Betty's off to the beach for the Get Funky challenge!!

Morning peeps!!!!

Its Lou and Betty here to do our bit for Paula's At The Seaside theme for this month. So, grab your Funky Hand papers ( not forgetting the fabulous funky freebie if need some funkiness!!!) and think colours of the sea, sand, rock pools, icecreams, lifegaurds, tight buttocks in tight speedo's........oops did I loose track there?? ;)

Now ya'll know how much Betty and I like to play and she had a little word with me and said she needed a good beach holiday!!! so I printed out some beautiful papers from 2 of the papercraft factory cd roms, they are completely easy to use as they stay on your pooter without having to load a disc every time and are so easy to swap and change through editions that you end up with a mahoosive pile of yummy papers!!

A good degree of ripping paper for sand and a snip with little mo's wibbly scissors for sea and the background was ready, now all I needed was Betty to get out of the changing room and into the waves!!
I stamped her out, chopped off her heart choccy box and gave her a lovely big beach ball to hold instead. She asked for an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini so I gave her one ( he he he he!! had to add the song, bet ya'll sing it all day now!!!!!).

Betty's beach chair and decking set up is a cut file from the totally awesome Penny Duncan, I am so grateful to her for sharing her awesome creations as I enjoy making bits with them so much and it looks just amazing for Betty to sun herself off on later!!!! LOL!!!

Betty's beach towel on her chair is a scrap of Tea's up paper!! she just had to have a polka dot towel too, a girl needs accessories you know!!!

So get your funk on and pop in to join in with the challenge this month and
PLEASE REMEMBER......you must use at least one Funky hand paper on your creations and entries.

Hugs from Lou.....and Betty of course!!!!!!!

Tiddly Inks challenge 63- Back to school bookmark.

Morning peeps!!!!

Its my fav day of the week again!!! Tiddly Tuesday!!!! that means a new fabby challenge from the Tiddly Inkers and new images in the shop!!
So, lets do the new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog first!!
With all those little peeps getting ready for going back to school, us Tiddly Inkers were challenged to make Back to school bookmarks. My BF got me hooked on making these little bookmarks, I found a tutorial here on splitcoast stampers if anyone needs a peeky on how to make a bookmark.

I chose Tanker Fairy Flies for mine. I also used my school paper download again and distressed it with faded jeans distress ink, then I stamped my little technique tuesday clockwork heart stamp and stamped over the top of my little bookmark. I added' back to school ' to look as if it was coming out of Tanker Fairy's wand, coloured her up to match the bookmark base and then she got nesty treatment!!!
Once it was all together I added a few pearl maker pearls but did them small so they don't disturb the pages of the book that this bookmark goes to!!!
Now.....super exciting because I love these!!!! 2 fabby new images in the Tiddly Inks shop!!!!

Will You?
Aren't they gorgeous???? I had so much fun with these 2 new images so I know you will love them.

Please pop in on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and see what my other awesome teamies have come up with!! And if you are a blog candy lover, my Teamie Marlena has some up for grabs over on her blog.

Fetch a sketch challenge 5.

Morning peeps!!
wooohoooooo!! its another sunny day here in little ole lincolnshire so it should be a lovely day for the little peeps to play outside ( and me to sit on my deckchair watching and have a good colouring session!!!)

Its time for a new challenge too over on the Fetch A Sketch Challenge blog. They (...they being my gorgeous Funky Hand teamies Ruth and Jenny) are being sponsored by Funky Hand this week and I couldn't resist the chance to have a go at the sketch for them. Its such a great one and so versatile, here it is, if you click on the piccy you will be magically pootled off to the Fecth a Sketch challenge blog where you can get some more inspiration for the challenge.

I had great fun making the little toppers up at the top of my post. I used the awesome sentiment circles and toppers on the Now Thats Funky cd from Funky Hand. The sketch was oodles of fun, Thankyou team FAS!!

And here are a few piccies of what I turned my toppers into!!!! I made some cute 4x4 cards using up some scraps of paper from my Dreams Come True papercraft factory ( ...Jules will be most proud of me for using some scrappies up!!!!)

And this cute little back to school gift bag!! oooh I like this one, saw this tutorial on Splitcoast stampers last week and totally had to have a go!!!! The paper for this one  is from the pleased to see ya colourway of the Colour Me Happy papercraft factory. (....and just to make Jules giggle...yes it took me over 30mins to find the cd that had the paper on it matching the scrap I used for my good luck topper.......)

I covered  a little memo book in matching paper and tied a little pencil to it to pop inside the bag!

Cute!!!!!
So there we go!! scraps and sketches are the theme of the day!!!!!!!!! gotta join in with Jules snippets challenge with this post after being such a good girl and dipping into the scraps box (though it is still rather full so requires much more dipping...)

Just time for a cuppa before I go fetch big sis and the children, drop big sis off at work (...booo :( think she should skive and come play craftying with me instead!!!)

Have a great day peeps and don't forget to join in with the sketch challenge!!

Cuddly buddly- swirls and bling and Little Mo sweetie shop.

Image- Snowman Greetings from Lilyboo designs.

Good afternoon peeps!!!

We have had a busy little day here. We were up at 5:30am so I printed out a few yummy Funky Hand papers and got on with my challenge card for the Cuddly Buddly's lets keep creating challenge of 'Swirls and Bling'. Oooh what a dream challenge!! one cute snowman image, my cuttlebug divine swirls folder and some bling later and it was done.

Then onto our day.We all wore red to honour the very very brave Red  4 who lost his life yesterday. Living in our village the red arrows become second nature to us as we see them fly all the time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging's family at this sad time.

Mo decided he wanted to make a sweetie shop so that was this morning activity!! He turned a cardboard box and a kitchen roll holder into his sweetie factory ( the sweeties went into the bags via the kitchen roll holder attached to the box with a bag held at the bottom of the tube by asisstant mummy, all very technical!!!)

Then after making up the little bags of sweeties, he iced some cupcakes and decorated them and decided they should all be 10p each.( no dinosaurs were harmed in the making of the cakes.....!!)

I made him a little tray to carry them in from an old wooden banana box and some gingham ribbony stuff...( and please note the nestied blue funky hand paper toppers " to make my sweeties look fessional" ..think that meant professional but it was cute so mummy and daddy melted instead of correcting the little guy!!!)
and off we went around the grandparents selling sweeties!!!
He did very well ( think the cuteness helped in the selling!!) and came home with his little penny bag
( attached to the front of his tray!!) "full to the brim" in his words!! toooooo cute!!!

Now, today was fabulous, just what having little peeps in your life is all about. Little Mo was so chuffed with himself that he had sold his little sweets in his sweet shop and then this afternoon we all went off for a bike ride to the park. Call me daft, but can life seriously get any better?? it must of taken all of 30 minutes to make this little guy his sweet shop but oh my did he enjoy it and hopefully it will be a very happy summer holiday memory for him.

Well, I had better go serve out tea!! chicken for me and mo, gammon for dady with new tates, corn on the cob and carrots, yummo!!!

Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Mo's DP2 challenge blog- feeling blue.

Hello peeps!!!

I am late in popping on a bloggy post today as we have had a bit of a playing in the garden morning since we got back from scott's mums house. Mo has been in his paddling pool as it is lovely and warm today and in a few minutes we are popping out to meet nanne and grandad in town for nannie's birthday lunch.

Before I go I wanted to share my entry for the DP2 challenge blogs Feeling Blue challenge
I loved this image Mo created of William and Jeffrey as it reminded me so much of my very own thing 1 and thing 2!!!!
The background is a freebie from Mo from a long time ago when I first got addicted to Mo's images.

I printed them out as soon as Scott had bought them!! lol!! love them so much!! and coloured them up with my promarkers. ( little mo has since complained that his t-shirt on the card isn't blue so i need to do another!!!!)

They are popped out a bit from the card base because I wanted them to stand out from the page.

So that is me for today!! off to get full up of chinese food now at the buffet restaurant!! yummo!!

Ocotopode factory butterflies tag from my prize pack

Image- The Octopode Factory for Ryan.

Morning peeps!!!

Yey!!! I am feeling much better today, phew!!! and have had time and enough umpf to have a go at a tag with my Ocotopode factory part of my prize pack from Meredith.  This morning I woke up to an email from Meredith with another image the TGF have donated and that is soooo cute so I will have to have a play with that later.

Now, I am quite new to the making a grungy kinda tag thing so be gentle with me!!!!! romfl!!!! This one is a prezzie for my big sis, so I hope its not too bad!!

For this one I used the Ocotopede prize download, (I can't find it in the shop so I guess you will just have to join in with the cardmaking for Ryan if you want it!!! lol!!!).
I printed it out and coloured it in with my promarkers easy peasy!!! then onto the tag.
I used my versamark dazzle to plonk some swirls all over the tag, then rubbed over some SU pear pizzaz ( birthday prezzie from BF, love it!) then I went round all the edges and a bit into the tag on the bottom left and top right with SU chocolate chip ( also prezzie from BF for my birthday, love it !!!)

I punched out one of the sentiments from the set with my SU oval punch and stuck it on the side.

I added a few green blingy gems and some fluffy brown and light brown fibrews and I thinks its done?! Any comments on what I have done wrong would be ok!!!

If anyone has any awesome tag making tutorials you can share with my that would be fab as I quite enjoyed this one!!
Right cuppa calling and BF leading me astray into sizzix sale which must be looked at...:) :) so I had better go!!! Love skype and blogging at the same time!!!!!!

Huge hugs Lou xxxx

working through my prize pack from Meredith!!!!

 Hello Peeps!!!

Me and feeling rough do not sit together well so tonight I have been taking my mind of poorly by working through some of the gorgeous images I got in my prize pack from Meredith for helping out with Ryan's cards.
Please click here for more info on how you can help and get yours too!! I haven't even got half of them coloured in yet!! These were just the first few that fell out of my printer this afternoon!!!

I was very chiffed when my 11 year old big boy returned from his holiday for a quick visit and deemed my Grumpie from Smeared Inks donation "Cool" !!!
ooooh I love this cute mermaid!!!!

Fabulous Bombshell set!! loved making this bookmark, my BFF got me started on these a couple of weeks ago and they are oodles of fun, thank you Fi xxxxxxx

And this is the last one I have managed to get done!
Wow, what a prize pack filled with yummies so far. Huge Thanks to Meredith and all the awesome people who have donated prizes for the pack. Aida from Tiddly inks who has been in a few of my posts recently is also included in the pack.
What I loved even more is that there were so many I wasn't really aware of and have really enjoyed recieving. My octopede butterflies are sat coloured on my craft desk still, too tired to do anymore and want to get to bed before the paracetemol run out!!!!

If you feel like making a card for Ryan, please click on the linky at the start of this post and get creating away!!!

Thank you for peeking

CES Mix and match

Image- Aida-Gonna miss you from Tiddly Inks.
Papers- Laura Ashley traditional (the blue & yellow flowery bit)
Map paper from a 12x12 huge folder of paper I have had for years
(don't know what its called though!)
Morning peeps!!!

I am back in bloggyland bright and early this morning to share with you my card for the CES challenge blogs Mix & Match challenge. I came in their top 3 again last week, thank you so much girlies, and I can't tell you how much that means to me because sometimes you feel like you are blogging away all to yourself so its lovely to know people pop in and like what you have been busy creating away at. Thank you again xxxx

And so onto the mix and match challenge.....arghhhhhh!! anyone who knows me knows that I always try to stick to the same pad of paper or colourway from Anice's funky hand cd's so this was a challenge and a half for dippy Lou here!!!!

In the end I went for some pretty Laura Ashley paper ( its nestled behind Aida) and some of my huge 12x12 stash. This huge 12x12 stash is what my gorgeous hubby bought me when I first got my cricut, so 5 years ago now and its awesome. I don't know who made it but it came in a mahoosive bag and even though I use some every week it is still going strong!! All the paper is thick, more like thin card, and double sided (yey!!!)
I chose a world mappy style one to go with the travelling theme.

You can just about make out the miss you sentiment and hugs and kisses a la cuttlebug love language cutting die. I cut them out of some corrugated card that Scott put aside for me from some parcels last week, its fab, love the effect it gives. I tied the hugs and kisses on with some garden twine and frayed the edges.

And of course, my little distrezz it all had a good buzzing today roughing up all the edges for me, love it!! its huge satisfaction at the touch of a button!!!!!! ;)

Aida got some promarker treatment and a good splodge of glossy accents on her roses on her hat, along with all the gold/brassy bits on her suitcases. I don't know why I love her so much, she just looks so lovely sat there on her suitcases.

A few blingy gems and I called her done!!!!

Today I am hitting the play area with the children. I am feeling rough with a sore throat so am taking some colouring to do with me and a magazine as they will be in there for hours, only emerging for drinks!! lol!!!

Have a fabby day peeps.

My card for Ryan.

Hello again peeps!!

I decided that I would post the card I made for Ryan. If you want to help and recieve some gorgeous images just for making him a card too, then please click on the big picture of Ryan below to find out more from our lovely Meredith and if you want to learn more about Ryan's story and recovery, there is a blog set up by family and friends HERE.

Before his accident, Ryan had been extremely active in helping to put New Orleans back together again.

For my card I let little Mo choose a stamp!! He chose one of my older LOTV stamps and I chose my old Aye Aye Captain Nitwits collection to make my card with. Then using the fabby sketch over on sketch and stash challenge blog I got to work on my card for Ryan.

I added his name to the little boat and a LOTV sentiment up in the right hand corner. I also had to use one of my super cute little anchor charms!

So today it will be going off to the post office to get mailed to Ryan. I hope his room at the rehab centre is on its way to be covered in cards from people all over the world.

Don't forget to click on the picture and go and join in, the image pack is absolutely awesome and some fabby sponsores have been donating some lovely images.

Tiddly Inks challenge 62- Inch My Way Along.

Image- Inky Critters from Tiddly Inks.

Happy Tiddly Tuesday!!!!!!!

Morning peeps!!!! its another fabby Tiddly Tuesday over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and this week us on team Tiddly were challenged to make some mini creations for any little peeps in our life.  So our challenge this week is.....

If you need some idea's look Here and Here as there are oodles and not forgetting our awesome team Tiddly who have been inching up a storm!!

I have been feeling rather christmassy this last week so my little creation just had to be something christmassy for my little Mo. He absolutely loves christmas and we always put little lights in his bedroom for him.
I found these cute flickering tea light candle lights in the poundshop and he loves them. They flicker like a real candle but are super safe as they are a teeny light! yey!!!

I made a mini version of my lovely friend Catherine's kleenex tissue box to make my little holder and my cute Inky Critters snowman is an inchie!! the whole little thing measures 2 inches wide and deep and 2.5 high.Super cute!!!
And here is  a kinda night time piccy of the little snowman and his candle!!!

Now, whilst I am here blogging away I would like to pop in a quick mention for our Meredith who has a friend called Ryan who had an accident. He is making good steps in his recovery but has recently really responded well to a few cards he had been sent.
Please click on this piccy below to take you to Meredith's post all about Ryan. I am sure he would love to recieve a few inchie creations if you want to make something to join in the chance to win some goodies from Meredith.

and please feel free to post the linky for Ryan on your blogs too.
Have a great day !!

Distressing a gorjuss birthday!!

 Morning peeps!!

Yey, I am pleased to report a fab nights sleep with no daft fireworks going off!! wohooooo!!!!

This mornings Lou share is a card I made for a dear friends birthday. She lurves gorjuss girls so I had to use my 'I found my family in a book' stamp that I bought from Clare's shop, Cloud 9, at the sincerely yours papercraft show back in may.

There is ooodles of distressing on this one!!!!! The card blank was a kind of cookie colour and the image was stamped onto white, mased over and then a good old splodging of tea stain and walnut distress inks added!!
Same on my book page, which I punched down the egde of and the card base too.

Now her hair I have to thank Rosie for her fabby tutorial on.I worried about red hair until I saw hers!!! thank you rosie xx

I love how my little gorjuss girl came out. I had so much fun making this one.
To tie in the blues and the book page I made some more yummy mini flowers with my SU boho flowers punch and a bit of crafty notions spray ( very messy but totally oodles of fun!!!) the centres in these little flowers are punched Lou faux brads!! mmmm, not sure the sparkliness is showing up on the flowers :( and I added a few little blue pearls in the top left corner.

I added a squidge of hemp twine, and a couple of knots and the card was done.

I am entering this card in the Charisma Cardz challenge blogs distressing challenge.

Well, I am going to put the kettle on and have a cuppa and a jammy ring, anyone want one??!! thank you for popping in on me.

huge hugs Lou xxxx

Cuddly Buddly -anything goes challenge.

Papers- Tea's Up and Funky Little Christmas from Funky hand.

Morning peeps!!!

urgh, I am a teensy bit grumpy and sleepy this morning. At 1am this morning one of our lovely nieghbours decided it was time to get very noisy and let off some fireworks. Letting them go up into the sky and waking everyone up was not enough so they let some go off down the road too, one even went under someone's car before exploding so I am very thankful it was just a little rocket. Luckily Mo slept through it all but Scott and I are both zombies this morning!!! Anywhoo, enough grumbling from the grouchy one, time to cheer myself up with a bloggy post!!!

The challenge over on Cuddly Buddly's let keep creating digi challenges this week is anything goes so I thought I would share a few more of the cards I have been making with my big sister's Cold Days digi (which is available in the Cuddly Buddly shop!!)
I absolutely love christmas, its my favourite time of the year. I think when you work with little children like I do it keeps it all alive, so I am going to enter these little creations in the Craft your passion challenge blogs Favourite season challenge.

I am so determined not to be in a mega rush making all my chrimbo cards a week before christmas so am quite chuffed with myself for getting a little stasheroo going!!!!
Papers from DCWV stash, can't remember what they were called...
Papers- Funky Little Christmas from Funky Hand
pink bazzil.

I have really enjoyed playing around with different colours for her but my fav has to be the first one with the blues and browns in that gorgeous Funky Hand papers with a juicy bit of bling on the heart!

I think thats me for this morning. We are off to the park for mo to run off some oompf this morning. They are having a skateboard ramp event today so Mo is looking forward to that. In his words " he is quite interested in doing that", oh he makes me giggle with the way he says things!!!! romfl!!!

Off to get myself dressed and sorted!! Have a fabulous sunday and thank you so much for coming back to see what I have been creating.

Phew!!!!

So onto Aida!! isn't she gorgeous??!!!

I decided she is just perfect for all those chicks going off on their university/ gap year adventures around now so that it was I based my card around and it came out cute. I kept the same colour scheme throughout and of course had to add some pearls in there too!!!

Here's another angle piccy so you can see the gold clasps and nails in her suitcase!!

You can get Aida Here at the Tiddly Inks store ( oh and watch out for another post soon as there is a boy too!!! He is called Aidan  and is perfect for those boys taking the same journey to university/gap years!!).

The little RNLI flag is because she loves the RNLI!! and who doesn't if we are honest, they do an awesome job keeping us all safe when in trouble on the water.

It must be the school holidays that are mushing my brain!! I am actually getting to the point where I can't remember which day it is but I shouldn't complain as I am absolutely loving my time off with my little guy. Today we have done bowling and a yummy lunch and Mo went off to the park with daddy this afternoon so I could make an attack on the ironing pile that has been overtaking Ryan's bed since he went on hols on tuesday!!!!!

Mo's digital pencil too Anything but a card challenge.

Hello again peeps!!! I am a 2 posts in one day gal today!!!!

When I saw the  Anything but a card challenge over on Mo's digital challenge blog I had to have a go at entering with a little box bag I have been working on today!!!
Little Mo and Boo came home from the play area kinda comatose so I have been having a little make whilst they veg out!!! (Lucky me, think I will go to the play area daily from now on!!!!)
I found a completely awesome tutorial for this box over on qbeesquest's blog last week.

I had an order for a Dad birthday card that was a bit special and this is what I have come up with. ( said special dad likes golfing!!) Out came my mo's digital pencil Big Guy Golfing, a total must when you know lots of golfy people!!!!

Here's a view from the side.... yup, I know you are thinking where the heck is the Big Guy????!

I even made a cute mini golf ball for the opening part which is hiding a bit of velcro.
....and this is how it opens up to reveal my little surprise inside!!! I added a golf ball!!!!

Its a golf ball inside!!! hence needing the velcro fastening for a good strong close when the bag is all tucked up.

There is a fantastic verse about how Dad's were created. It is my all time fav and my dad's are probably fed up of getting it!!! but its so lovely. Here's a linky to the verse (especially for Ali who needed it xxxxxxx)
I made the golf ball holdery bit out of a loo roll and covered it in matching dp to the rest of my box.
I included a tag to write on too for any personal greeting.

I really really enjoyed making this one so Thank you to mo's DT for giving me the push with all their fabulous creations over on the challenge blog, go check them out yourself as they are fab!!

Thank you for popping in on me!! hugs Lou xxxx

New Tiddly inks Vampires- ooohhhhh!!

Image-Vamp Me  from Tiddly Inks.
 Morning peeps!!!

Now, most of you know I love Twilight ( roll on november.....) so when Christy sent out the new Vampire Tiddly Inks Images I literally squeeled and set to work straight away ( ......then had to stop for a couple of hours after Little Mo gave himself a hair cut to get some hair for the 'First lock of hair' pocket in his baby book that was empty.....)

I absolutely love the new images and got to work making a couple of fun cards with them. The first one above uses Vamp me   and the coffin and gravestone from the Vampire extra pack. I just had to make a coffin shape card with the coffin!!!! Now, my boy vampire on this one actually sparkles like Edward from Twilight   ( mmmmmmmmm..Edward....) but could I get it to show in the photo.......No :) !!!

And then onto my second card which uses Forever and some of the word art from the Vampire extra pack. I flipped the word art onto its side and merged it with the image. The ribbon is from my lovely friend Clare's shop, Cloud nine in Horncastle and I love it, gotta go get more!!! and the text paper is just a page from one of my old books that I have beaten up a bit and added black soot distress ink to. The flower is a scrunched up scalloped circle flower made with more book, 8 layers with a gorgeous basic grey brad in, love it.
Image- Forever from Tiddly Inks.

Now, I couldn't have a Tiddly post without sharing the birthday card I made for a dear friend to give to her OH for his birthday. She is moving and had packed up all of her crafty stuff (omg...I am so feeling the withdrawal for her!! having it all and not being able to make would be absolute torture for me!!)

I merged all the wizards  ( Christy made one with glasses and one without in one download, awesome!!) and wizardette together for this one and I love love love it!!! I made the little wand in the top left out a matchstick and the little snake in the bottom left is cut on my cricut.
Image- Wizard and Wizardette from Tiddly Inks.
It needed red and blue and harry potter theme so I think I got it all in!!! I even squeezed in a romantic love heart!!! there is glossy accents on Harry's glasses and Hermionie's magical bubbles!!
Well, that's me for today I think!! not sure I can squish any crafting in today, busy me!!!

Thank you so much for popping in on me, your comments really inspire me to keep going and sharing.
Huge hugs Lou xxx

Cuddly Buddly challenge 6- Faux or real stitching.

Morning peeps!!!!

Urgh, we have woken up to rain and grey skies this morning :( but to cheer myself up I have been busy creating a little card to enter in the Cuddly Buddly's lets keep creating challenge blogs Real or Faux stitching challenge.

I love stitching, it is one of the things I find really relaxes me. I used to cross stitch all the time before I was bitten by the paper crafting bug so a bit of running stitch seemed to be in order for my card.

My martha stewart cherish edger is always a fabulous one for stitching. It looks beautiful without the stitching too so its an all round winner of a punch really!!!

My little girly image is from my big sisters new wintery ones and I totally adore her. She is called Cold Days and is a complete bargain at 99p!!! I sized her up so I could fit 6 of her on one A4 size piece of digi smooth cardstock. I haven't finished colouring them all up yet but here's a little close up of her!!! she is just so sweet with her windswept hair and bobbly hat. And of course she needed fluffy wuffy snow to stand in....

The papers are all from my old stash of papermania ones. This little 6x6 pad is slowly fading to nothing now but I love it!! I will be so sad when it is all gone!! I punched out one of the little circles from the merry christmas sheet and embossed it to get my little sentiment button. I love it!

So, thats me for this morning!!! Don't forget to pop on over to the Cuddly Buddly blog as there is still time to enter this weeks challenge using a Cuddly Buddly digi. I am determined to enter earlier next week!! it always seems to be wednesday before I get myself organised!!

Have a fabulous day!!
