and raring to go. I am still very much getting used to it....I was sooo comfy with all my old software and my old keyboard and mouse (....so getting used to clean and unsticky, unworn keyboard and mouse is tricky....bwah ha ha ha ha!!!!) but it was a pretty painless reshuffle to the new pooter and luckily the hard drive on the old one was fine so I didn't loose any of my precious photographs or images (.......that said....I do want ya'll to go back up your pooters right now to make sure you don't even need to think about worrying if pooter death is contagious and you contract it from me! bwah ha ha ha ha!!!!)

This morning I have been swinging between getting this gorgeous little baby card posted, finishing off my new MIC make and getting to grips wit printing out some images in a new program...alas....my old faithful photoshop did not make the journey! (....so I am running on a free trial of the newest version and stocking up on printed images before the 30 days is up......resourceful me!!! he he!!).

Those gorgeous Maja Designs Vintage Spring Basics papers are on offer at The Ribbon Girl at the minute so grab yourself a saving if you love them as much as I do!!! and the cuteness of those little New Baby Chippies is just so awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww on my list right now!! I don't have many from the fabulous set left now but oh my are they perfect for those 'I don't fancy colouring an image' days.

Right, I need to go and clean my teeth...again!!! we have the dentists at 4:30pm today and I am determined to show her I looked after them good through chemo and rads!! ....I might get a sticker for being a good girl???!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Dogs in a boat...

Image- Dogs in a boat.
Papers- Beach Cottage from The Lovely Studio.
Morning everyone!

I'm in with my Dream Team post of the week for you today and I couldn't resist those gorgeous sailing hounds,Dogs in a boat. Aren't they just sweethearts? awww that guy at the front with the lifesaver just makes me go awwwwwwwwww!!

They really didn't need anything else but them to make a sweet little card using those stunning  Beach Cottage from The Lovely Studio for someone but I did get the urge to glossy accent the sea I coloured for them to sail on!!

So yesterday afternoon there was a disaster.....my faithful pooter died....sob sob...now this is not too awful because my gorgeous husband often backs my pooter up for me and he is also super techy so I've not lost anything important to me but it's still sad to say goodbye to the comfort of log ins known land!!! romfl...yes peeps, I will be that person quietly swearing as she tried to remember her passwords for everything instead of the pooter just knowing them!!!!  Luckily, I know most of them off by heart but there will no doubt be a few I totally don't know and the heaven that is bookmarks will be lost!!

We have ordered a new one from the catalogue that should be here in the next few days so for now it will be the small walk out to the garage to use Scott's super whizzy thing if I really need to!

Right, I had better get my bug bum into gear and get ready for the day. It's my mummy's birthday today so I need to pop her card and pressie over to her and school run and then it's some crafty indulgence for me. I'll be working on my Make it Crafty secret santa card. I'm so excited about that! I love to make little bits for people.

Thank you for popping in, hugs Lou xxx

Jack O'Lantern.........

Images- Jack O'Lantern.
Morning everyone!!

I'm in for you today with my Dream Team make of the week and boy oh boy did I have fun with this one!!

If you peek very closely at the bottom left corner you can just about see the acetate card base for my spookily cute card today!

I used Just a pumpkin as my background and then merged the super sweet new little Jack O'Lantern just on the top so he looks like he's escaping from the mouth of the background pumpkin! I carefully cut out the centres of the background pumpkins eyes before adhering it to a cardbase I made with acetate so it looks like the whole thing is floating! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! I love it!!!

Yesterday The Daubney Trio went out to have a lovely walk around one of my Nana and Grandad's favourite places, Clumber Park. I decorated a little stone with a photo of them and sharpied on a little message and then gave it a good couple of coats of decopatch glue to keep them safe. We all found it very comforting to carry them round and take a few photo's of our walk before we found them the perfect place to stay.

We also wore our new walking shoes so we can get them bedded in nicely before holiday fun walking time comes up in a couple of weeks. I am ever so pleased with mine, they are quite comfy with the gel insoles that the man suggested too. We spoke to him when we were trying to choose my shoes as chemo has left me with quite sore feet and a few bruised and loose toenails so I want to keep my feet happy in any new shoes!! It was all good yesterday tough whilst walking and a good 4 milewalk with no oucies in a brand new pair of walking shoes gets a big tick off on the Fabulous List for me!! he he!!

Right, time to pootle off! I've got banana bread to take out of the oven and a few little bits I need to get done before the school run later! Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Spirit of christmas....

Hi everyone!

I decided to have a little tiddly time today. I was flicking through my printed out images coloured up pile and came upon these cuties that I had rescued off an older card that I managed to spill a cuppa on a couple of years ago!! Luckily, they weren't ruined in the spill disaster and I so needed to have another go with the Mini pack 'wonderland' 6x6 paper pack from The Ribbon Girl again. I don't know why but it just makes me smile!!

I also couldn't resist using the super sweet Cluster pearl tiny on silver stem. Eeeeeeeeep! it's so pretty. I snaffled some teeny bells out of my stash boxes to make 3 little 'holly berries' with and threaded them down the stems then twisted the excess stem wire around a cocktail stick to make the pretty little twirly bits. Then I glued the Rose leaf to the stems and hey presto! a super cute Holly-ish embellie!!

Right, I had better go and see how my wonderful hubby is getting on with a bit of block paving he is doing outside our front door. He's making such a wonderful job of it. Thank you for popping in on me, huge hugs Lou xxx

Pretty Pumpkin...........

Image- Pretty Pumpkin from MIC.
Papers- Crate Paper 'Farmhouse'.
Morning peeps!

Well, I've done the school run, walked my pawsy buddy and absolutely frozen my butt off! come in and defrosted with a lovely cup of boiled water and I've made it up to my craft room for a quick bloggy catch up.
Grandad's funeral on tuesday was beautiful. The sun shone for him which he would of loved. The church service was lovely and we let out some of his friends pigeons and 2 of Grandad's  own pigeons to fly Grandad away. Then close family went on to Alford Crematorium which is just beautiful.

I'll be honest, I am finding it very hard and missing my Grandad greatly but I am muddling on through it in the normal Lou way. He wouldn't want me to be sad, but then I am not sure he realised just how loved and special he was to everyone so he will just have to forgive us all a bit of a slip in our braveness!! he he!! so yesterday I had a lovely bit of time colouring to keep myself busy.

I couldn't resist colouring up one of Krista's new images released over in the Make it Crafty store. I printed out 2 and went for the gorgeous Pretty Pumpkin. How could I not with all the yummy autumnal weather? I had the most fun doing her glittery pumpkin!! a good splodge of clear glitter pen and then glossy accents on top made it look so pretty.

Right, I am going to get another hot drink now and then have some fun with my stroke only Maja designs Sofiero papers from the Ribbon Girl pressie my gorgeous friend Wendy sent me, some days it just calls to me so much I have to go with it and cut some!! lol!!!!

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Texas.........

Image- Texas from the Hurricane Donation Set.

Hi everyone,

I've been busy baking today but I gave myself a lovely hour to make a card too. This cute lil cowboy dude has been sat on my desk all week and I couldn't resist colouring him up today!

He's the super sweet 'Texas' from the gorgeous Hurricane Donation Set . I think I'll be using this set for a couple more weeks! he he!! I just love the images in it!!!

And don't forget, every purchase of this wonderful set gives a $5 donation to Animal Rescue and GoFundMe's Direct Impact Fund for hurricane victims. So if you want to help those affected by Harvey and Irma, and get some super sweet images in the process this is the set for you!!
I used a sentiment from my silhouette files for my card and a cute little cowboy hat charm to finish it of!! Right, I've got a buttercream mission to complete now!! I'd better get on it!!

Scott has been busy working away on doing some block paving in our front garden so I need to make him a lovely cuppa and some tea to warm him up because it's yuck out there today!  Thank you so much for popping in on me, huge hugs Lou xx
