My wedding cake- for Chris!!!!!!

Hello peeps!!!

Well I have had a fabulous day today, I was driven to Sir Stampalot by my very amazing hubby to watch Chris demoing. For anyone who hasn't seen the Sir Stamaplot girls in action, you definately need to, they are all awesome!!!

Chris had whipped through 5 totally gorgeous cards by the time I had to leave ( due to a very sleepy Mo who had been biking with daddy at ferry meadows!!) and had bought along a load of super stunners with her too. Go to her blog and keep checking back until she posts her advent calendar, OMG its was adorable!!!!

Just before I left, Lou and Fleur arrived, and a lot of other Sir Stampalottie Hotties!!!! for me it was a bit like being in a room full of famous people!! I pop in on people's blogs and love reading their posts and seeing their creations!! I am a bit shy in the real world so sorry if I don't say hello properly girls! I will get there in the end!!!!

So, while Chris was demoing we were chatting to Louise about what she had been up to on holiday and she had been to see shrek 4. Now my house are big shrek lovers, scott and I are probably the biggest shrek lovers on our house, this picture is our wedding cake!!!!! I am posting it for Chris and the other ladies!!! The lady who made it was awesome. We told her we wanted 3 layers, a stone path, dragon, donkey and shrek and fiona on top!! it had 2 choccy cake layers and the bottom was fruit cake. We kept our cake totally secret until the big day.

Right my head is buzzing with ideas after such a fab day and I have to go on my daily blog womble!!!

Thank you for popping in!!!

Tiddly Inks challenge 18- Gear up for school!!

Hello!! I'm back!!!!!
I have been busy finishing up my challenge card for the tiddly inks challenge blog!! This week they it is time to gear up for school, which was perfect with my youngest niece fast approaching her first day at 'big girl school'.

With this momentous day almost here I decided a going to school kit was needed!!!! I made an easel card and then made up a little box with a window to go onto the bottom part of it.
I covered a small notebook, ruler and trusty ikea pencil with the blackboard paper and then found a little pair of red plastic scissors to complete the kit!! a little red ribbon taped to the notebook is holding the pencil nice and snug and was perfect to slip the scissors into.
I coloured up my schoolgirl with my promarkers and made a cute and made a cute little sentiment in word.
I did harriet's name with my yummy white fabric thickers and glittered up the edges a bit to match my colour scheme.

Now, I take a squillion photo's of my little mo in the hope that one day I will manage to do more than one scrapbook page a year. Mo has had a bit of a traumatic week this week with his 'best best bestest friend' moving away. This photo is of their hug on wednesday morning when we went to wave them off, you can just see mo's prized 'little red flying machine' that his best buddy bought him as a leaving present. I am still at the stage where this photo makes me all weepy and daft so I wanted to share it with you all.

....and just to prove he is doing ok, here is my little man after dressing himself completely independently for a party this afternoon, check out the tie!!!! he had a lovely time and that is fab as he is so funny about going to parties and will normally say no to going or chicken out and the last moment and want to stay home! it was my next door neighbours little girls 2nd birthday and he thinks she is 'so cute and small'!!!!!

This creation used:

white hessian cardstock.
Charcoal chalk pad.
promarkers- tan, buttercup,sandstone-hair. vanilla,pastel pink-skin. pastel beige-socks.
copics-R35,R37-shirt and bow. B95,B97- skirt.
White fabric Thickers.
Red satin ribbon.
Computer generated sentiment- Baabookhmkbold
Bit of doodling- black sukura glaze pen.
I also want to send out a huge hug to Fleur and Vicky who made my week this week by sending me lovely awards, I will get them sorted out and posted tomorrow girlies but just wanted to let you know how much they meant to me, thank you so much xxxxxxxx
Right, cuppa calling me!!!
Big hugs Lou xxxxx

Fun with favour boxes!!

Morning everyone!!
when Scott and I got married I made all our wedding favour boxes myself using some flat pack cream coloured favour boxes I bought off good old ebay!!! I bought way too many but they were cheap so I still have a few left!!
I decided to experiment with one a couple of weeks ago when getting some little bits together for Anice and this is the result!! I think it is gorgeous!!
Because they were flat it was really easy to just stick them to a piece of paper with removable tape runner and then pop them into my printer!!
I used my Dreams come true cd from funkyahnd for this one and then added a little 'mr and mrs' sentiment from my computer using my oval punch set.
I love how the pattern on the paper turned it into something so sweet and elegant with just the click of a button on my laptop!!!
The yummy heart choccy ( which may still be in there depending on how hungry Anice and Corrina were when the Lou box of bits arrived......LOL!!!) is just a little choccy heart left from a huge box of thorntons choccies I got from one of the parents at work, what a yummy pressie!! I declare that all pressies should be edible!!!!! romfl!!!!
This Lou creation used:
Dreams Come True cd rom- Funkyhand.
A flat pack favour box from e-bay.
Stampin Up scalloped oval punch.
Stampin Up oval punch.
Sentiment- Computer generated- Bradleyhand font.
Black satin ribbon (thin)
A little bit of soft cream net from dunlem mill to line the box with.
Yummy choccy heart from Thorntons!!!

Lili of the valley for my grandad.

Morning everybody!!!!
It is my grandad's birthday today ad this is the card I made for him. It is quite simple and was a joy to make, I love it when cards happen like that!!!!!
The sun is shining at the moment which is nice as we had torrential rain here last night... didn't mind that either as it made the rowdy teenagers a few doors down having a bit of a get together quieten down a treat!!!!
I used watercolour paper again and I must say it comes out rather fabulous, the promarkers work a treat with it and don't bleed much at all and it leaves a lovely textured look and feel to the image.
I am attempting to be much more organised with my blog now after seeing my friends cool little lists at the botoom of what they used in their creation. I love this, it stops me thinking 'where is that from?' or 'what did they use there?'. A little enabling goes a long way!!! romfl!!!!!! so from now on my posts will have the little this creation used waffle like below!!!! with helpful little linkies!!! ( for enabling of course!!!!)
We are going for a womble over to the park again today for rock wall climbing and skateboarding!! Mo had great fun trying them out yesterday, sitting on his bottom on the skateboard and zooming down ramps!!
We are trying to squeeze in as much play with his little best friend as we can before he moves on wednesday, Mo is still rather upset about it all but the mummy's have been making plans for meeting up half way between our houses already!!! so he should be ok. There have been lots of tears and I am not at all sure how he will take the first day back at school without Callum there but I am sure he will be ok.....!!! I hope anyway!!! so.....
This creation used:
Promarkers- sandstone, tan, leaf green, pear green, pastel blue, honeycomb, gold, pastel beige, henna and cool grey 1 and 2.
Paper- The Langton watercolour paper ( not cold pressed) as advised by the fabby laila from lotv!!!
Computer generated sentiment- Harrington font.
Hope this helps a little peeps!!!
Thank you for popping in on me!!

My funky bits that were on the TV!!!

Ok, so if you pop in on me often you will know I have just got my little DT position on the Funkyhand team.

I am so immensely proud and happy to be on the funkyhand DT, if I am honest I still can't quite believe it!!! I keep seeing my name on the sidebar on everyones blogs and still have to pinch myself!!

If any of you managed to get tuned in, Anice was on C&C on the 13th august demonstrating what the superb cd's, Colour me Happy and Dreams come true can do.

And there on the display of all the gorgeous and fabulous yummy creations from the amazing funky DT were 2 of my little creations, there was my cute little memo book and this DIY dad card. I squealed even more when Leone picked up my new baby elephant card out of the box near the end!! It is just so funny seeing your cards on the TV!!!!!
Needless to say we taped it and Mo has been showing every relation that visits us 'the funky lady', never mind mummy's cards!! he even knows where to find her on the sky planner!! its quite cute!!!

I love the Colour me happy Cd as it has some great 'manly' images on it!!! I picked out this DIY one, I just love all the little tools. They got a little bit of promarker treatment and a squeeze of glossy accents to make them look even cuter!!!!

The gorgeous browny red paper is from the delighted laughter colourway and I used a good old bit of garden string to go around the edges. I added some funky little faux brads made with scraps of my paper, a bit more twine across an ek dotted wave punched piece of paper and a cute little hammer charm. The 'dad' I cut on my cricut using a scrap of the paper I had left!! A bit of glossy accents on that too to make it stand out and job done!!

For this super cute little new baby card I stuck with the delighted laughter colours again, I printed my paper out and then popped it back into the printer to get my 'new baby' words using the digi alphabet on colour me happy, I love how you can choose the colours you want your alphabet to be and resize it to your needs, just fab!!!

I also printed the sweet little elephant out onto the patterned yellow. The little buttony strip behind him is a cuttlebug border.

Right I have 3 very gorgeous little people to feed now!!! toasties are on the menu today (....again!!! i think i have started a trend for them with these little peeps!!!!)
Thank you for popping in on me.

Hello!!!
I have had a fabulous day today. A house full of little people and busying myself around them!! we decorated cakes, made ice lollies and I introduced them into the world of shrinkies!!!! oh they loved it!!! so a quick little post from me tonight.
I made this card a couple of weeks ago at craft club but I just haven't got round to blogging it yet!!!
I got this gorgeous edwin in a stamp swap and i love him!!! The little shells are from my magnolia stamp club treats and the cute little tags are SU. The paper is from my little 6x6 memory makers pad.
I added a little towel made out of kitchen roll to my cool dude surfer edwin!!!!! I just thought it made him look a bit cooler!!!! romfl!!!!
There are some whispy little clouds in the background i made by rubbing my antique linen distress inks over a little cloudy shaped piece of paper!!!!
Thankyou for popping in on me and taking a peek.

funky birthday!!

This is my second post today!!! I wishI could say I made 2 cards today but I haven't!! I made this one a couple of weeks ago ready to send off to Anice with some other funky bits!!!

I love the paper on this card, its from my funkyhand dreams come true cd along with its little digi stamp flowers that are in the extras part of the cd. I love the funky and modern papers and stamps on the cd, they are just so much fun to use!!
The scalloped cardbase is a craftwork cards one, distressed a bit around the edges with antique linen distress ink.
I cut the digi with an oval nestie and added a bit of green bling to the flowers and stamped on a little happy birthday sentiment.
I used a tiny bit of lace and ribbon across the middle to break it up.
For an extra bit of yumminess I folded back one of the corners and turned a scrap of my patterned paper to differ the direction of the stripes through the pattern to match the inside of the card and added a little brad to hold the rolled corner back.
That really is it for today!! the bike ride from yesterday has caught up with me and I have got all sleepy!!!! so off for a cuppa and a fig roll to wake me up enough for a monday night womble around everybodies blogs!!!

Tiddly Inks challenge 16-windows.

Hello peeps!!!
I had an absolutely wonderful day yesterday. We went to Grimsthorpe Castle with some special friends ( including mo's "best best best best best friend"!!!). We cycled for 9.4 miles, most of the ride was on lovely ground but there was some very definate off roading over bumpy grass that left my thighs a burning!!!! romfl! we had a gorgeous relaxed picnic lunch and then onto exploring the gardens and veggy patch and of course the adventure playground. All 3 boys adored going in with the deers and sheep and Mo was amazed by the male deers with huge antlers!
Today Mo and I have been watching the combine again! He is always memorised by this huge piece of machinery!! he absolutely loves them.

So enough Lou waffle and onto my card!!!!

The challenge over on Tiddly Inks challenge blog this week is windows. Now I have to admit my firs attempt I just couldn't warm to so I decided to go for clean and simple with this one. I have had this cute little girl, called watcha doing? for a while and not used her and she just lended herself to the window with her little peeking face and hands that fitted wonderfully over the window ledge.

And how awesome is the gothic window?!!! I love it.It comes with the gorgeous scattered brickwork around it too. I printed it out onto some linen cardstock to get a sort of rough stone look and coloured it all with my chalks.I really like the stoney chalky effect. You can just about see the gorgeous trees and grass through the window
I coloured my little girl with my promarkers and embossed her so she stands out through the window.
I went for an easel fold because they are sweet cards and used the sentiment that comes with the little girl to hold the easel up.

I am actually quite chuffed with a simple little card for today!!! will be making some more cards tonight as I have 4 birthdays coming this week!!! busy me!!!
Thank you for popping in!!!

glitter and glitz challenge!!

Wow, a mega migraine knocked me back yesterday and for a bit of this morning but then scott took me to tesco's to get some migraine tablets, took 2 and I am feeling quite good at the minute!!!!
I have even managed to make 2 cards in as many hours ( lou thinks these could be great tablets and she will have a migraine more often!!! romfl!!!).

My first card is my entry for the 'Glitter and glitz' challenge over on penny black at allsorts.

I have had this penny black t is for transparent critters party stamp set in my stamp stash for 2 years or so!!! I have made one card using it but I got it out this morning, dusted it off and stamped away to make this gorgeous card for scott's mum's birthday next week. ( i am posting this in the hope that they have left for the caravan and she doesn't have a sneaky peek at my blog before she goes......!!!!!!)

I coloured it up with my promarkers and added lots of versamark brilliance dazzle, and a bit of at you spica glitter pen dazzle to the cake and candle. I glazed icing and the candle flame for good measure too!! The little acetate butterflies have got glitter on the back of them too that just sparkles through the acetate beautifully.
I made the mum bit with my bargain find thickers from tkmaxx. I put a bit of versamark brilliance on the letters and the roses to glitter them up a bit and the little fronds are one of my yummy marthas!!

The dark green card base is pearlescent cardstock and the gorgeous linen texture looking paper is from my funkyhand deams come true cd, the faux stitching on them is my gorgeous new kelly panacci stamp set ( enabled by the lovely Lou and Fleur xxxxxxxx).

Now onto my second card of the day!!! this card is for my lovely sister in law, verity. I love her to bits but haven't seen her much this year :(. The 2 gorgeous little people on the front are my niece and nephew. My very amazing hubby took this picture of them a few weeks ago when we had a play day at our local nature park, it has a gorgeous park.
I have used my gorgeous funkyhand paper again ( one piece of A4 for 2 card is fab!!). After seeing kathy's fantastic holey cards I just had to do another one with a big window and went for a circle to go with the tunnel they were playing in whe this photo was taken. There was a little girl behind rufus but the magic that is my husband edited her out for me so I could have just rufus and harriet in the piccy.

The swirls are my magnolia swirly stamp ( yup, enabled by Lou again!!!) stamped with frayed burlap distress ink. Inside te card the paper is one of my free my minds eye papers from a mag and a bit more swirly stamp and ink. I cut around the photo where harriet's foot was to make thm pop out a bit.I love how this turned out.
Apologies for if my writing and sentences are a bit waffley, these tablets make me feel a little squiffy!!!! Right off for a womble with mo and the dog, think the fresh air will do me good and it looks terribly like rain again so I had better sneak out while I can!!
Thank you so much for popping in on me,
Big hugs Lou xxxxxxxx

A funky little book !!

Morning peeps!!! I tried to get this post on lat night but our internet wasn't playing due to a fried wireless hub!!!! so Mr.D has swapped the hub for our home hub so I can get on the internet, oooh he's fab!!!

Firstly and most importantly!!!.....

Anice will be demoing live Create and Craft TV show TODAY!!!!! Friday the 13th of August at 9am!!

You will the find Create and Craft on TV channels Sky Channel 671, Freeview 36 & Freesat 813 so please the in and take a good look at the fab colour me happy and dreams come true cd's in use ,they are absolutely super.

I used it to create this gorgeous little memo book and matching pencil!!! ( using the old faithful beer mats and ikea pencils of course!!!). This little book uses the awesome big dotty paper on delighted laughter colourway. Its just delicious!!

I made the pages using some gorgeous recycled index cards from the poundshop, I love recycled card!!!

I made a couple of gorgeous little pockets with paper matching the cover of the book, a bit of chalk pad around the edges and a little help from my loopy martha to pretty it up even more!!

I made a little vellum pocket with a tag in for a special message and a little holder for the pencil so it doesn't go floating away around the handbag of the receiver!!! lol!!!!!

A few funky faux brads, a little bit of gorgeous green ribbon and a punched circle with 'memo's' written on it and I was finished!!! I edged my punched circle with some more loopy martha to tie it in with the pocket pages inside the book.
Right, must dash as I need to get a cuppa ad claim my place on the settee to watch the funkyhand papercrafting on create and craft and mo wants to get ready to wave to funkylady!!! please don't forget to tune in and see what the DT have been making as they are all awesome, I have a long way to go to catch up!!!!
Big hugs

my card for my fabulous hubby!

My second post of the day!!!!! told you I would be back later!!! Lol!!!

So this card is for my amazing husband Scott. We will of been together for 8 wonderful years tomorrow, 4 of them married. We chose to get married on the date we first got together as it holds so much for both of us. For any of you who know me already, you will know Scott is amazing. He supports and encourages my crafting which I appreciate fully and he is the best guy ever.
Ok enough of me slushing and getting emotional!!! onto my card!!!

I got this funky fella's paper pack from funky hand before I got my little place on the DT. I loved that it was proper fella paper! boys colours and patterns!!
I had an idea for this card last night and then it just flowed!! I cut my heart on my cricut in the patterned paper first, I used the shadow function fr it because I knew I wanted another layer to peep through too.
The funky fella's paper cut like butter (which was fab as sometimes my cricut decides to eat my papers for a snack!!!!)

Then I cut my underneath layer in normal so it had a nice edge showing beneath the patterned layer.I roughed up the edges on both as its a man card!!!

The 'love' text stamp is from magnolia and I stamped it with frayed jeans distress ink and then went around the edges of it with my antique linen. I wanted to smudge the edges of the text into my antique linen but think I will have to practice that a bit more!!!

Then a bit of inking and time to cut the sentiment. I chose the 'I love you' from george again and cut it in the same papers to match it in. I popped it on a piece of acetate with a heart shaped brad so it dangles above my heart. I popped some crackle glaze on the sentiment but its a little hard to see in the piccy I think.

The 2 little hearts in the bottom left I embossed on my foam mat, inked a little with black and then siliconed onto my card.

I hope Scott will love this, I find mens cards a bit tricky!!!! but it will have a slushy essay on the inside by tomorrow morning !!!!

Thank you so much for popping back in!!

hugs Lou xx

whats cooking this morning?!!!

Yup, its my 'b' plates from my cuttlebug!!
These ones are the ones I use for cutting ( i have 2 sets of 'b' plates, one for cutting and one for embossing!!).

They were looking awfully bendy and getting hard to push through my little green cuttlebug so one of my lovely cricut MB friends, Pam, gave me a lovely recipie for sorting them out!! I just has to share Pam's recipie!!!

Here it is!!!!!

Take 2 shamefully bendy and tatty 'b' plates and place on a baking tray!! Preheat the oven to 160c (and reassure your 5 year old that he won't have to eat them when they are cooked!!!!) Yep, that one on the left hand side is so bent it won't even lay on the tray!!!!!!

Bake for 10 mins!!

Take out of the oven and leave to cool !!
Just look at the difference!!!!!
OOOOh pam!!!! thank you so much, I love how straight they are now!!!!!! How cool is that!!!!!
Right off for a cuppa now!!! then to try and take a good piccy of scott's anniversary card for tomorrow made with my fabulous funky fellas paper I got from funkyhand last month, it cut like an absolute dream in my cricut.
See you soon!!!

Fit for a princess!!!

Hello!!!
It has taken me a few days to get this finished off as I have been at craft club and today I have been suffering with the dreaded monthlies, grrrrrrrr!!!!
So onto my little project!!!!
I decided to go for a little door plaque fit for a little princess!! I know that my niece Lily will love this!
I bought the little crown shaped frame from Ikea quite some time ago ( .....probably about the time I borrowed some pencils for my mini books!!! romfl!!!!) and it is just so adorable. I knew what I wanted to do with it because the challenge over on sir stampalots blog is 'Bring on the bling'
I am so lucky to have a creatopia which meant that all I had to do to bling up my terribley plain crown was run it through my creatopia and then sprinkle my gorgeous glitter over the top!!!! crown frame done!!! I bought this glitter at the dome show a couple of months ago when margaret, Fi and I went on our jolly road trip!!!!! It is gorgeous, so sparkly and extremely fine, when I remember where I go it from I will pop it in this post.......!!!
The gorgeous little everyday princess is coloured up with my promarkers. She is pastel beige and coral. Her hair is my dull ivory copic ciao pen as I love to do my hair 'Lysa style' since watching her awesome tutorial ( you can watch it here!) Thanks Lysa xxxxxx
The little 'The Princess's Bedroom' was done on my computer.
So there we have it, my entry for the sir stampalots challenge and Tiddly Inks challenge!! both are fab fun this month so make sure you pop over to each and join in.
Right I am off to cheer myself up a bit more by checking out every bodies fab bloggies on a sunday night blog womble!!! If anyone fancies a visit from me leave me a comment so I can find you!!! That way can just click on your name if I am not following yo already!! lol!!! see you all soon!!

Mini books are so much fun!!

Morning Everyone!!!
Now I know that it arrived and Kat has opened it I can post her little book I made her last week for her birthday!!!!
I was going to put it in for the Get funky challenge this month which is pockets!!
I used some gorgeous pink flowery paper from the free romance colourway on my Dreams come true papercraft factory from funkyhand. I adore the whimsical flowers on this one.
I printed it out and popped it through my creatopia to make a huge funky sticker!!!
The card stock I use for my little books is actually beer mats!!! it might seem a funny thing to use but they are just the perfect size and very cheap to get!!! My mum picks them up for me whenever she pops down to her local!!!!!!! romfl!!! (they probably think " hey, its that lady that takes the beer mats home" whenever she goes in!!!")
The little pocket is made out of vellum, there's one on the inside cover and the first page is a pocket on each side ( just fold a little flap of paper up!)

The little pages are lined paper chopped up in my dreamkutz to make sweet little pages.
Now for my confession about the pencil....I too have my mum's genes....it is an ikea pencil!! I always pick up a few when we go as they are just so super handy. I covered it with a bit of my funky sticker to make it match and then made it a little holder from my scraps left over.
The little hearts are just punched out of the paper.
The super cute little annie's card from Tiddly Inks was perfect for the job as she has a plain card in her hand.
I added kats name and then coloured annie in black and pinks, nice and girly!!! she has glossy accents on her shoes and a bit of bling on the hem of her dress, awwwww!!!
Right then, I must dash off and get myself ready for a day of biking at clumber park, it is so beautiful there and we are meeting friends for a good old cycle around and bbq picnic lunch, yummo!!!!
Hugs Lou xx

A gorjuss little birthday card!

Hello peeps!!!!!

I have had another fun day with Mo, the combine harvesters are out in the field next to our house so we have spent the day running up and own the side of the feld watching them, the farmer was so sweet and waved back at Mo every time he came past and Mo waved lie it was the first time he had seen him!!!!! Lol !!!!

So today I had a birthday card to make for my niece's little friend, Amelie. The little gorgeous girl looks so sweet!! I coloured her up and then set to work finding some papers to match her!!!! ( I don't know why I do that but it seems to work for me!!!!)

I printed Amelie's name out in a soft brown to keep in with the colours ( i had to use scotts printer as mine ran out yesterday but you can keep a secret can't you?!!!!) and used my SU oval punch set to cut it out. I distressed it a little and then I embossed it on my foam mat then foam dotted it onto the scalloped punch out.

The papers are bloom and grow and the little flower is just punched scalloped circles and the leaves are my fav martha punches!! ( i have a thing for branchy ones!!)

A little bit of lace and a tiny scrap of paper and we-hey, it was done!!! I am just waiting for the fabulous scott to send me some piccies via our network of a little book I made for Kat for her birthday as my camera is on charge!! it has been busy!!!!

back in a bit!!

Hugs Lou xxxx

Playing with fabric!!!

Good morning peeps!!!!!

The sun is shining here in little ole lincoln today so I am playing catch up with my washing pile!!!

Now I have been so excited about my new DT home and I having a good play this last couple of days making some funky hand bits!!! I have printed so much out that my printing ink has run out!!!!! It was so worth it though!!!

I made this cute little fabric bag with my dreams come true papercraft factory and the bag template from the Funky Seasons cd.
As always I was spoilt for choice in the colourways and got little mo to choose a colour in the end!! he said he "I want a sunny colour because it was rainy outside!!" awww, though he did have great fun puddle splashing and a quick bike ride around the block before it started to pour down again!!!
How did I make it into the rub-ably soft material it is?!!!! It was easy!!!
First I got my blackout lining material. I use this because one side of it has the most gorgeous soft almost velour feel to it. I printed out the handbag template my normal printing paper (its 160gsm and fabulous!) then I ran it through my creatopia to make a big funky hand bag sticker!!!!
Then I stuck my funky sticker to the back of my blackout lining and gave it a good rub!! then all I did was trim around the edges and pop it back into the printer, material side up and printed the dreams come true paper on it! It dries really quickly so I just cut and scored it as I normally would and popped the bag together. I used sticky strip as its fab for being strong!! I love the little spotty paper inside the bag as it looks so pretty and covers up the boring bit of the material beautifully!!
I made a little flap for it to make it a bit handbag styley!! I drew an oval for the tag and stamped a quick happy birthday on it, added a little ribbon to it and glued it on.
The closing for the little flap is just a bow tied through a couple of eyelets on both the bag and the flap.
Mo loved the little bag, he found it when I went to make a cuppa and by the time I had get back into my craft room there were 7 little lego men peeking at me from inside the bag!!!!! so today I have the task of making another one!!
Right must go and hang on the first lot of washing and get a second load on (...the pile is rather large!!!!)
Hugs Lou xxxx

Please pinch me, I must be dreaming!!!

Oh my goodness me!!!!! I am so excited. I couldn't even sleep properly last night and I was desperate to email friends and shout from rooftops!!!!!
Why I am so excitable today?!!!!
Check out the top left of my blog.........just under the header......where it says........

I am still not quite sure I believe it and keep pinching myself!!!!!! I am so excited about being on the same team as the awesome ladies whose creations I look at with a dropped jaw every month on the get funky challenge blog and on their own blogs!
I really am just so happy!! Thank you so much team funky for looking at me and thinking I might fit, I hope I can make you all proud.
And little Mo's response to all this was.........
" mummy do you think funky lady will wave to me from create and craft now ?"
I was rolling on the floor with laughter, bless him!!!!!!
Off to make some more funky bits now (....that is if i can reach my printer from here up on the ceiling where I am still dancing and floating!!!!!)
Great big happy hugs

Lilyboo too august challenge!

Hello everyone!!!!!
Its that first day of the month again and the new challenge is up over on Lilyboo too challenge blog!!
This month we are having an 'anything goes' month, so you can have free rein with any card/creation you fancy but it must have a Lilyboo product on it!! but there's plenty of those to choose from over in our shop on Cuddly Buddly! We have digi stamps, rubber stamps, 3D digital decoupage and digital paper packs.
Don't forget there is also the freebie page if you don't own a boo and want to try one before you buy one!!! lol!!!
So over to my little DT creation for the challenge!!
I decided to use my favourite boy 3D decoupage, football fan. He reminds me so much of my big boy Ryan who is 10 and I really enjoyed using him. I actually love the 3D decoupage sheets, they are already coloured up and its so relaxing sitting and cutting out the bits and it all comes together so beautifully.
I made myself a trophy shaped card using the shadow function, in my cricut design studio. I layered it up with a normal trophy cut on both the outside and inside and added a bit of footbally ribbon to the handles.
I cut out and glued up my football fan and glued him to the front using the happy birthday sentiment that comes on the download.
I love the way this one came out and it is going somewhere safe ready for Ryan's birthday in march 2011!!!!!! ( I bet I put it somewhere so safe I can't find it when I need it!!!!!)
It would be so lovely to see lots of entries this month so come and join in with the fun.
I have a very excited Little Mo out in the garden, we have been to revesby fair show today and he spent £1 on an ex army telescopic sight!!! it is a little broken and just looks like a telescpoe but you would think it is made of gold! He is sat at his little table, looking through his telescope with a paper and pencil, " learning about birds and bugs" !!!! lol!!!! oh to be 5 again!!
right must dash, there is something on ebay I need to peek at!!!!
hugs Lou xxxx
