Mornig peeps!!
Wooohoooo!! its Tiddly Tuesday again and time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog!! Still in our movie month mode this week our theme is...
Nature..
and the Tiddly Inkers were given the task of making a 'something' based on a nature movie.
Strangely I knew what I wanted to do staright away for a change!! I even shocked myself!! One of my favourite nature movies from being small (....and Mo's too as he is still small!!!) is Watership Down.
I took the inspiration for my card from this picture of the book...
I masked over my little Bunny Boo and punched out a circle with some frisket and then played with my distress inks to get the autumny sunset type horizon. I used antique linen, scattered straw, vintage photo, frayed burlap and walnut stain (...yeah, i just like getting messy!!!!!) The grass was shabby shutters and forest moss. The moon has a touch of tattered rose in it for sunset.
Once I was done getting messy I took the frisket off and coloured my little Boo in promarkers- sandstone, caramel and cocoa. I went around the outside of him with buttercup to make him 'pop' off the hill.
I stamped on my card base with my gorgeous magnolia swirls and some whisper white SU ink then distressed that a bit too!!! :)
I added a little bit of satin ribbon and another yummy ribbon my mum bought me a while ago, its a bit like plastic but edged in fabric, I love it!!!
So pleeeeease pop on over to the Tiddly Inks challenge blog, armed with your fav Tiddly Inks image and a nature movie in mind!! If you need some inspiration go and see what the Tiddly Inks DT gals have come up with, they are rocking it as always!!!!!
have a fabby day peeps!!
Hugs Lou xxxx

I LOVED this movie, but admittedly some of the mean rabbits were a tad scary.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, your sunset turned out so yummy and I love the rose shading on the moon. Is so clever how you coloured it all in with stain.

ReplyDeleteLou, I love this book, it's in my top 5! And it's one of the few I have read more than once. The movie is awesome, too, and makes me cry every time I watch it. What an excellent choice for this challenge. Your card captures it's essence perfectly! Hugz, Cheryl
