A secret....

Image- A Secret.

Morning everyone!!

I'm in with a post for you today and I couldn't wait to get my hands on the gorgeous new  A Secret image. I loved the way she is posed and that little finger saying 'shhhhh' is too cute!!

The sentiment is from Maurie's Oscar rubber stamp at Penny Black , but I thought it was just perfect for this card!!

Thank you for popping in, hugs Lou xxx

Little Maja scene fun!!

Morning everyone!!

I'm in with my  Swedish Housecrafts DT make for you today.

I have been holding onto to the last few pieces of my Maja Designs Nyhavn ( New Harbour) collection  papers in readiness for this super fun make.

For the box base I used my Lawn Fawn Shadow box dies from my stash but it's the papers that are the absolute stars on this make.

From the first day I got them, I just knew the piece with the people, and the piece with the stunning little houses on would make the most fun with fussy cutting to make a little scene!

You can just about see in this photo where I used my hot glue gun on the couple piece, and the father and daughter, to make them pop out from the front of their placements. Even the border strip with the sweet sentiment on it could be used as part of this make.

Right, that's enough Lou waffle for one morning!! I'm going to have a cuppa and a little womble around the internet and have a think about what my crafty fingers might fancy doing today! I've had a lovely walk with the dogs this morning so they are sorted and Mo will be at school so a day of fiddling with paper sounds just perfect to me!

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs Lou xxx

Bronte Bits...

Image- Bronte Bits.
Papers- Bronte Bits papers past Freebie.
Sentiment- made by me, on my pooter!! he he!!

Morning everyone!

I'm in with my normal Monday morning Dream Team make for you today. I am really enjoying delving into some older images again so I popped back to 2009 in my little Mo's Digital Pencil time machine and picked up the gorgeous Bronte Bits image set. I love all of Maurie's images but sometimes a trip back to the older ones really is such a fun thing to do, plus, I always forget just how much gorgeousness there is to choose from.

I have to be honest and say I have a super soft spot for Bronte, she is such a sweetheart of a pawsy peep character. And I couldn't choose just one to work with so I decided to chose 4 and make a little Instagram kind of collage inspired card. I absolutely love how it came out!!

I used my spellbinder's Polaroid picture frame to die cut the image mat out and the gorgeous past freebie of Bronte Bits papers to coordinate with it and a little rubber stamp from my stash with a little insta style camera icon on it to finish it off, sooo cute!!!

Right, I need a coffee! my head is still stuck in weekend mode today and the fact that Mo breaks up for half term on Friday isn't helping me much because I want to be on holiday already!! lol!!! but seriously, I adore those days of family bubble time and no school pressure. I am just a mamma who likes her little guy at home!!

Thank you for popping in, hugs Lou xxx

Feel................

 Image- Wryn Shares Hope.
Papers- Past Tiddly Inks freebie.
Morning all!!

It's time for a Fab Friday post over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog....and I am totally late waffling away with my blog post because we were up until late last night popping some wallpaper up in our bedroom...I feel like a zombie this morning!! but it's ok because.....Wryn sends Hope!! lol!!!!

She really is the best and cutest little ray of hope and I feel especially connected to this image because...well...I begged for it for you all!! and I really would love to see her used more.

Now, you might notice she has 'FEEL' on her little washing line there. This 'FEEL' is really important. It's not meant for your emotional feeling, it's there because I want you to FEEL YOUR BOOBIES. I mean really feel them, squish them while you are standing up, squish them while you are laying down, get someone else to squish them for you, note any changes in your boobies or nipples and get them checked.

Since last year, I must seem like a broken old record stuck on repeat for you all but it really is so very important for everyone. Women and Men can get Breast Cancer so FEEL, FEEL, FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL!!!

Now I've waffled on enough, let's take a moment to look at Wryn's cuteness!! squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! and I do love a card with pop so I just had to get my Lawn Fawn scalloped Box pop up card die out.

Some zingy eye-catching pink cardstock for the base and that gorgeous ribbon freebie paper (...that I must nag at Christy to pop in the Wryn shares Hope file for you if she's still got it!!) just make me smile before we even get to Wryn herself!!

I actually used my clear stamp form of this image for my make and I stamped out a few of the cute little ribbon that comes with it too just to pop around my make.

Wahooooooooooooooooo!! you made it to the end of Lou waffling on at you to CHECK YOUR BOOBIES!!! Wryn gives you a big thumbs up!! he he!!

Thank you for popping in, huge hugs and... CHECK YOUR BOOBIES!!!.... Lou xxx

Berry Fairy Aliz.........

Morning everyone!!

I'm in for you today and I hope you don't mind a couple of videos on my DT makes for you today because they are the easiest way to show what I have been having fun with this week!!

Now, if you didn't already know, there are a selection of Maurie's images pre-colored in the store. CLICK HERE to take a peek at whats there. I used Berry Fairy Aliz and Mummu Dancing.

Image- Mummu Dancing.

They were so much fun to make!! I used Lori Whitlock's Hexagon never-ending card cut file on my Silhouette to make the bases and the absolute joy of it all was how easy it was to use the pre-colored images and their matching sentiments within the card!! just magic!!

Thank you for popping in, Huge hugs Lou xx

Wallpaper Tilda...

Morning everyone!

I'm popping in today with another Swedish Housecrafts DT post. I have to confess to another make with new Magnolia stamps Fixer Upper collection !! they really are just so gorgeous to play with and Wallpaper Tilda needed her first Lou inking!!

I love that she also comes with wallpaper! how cute is that?! I used a strip for her wallpapering job, making sure to roll it like a real roll of wallpaper and another strip to paper piece her some super cute decorating dungarees with a matching a bow. A girl still need to accessorize even when decorating!

To really make Tilda come alive, I stamped her out on the card base and again on my colouring cardstock. I coloured the Tilda on the base first so that I knew I hadn't missed any for my fun plans! then I coloured the top part of the extra stamped out one and 'cut' her at the waist.

I turned the card a little for this photo so you could see the way I popped out the top half of Tilda and attached her to her roll of wallpaper. Then I stuck her paper pieced and fussy cut dungarees right onto the card base layer and then out a little onto the top popped out part. It looks so sweet!!

For the wet look wallpaper paste, I used the Magnolia Fixer Upper background brush stamp. I stamped it with my  Tsukineko Emboss Ink pad and some clear ultra thick embossing powder from my stash. I love how it still looks all gooey ready for the next strip of wallpaper to go up!

The base of the card is made using the Recipe Card die. I thought it would make a change to having a normal card base and I love the delicate edge it has to it. I used the 2nd die in the set to make a really sweet little 'new home' themed a couple of charms with the teeny house and key from the Magnolia stamps You're invited Doo Hickey set.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!! it all came together so cute!!!!

Right, I had better crack on really. After a gorgeous family bank holiday bubble, I have to admit I am not keen on handing the little fella back to school today! Roll on half term!!!!!

Have a fab day everyone, huge hugs Lou xxxx

Love you more than coffee....

Image- Henry.
Sentiment- Coffee.
Morning everyone!

It's my Dream Team post time again today and I have a make using Henry to share with you all.

He is just so sweet and I was thinking Fathers Day so I cropped just his little head and coffee cup out with my die set and then printed out the sentiment from the Coffee image to go with him to make him just perfect for those coffee loving Daddy's out there!! (....I know a Daddy that lives here and definitely loves coffee so I think I know a small boy that will steal this card!!!).

We have been having the most amazing bank holiday weekend here so far. The weather has been gorgeous and my boys have been really enjoying some golfing time. Yesterday we went over to Scott's Mum and Dad at the caravan again and Mo had the most fun doing 2 rounds of the nine-hole golf course there, as well as the nine-hole course he did here in Lincoln with Scott yesterday!! I have absolutely adored the weather being so nice that his golf bug can hit big time and Scott absolutely loves something they can go off and have some Daddy and Mo time doing.

Today I am not sure what we have planned but whatever we do, I know it will be lovely.

Thank you so much for popping in, huge hugs Lou xx

Love Love Love Tilda.....

Hi everyone!

I'm popping in today with another Swedish Housecrafts DT post.

I was in a Magnolia Mini World mood!!! Suha has such a great range of them in the shop and I can never resist them. I mean, Magnolia is already cute enough but Mini size?? oh my!! you just can't help yourself!!

I was also in one of those moods where I wanted to add a few of my favorite purchases from the shop on my card. It felt like a Love/ Thankful sort so I masked my little Magnolia Mini World Love Love Love Tilda, pulled out my Gummiapan Worn Hearts stamp and Tsukineko Emboss Ink pad and some gold sparkle embossing powder from my stash to pop in the background and had some fun heat embossing the hearts behind her.

Then I added a little Faded Jeans and Tattered Rose distress ink around her and buffed it off the sparkly embossed hearts with some kitchen roll so they came through perfectly.

The matting layers on my card are, of course, Gummiapan Old Paper dies. They are just so pretty and look so effective. All I needed to do was distress ink the edges a little and then roll them around my pokey tool on some of the corners to really get that old paper feel.

And not forgetting those stunning Gummiapan Integrated hearts die cuts I had done. I can never say enough times " Do not throw away the negative cuts from this die" !! They really do make the most beautiful embellishments to add here and there on your card. I tucked the actual die cuts under my matting layers for a little point of interest and then added the negative cuts around my card.

I added some distress ink to the top edges of the hearts and just a few little white gel pen dots to highlight them a little.
