Joy to the world!!

Papers- Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas.
Ribbon- Green Polka trim.

Morning everyone!!

I hope you have all had wonderful weekends. I had some crafty time all to myself on sunday afternoon and I enjoyed every minute of it making this little card.

There is something magical about white ink stamped on kraft card, I just love the look of it. The gingerbread house on the MFT Sweet christmas stamp set is just perfect for that christmassy feel, luckily there are some super sweet sentiments on the set to go with it so I made another tag to pop the sentiment on.

And oh my, those pierced tags stax are just soooo delicious to use, the little holes are so cute and they cut like butter, oooooh they are just so scrummy!!
Some stroke only papers and gorgeous polka dotted ribbon just finished it off.

Have a magical monday peeps!

eeeeep what a tonne of cool prizes (...Lou notes at this point she thought about entering under an alias to have a go at winning :) !!!!!!)
I just had to use the Tilda stamp I bought from my friend Kat on this one. She is just so delicious and supercute! then I added some flooooof in the form of die cuts, punches and elements from my first editions paper pad.

And now onto the little guy who had his 9th birthday yesterday (...sigh.....9 years old already?! omgosh that's gone so quickly!) He absolutely loved his party on saturday and then yesterday he was so excited to go to school because it was the christingle service. Anyone who is a regular reader to my daft little blog will know that Mo LOVES Jesus and his faith which we adore so we were so excited to join the whole school with lots of other mummy's and daddy's, grandma's and grandad's in the village church. The church itself is just stunning. Because it is in a rural location it hasn't been tarnished by pollution and inside is just as beautiful. It was Mo's first ever christingle!
Here he is....the photo is a little pants as its from the phone. I haven't gotten over my embarrassment from last week yet so I didn't dare take a camera with me, daft sensitive Lou :(

He carried so carefully you would of thought it was an eggshell! he didn't get one drip of wax down the sides of it and he asked me..

" If I eat my orange tomorrow mummy will I be filled with the light of Jesus"

awwwww! love this little guy!

He chose a chinese buffet tea at Yo-Yo in Bejing for his teat tea and he loved it!!!

Anywhoo, its time for this daft mamma to get her butt into gear! this last week has been so busy and today I have physio (...ack.......grrr I really don't enjoy physio one little bit, not even a squidge :( I was lucky enough to be ill last appointment and cancel it but being as I feel ok this week I have no excuse...arghhh!!) and I have a dog walk to do along with Mo's school nativity and carol concert this afternoon, I will be ready for bed tonight!!!

Thank you so much for popping in on me

Yarghhhhh!!! pirate cake again this year!!!

 Hiyah peeps!!

so its that time of year again and Mo is actually having a party tomorrow!!!...yes a party!! a real one! with 7 friends and hopefully 3 cousins!! We are still in shock that he asked for one!! (he is cheating a squidge though as he chose to have a movie party at my brothers cinema!!)
He has chosen 'The Muppets Christmas Carol' for his film because he has been doing victorians at school and its one of his absolute fav films too! got to admit I absolutely LOVE that film so I was super happy he chose it.
He put his party bags together with daddy this morning and mummy got busy on this cake. Its so cute, I love it. I worried about it being pants all day but it came together so nicely. Scott helped me to stick the matchstick choccies around the edges which was lovely...and he tested them to make sure they were ok.....!!!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the hollow choccy volcano!! its so cool!! it has an ice fountain candle inside it!!! soooo coool!! I can't wait to light it tomorrow!!!
And do you like my sand?!! he he he he!! I made that using digestive biscuits!!!! the ship, cross, rocks and skull are all made out of ready roll icing and painted up with distress inks!! he he he!!! I added some little choccie coins and treasure sprinkles in there too!
Mo was really happy with it! I called him in to look at it and he loved it.....  then he says..I got a pirate joke! "mummy, where do pirates hate to be kicked?.....in their arrssse"....sigh.........
Well, that's all from me today folks!! we are going to have a bath, have tea and then snuggle up on the settee to watch Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters.
Thank you for popping in on me

Sorry for Bee-ing so silly ....

Morning peeps!!

Its Throwback Thursday over on the Tiddly Inks blog, and its my turn to share a creation with us. I used the super cute 3x4 set called Happy Bee Day clear stamps.
Happy Bee Day Clear Stamp Set 3x4
and to compliment them just fabulously I used the honey comb paper from the Bugging Out paper set.
Bugging Out Digital Papers - Set of 3
So, why did I need to make a sorry card? :( because I am just a total nelly thats why :(

On Monday little Mo took part in his first ever celebration assembly at his new school and spoke about his Lowry picture to an entire hall full of parents. He spoke without having words written on a piece of paper to follow and just freely told them about how he did his picture. He looked at the wall the entire time but for him it was a massive achievement and I was so proud I was all teary.
I took a couple of photo's and came home buzzing that he is doing so well and his teacher is just so wonderful to help him gain so much confidence in the short time she has had him with her.
I carefully edited the photo's to make sure the children's faces were all airbrushed out and then shared the photo's of Mo on my facebook page.
What I didn't think think of doing was airbrushing Mo's teachers face too or asking permission to share the photo's first :( I am so ashamed of myself and so embarassed too :( I was so proud that I turned selfish and just wanted to share my joy.
One of my friends on facebook, who knows Mo's teacher, then went on to tell her that she had seen the photo's, in a nice way and Mo's headteacher said it was a lovely conversation but still that Mo's teacher felt a little strange being on a photo so I said I would remove them from my facebook.
I came home and did it right away.
I am so devastated. I spent yesterday feeling very upset and still fell horrid about it today :( so I made a card to say sorry.

I know it has all made me a lot more aware of facebook now and how people can be so I won't make the same mistake again and I just don't feel my normal happy self at the minute.

Thank you for popping in on me

(so if you're looking for my Tiddly Inks challenge post and Mo wafflies they are here!!)

WOJ

Here you go this weeks sketch:

I hope you like it! I am a simple sketch kinda chick!!!
I had some cards to get made for christmas and this one is for an 8 year old so I wanted something christmassy and fun!! I hope Isaac likes it!
I used sandstone, cocoa and burnt sienna for his fluffy parts! poppy, crimson and burgundy for his reds and pastel blue, denim blue and midnight blue for the blues.

Tiddly Inks challenge 123....Christmas!!!!!

Image-  Birthday Boy and papers from the Yummy paper set.

Morning Peeps!!

its Tiddly Tuesday so you know what that means? time for a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog!!! and this week its....

...so grab your favorite Tiddly Inks image and color-up a winter scene, a Christmas party, or a cheery holiday card. All creations using a Tiddly Inks image will qualify for a prize and a feature after the two weeks are up.  Please create something new, no back linking!

So I made Mo his christmas card with my DT make!! I love it! the trousers were so much fun to play with! I drew little lines with my promarkers fine tip end and then coloured them in all different colours! so much fun and they turned out too cute!!
I used the awesome Yummy Paper set too, its just so deliciously christmassy!!

Now, onto my little guy!! regular visitors to my blog will know that my little Mo is a little different and he has firm beliefs on christmas that have shaped our christmasses in the most beautiful way. Since he was 2 and old enough to understand things he has said that christmas is not about presents, its about baby Jesus and family and he does not do letters to santa. Too cute ....but mamma and daddy really needed some help this year sooooo mamma got busy on this....
and then this followed....

flour, glitter and Daddy's walking shoe's rock!!
and then this morning little feet got up at 5:30am and were so excited to find the letter that.....
" mummy I think I am going to fall over! I got a letter from Santa!!"
he plodded down to our room and let us read the letter and then plodded back to his room and got busy with this....
so I am a super happy and super proud mamma this morning! I love that there are just 3 things on it and that he said thanks for the letter!!

Christmas is magic!!!!

I'm going crackers!!!

Morning everyone!!

OOOOOH I am feeling so christmassy now and this gorgeous Cracker die came in my DT box for me to play with!!

Its a very addicting little die and I think I may have a whole tree full of them by christmas day. For the christmassy one I just added a little lace edge with the Sweet lovely lace Doo Hickey die. I also cut out one of the toppers from the Kaisercraft Just Believe pad and tied a twine bow through one of the red ribbon sliders and then hot glued it to the topper. It looks so pretty.

........ but do you know what was even more fun?!! making little party favours for Mo's friends with it for his birthday party in a couple of weeks! His birthday is on the 16th December so I thought these would make such fun favours!!! and they don't bang which is awesome as Mo does not like cracker bangs!!! he he he!!!
There is enough room in there to squish 3 celebration/Hero's sweets in and a balloon!!! I will try and get some photo's taken of them for you when I have finished them off!!!

And whilst on the subject of the little guy I thought I would share a little piccy of him from yesterday. We had to pick up his new glasses and he has been very worried about them. When we got there the optician said that he really needed to keep them on all day to help his eyes adjust and he was very worried about that but he came through it like an absolute trooper. We took him out for lunch to Handmade Burger for a super treat because he did so well and I bought him a meerkat glasses stand for when he takes them off, its so cute! he had the choice of so many but he loves meerkats so thats what he chose.
Here he is in his new glasses!!!

He looks so sweet!!
Thank you for popping in on me. I have been a little quiet of late with everything going on but I am hoping to get back to my normal bloggy self soon!
Huge hugs Lou xxxx

Starting a little something special from Mamma for the little guy!!

Morning gorgeous peeps of the world!!!

Oh my! I am flying into bloggyland by the seat of my pants this morning as Little Mo actually slept until 7am!!! I can't believe it...and its so much nicer than the normal 4:30am snuggle call!! lol!!!!!

So we have about 6 mins before we need to leave for school but I wanted to share this little altered house I have started making for Mo's birthday pressie from me. He LOVES 'Where the wild things are' so I just had to use Tiddly Inks King of the Wild ones for him.

The gorgeous papers are from the Crate Paper story teller 12x12 stack. They are perfect for a little guy who love exploring.

I am only half way through his little box but I am so enjoying it, making things for your little peeps is just the best feeling ever.

The little stones (...Mo has a thing for stones..!!) are stuck on with hot glue so they don't tumble out every 5 mins!!!

I will pop another piccy on next tuesday so you can see its progress!!

Huge 'oh my gosh I am so behind because my little guy slept in' Hugs from Lou xxxxx

Sledging!!

Stamp- Whimsy stamps Time for Tea Sledging.
Coloured with Promarkers.

Morning everyone!!!

I hope you are having a wonderful monday morning so far. I was in the festive mood again so it was time to ink up this Time for Tea designs stamp!

I went for those stunning kaisercraft Just believe papers again because they are just beautiful. I layered up a few of the snippets I had left from last weeks card then fussy cut around my sledging girl.

I popped her out on some foam so she wasn't flat on the card and popped one of the die cuts from the paper pack just behind her head.

Now...do you like my new watermark?!! eeeep!! I do!!! my gorgeous hubby made it for me in photoshop elements. He made me a black one to print out on the back of all my cards. I do have a similar stamp but I keep forgetting to put it on or I just can't be doing with the faff of finding the stamp after the card is finished!! Lazy Lou!!

So all my blank cards now have this printed on the back of them!! yey!!! they are all ready to be decorated!!! I love my husband so much because he is so good at these things!

He says he is also happy to make them for others at a cost of £2 each so if you would like one please email me ( theres a little link down my sidebar) .

Today I have a scan to get to...urgh...one of those awful lady ones...urgh.......!!! but after that I might get some crafty time in!

Thank you for popping in on me!
huge hugs Lou xxx
