Morning Peeps!!
I hope you are having a wonderful monday, its Lou in with a post for you this morning.
So this morning make is a bit of a memory one for me. One of my crafty goals this year is to make a card/ scrap page inspired by a memory or moment that means a lot to me. When I was at school I had the most awesome teacher, Mrs. Hutchison and she had a beautiful way with words and the way she read stories and sang used to be so magical to me so this card is made with her fully in mind.
I used the carta bella alphabet junction papers because it is a childhood memory, trimmed down my base papers and ripped a little tear into at the top, curling the edges around my paper piecing tool!! I cut a Die- Namics notched border and fishtail flag and then wrapped some twine around it.All the stamps are from the Die-Namics bookmark die and stamp set. I distressed all the edges of my papers too for a bit of umpf!!!
The sentiment is popped up on some foam and I made the little book charm by stamping 4 of the book stamp and adding a little bookmark of twine before attaching it through the torn part.
Here's a side view so you can see a bit of dimension....
On the inside of the card I stamped the long 'Read This' stamp. I love it because its just perfect for writing your message above it.
Do you ever RAK? not a planned one but an on the spur of the moment real RAK ? .....
Yesterday Mo made me proud. We were cleaning out some of his dressing up outfits that have gotten way too small for him and he said he wanted to give them to someone, not throw them away so we thought of 2 little guys who might enjoy them and Mo knows live near us and got ready to go, then he decided he wanted to give them some of his sweeties too and made them a little bag of sweets to go with the costumes. He had gotten dressed as Harry Potter while we were sorting through so kept his outfit on to deliver the little packages. Then off we went to deliver them. Mo LOVED it, albeit a little shy on delivery on the way home he was floating on air and he said...
"I feel epic! I made 2 little boys really smile!"
swoon, I love my little guy so much. Here's a piccy of his little piles...
Mummy's RAK was pants by comparison to Mo's!! I took some dog food and puppy food to my friend who works for the RSPCA. Last week she mentioned that sometimes the homeless people with dogs come in asking for food for their dogs so I decided my RAK would be some food for them as we have been hanging on to our gorgeous Holly's last food bag and Poppy never went on to pouches so they weren't going to any use on our cupboard. Here's my pants offering!!
Though I have to say we felt like a million dollars all afternoon.
That's all from me today! I am on breakfast buddy duty in a little while and need to get dressed still!!
Have a magical monday! thank you for popping in on me
huge hugs Lou xxx
