Fi's Ladybird Challenge.

 cut from Doodlecharms cricut cart

Morning peeps!!!

Well I think I am on the mend this morning (....says Lou with everything crossed!!) after feeling quite unwell yesterday and having to leave cricut club early!
I did manage to do my bit fir Fi's Ladybird challenge though!
Fi set us the challenge of using a Ladybird cut so this is what I came up with!!!! 2 cute hairgrips and a wellie peg using the doodlecharms ladybird. He is covered with some anita's gloss on both to make him look all shiney!!!
To make them look even cuter I made some backing for them to sit on using my Colour Me Happy papercraft factory from Funky Hand (.....yes Lou and her gingham obsession strike again!!!!). I also used it on my peg to funky it up a bit!!

So today I need to spend resting up and catching up with everyone's bloggy posts. Little Mo wants to do some cutting out from his new mickey font cart (he looks at the back of his box and says  ....."ooooh oooh mummy ooooh look mummy, its got a ticket on! oh we can have tickets for everything..")......Lucky me!! wonder if I will get one for going to the loo?!!

Huge hugs

Hello Peeps!

Urgh I am sick :(   . My throat is grossly sore, I have a temp, runny nose and I feel so sick its pants!! but I still had a card t make because its Grandad's birthday and I was going to do it yesterday but I had to go back to bed in the afternoon due to feeling worser than I feel today!!! OOhhhhhh I am such a wimp but I don't do poorly!!!!

So todays card was a quickie make but still full of oodles of love! I cut myself a couple of tags from my george cart on my cricut an stamped my gorgeous lazy little boy straight onto it ( no colouring because my hands are a bit shakey!) and then it was just a case of a couple of sentiments and some foam to make them all stand out.
I popped a squidge of rafiaon my punched border and the top of the tag and thats about it really!!! can you tell I am feeling sorry for myself!!! Lol!!!

I might be back later for a bloggy womble!!

Hello peeps!!
I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. Mine only started today as I was on a course yesterday at work but oh wow it was fabulous. We had 2 ladies from Reggio Emilia come to talk to us about the principles they use in their education centres. It was awesome and I feel completely inspired and rejuvinated in my job...just in time to have a week off with Mo!!! :)
So now I have to firstly apologise to Lou who has probably fallen off her chair because I have actually entered the Basic Grey Challenge this week!!!!! Every 2 weeks I promise myself I will stop stroking my Basic Grey paper stacks and use them!!
The challenge is a sketch challenge and it is lovely.

I managed well last week making some boy cards with one of my stacks but this week it was the turn of my Sugared paper pad. All the papers on my card are out of that pad apart from the paper i stamped Raven and the sentiment on, they are white with a good old splodging of Antique Linen distress ink on!!!!

This stack is seriously stroke only in my crafty room but in celebration of both my treasured bloggy friends Fleur and Lou being on the Basic Grey challenge DT I have used some!!!!!!
I coloured Raven up, trying to use similar colours to my yummy papers and I made my flowers with scraps of my paper too!! ooh so organised!!!! (...nope it won't last!!!!)

Right then I am off to get a cuppa and get Mo ready for bathtime fun and then I might even go back out and do a bit more making!!!
huge hugs

A little bit of Tiddlying on fabulously inky friday!!

sentiment from Jacquie's Blog.
Backing paper- file folder chopped up!!
Red chalk ink for edges.
Morning everybody!
Oh I am so excited today because it is half term next week!! I have a really exciting Reggio course at work tomorrow too so I am feeling good today ( which is fab because I have been in the doldrums for the past couple of days!!)

Anyway, its fabulously inky friday today over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and I thought I would cheer myself up yesterday with a quick Tiddly make! I used the lovely Harmonious house set, (it comes with a matching tree too) and I made a really neat frame in my MTC software. I popped a share of the file HERE if anyone would like it. If you do download my frame and have a make with it I would love to see it. Its my first MTC share and I am really excited about it!!!

I cut my frame using my Love Love Love heart paper, it looks so sweet with teeny hearts popping up all over it and the sentiment is from an awesome ladies blog who I love to smooch around! she does lovely word art sentiments (  all linkies at top under piccy!!)
And did you check out my funky new water splotch from Christy?!!! its so cute!! I love it!! Thank you Christy!!!
Right then, I must get myself a cuppa and some toast, my tummy is a rumbling!!!

Love in my draws!! My Funky Fifteenth make!!

Good morning peeps!

Well two days has passed since the Funky Fifteenth so that means its my turn to share with you my take on our lovely Jules's 'Show Us Your Heart' challenge over on Get Funky. ( click on the linky to go see Jules post and gorgeous card if you haven't already seen it!).

Urgh, its just a box you think..........but ohhhhhhhh..........
Urgh...its a box with a lid then you all think....but wait....oooooooooh (can you tell I was excited making this yet? :) )
I decided to get all technical for mine and made myself some cute little draws to put little choccies in for my amazing hubby. I adore the new Love,Love,Love download in the shop so that just had to get used along with my trusty cricut for cutting the heart.

At only £3.19 this is such a fabulous download! there's paper for boys in abundance on it which is great for me as the projects for the boys in my life are the ones I always struggle with!!!

So, a quick reminder that to enter you need to grab your favourite Funky Hand papers and add a heart and then linky your entry HERE on Jules's first post.

If you need a bit of help in the heart department our lovely Anice has been busy creating you all a gorgeous Heart paper freebie to use if you would like to.

And of course, don't forget to pop back into Get Funky on Friday 19th Feb when Anice will be strutting her stuff with her make!!

Morning peeps!!

Its Tiddly Tuesday again!!! That means yummy new images in the shop and a new and exciting challenge on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog!!! yey!!! I love tuesdays!!!
So onto the Tiddly challenge for this week which is.......

Monochromatic

so grab your fav Tiddly Inks images and get on with creating some monochromatic gorgeousness!!
Link them using the little linky frog over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog before 10pm CST on monday 21st Feb. Don't forget to womble over and see what the Tiddly Inkers have been making to inspire you, they are absolutely amazing.

For mine I used the super cute Cookie Bugg and her set which is called Cookies Galore.I love the sentiment!!!
I wanted to keep it simple and I chose brown for my monochromatic colour scheme.
I coloured and glossy accented the choccy chips in her cookie to make them look even more delicious and also dotted some around the bottom part of my card for more choccy chips!!!
Mo loves this card and wants to pinch it for his teacher, Mrs.Kay. She is the most awesome teacher and Mo thinks the world of her. He came home so happy after his castle visit yesterday. Mo struggles with school trips and really gets himself in a worry. He said he got upset and cried and she got him a tissue and made him feel all better and brave. I am so proud and extremely lucky to have such an awesome and caring lady look after Mo all day. Thank you Mrs. Kay xxxxx

I also want to remind you thatit is the Funky Fifteenth of the month today and the lovely Jules is our hostess with the mostest so she will be setting us all off with an exciting new challenge for the month over on Get Funky. Don't forget to check back every 2 days and see what the next Funkette has to inspire you!!!

We had a lovely night last night watching Russell Crowe in Robin  Hood. I loved it!!
I have been spoilt rotten for valentines day with some new pj's, a lounge suit and the 3 twilight films on blue ray.
I will be able to share the gift I have made for Scott on thursday!!! though its not as fancy as all the bits I got for valentines day!!! bless him, he's such a super guy and I love him so much. Sorry for the soppiness but he really is an amazing guy.
Love at first byte from Tiddly Inks was the perfect image for a card made especially for my hubby and the papers from Funky Hands Colour Me Happy and just amazing because they are fab for a boy card in this colourway and the dashy one so reminds me of computers and robots!!!
Mo is off for a school trip to the castle this morning which he is very excited about and I am off to work. It was grossand grey when we woke up but the sun is beginning to shine a bit now so I am hopeful it will clear up and be a jolly day after all.

Ok so did you like my beatles intro?!!!! :)

I have been having a bit of a play with Funky Hands fabulous Love Love Love download this morning!! Who could resist a bit of funkiness for valentines day?! I think they are just perfect.
The challenge over on papertake weekly is Have a Heart so I am popping these little cuties in  for that challenge!!!

The cuts on these cards are from my doodlecharms cart on my cricut, love that cart!!!!

So today I am multi tasking!! Mo and I are watching night at the museum 2 with popcorn whilst the cleaner soaks into the bath and the bleach soaks into the toilets! then onto the mountain of ironing I got washed over the last 2 days and fab hubby hung out to dry around the house whilst I was at craft club yesterday.
Mo wants to go on daddy's computer later so I am hoping to attempt to find my craft desk under all the mess while he does that and then hopefully we can have a lazy afternoon!!!

All the stamped sentiments on these cards come from the Love n That Betty stamp set, also from Funky Hand.

Loving Dawny's sketch!!!!

 Hello peeps!!!

Yup I am addicted to Dawny p's fab sketch on the LOTV challenge blog and have had to do some more!!!
I used the paper left from my challenge card to make another very similar one, different colour bike this time!!!
And some of my other basic grey paper to make the little rosie one.
The sun was actually shining which meant the picture taking was easy today ( no Lou cursing at pants lighting, yukky flash drowning out yummy card or trying to find the lightest windowsill in the house!!!!)
Its off to craft club for me tomorrow so I am going to be organised and go and have an hour out in my crafty garage sorting out some 'kits' for me to make up while I am there.
I have made 2 already ( ...and yup, they go with dawny's sketch....again!!!) so I figure by the time I take out for wombling around and chatting at craft club I could do with 4 more sets so I have 6 or 7. If I actually manage to make them all I will blog my triumph tomorrow night when I get home!!!
Have a fabby friday peeps!!

LOTV challenge 84- sketch by dawny.

Me again!!!!
Well when I saw Dawny p's yummy sketch on the Lili of the valley challenge blog I just had to get straight on with my entry so here it is!!! If you want to see the yummy sketch and all the team LOTV's gorgeous cards you will have to womble over to their challenge blog!!! it is most definately worth a huge visit!!
So for my challenge card I used my gorgeous little Riding my bike  stamp. He got inked up quicker than a flash in rich cocoa memento ink  fora soft look and splodged down onto my paper for a good colouring with my promarkers and some frayed burlap distressing!! I was thinking muddy boys and all that!!!!
He is sitting on some very gorgeous, stroke only basic grey papers that have been nestled quietly in my paper cupboard for a long time!! I thought the bike paper was just perfect to go with him!!
The sentiment is LOTV too and came in the A5 set when I bought them from the LOTV stand at doncasters stamp magic last year.
Well, I promise I am going this time!!! its ben a bit of a boy cards day for me today!!! lol!!! ( scroll down for my Tiddly Inks Gamer boy card I posted earlier!!)
Off to feed the hungry little mo now who has informed me he is ...." so hungry that his little tummy is talking to me and says I need food mummy"!! romfl!!!

A night with my big sis and scorch!!!

Morning peeps!!!
Oh I had such a fun night last night catching up with my big sister. We haven't seen each other in at least a month to have some fun in my crafty garage so I was really pleased to get some big sis crafty time!!
( ....actually most of it involves us being very silly and daft and making each other laugh!!!! but we actually made something last night!!!!!)

So last night we made a card each with Scorch . Isn't he fab!!!!!! it has been so long since I had coloured in and played with one of my big sister's images but this super cute little guy was just calling to me!!!! We both had the same ingredients sketch wise for our base so check out sam's blog to see what she did with hers!!! (...... lou makes note to poke big sister with stick and get her to post hers too,she has an older scorch card on there but its not the one she made last night...poke...poke....poke!!!!)

All I need now is for the sun to come out so I can take a better picture than this one but being as it is still dark here this is the best I could do this morning!! :)

Today is just a vegging out and playing day here today so I am really looking forward to that.
Have a super saturday peeps and don't forget today is the last day to join in with the  magnolia blog candy, kindly donated by Alicraft,on my blog, the winner will be up tomorrow (...says Lou hoping she is up in time to draw the winner on time, if not it will be a little later than 6am as our human alarm clock, little mo, has been getting up a little later!!!)

Have a fabby saturday peeps

My january scrap page!!!

Hello peeps!! I know.....another 2 postings day!!! (scroll down or hit older post to see my craft the year away post!!)
Being a bit pants at it, I made myself a promise to do at least one scrapbook page a month this year and this is my January one!!
Scott took this picture of little Mo on the rock wall last summer and after stroking my basic grey archaic papers once again I decided I really should open the cellophane wrapper and use them!!
I glued a lot of string onto this one to represent the rope that helped mo to stay safe on the wall!.
Here's a bit of a close up so you can see the fabby  You Rock image from Tiddly Inks. I thought he was just perfect for this layout..

Yup, I know I have a long way to go in the world of learning scrapbooking but I am hoping if I do one a month I will look back next January and think Hey, I'm getting the hang of this!!!! :)
Off to pop in jacket tates now because I have crafty night with my big sis tonight and I can't wait!! she will be here in around an hour so I am going to get a bath now and get my comfy clothes on ( ...ack, who am I kidding, all my friends know that means pj's!!!)
Hugs Lou xxxxxxxxx

Fi's Cricut Club Branch challenge and mojo monday!!

Morning peeps!!!
Well its thursday so the weekend is almost here!!!!! I made this card last friday but I have only just remembered I didn't post it!! romfl!!!

Our very lovely Fi set us a challenge at our monthly cricut club. Our January challenge was to create a something using a branch cut. I headed for my yummy home decor cart for mine and cut the little flowery branch and bird.
I cut the bird and card base with bazill bling and I think they look beautiful all blingy and shiney.
I wanted to add a bit of dimension so I used the scraps of pink from my card base to punch out some flowers and added some beads in for the centres.
I stamped a little sentiment on my kraft looking card file folder and pucnched it out with my tag punch and popped a little string through it so I could hang it on the branch.
The edges are stamped with my fav swirly magnolia stamp!
I really like this card!! I am poppingit over on the mojo monday blog whose sketch this week is....

I think this card with its little branch fits in for it!!! I love the sketch too and am going to use it for a few more cards over the weekend.
Tomorrow Anice is back on C&C at 10am and 2pm to demo Craft The Year Away so I am really looking forward to posting a few of my Craft The Year Away creations tomorrow too!!!
Pootling myself off to work now peeps!! I'll be back when I finish work for a good old bloggy womble!

Baby blanket LOTV.

Morning peeps!!!
awwwww isn't he cute?! I love him to bits.
I made this card for the sister of one of my friends at work. I love how teeny and cute he looks with his snuggly.

I popped a little bit of black glaze pen on his eyes to make them stand out a little more ( added cutieness!!) and of course a teensy bit of blingaroo because I know Kelly likes bling! and the gorgeous paper is from my dcwv nanna's stack ( i swear that stack is going to last me forever, its fab!!).

I made Jack's name using Kirsten ITC font with my MTC software, it is so quick and being able to use my favourite font on a card was so special. I popped it up a bit with my silicone glue so it would hold the easel bit up.

I love the little touch of rafia with the bow too.
I searched and searched for a little blue dummy charm I had when I was making it to dangle from the bow but I couldn't find it, then when I went out to my craft room last night to make an anniversary card the blooming thing was sat in my button box!!!! sods law as the card had been aunty vicki-ed away to kelly, rubi and jack by then!!!!!! hey ho, maybe next time!!! lol!!!!!
I am determined to enter more challenges this year so I am entering him in LOTV's Anything but a square challenge.
Right off to get me ready for the day, yipeeeee for hump day!!!!! half way through the week peeps!! friday is on its way!!! :)

Tiddly Inks challenge 36- Kiss me, you fool !!

Morning peeps!!
wow Tiddly Tuesday is upon us again and the challenge from the Tiddly Inkers over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog this week is......
Kiss Me, You Fool!!

All you need to do is  include a kiss in sentiment or character using your Tiddly Inks images and enter them over on the challenge blog using the cute froggy before 10pm CST on Monday 7th February.

I had great fun with mine!! I found these lips in my MTC gallery and I want to thank the person who did them! they are super.
I coloured up my image- the beautiful Bloom Q  and set her aside whilst I sprayed my luscious lips with some crafty notions champagne spray (........not as easy as it sounds....shake bottle...try to spray...no worky....take apart...try again...spray self...oooh I look all sparkly...funny until I realise it won't come off.....put top back on....spray lips!!!! all to the amusement of Mo who nearly fell of daddy's computer chair laughing!!!!!) and dried them with my heat gun.

I popped the lips onto some black card and then drew around them to make my base card!! wohooo!! Lip shaped card!!!!
Then add one cute Bloom Q  and a little inkadinkadoo ticket stamped on file folder and cut out and hey presto!!!! card done!!!
